UPDATE: It looks like this problem has been fixed, as a number of people contacted me to say they had been experiencing the problem but now were able to submit – good news!
OK – I am seeing a lot of people having a consistent problem that I would like to try and resolve. So – if you are someone that is experiencing the error as shown below AND you don’t mind showing me all your entry details plus photo – I want to go through the process with at least one person to see if I can figure out what is happening.
The error is the one that starts ” the request URL was rejected. Please consult with your administrator. “
So – if you have that problem, and you are ok with me seeing your details then please contact me by email at XXX edited by Simon XXXX Please do not use this email address for any other reason. Just this particular error and ONLY if you are not “shy” about me seeing your details.
I will then setup a screen sharing session and will help you with the entry. It would help if you can speak English pretty well so we can communicate. And I would need to do this in the next 2 or 3 hours, so that probably means early morning in Eastern Europe, or Asia.
So to recap :-
- You must be experiencing that particular error.
- You must be prepared to let me see your complete entry process.
- You should be able to speak English well
- You should be able to join a screen sharing session from a computer (mac or PC)
I will update this page once I have a volunteer or two.

Hello Brit.
I want to know if for example I have a growing hair on my passport, and on the day of my visa interview it cut Down.
1. Can that affect my looks for the CO?
2.do I need another passport that represent my current looks?

It’s very odd to have a passport that is growing hair. You may want to take the passport to the doctor.

I have tried several times with every way I could, but still no luck until I saw this site. It appears the problem is from the photo size. I did compress my photo and get the size down to 44kb. This does help me a lot. Thank you everyone here for providing such as helpful information here. Thank you!!!!
If you need to compress the photo size, please search “compress JPEG” on the google. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice Simon.
My experience for what it’s worth, perhaps it can help:
Finally got two family entries in. Filesize seems to be the issue. Below 90Kb goes in on first attempt, above 90Kb can take several attempts. If the file is already cropped to 600×600, and the filesize is above 90Kb, it is not possible to crop further, but the size can be reduced by opening in MS Paint and save again as jpg. (Just open and save under a different name).
You can submit only one picture at a time on the derivatives (dependents) page. It seems to reduce the chance of a server timeout.
Thanks for your page and advice.

This is right. Please compress your image to a maximum of 90kb before playing.

I hope you read or watched some of my suggestions.

I have the exact problem.
Seems to be related to the picture attachment. You attach it, it’s the url rejected error. You don’t attach anything, it goes through but prompt you to complete that field (choose a picture to upload).
I’ve tried Safara, Chrome, Edge and IE, with two internet connections.
I even used the uncropped picture, and using the dvlottery cropping tool to create a new crop – the result is the same.

Make sure your photo is jpg, and small file size.
