This visa bulletin covers April interviews.
For those that are current, and have forms processed early enough, they can expect their 2NL in about 2 weeks from now. I know I am going to get a lot of people who will ask me this exact question – so let me say that again. 2NLs for April interviews will be sent in about two weeks time. They will include interviews for cases that have been made current in this latest visa bulletin AND backlog cases that were already current last month but the DS260 was submitted late.
I have to say – these are great numbers – higher than I expected in AF in particular. Nepal and Asia have also moved on nicely.
I am chuckling at EU and OC. They have got so close to being current without actually being current. OC for example only have 10 case numbers left that are not current. Imagine being one of those 10! EU only has 18 case numbers not current. So – essentially this means EU and OC are basically current already – for April interviews.
The backlog seems to be massively reduced now so progress from now on can be largely due to new VB numbers, not backlog.
Read this link if you are unsure how to read the visa bulletin.
For those that cannot understand why the pace has slowed down, please read this post from months ago that explained the backlog effect on the VB. People should also read my analysis posts over the last week or so, and catch up with the CEASC data that I have published.
AFRICA – 23800(Last month 18700)
ASIA – 5800(Last month 4900)
Except Nepal – 5100(Last month 4350)
EUROPE – 24500(Last month 20800)
OCEANIA – 950(Last month 850)
SOUTH AMERICA, and the CARIBBEAN – 925(Last month 800)

Hi BritSimon!
What do you think about the winners of 2020 DV applicants?
February 17, 2022 at 13:09
They need to wait still.

On the March bulletin…. it was released (historically) 9/3/17, 9/3/16 and 11/3/15. Those dates were the second Wednesday and second Thursday or March- giving me a prediction of either today or 14/3/18….. I know we don’t know but my impatience likes to predict….

LOL. That’s hilarious.

February 7, 2018 at 21:42
Hi BritSimon. I’m just wondering if there’s a chance that the bulletin could be released tomorrow? It was released on the 8th of Feb in 2017. It would make my day if it was the case.
February 7, 2018 at 22:20
It is sometimes released that early – wait and see.

Hi mr brit,i am concerned about question 11 on i-134 form.what do you think ?how should be answered? I have read that if you are inviting someone the sponsor needs to specify what kind of help will give during the visit, but what should my sponsor answer because i will be immigrant and i wont live with my sponsor.please help
March 23, 2016 at 13:55
The ideal answer is something like “I will provide financial support as needed for as long as needed”.
March 23, 2016 at 14:07
Thank you!
February 16, 2018 at 07:08
I couldn’t find this questions on pages. Where is it? Thanks!
March 22, 2016 at 21:39
Hi Simon my case was put on AP since 03.03.2016 due to missing I-134 form from the sponsor, I was able to find my long distance relative to sponsor me. However he is in California, the fact is that when I updated my DS260 form I said I will be living in Missouri. How should I forward this case simon. Would the embassy be strict that I should live with the sponsor since he is providing me free accommodation? In this Case should I email them saying that the information on the DS 260 on Permanent address the card should be delivered and intended place to live after arrival to be changed to California where my sponsor resides.
March 22, 2016 at 22:14
As long as your sponsor is not specific about the type of help being offered, it will be assumed that the help is financial. In that case, there is no need to live with the sponsor….
March 22, 2016 at 22:32
Thanks simon, he has been specific that he will provide me free accomadation. So in this case should I inform the embassy through email together with the I-134 form

Yes.

Thanks in advance.

The old one will most likely be accepted, but if you want to reduce the risk, get a new one.

The case information you entered does not match our records. Please try again or contact the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) by email ([email protected]) or by phone (Public Inquiry Phone Number 606-526-7500 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EDT Monday – Friday) for further assistance.
That is what i got whenever i ut case no and date of birth tonsing up for the ds 260 form online was lazy enought i paid agency to fill on my behalf can it be mistake on the first entry
case no is totaly correct bt what is wrong AF37***
March 4, 2016 at 15:51
The DS260 system requires your case number (The FULL number such as 2016AF00012345 ) plus the full birthday. If you still can’t get in, then yes – that means there was a mistake on the original form.

Hi Britsimon,
I’m dv lottery winner for 2016 and my number is 37xxx when can i probably go for the interview? and secondly am pregnant for 2months outside wedlock and am not planning to get married will that lead to my denies for visa
February 22, 2016 at 12:01
Interview in July most likely. The pregnancy will not cause a denial unless they believe you have financial risk because of the new baby.
February 20, 2016 at 04:04
Hi Britsimon.
I am case number AF19k and I’m now current. Sent in my DS260 in time before end of May. However I’m not sure which site to use to access my 2nd NL. Please advice.
Thankyou.
February 20, 2016 at 04:29
The same place you saw the selected letter. The Entrant status check (ESC) page.
February 20, 2016 at 03:18
Thanks Simon my DS-260 was
submitted on may 28
February 19, 2016 at 22:55
Hello,
Are there any other statuses for DS-260 besides “incomplete” and “complete” because I wasn’t able to find more information on that? I have submitted it in late August or early September 2015. My case number is EU22XXX and since it is already current I am getting inpatient for the 2NL.
Thanks for all you are doing!
February 19, 2016 at 23:10
The DS260 status doesn’t indicate anything other than submitted or not.
You will probably get your 2NL in the next few days, a week at most.
February 19, 2016 at 23:12
Thanks for the swift reply.
Cheers!
