Just as a matter of interest – these were my predictions from my 2NL analysis a couple of weeks ago. I pretty much nailed it – although EU is very slightly above my estimate (by 126 CNs!)
AF – 34XXX – 35XXX
EU – 32XXX – 33XXX
AS – 58XX – 59XX
OC – 1150 – 1200
SA – surprise!
If your number has become current AND your DS260 is processed, then you can expect an email in about 7 to 10 days from now. The email doesn’t have the appointment details but simply prompts you to check the ESC website where your 1NL (selected letter) will have been replaced by an appointment letter.

Your number is not current yet – so it is still at the “default” status – “at NVC”. You might get current in the next VB (July interview) – if not, then certainly for the one after that (August), but I lean toward July.

1. There are some reports that they are speeding up – but I have not confirmed that yet. You still have a good chance.

the progress of AF is so bad… only 545 real cases… if we suppose the response rate is 63% that means only 343 new AF cases for june interview… most interview slots occupied by those who submitted very late… hopefully things will be better next.

I beleive Asia will go by more than 1000 for July. The backlog is almost gone, and more Iranians are being cleared almost everyday, based on what I’m hearing. I hope my number (AS700**) becomes current for July. I don wanna wait till August. Great job Simon on your analysis and well made predictions.

The Iranian AP cases doesn’t affect the VB. So it is purely a matter of capacity/target, and how many cases are coming from the backlog, which must be almost gone, as you say. As a rough guess I would expect you to be in August, but I will update predictions when I see the 2NLs in CEAC.

I hope next VB will have a higher jump. I am starting to get worried now. I am from Nepal and have to do AOS. I am afraid the quota for Nepal will be filled by the time my case is processed (by the time I get interview) even if it becomes current. I was not prepared for this as I thought with 67XX I had 100% chance.

You will be fine. You will probably be current next VB, and if not, the one after (August current). Either way, you can submit early and have plenty of time to do the aos. Relax!
