Hi Brit, my sponsor mailed me the I-134 and tax returns form. But the I-134 form is not signed, instead, she wrote her first name’s initial and her last name (her husband’s middle name.) The tax return form is completely not signed. Then, in the I-134, she has not indicated how she intends to support me although she checked (I intend) in the box that asked if she intends to support me. Is there anything to worry about? Hi Brit. we successfully went through our Visa Interviews. Thanks so much for your support and time you put in to help others. We now plan to leave for the US some time in November 2019.
Please advise if these changes will affect our entry into the US.

My sponsor provided me with just the I-134 form. Are the supporting documents a must? What will be the consequences if I cannot submit those documents? I am trying to qualify using my education qualifications.

Yes they are a must.

i have a question on this affidavit of support .
Is it compulsory to have sponsor If we can show enough money ?
During this difficult situation it is difficult to arrange the Affidavit of Support and people might not like to add an extra responsibility to their families.
I`m in a situation where I have money but I don’t have a sponsor.
appreciate if you could advice.

Hello! My sponsor owns two houses, and I am just wondering what is required in regards to estimating/proving their value? Does he actually need to have somebody come out and value them, or is an estimate from a website like Zillow enough?
Thanks so much for your help!
September 19, 2020 at 5:37 pm
You don’t value houses. Someone could own a 1 million dollar house with a 1 million dollar mortgage – it doesn’t mean anything.
They care about income.

Hello Simon, I have two questions.
1. I heard you said that I-134 can be scan or email to the application. Does it mean I don’t need to send the original I-134 to the application?
2. My dad has already petitioned my brother who just won the DV 2020 since 2017, but I am wondering if he has the A-number in Part 2 #4. Is it fine to N/A?
March 7, 2021 at 2:23 pm
1. You don’t upload the I-134 anywhere. You show the original or a copy at the interview.
March 15, 2021 at 7:26 pm
When I fill up I-134 form, I encountered couple issues that I don’t understand.
1. Part 3, 22.a. My sister used to petition my parents around 15 years ago, but she did not remember the date and month. Do I need to fill up this question with my parents name or just say None.
2. Part 3, 26.a. Does this question is the same as 22.a or different? This question is kinda confusing a little bit. Could you please clarify this question?
3. Part 1 3.a. When it says in care of, does it refer to sponsor or beneficiary name?
4. Part 3. 3. My sister has income 130K per year, Can I leave question 4-7.a blank?
March 16, 2021 at 3:06 am
1. None is fine.
2, 3 and 4: I don’t know the form by memory – but really there are instructions available online. Read that please.

So my question is, is it compulsory to provide accommodation (i am fully ok for provide) to the DV winner until he is get settle and should i mention in when filling i-134 or during his interview with CO?
March 11, 2021 at 4:40 am

Jack here. Thanks for all the advise you’ve given.
In preparation for the interview, my sponsor is filling out the I-134.
I watched your video about how to fill it out, but wanted to double check regarding the “A-number” (Alien Registration Number).
I have previously held an F-1 Visa and got an Employment Authorization Card that has a USCIS # number written on it. After some googling, it turns out this is an A-number.
I suppose I shall put this down under the A-field, as it turns out I have one, but just wanted to double check?
Not sure if this number changes between cases or if It’s always mine and permanent. I know my U.S. social security number for example is permanent, but unsure if A-number is.
Many thanks again for all the help you’ve given, it’s been invaluable.
August 14, 2021 at 3:30 am
Yes – that is your A number, but no need for your sponsor to list it.
September 20, 2021 at 2:22 pm
Is the number showed in “poverty guidelines” the sponsors gross yearly income or net ?
Thanks in advance!

Sorry I’m a little confused – there are 7 people in the household of person (my friend) I’m going to ask for I-134 form + my family (2 adults, 2 kids) = so 11 overall.
6 of 7 people have income in “to be” sponsor’s family – when adding our family members number to theirs (7+4), sponsots income is lower than the number written in guidelines, obviously.
But is it counted the same way if members of sponsor’s family have income?
Thanks again and sorry for confusion if any, but that’s really important.
September 22, 2021 at 1:14 pm
The sponsors household is people that are “dependent” on the sponsor. If that dependent earns their own money, they may not actually be a dependent, but if they are their money cannot be combined with the exception of the spouse.
