I created a DV case tracker to try and improve and centralize the collection of data so that everyone can get a better idea of 2NL progress by embassy and so on.
It’s pretty simple to use, it will ask for your email address so that you can come back and update your case as things progress. You provide your real case number but the app will hide it for you and store only the hidden number. The data anonymous data (without the email address) can be seen by all.
I just released this tracker this week and will develop it and improve it as time goes on.

Hi Simon, how to differentiate between different statuses: ds-260 submitted, ds-260 processed, ds-260 unlocked – not sure where I can see that information with dates. My ds-260 status shows “complete”, though it is unlocked – I can open it, edit it (though I didn’t touch anything). A bit confusing – my case is current since previous month, but the status says “at NVC”, so maybe there is some information needed or..?

None of this needs to be precise.
Most people would know roughly when they submitted the DS260.
Some people would have emailed KCC to ask if their DS260 was processed. If you did, then the date is the first time you asked that and they answered it was processed. If you didn’t ask, you won’t have a date for that.
The unlocked flag is a yes or no. Some people unlock, some don’t.
About the DS260 – if it says completed, then it is locked.

I really do appreciate your effort in letting us see some visibility through this tracker, thank you! I understand that you are improving it as time goes on, but let me mention my case. I entered all the necessary data for my DV case, but every time I log back in, it is not part of the list. I do it again, but still, it does not show up even a day later.

That’s interesting – I checked your email address though and can’t find you – so I suppose it is under a different account.
Do you access it via a magic link from an email?

The email I used was [email protected]. And yes, I did receive the magic link.

It’s in the list, although you had entered the case number incorrectly. Your number is 2026AF31XXX but the number was stored as 2026AF202631XXX. I think that means you entered the whole number including region and year perhaps in the field that just asked for your case number. The system converts your real number to store it as a range, and when you come back in there is code to convert your case number back into a number – but at the exact mid point of the range (31500). The code does all this to keep some privacy of the number, although it is probably overkill. I might tweak that for DV2027.
In the meantime I updated your number to 2026AF31XXX

Got it, thank you!

Hello Brit,
Greetings from me. Just to find out. After receiving 2NL,do I need to confirm my appointment or the appointment information on 2NL is ok? Bear with me if my question is stupid.

Most embassies give instructions to register your appointment by creating an account on an online system. Read their instructions.

Got it. Thanks. Your response helped.

Hi BritSimon,
I’m trying to add my data to the DV tracker – where do I find the “DS-260 Processed Date”?
Sorry if that is a stupid question – I know the date I submitted by DS-260, I then had to unlock it as I got married (& needed to update details).
I can’t see anywhere where it says “processed date” ?

Its just a guess based on the first time you checked your status. If you don’t know it, ignore it.
March 22, 2026 at 00:07
Thank you!
My status still just says at KCC or something like that so I have no idea…
March 22, 2026 at 01:42
Hey, u can mail to KCC 🙂 i checked my DS260 on what stage is. The answer come back after one day and my DS is waiting for interview.
March 22, 2026 at 02:12
I would also love to know if the status changes or if there is something to look for as I also cannot see anywhere it saying it is processed?
Thank you for this tool! Such a great idea!

The only way to know whether your DS260 has been processed is by emailing KCC. Some people have done that, some haven’t – so if you didn’t ask, no problem you can ignore that question.

Just check your DS260 confirmation page – it has a date somewhere on top. That’s how I figured out mine
March 22, 2026 at 18:00
Sorry this was for checking the DS260 submission date. For confirmation on processing you could check your email for whenever you contacted them
