Hi, Simon! I don’t have any question. But I want to thank you for your great job and support with DV lottery! I`m from Russia, and I’ve been following your YouTube and blog for many years. A lot of useful information! I wish you only future success!
Hello, BritSimon!
I have a question. My wife won in DV-2026. I’ve lived in the USA as an exchange student for about 10 months. I turned 16 in November, and left in May – so technically I’ve been to the US for a period of more than 6 months (7 months to be exact). Do I need to provide Criminal Background check for the interview?
Hello Simon, just want to ask about passport biographic & signature page. Are you recommed to scan it via scanner or just photo in via phone? By the way, my country’s passport biographic & signature page is not side by side like American passport, what I should do?
Sir, i have been applying for DV lottery for the past 10yrs now and still haven’t given up. i have several questions to ask;
1. When including my wife in my DV application, do our last family name have to match with hers in the application when filling her names or does she maintains her own family name??
Hi Brit, great video. My question is regarding the information on the payment page, it shows there is an asterisk (meaning required to fill) on the middle initial. what if we don’t have one?
This mockup is legitimate. It was submitted for OIRA review on August 5, 2025 (ICR review no. 202508-1405-004). You can view it here: https://www.reginfo.gov/public/do/PRAViewICR?ref_nbr=202508-1405-004
Where did Mohamed from Morocco obtain this new DV-2027 registration form? There is no information about such a form on any official U.S. government website
It looks like the payment section forces you to have a middle initial, but the main section and passport section gives you an option to choose “No Middle Name”, can we assume this would be fixed in the final version or should we just type N/A, as its just payment and nothing DV related I assume it doesn’t matter what we put there

The instructions make clear that police certs are not needed for the USA.
Read the instructions.

Let’s wait for the official instructions to see exactly what, if anything, will be required.

I think the final version of the form will allow for that.
