good morning I sent the ds 260 in May 2018 the documents requested to May 27, 2019 I asked if everything was ok and they answered this way: . “Records indicate you have submitted a complete and valid DS-260 application for each family member, and you have provided all required documentation to the Kentucky Consular Center.
Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing. Interviews for the DV 2019 program will begin in October 2018 and conclude on September 30, 2019. Please refer to the visa bulletin at http://www.travel.state.gov to locate the current numbers being processed. This bulletin is updated after the 15th day of each month. Once an interview date has been scheduled, you will receive notification via email to check http://www.dvlottery.state.gov.”
Even today I have not received an appointment to interview my number is eu278xx … I thought to receive an email for an interview scheduled for July August but I have not received anything … how can I request more information? …. I have to worry … usually on which days of the month do they send the letter? thank you very much for your help, I hope this dream does not end … thanks anyway for yours
June 30, 2019 at 16:17
It may be that there was not enough interview spaces at your embassy. Check your ESC page, but if there is no 2NL, then you will get a September interview.
June 30, 2019 at 10:49
Hi Brit!
Thanks for the explanation of the emails. It has certainly given us hope that we will be scheduled for September.
It seems KCC is working overtime to process 2019 cases, as we were asked for documents last Monday, sent them on Tuesday, and received the ‘Ready for Scheduling’ email you describe above on Thursday already.
Holding thumbs that we get our 2NL in the second half of July.
June 30, 2019 at 16:30
Good luck.
June 30, 2019 at 11:52
i have send all the documents 2 Months from now i wander why not been scheduled yet, is it because i didn’t put my case number as in my 1ML ?
June 30, 2019 at 19:01
Possibly – I don’t know. But you need to sort this out asap!
July 1, 2019 at 00:16
I re submitted it yesterday when should I check with them again?
Thank you ..
But Iโm really worried about that
July 1, 2019 at 18:36
Wait a couple of days.
June 30, 2019 at 15:39
Hi Simon. Son has done biometric in the past month for change of status through DV Lottery. Watched your video on processing, but it is different using I485 in the US. Should he be pushing for an appointment? We are getting to end of the process time. His number has been current since May.
Thanks. Karen

Hi Simon.
We need help for scraping. No one is following.
Thank you.

Thanks for the reminder! I had forgotten…
June 30, 2019 at 19:17
Yup – just published a post.
June 30, 2019 at 17:23
Hello Brit,
I lost my immunization record!
My appointment is for beginning of August.
I know that Iโve received the majority of the required vaccins since it is mandatory in my country ( to get into school, university etc), although i might need few boosters shots.
Do you know a similar case?
Can the doctor test my immunity to clear me? If not Is there enough time to receive all the required shots?
Do you recommand to make an apointement with a physician before the approved physician? (to go through the process with him ) or to go directly to the approved one?
Thank you for your help.
June 30, 2019 at 19:14
Make an appointment with the approved physician and they will take care of the vaccinations.
June 30, 2019 at 19:27
So Brit can relax it is not as dramatic as I thought?
Thank you for you reply.
July 1, 2019 at 07:01
Edited:
So Brit, I can relax about this matter – itโs not as dramatic as I thought?
Thank you for your reply.
July 1, 2019 at 13:08
Hi Maroc,
I have a few vaccinations missing too. The medical center will be able to give you the missing ones. It’s not a dramatic issue in my opinion. The only dramatic thing here will be the total cost of the additional vaccinations, so be ready to pay a considerable amount.
July 2, 2019 at 15:48
@Tarek, thank you for sharing the info!
Have you done the missing shots?
Are you from Morocco? Maybe we can connect on WhatsApp..
July 2, 2019 at 16:57
Hello Tarek and Morocco
can you inform me about your interview I am dvistes 2019AF45XXX and there I am very stressed having received confirmation of my documents since June 17 I cross my fingers for the 2NL in the second half of July….. here’s my WhatsApp 0656215711 thanks for informing me.
July 3, 2019 at 15:28
@Maroc, yes I was given the missing vaccinations at the medical clinic. I am not from Morocco. I’m from Lebanon and had my interview Today in London. I will be posting about the interview experience later with details.
July 3, 2019 at 16:49
@Tarek, thank you for you reply.
Hope your interview went well and that youโll be sharing with us some good news very soon!
July 4, 2019 at 08:27
@Maroc, yes my our interview was prbably one of the easiest ever. We were barely asked any questions and go
t approved immediately. I am just waiting for the status to change to “issued” before I post my full experience in one of Simon’s articles. Our case has been a slightly odd and special case all the way from entry leading to interview and would serve as a good lesson for future DV applicants.
June 30, 2019 at 17:49
Hi sir. Do I have to send passport of a child who is not going to the interview with the rest of the family to kcc? His passport not yet established.
June 30, 2019 at 19:11
If you want a Green Card for the child, yes.
June 30, 2019 at 21:51
Hi sir. Can my case not getting a ready for scheduling because that.
June 30, 2019 at 23:03
If they are expecting the documents (because you submitted a DS260 for the child), then yes.
June 30, 2019 at 17:52
Hi Simon, I got interviewed in Dec. 2018 with my family. I was approved at the interview but stayed on READY without any feedback from the consulate until June 17. They called and told me my AP has completed and they are sending our passports for us to redo medicals and resubmit. Same day our status changed to AP.
We completed and sent the medicals through DHL this week.
1. Why are we on AP now if it’s completed?
2. What are our chances?
3. Should we expect some good news soon?
June 30, 2019 at 19:11
Now you have to wait while they ask KCC to reallocate visas to your case. Patience.
July 1, 2019 at 17:13
Thanks Brit, we can have that patience and wait for a few weeks as we have already done 7 months. But am just curious, has there ever been a situation where a case on AP for this long (7 months) has been cleared and the applicants has been asked to re-do medicals only to be refused later?
I am asking because I would like to be able to at least prep up for the potential move with my family (4 of us) ahead of the issuance.
Thanks once again for your patience Brit.
July 1, 2019 at 23:42
Nothing is certain until the visa is in your hand.
July 1, 2019 at 13:12
Hi cyborg,
Could you please give more details as to why you had to wait for 6 months after you were approved in the interview? Was there anything specific that caused this delay?
July 1, 2019 at 17:09
Hello @ Tarek, I am afraid I have no idea. I was duly approved at the interview and was told to expect my visa in two weeks until now.
Thanks for your feedback Simon, I have done 7 months already so a few weeks shouldn’t break my back.
June 30, 2019 at 21:45
Please Simon.
I talked to the KCC and asked for an interview date after the confirmation of the documents was ok on June 7th.
And they told me that your cn is for September 299 **.
Should I be calm about this fact?
Thank you
June 30, 2019 at 23:04
Yes
July 4, 2019 at 19:15
Thank you very much
July 1, 2019 at 10:24
Hi, hope you are well. The contact email address that I’ve on my DS260 was comprised and now I can’t gain access. I have already received the ready for scheduling letter on the 12 June. Waiting for NL2 this month. I can check my NL2 using the primary lottery status website using the original entrance number, so questions: 1) After Ready for Schedule letter received, will there be any further requests from KCC via email? 2) How do I notify KCC regarding a new contact email address? Will that confusing things? Should I notify KCC and update the email address at this stage? Thank you very much for your help!
July 1, 2019 at 20:10
1. Just the 2NL
2. You can email KCC if you want.
July 1, 2019 at 12:48
Hi Brit, think you very much for your support,
I apologize for the question if I have already answered, but is it obligatory the form of the sponsor I-134 and is it important?
July 1, 2019 at 22:54
It varies by case.

Hello Brit
Iโm the guy who keep asking about wrong country of chargeability because Iโve made a mistake and instead of choosing Armenia I had chosen Spain.
So on the day of interview we were very nervous but surprisingly the co didnโt ask even a single question only to swear that all the docs are original and approved us.
It was amazing.
Thanks you very much Brit for your help..
July 2, 2019 at 20:46

July 2, 2019 at 00:24
Hi Brit,
I wish I came across this site sooner. My brother sent all the required documents along with the police report June 28.
Kcc received part of it June 28 and some July 1st.
When called today, I was told they got what they have asked. By reading all the email conversations here I am wondering if he still has a chance or he missed his. Please advice. Thank you
July 2, 2019 at 03:10
He can only wait and see….
July 2, 2019 at 06:12
This is not promising. Looks like their chances are way too law.
They have sent all the documents earlier and have confirmation, but for whatever reason kcc could not see and requested again.
Will keep you updated
July 3, 2019 at 00:50
every time we call them they give us different answers, One can see the applications were sent one says you need to wait till July 15th it is not processed yet I don’t see it on my end.
July 15th it is or we can still expect interviews after July 31st.
July 3, 2019 at 03:58

Pay close attention. YOU NEED TO ASK KCC IF THEY ARE SATISFIED WITH YOUR DOCUMENTS. DO THAT TOMORROW!!!

“Thank you for your inquiry.
Records indicate you have submitted a complete and valid DS-260 application for each family member, and you have provided all required documentation to the Kentucky Consular Center. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing. Interviews for the DV 2019 program will begin in October 2018 and conclude on September 30, 2019. July 3, 2019 at 00:20
Hi Brit,
When checking online status it says; please follow the instructions you received from NVC that list six steps you must make before scheduling. That means you need to submit payments , forms and documents.
Does this mean they have not received DS 260 ?
Thank you
July 3, 2019 at 04:00
Np. Ignore the NVC status comments.
July 3, 2019 at 03:06

July 4, 2019 at 15:13
Dry them, then check with the issuing authority for the passport AND the US embassy if they can be used. It might all need to be replaced.
July 5, 2019 at 00:26
greetinx brit, thanks for your advise, how will it be possible to check with us embassy when you do not schedule appointment with them?
July 5, 2019 at 01:28
I don’t know.
July 5, 2019 at 03:40
Hello everyone
please has anyone got it visa page partially damage and still able to travel with it to the united state? or has anyone got its visa page damage and how did he or she got it fixed before traveling to united state… please i need an urgent response
July 5, 2019 at 05:59

July 6, 2019 at 02:43
Hello Brit, if it need to be replaced 1. is there a fee for re-print of visa ? or 2. if there’s a fee how much? 3, is it going to be a new visa fee of 330$ per applican, please advise
July 6, 2019 at 04:00
No fee that I know of. Now get on with what I told you.
July 6, 2019 at 16:08
Hi Brit, sorry for disturbing but after contacting the us consular office via email , there is the response via email:
IF YOU WANT US TO REISSUE, IT HAS TO BE ALL VISAS ARE PRINTED WITH NEW FEES
CONSULAR SECTION
IMMIGRANT VISA UNIT
AMERICA EMBASSY
Please what do you advise on this?
July 6, 2019 at 17:34
Well you STILL have not checked with them as I told you to do. You haven’t shown them the damage have you. ONLY THEY can tell you whether the visas can be used or not. And you need to do the same on the passport. Then, once there, they may still want to charge you, or they may be more accommodating. No need to check with me. I have advised you as best as I can – and you don’t appear to have listened…
July 22, 2019 at 12:18
Hi Brit, after contact with the embassy regarding the damaged visa, an appointment was schedule and a fee of 330$ was paid on the day of the appointment , its 4 working days now and when checked on ceac its show from READY yesterday and today Administrative processing , 1. can the visa be issued before end of the fiscal year sept 30th ? 2. the damaged visa is of the kid can the parents travel without the kid before the parents visa got expired if the administrative processing is taken longer for the kid visa to be issued? please your kind advise will be highly appreciated
July 22, 2019 at 13:53
You are panicking after 4 days????
Patience.
July 4, 2019 at 07:08
hi Brit .i want to ask you one equation
my case number is AF00012xxx
1 . in a first inters my photo is black can it disqualify my case or not disqualify at the time of interview.
July 4, 2019 at 15:06
Black??? Literally no way to see you? Then yes that can cause disqualification.
July 4, 2019 at 08:03
Dear Brit,
DV2019Af46*20. i received this email on 19th June when i sent an inquiring mail.
Thank you for your inquiry.
Please refer to the visa bulletin at http://www.travel.state.gov to locate the current numbers being processed. This bulletin is updated after the 15th day of each month. Once an interview date has been scheduled, you will receive notification via email to check http://www.dvlottery.state.gov.
In order for the Kentucky Consular Center to assist with inquiries regarding a specific Diversity Visa (DV) case, you must provide the Principal Applicant’s full name, complete case number, and date of birth in the following format (MMDDYYYY) as entered on the original entry. Please remember that the Kentucky Consular Center does not have the authority to tell you whether or not your specific case will be disqualified. Only a consular officer can do that at the time of your visa interview. Do not send any paper documents to the Kentucky Consular Center.
For additional information, please refer to the following websites:
my questions are:
1, is this the ready to schedule email?
2, is there anything more to do on my side before receiving 2nl?
July 4, 2019 at 15:08
1. Why you need to ask this question is beyond me. YES!
2. No
July 4, 2019 at 11:28
I’ll save Simons time, because these kind of questions have been asked HUNDREDS of times here.
1. Yes
2. No, you just wait for the 2NL now.
July 4, 2019 at 15:19
@Winner, thanks.
July 4, 2019 at 12:06
Thank You Brit for updates, Our Visas got approved at US Consulate Glory to God, Ceac still shows ‘Ready’, What does it mean?
July 4, 2019 at 15:20
More patience required.

July 4, 2019 at 17:56

July 6, 2019 at 19:02
we were missing 2 of our family members passports and birth certificates.
We have sent this documents numerous times. I am mot sure why they are not getting it.
I call every day to verify if they are satisfied with what I sent. Every time I get different answers.
Brit,
Our number is 2019EU28xxx
Do you think we still have chance? If they received all our documents?
July 6, 2019 at 21:48
If you only sent SOME of the documents that was like not sending the documents at all.
If you have now sent the documents you might be OK. Since this is the first year with the new procedure there is no way for me to be sure.
July 6, 2019 at 19:25
i didnโt know **
July 6, 2019 at 21:51
I’m quite certain I have told you to ask KCC. You need to ask them EXACTLY. This is very straightforward.
July 10, 2019 at 15:48
I have received this today …
Records indicate you have submitted a complete and valid DS-260 application for each family member, and you have provided all required documentation to the Kentucky Consular Center.
That means Iโll be reschedule for September interviews right ?
July 10, 2019 at 21:38
Maybe.

Kabyle
Hi brit
I allready received email that they have complete documents since 06/25/20019 but my statut stays AT NVC ?
July 6, 2019 at 03:53
Normal. 2NLs for September interviews will be sent in the second half of July, and your status will change if you are one of those cases.
July 6, 2019 at 08:48
do you think there is a possibility that I will not be included in the interviews of septempbre even if I already received the email which says that my documents are complete and my ds is valid
July 6, 2019 at 11:32
Unlikely, but possible.
July 6, 2019 at 12:21
Yes .there is no logique un thier work
July 12, 2019 at 10:50
can you tell me, where can I find this status “NVC” or something for my case?
July 12, 2019 at 14:47
You can’t. CEAC for DV2020 will not be available until January.
July 6, 2019 at 07:40
Hey Brit, why are you sounding like some people may not received 2nls regardless of their ds-260 and documents being approved?
Your response shows some uncertainty, I hope all is well.
July 6, 2019 at 11:29
I have been saying for some MONTHS now that there is a new type of chaos introduced in the new procedure – hence the uncertainty.
July 9, 2019 at 02:40
Hello Simon, I am sure you’ve read this before a hundred times but I wanted to ask you about my case…
My Case is 2019sa5xx and the bulletin says they’re already checking cases above 1150… I sent an email to KCC and they told me to re-summit my documents (I sent them on February but I didn’t got a response so I contacted them)
How does this affect me?
Should I be worried or just wait until July 15? (Or both)
I already got the email saying my documents and ds-260 form are checked and ok.
Thank you for your help, you’re awesome.
July 9, 2019 at 22:56
So now just wait. 2NLs will be sent before the end of July.
July 11, 2019 at 05:45
helo brit, it is too late to submit ds260 for case number 2019AF149XX for 2NL for September? because i am now filling the ds260 form.
July 12, 2019 at 10:21
Dear Brit Simon,
Wish you Good Health.
I am a DV2019 Winner from Asia. Few days before I received Documents Acceptance Email and waiting for my 2NL.
According to several US government websites, poverty line for a family with 3 members range from US$ 22k to US$ 39k.
Below are the web URLs with those info
1. https://aspe.hhs.gov/poverty-guidelines
2. https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2019/02/01/2019-00621/annual-update-of-the-hhs-poverty-guidelines
3. https://health.ny.gov/prevention/nutrition/wic/income_guidelines.htm
* Question 1 *
I do not have a US sponsor and as I asked this question from you last year, you said if myself can prove income and cash, then I do not need a US sponsor’s letter.
Based on that, I have placed Fixed Deposits with a leading Bank in the country from August 2018 to April 2019 totaling to US$ 54,000/- in local currency. This means, I already have Bank Deposits worth of 150% more than the poverty line (if consider the highest poverty limit)
Also, in my operative bank account, I can show inward deposits approx US$ 2,500/- per month from January 2018 to current date (past 20 months), which is my monthly income.
Will this bank operation & fixed deposits be sufficient to cover the Sponsor’s requirement?
* Question 2 *
I plan to submit original fixed deposit receipts & a letter conforming the deposits issued by the bank along with a certified bank statement from my operative account.
Will only these documents be sufficient to get through my interview and prove my financial ability?
Thank you in advance.

1. The poverty line calculation is about INCOME, not savings. Your savings might be enough. An I-134 would be better.
2. See 1.
July 12, 2019 at 15:31
Thank you very much for the reply
Regarding my case, What I am going to do is, I am going to show that I have sufficient money to spend during the 1st 12-18 months with my savings. So my existing monthly income will be an added advantage.
Do you think, continuing to interview without I-134, will be a problem under this circumstance?
Tks
July 12, 2019 at 15:34
There is no black and white on this. It MIGHT be OK. An I-134 WILL be OK. See the difference?
July 13, 2019 at 18:52
Thank You
July 13, 2019 at 19:13
Sir

July 13, 2019 at 19:44
There are no more DVs for DV2019, but interviews will continue until September 30th.
July 13, 2019 at 19:49
Ok thanks for reply
July 15, 2019 at 07:48
Hey Brit,
my case number is 2019AFooo39*** I received email to send documents on 2nd july i sent documents by 6th july, received the automatic reply. sent an inquiry on 10th they responded that ‘after sending docs you will receive an automatic reply, if there are no attachements you will be told……give time for processing……’
1. im i still on the safe side?
2. should i send another email to inquire if the documents were okay?
3. I applied as single but im currently engaged to get married. will it raise an issue if i get married after the visa interview before i travel? i dont have to change my name.
Thankyou
July 16, 2019 at 00:26
1. No. Not unless you have confirmed they are satisfied – autoreply does not count.
2. YES!
3. No problem but you will spend a long time to bring your spouse to the USA. You should have married sooner.
July 17, 2019 at 12:46
Hey , i sent an email again to confirm satisfaction with my documents. I also called and they said it was still being processed. I guess i have to wait now.
