Hello
Posted by june but there are no numbers what do you think about that
May 16, 2020 at 14:10
Obviously someone made a mistake in publishing the numbers too early – so now we will wait a few more days.
May 13, 2020 at 11:05
Hi Brit, thank you for your valued advice. I inquired from the KCC whether my documents that I submitted in November last year were complete and they sent me this message;-
Thank you for your inquiry.
After sending documents to [email protected], you will receive an automatic reply to your email. If there are no attachments, the auto reply explains there are no documents attached to the email. If there are attachments, the auto reply explains we received your email and are currently processing your documents. Please allow time for processing of your documents. Documents are processed in numerical order, based on lottery rank number. Once KCC has processed your documents, we will let you know if anything is missing or if we have received everything needed.
Your DS-260 has been processed. You should have received, or will soon receive, an email from the Kentucky Consular Center giving you instructions to complete in order for your case to continue processing. Please follow the instructions in the email. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing. Interviews for the DV 2020 program will begin in October 2019 and conclude on September 30, 2020. Please refer to the visa bulletin at https://www.travel.state.gov to locate the current numbers being processed. This bulletin is updated after the 15th day of each month. Once an interview date has been scheduled, you will receive notification via email to check https://www.dvlottery.state.gov.
Due to the novel COVID-19 outbreak all interviews for the DV program have been suspended, it is undetermined when scheduling will resume.
Please monitor http://www.travel.state.gov for any updates and contact your DV embassy/consulate if you have additional questions.
In order for the Kentucky Consular Center to assist with inquiries regarding a specific Diversity Visa (DV) case, you must provide the Principal Applicant’s full name, complete case number, and date of birth in the following format (MMDDYYYY) as entered on the original entry. Please remember that the Kentucky Consular Center does not have the authority to tell you whether or not your specific case will be disqualified. Only a consular officer can do that at the time of your visa interview. Do not send any paper documents to the Kentucky Consular Center.
So my question is does this mean KCC is satisfied with documents or I have to resend them?
I will appreciate your kind response.
Thank you.
May 13, 2020 at 13:27
They are not yet satisfied with your documents. Call them.

May 13, 2020 at 03:55

Yes
May 7, 2020 at 17:39
Hello Brit,
First of all i want to thank you for the great job you did with a lot of information and advice for DV2020.
But i guess, i think that we should be realistic, that this opportunity is at an END.
I really see no hope that the embassy with continue the interviews for the rest orienf the cases.
Therefore the live goes on and we need to step forward and not to lose our time and our mind for something that will never happen.
Regards my friends
May 7, 2020 at 21:38
I personally feel it is too soon to assume that position – but each person has to find their way of “handling” the unfortunate situation. Some people (such as yourself) prefer to be pessimistic, I assume to avoid the emotional “danger” of maintaining hope. That’s OK – each to his or her own. Others will feel different.
In reality, no one, not you, not me, *no one* knows what will happen for sure.
May 7, 2020 at 17:24
Hi Britt. I can not see the video. When the 2Nl will be published? Do you have any information? Thank you for your time
May 7, 2020 at 21:34
2NLs will hopefully go out in the 2nd half of this month.
May 5, 2020 at 04:56
Hello sir , I am from Afghanistan and I am married and I have 2 daughters but my husband isn’t here with me and we divorced out of court so we don’t have marriage certificate and divorce certificat and now my husband is out of country but we have wedding photos and films. Would they accept my problem or not?
Please sir clarify this. I am so worried.
May 5, 2020 at 22:13
I cannot clarify anything without a clear question. Are you a winner, DV2020? Or is this about an entry. Please be clear.

Hi,
At US- Visa Website it shows today that the cases that had an interview in March April and May and got cancelled can register they appointment here in Albania. But as they say, the earliest date is in the end of July.
1)Do you think that the interviews will start at the end of July? Is it normal?
I don’t understand.
2) How many DV lottery cases can an Embassy interview in one day in maximum Capacity in your opinion?
In Albania there are around 3600 winners.
May 2, 2020 at 00:43
1. That depends on the embassy – so it is “normal” for them.
2. Not enough capacity for the remaining cases, most likely.
May 1, 2020 at 23:21
Hi Brit,
My CN is 53K,
Since VB is current, and hopefully that KCC menages to process documents and confirms that are ok.
And in my country has about 250-260 DV 2020 winners, doe’s this means i have more chance to have a interview appointment.
Thank You.
May 2, 2020 at 00:44
Not necessarily. Be patient.

May 1, 2020 at 22:26
Hi Brit, I wish you are well
Here in Albania, some of people who had interviewed in March-April for the lottery have started registering a date interview for July and August and another part cannot register a date is this normal? Can we register a date interview for ourselves without receiving an email from the embassy with date of the interview?

Hello Brit
Today we have seen on a page on Facebook that some people has rescheduale the interview on 30 July which is rare because we havent got any email by the embassy. What do you think is possbile that they could have reschuale before us that have sent document and havent the right to rescheduale our interview? Does the embassy email us with the interview date or who is faster get the faster date a
available.
Thank you

Dear Brit,
I had my interview on 17 of March, but as u know ,it was cancelled by the embassy in Albania.
Ppl are talking to register their date of interview, which is getting me confused because I think I cannot re-register my date without an announcement of the embassy.
They are saying that there are free dates on July August etc.Tell me what should I do plz cos I’m really confused.
Thanx
May 1, 2020 at 22:27
Another question plz.My status at AIS.us.visa is still apointment.A friend from Italy showed me that her status is schedule appointment. She contacted the embassy and they told her to reschedule the appointment and as soon as the embassies will start work, there will be shown spots available.
Really confusing

May 1, 2020 at 15:01
They are not scheduling interviews right now because the embassies are closed AND the ban.
May 1, 2020 at 08:54
Hello Brit
I have a real question which makes turning my mind, it is about the sponsor.
So , my friend is an American and retired, he is wealthy financially.
So which forms to fill because we saw that the I-134 form required to be an active worker.
So Brit, which forms my friend could fill to sponsor me.

May 1, 2020 at 00:04
Hello, Simon.
My case number is 42XXX and I sent my documents in the beginning of February and they’ve sent me an automatic reply with a text like “we’ve received your documents, you should wait for the answer, although you can contact KCC using this email”
So I contacted them a week ago to find out which status does my documents review has. They said that I should wait a bit until they finish the review.
Is this the right reaction? Because earlier I’ve seen an article in your blog which told that you can write a message to KCC in order to know if your submitted documents are correct.
Or I’ve lost the moment and now I should just wait for the end of the review process?
Thank you in advance.
May 1, 2020 at 01:00
You need to ask, and you also need to be patient.
April 30, 2020 at 06:38
Hi BritSimon! I have a stupid question, and I apologize if makes you repeat yourself. I tried to look for an answer through blogposts but I’m still not convinced I know the answer. So the case is the following: we have a pretty high case number, but in this current situation it doesn’t matter anymore. We have submitted the DS260 a long time ago, and sent in our documents a couple of months ago just in case we still had a chance. However, upon seeing that EU went current, of course we checked again, and I just saw that our police certificates actually had an expiration date in the bottom small letter section… (I know, very stupid mistake.) So basically the police certificate has expired by now. My question is, if we manage to get a fresh one quickly and resend the documents, will we still have a chance to get a 2NL letter or did we just blow it with this stupid mistake? Thank you for your answer!
April 30, 2020 at 20:37
Not a problem. PCs are valid for 1 year – and it you want you can get a new one prior to the interview.
May 1, 2020 at 12:17
Thank you for your answer! I am only worried because in my country they give this out with a 90 day expiration date, which is only stated of course in the bottom section in very small letters, and I only realized this a couple of days ago. We are in the process of requesting new ones. If we get them and have them officially translated, should we resend the documents ASAP?
Thank you again for all the work that you are doing and making time to answer questions!
May 1, 2020 at 14:53
You can resend if you like.
May 2, 2020 at 08:07
Thank you for your answers!

Reply of KCC…..
Thank you for your inquiry.
Your case number is now current for interview processing. Once the interview date has been scheduled, you will receive notification via email to check https://www.dvlottery.state.gov . If you need to make changes to your DS-260 you should contact the consular section where you will be interviewed, or bring the information about your changes to your interview appointment. Because your case is ready to be scheduled, KCC can no longer unlock your application.

I am a DV 2020 winner and my case number is AF 40 ××× it got current in Late February and i was excpeted to get interview mid or late april at the most.
I have just lost my work like many other people despite the fact that during the first month i was working from home. I still have other revenue ressources since i work as a digiatl account manager (freelancer) for a big loacl nursery garde and i make money decent amount of money through internet.
My question is, if ever i were scheduled for an interview, would the fact that i’ve temporarily lost my job affect my candidature ?
Last thing, i am married and my wife works.
April 30, 2020 at 18:59
No problem.

Hi Simon
I just finished my interview. After a few questions they said no any issues related to my answer and asked me to folow up with embassy after 60 days and handed me back my passport (due to presidential executive order). I think they will put my case on AP as u mentioned. Therefore do u think i still hope even they handed passport to me and wait for 60 days?
Thank for ur feedback.
April 29, 2020 at 08:09
Congrats! and you got your passport back was your visa in it? also which embassy is this?
April 29, 2020 at 08:15
Hello.Would you be kind plz to tell us which embassy?Thank you in advance!
April 29, 2020 at 10:03
They should have kept your passport then put you on AP then issue you a visa after the ban ends. Did they inform you to come again to issue a visa on your passport?
April 29, 2020 at 11:16
They had just informed me to check with embassy after 60 days. They didn’t even say I am dianied or approved. That is wondering me.
April 29, 2020 at 11:28
Sophia, but can you let us know, what Embassy were you interviewed at?
Thank you.
April 29, 2020 at 11:42
Hello, Sophia
Can You plz tell us wich embassy?
Thank you
April 29, 2020 at 13:10
Info is fake!!!
You are lying!!!
April 29, 2020 at 14:19
@Europa, don’t be so rude! You don’t know anything – so why say such stupid things?
April 29, 2020 at 14:15
It is not unusual that they returned the passport.
April 29, 2020 at 16:25
Mr. Brit I have respect for you! Why is it fake? Because it doesn’t show the state and the embassy!
April 29, 2020 at 12:41
What the hell are you doing like that? publish a fact that actually did the interview because people are anxious. From which country is Sophia who conducted the interview today ???
April 29, 2020 at 14:17
@Ladi. Would you relax and not be so rude!
April 29, 2020 at 14:12
Yes, if the ban is removed (or blocked by lawsuit) your visa could be issued. You just have to wait and see. Was that Cambodia, by the way?
April 29, 2020 at 14:38
Thanks Simon for understanding me. I hope so. Stay safe Simon
April 29, 2020 at 14:57
Sophia but why don’t you tell us what your embassy is? It would be really kind of you to share this information.
April 29, 2020 at 15:45
It is probably Cambodia. They have held a few interviews in recent days.
April 29, 2020 at 16:00
If this is the case does this mean countries are able to decided by themselves whether to open or not? Thanks
April 29, 2020 at 18:46
Yes. That has been clear for some time.
April 29, 2020 at 18:55
Thanks!
April 29, 2020 at 07:26
So, people, please, am I the only one who thinks we should just wait a few days and let KCC do their thing? I get the feeling that if we are constantly calling/emailing/asking we are just taking their valuable time which can be probably used….ummm…let me think….processing our documents?!?!??
Please, respect times and uncertainty, we all don´t know.
Thanks.
April 29, 2020 at 13:33
I agree to that . It will be a good idea to give them sometime to finish their job without us interrupting them with mostly unnecessary calls/emails .

April 29, 2020 at 07:32
A 100.000 people to sign this is a lot, knowing the total amount of selectees is just over 80.000 with a let’s say 65% response rate and just saying this probably will end up in Mr. Trumps immigration trash bin..
Let’s hope the law however is in our favor and this ban be blocked before the embassy’s reopen, I believe there’s quite a few lawsuits coming up regarding to this.

Mr Brit

April 29, 2020 at 00:04
Hello Brit,
I hope you are doing great.
Could you please help me with the following questions?
1) Regarding the health insurance requirement, can my sponsor state in the i-134 that he will cover the expenses to get health insurance for me and my wife within 30 days of our arrival? Would that work?
2) Regarding my sponsor, he is single and has an annual income of +$60.000, would that be enough to sponsor me and my wife?
3) I saw the following information in the State Department’s website regarding the health insurance requirement: “A nationwide temporary restraining order has been issued by the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon halting implementation of P.P. 9945 Suspension of Entry to Immigrants Who Will Financially Burden the United States Healthcare System. Please monitor this page for updates”. Is this requirement still in effect?
Many thanks for your help!
