There are many people who are not yet ready for scheduling. I am most concerned about the DV2020 cases, because if we get an “extension” (and I think there is a great chance we will), then it won’t help you if your documents are STILL not processed. This is also an important subject for DV2021 cases too as MOST of you have not yet sent documents.
So – please, take a few minutes to watch this video very carefully. It could make all the difference.
You can see the full instructions about documents here.

Hi brit.
I’m 2020, was put ln AP on march.
I was always shown as refused in blue (there is a refused in red), that meant this year AP.
When I the embassy gave me back my passeport on august, my blue refused turned to red.
Emailed the embassy on the 8th September for mission critical treatment, was called on the 9th. Got my documents ready one week after.
My medical appointment was difficult to get, and the physician wasn’t happy for some reason, he confused with someone that was so arrogant, but finally had my medical on September the 25th.
Dropped it by ARAMEX mailing dropbox on the 26th. The embassy had it by the 28th, the prove was the update of my status on the 28th itself. In the afternoon it was still refused in blue this time, but now it was said to be on administrative processing. Which wasn’t the case this year.
What do you think?
September 28, 2020 at 19:02
You need to wait.
September 28, 2020 at 15:28
What time is court today?
September 28, 2020 at 19:01
Just about to start.
September 28, 2020 at 10:50
Good morning
I am doing my interview on September 22nd and the consultant told me congratulations and that I will get my visa back after a week but since yesterday on the ceac site they have put me in administrative processing. What do you think I can do???
September 28, 2020 at 18:49
Wait.
September 28, 2020 at 04:22
HI Brit,
Do I need to translate my certificate of my education? All of my certificates are not in English but KCC did not ask for these certificates, I don’t know if they need it in English when I am interview.
September 28, 2020 at 18:38
The video answers that.
September 27, 2020 at 22:49
Hello BritSimon,
We have previously submitted our documents and had been scheduled an interview which was subsequently postponed due to Covid-19.
Our original police certificate is due to expire in 2 months and have have therefore obtained new police certificates. Should we send this updated police certificate to KCC or is it sufficient to bring the updated certificate to our interview?
Thanks!
September 28, 2020 at 18:35
No. Take old and new to the interview.
September 27, 2020 at 20:25
Hi Brit thank u so much for you help all this while.please I just checked my ceac and I see dat I am on nvc wat does dat mean please I am in group 5 presently in Canada
September 27, 2020 at 15:07
Britt, sorry my English. I appreciate your work and constant level of information. My case is 2020SA24xx I’m not demanded l, I’m Cuban and belong to the group 4! I follow it you, to Charles and Curtis in my Twitter! For ignorance mine when completes my DS-260 did it as single! Not knew not that could marry me and latter fill up it. My question is; I can’t marry now,the next week, to apply in DV 2022, still whit a possible interview for the DV 2020? This would affect my DV 2020 interview? God Bless you!
September 27, 2020 at 15:23
I’m very confused by what you are saying. Please be more clear.
September 28, 2020 at 07:37
I think he meant that he applied as single for dv2020 and he didn’t know that he could get married and later edit his ds260 and add his wife. He can also apply for dv2022 as single and later add his wife after he gets married, that’s no problem. So based on the gibberish English, I don’t see why it would affect his dv2020 interview because he applied as single. First and foremost he should get married to an English practice book…
September 28, 2020 at 18:43
Hmmm, no, there is something more to that story.
September 27, 2020 at 12:54
Hey BritSimon
Any chance you have done already or could do an update on the Adjustment of Status process for those currently in the USA. We received notification from KCC to complete I-485 form and any tips or tricks for completing this process would be really helpful.

What if a person send documents now where as his documents had been processed but just waiting to be scheduled. What could be the possible consequences?
Will they ignore the sent documents? Will they counsel the ds260 and start all over again or will it just slow down things the more ?
September 27, 2020 at 14:30
Why would you do that?
September 27, 2020 at 05:04
Hey, Simon. your videos are very informative, thanks for the effort put on getting the info.that said; I’m a DV2021 winner AF47###
Question: Do I have to to fill in the DS260 ASP or later is fine before april of next year?
thanks
September 27, 2020 at 03:32
Case number:EU54XXX
Dear Brit,
Thank you very much for your support and assistance.
Could you advise me does the below email which I received on April 2020 means that all my documents are processed since I have been requested to send the docs and I sent all required documents as per the instruction.
Should I sent the documents again or just wait and see?
Thank you in advance.
Thank you for your inquiry.
Your DS-260 has been processed. You should have received, or will soon receive, an email from the Kentucky Consular Center giving you instructions to complete in order for your case to continue processing. Please follow the instructions in the email. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing. Interviews for the DV 2020 program will begin in October 2019 and conclude on September 30, 2020. Please refer to the visa bulletin at https://www.travel.state.gov to locate the current numbers being processed. This bulletin is updated after the 15th day of each month. Once an interview date has been scheduled, you will receive notification via email to check https://www.dvlottery.state.gov.
After sending documents to [email protected], you will receive an automatic reply to your email. If there are no attachments, the auto reply explains there are no documents attached to the email. If there are attachments, the auto reply explains we received your email and are currently processing your documents. Please allow time for processing of your documents. Documents are processed in numerical order, based on lottery rank number. Once KCC has processed your documents, we will let you know if anything is missing or if we have received everything needed.
In order for the Kentucky Consular Center to assist with inquiries regarding a specific Diversity Visa (DV) case, you must provide the Principal Applicant’s full name, complete case number, and date of birth in the following format (MMDDYYYY) as entered on the original entry. Please remember that the Kentucky Consular Center does not have the authority to tell you whether or not your specific case will be disqualified. Only a consular officer can do that at the time of your visa interview. Do not send any paper documents to the Kentucky Consular Center.

September 27, 2020 at 05:09
Wait and see if we get an extension. Without that, KCC won’t respond well.
September 27, 2020 at 02:36
Dear Simon,
I’ve watched the video carefully. In my case, I sent the DS260 (here, I indicated that I’ve visited USA two times as a tourist), then I sent all my documents and I’ve got the email ready to be scheduled for an interview (if everything is OK, I could have an interview on August or September, according to my number – SA2600).
However, I plan to travel on March as a tourist, maybe to the US one more time (on my vacation). Can I travel before to my interview? It’s necessary to ask KCC modify my DS260 in order to add one more travel on my record? What do you suggest?
Thank you very much for all your support.
September 27, 2020 at 05:09
No problem with travel, no need to modify the DS260 for that.
September 27, 2020 at 01:53
New Zealand doesn’t issue a police certificate to the individual. It is sent directly to the embassy.
As per the Reciprocity Schedule
“When you complete the form, please indicate that the criminal record is being requested for the United States of America and reference the three-letter ten-digit case number (e.g. ACK followed by 10 numbers for Auckland) or A#. The postal address is U.S. Consulate General, Immigrant Visa Section, Private Bag 92022, Auckland, New Zealand.”
What evidence should I provide to KCC to satisfy the police certificate requirement when sending documents?
September 27, 2020 at 05:06
Proof you applied. A receipt perhaps?
September 27, 2020 at 06:21
Hi I’m from NZ,I didn’t provide any proof but I did sent an email to Auckland Embassy that my vetting will be sent to Embassy .
September 27, 2020 at 14:41
OK – that might be enough, I don’t know precisely.
September 28, 2020 at 02:49
2020NZWINNER, what did you provide to KCC as proof of the police certificate? I know we just fill in the form and send it off, but what did you give to KCC?
September 28, 2020 at 11:04
I sent KCC a PDF of the email from NZ police Vetting confirming that my request had been processed and results sent to the US Consulate General in Auckland.
September 28, 2020 at 22:49
Hey Kim, appreciate your response. I should have done the same.
All the best
September 26, 2020 at 23:39
I have watched+liked the video. I have sent the documents and submitted the DS-260 on the same day. Do I have to email them or call them to know whether they got my documents or not.
Subject is my Case #
ALL PDF
Files are attached, not uploaded on onedrive or else. Just double checked now.
File attachments are below 8mb. All in High Quality.
Note: I have already emailed them (3 times) after submitting my documents but they never told me: hey we don’t have any of your documents anyway. Even if I didn’t ask directly about my documents if they were received or not, I stated that I sent them, so I believe if they haven’t, its also their fault not telling me after all.
Thank you
September 27, 2020 at 05:02
It’s not their responsibility to chase. When did you send these?
September 26, 2020 at 22:43
Hi Simon,
I watched your video to make sure I did everything right and I did – I‘m pissed that I STILL haven’t received the documents processed mail. I‘m wondering whether it had been a mistake to add all of the countries I‘ve traveled to (private) within the last 5 years on my DS-260. I wanted to be as honest as possible and I didn’t know that they only want you to add the countries you‘ve traveled to for work. I‘m not sure if this may cause this huge delay because other than that I have a very easy case.
1. In your humble opinion: what next steps should I take to make sure to somehow get my documents processed? It was a little concerning to read that you think that even an extended deadline couldn’t help group 5 winners.
Thanks
September 27, 2020 at 04:57
We will have to see how many visas we get and how they allocate them.
September 28, 2020 at 12:45
Do we only need to name the countries where we traveled for work? I thought we need to name all countries traveled, even as tourists?
September 28, 2020 at 18:52
Answer exactly the questions asked, don’t read anything that it does not say.
September 29, 2020 at 12:13
Thanks, Brit ?
September 26, 2020 at 22:41
Greetings Simon. I sent my documents in March 2020 and received the Congratulations I am ready for scheduling interview when my number becomes current email in a few days. I’m from Sri Lanka My case is DV2020 AS13xxx and my number became current in April. How do you reckon my chances are provided we get an extension?
Appreciate all your help and time. Thanks in advance.
September 27, 2020 at 04:56
I don’t know. We have to see how many visas we get.
September 26, 2020 at 22:41
Hi Simon,
I have never server in the military, but in my country everyone get a military record anyway. Mine says that I never served in the military. I indicated in DS260 that I did not serve in the military but am planning on attaching my military record to the list of documents anyway. Do you think I should attach it?
Thank you for your work!
September 27, 2020 at 04:56
Use your own judgement.
September 26, 2020 at 22:04
Hi brit,I think the reason why we didnt get confirmation email ,is because they stopped sending them for example I am 2020EU47k and in europe they stoped at 33k except the ones that were part of plaintiffs ,so my questions are: 1.If we get extension will KCC get order to continue with proccesing of cases where they left it. 2.I am 47k eu,I sent documents first time in 14 october 2020 ,so for my police certificate that has validity one year If by that date I dont get confirmation email should I send KCC the renewed PC ,3. I am plaintiff at 3.0 Kenedy case ,what do you think do we have a chance for prioritization in case of extension like previous plaintiffs.thanks
September 27, 2020 at 04:55
We will have to see what terms of the extension we get. Right now, nothing is clear.
September 26, 2020 at 21:35
Good day dear Brit Simon,
I carefully listened to things you said about documents in last video. I have sent all correct 3 times, also called to KCC and the person told that they received documents but they have to pass processing, and that that is mostly possible only numerically.
What can i do more?
Case number is EU40***
Thank you again for so much support.
September 27, 2020 at 04:54
If we get an extension, I will discuss what to do.
September 26, 2020 at 21:28
Hi,if we win the extension, will kcc released another Visa bullen tin for dv 2020 knowing in AF69cases some have received documents confirmation email and some less than that cases have not yet.
September 27, 2020 at 04:53
I don’t know.
September 27, 2020 at 12:59
I sent my documents in May after thousands of calls it was always I CAN’T SEE DOCUMENTS. I contacted the Chilean embassy and they were the ones who alerted me that KCC did not have my documents, I called and they actually said the same thing..I sent again and after 2 days, and spoke with 4 different people they told me what my documents they had been received. is there a chance? in Chile they called several people last week but without my documents processed, the embassy could not help me ….what can i do know?
September 27, 2020 at 15:01
Hope for the extension. If we get it, I will try and work with KCC to figure out how we can fix the documents problems.
September 26, 2020 at 20:04
I am 2020AS27xxx, group 5. I kept emailing KCC to get my docs. confirmation email, and they kept replying me that they will follow prioritized procedures (e.g, named plaintiff, etc.). They did not reply me directly that we have seen or have not seen your docs., but, my status is that they haven’t been processed yet.
(1) Should I just wait and see that they may send me a ready for scheduling email after the extension or call them sometime soon (?) since I have read many people who call them many times won’t help anything unless getting a reply “I can’t see your docs.”
September 27, 2020 at 04:49
Let’s see if we get an extension. If we do I will talk to KCC.
September 26, 2020 at 19:20
Hi Simons
I sent my documents and I have got the email ready to be scheduled for an interview but the status of my case number AF 37k shows NVC yet other with 38k shows ready , what does that mean?
September 27, 2020 at 04:47
It means they were ready before you.
September 26, 2020 at 19:10
hi brit i just watched your last video, i am a 2020 dv winner, when i contacted the kcc they told me they can’t see my documents, so i want to resend them but i have some documents that the validity has expired (Police Certificate)dates from October 2019 so its validity is 3 montes) do I have to have new documents or I can return these even the validity has expired, thank you very much
September 27, 2020 at 04:46
Get new police certs.
September 26, 2020 at 18:55
Good morning Sir ,
We are really appreciate what you have been doing all the time for us
God bless you for ever
September 26, 2020 at 17:24
First of all, I can’t thank you enough for all the support you provide to DV winners. And regardless of winning the Visa at the end or no, it was really pleasure knowing such a helpful smart person like u ?.
I am from Egypt, my case number is AF18xxx. I went through the whole process of the DV while paying good attention to every step a lnd doing lots of documents preparations. And I was scheduled for interview in March which got cancelled.
After judge order, the embassy in Egypt refusing to reschedule my case because I am not a named plaintiff. And I can see on CEAC data, that cases of numbers 40xxx, 50xxx got scheduled in Cairo and issued Visa because they are plaintiff.. do u think this fair? What else shall I do? Do u think extension will give any kind of relief to my case.?.I really feel frustrated.
September 27, 2020 at 04:43
Yes – wait for the extension and we can see what happens.
September 26, 2020 at 17:17
Dear Brit,
I am DV2020AS29xxx from Cambodia.
I send e-mail to KCC on 19-Jun-20 to asked about their satisfied on my DS-260 and documents submitted then I got reply e-mail from KCC on 23-Jun-20 as below:
Should I send e-mail to KCC again to ask about my documents submitted?
Regards,
Chetra …
September 27, 2020 at 04:42
Wait to see about the extension.
September 26, 2020 at 17:10

September 27, 2020 at 04:40
There was no hearing. ON Monday there will be a hearing.
September 26, 2020 at 16:58
I sent my documents in May after thousands of calls it was always I CAN’T SEE DOCUMENTS.
September 26, 2020 at 16:44
Hey Brit
in page of reciprocity for my country there’s a document named “mandatory military service book” whether you served or you were supposed to serve (some guys get their military service delayed (for studying or working) so they never serve military. So i have never served the military but still according to reciprocity page the military service book is mentioned
So we should stick to whatever the page of reciprocity says !correct?
September 27, 2020 at 04:39
So if you got permission to delay your military service, show proof of that permission.
September 26, 2020 at 16:18
Thanks Brit, let me watch it carefully now.
