So it looks like the Visa office just went nuts, and whilst they didn’t quite make all regions current this is a HUGE increase in every region.
I’m extremely surpised – this is not at all what I expected – but I was smart enough to know that it would not be what I expected (which is why I don’t predict based on the math right now). There is no logic to the numbers, its not explainable from a math point of view – so the only thing I can imagine is that they are seriously trying to get as many cases through as possible in the embassies that can handle cases. It’s as radical as the December 9th announcement – it’s not a “scientifically calculated” number it’s just a hail mary for any of you that understand the American Football analogy.
So this is why I don’t predict – the math has been thrown out the window – will that last, will it continue , I don’t know. We’ll have to wait and see!
CONGRATULATIONS to all those that just went current.
Those that are current, and have forms processed early enough, can normally expect their 2NL in the next 2 to 3 weeks from now. The new no documents procedure is still a little unknown, so we will have to wait and see exactly how that goes. This is supposed to be the same every month. VB from the 8th to the 15th of each month, and 2NLs in the second half of the month. For the last few months there have been 2NLs in daily batches. I would normally expect all the interview 2NLs to have all been sent by the end of this month, but we can see recently they are exceeding that to try and get as many interviews in as possible. They can be sent right up until the last day of the month, and even the first few days of the following month during exceptional times.
To those new to looking at VBs, let me explain what the “except” XXX country means – and you can also read this post on how to read the visa bulletin.
Processing is spread out over the full year. You can see the progress of the two previous years in this post about basic questions. However, some countries have a high number of selectees and those selectees are concentrated in the lower case numbers. For various reasons, mainly to do with embassy capacity, KCC slow down certain countries as compared to the region. So – in Africa, any case with a case number shown as under the new number can be interviewed but for cases from Egypt, that number is lower. That isn’t a big problem, it just “slows down” those countries a little more than the rest of the region. Since selectees from those countries all have lower case numbers, this slowing down does not present any risk. It does not (at this point) mean they won’t allow all selectees an interview from those countries.
To understand why some countries get lower case numbers, read this article about the lottery draw process.

Hello Simon. I had a question, please help me. I am from Afghanistan and I currently live in Tehran. I am the winner of the 2022 lottery and my case number is about 9700. My wife and I sent the DS form on the first of June. But today my first child was born and with these conditions in Afghanistan, I can not get a passport for him so soon. The embassy is the interview site in Islamabad. Do you think that now that my child is born, I should unlock the form and fill in my child’s details without a passport number and tell them my problem when I go to the US embassy or not? Will not my interview time be delayed if I open the DS form? Will there be a problem if I do not open the DS form and present my child’s identity documents such as birth certificate and travel document to the embassy on the day of the interview? Thanks
February 17, 2022 at 13:21
Yes you should unlock and add the baby, using the passport number of one of the parents. BUT you will need a passport for the child at interview.

Hello brit simon
I am from nepal currently living in japan.
My spouse is main applicant for dv 2022 and i am beneficaries.
We had interview on feb 7 2022 at us embssay tokyo.
Our case number is above 6000.
Current our ceac status is refused(applicant)
Ready(beneficaries). In the interview consuar said ok and sent the passport within a week.
After we inquiry to the embssay we got mail that our born country is nepal and the visa bulletin is 4200 so your case is on refused mode.
When the case will be current the further process will be done.
We had medical on january 17
If the case will be current after the medical date is expire then what would happen to our case .
Thank you
Waiting for ur rply and suggestion
February 21, 2022 at 14:42
You were interviewed too early. Your medical will be the basis of the expiry date for the visa, so your visa will expire on July 17. Therefore, unless you are OK with a very short validity period during which you must enter the USA, you should repeat the medical later. It’s up to you, based on whether you can handle the very short validity (based on whenever the Nepal exceeds your case number)
February 16, 2022 at 18:08
Finally my case number is current in Africa 35k , can I get interview in Egypt because it’s the highest number in Egypt?
February 17, 2022 at 13:25
Cairo are not taking many cases at all.
February 16, 2022 at 18:21
Jesus Brit!
“Routine processing of both immigrant and nonimmigrant visas is currently suspended. Currently, the U.S. Embassy in Ethiopia is only processing emergency visa cases on a
very limited basis.”
This is the message we get on the website. I had asked before and you said not to worry as I won’t be current for a while. I am AF29K two friends AF20K and AF8XX have not received 2NL yet. A close family member just got issued an IR parent visa from 2 years ago, just this week. So they are working but not processing DV as of yet. What do you recommend? 50K AF region, at this rate they will probably exhaust the visas before we even get an interview at Ethiopian ADD embassy.
February 17, 2022 at 13:27
If you can move to a different embassy, do that.
February 17, 2022 at 00:48
Good day Brit Simon
How long is the certificate of character/police certificate valid for the DV
February 17, 2022 at 13:42
2 years
February 17, 2022 at 01:13
Hi Brit Simon,
I guess that the only that it didn’t move a lot was SA.
February 17, 2022 at 06:08
Hello Brit,
why almost no changes in Iran VB numbers? What is the possible reason? Does it mean Iranian people with high case number has less chance than the other Asian?
February 17, 2022 at 13:48
They obviously felt they had enough cases for now.
February 17, 2022 at 09:44
it can include dv 2020?
how about dv 2020
February 17, 2022 at 13:50
DV2020 must still wait for news until at least April.
February 17, 2022 at 10:51
Hello Brit. Now that the visa bulletin has been issued, what is the advantage? person who is a high number but who has received DQ early or someone who has received email of this format :
(Your case number is now current for interview processing. Once the interview date has been scheduled, you will receive notification via email to check https: //dvprogram.state.gov. If you need to make changes to your DS-260 you should contact the consular section where you will be interviewed, or bring the information about your changes to your interview appointment.Because your case is ready to be scheduled, KCC can no longer unlock your application.)?
February 17, 2022 at 13:52
This email comes when your case is “actively” being scheduled. It’s a special point in time. If your embassy is working, and has capacity for your case, you can expect a 2NL within the next couple of weeks. However, if your embassy is NOT working you can be in a kind of limbo. At this point you cannot make any changes, because KCC has allocated the case to your embassy, but not sent it to the embassy yet. If the embassy does not have full capacity, and there are more cases in front of you than they can interview in the month, then your interview will be pushed to a later month.
February 17, 2022 at 18:17
Thank you so much brits
February 17, 2022 at 23:50
2022AF21xxx, I submitted DS-260 late May 2021 and sent the documents without being asked in August 2021. I emailed KCC the following “My case is current, and I wanted to know if my DS-260 has been processed and I am ready for scheduling?” the new day they replied “Records indicate you have submitted a complete and valid DS-260 application for each family member, and you have provided all required documentation to the Kentucky Consular Center. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing. Please refer to the visa bulletin” Does that mean I am DQ or no? I also found it interesting that they mentioned the bloody documents.
February 18, 2022 at 02:49
DQ
February 18, 2022 at 14:52
Hello Brit, I’m …22AF12K and I submitted my DS-260 in December. I am yet to get a response from KCC. Please can I go ahead to submit other documents to KCC or wait till I get a response from them. What are my chances of getting an interview?
Lastly, I am new to the ‘2NLs and VB’ abbreviations in your article, kindly tell me what those two abbreviations stand for..Cheers.
February 18, 2022 at 15:49
The requirement to send documents was removed in December. You need to do some catching up on your reading.
VB – Visa Bulletin
1NL – The letter you saw on the ESC page that said you were selected.
2NL – For Consular processing, this is the interview appointment notification. The FAQ describes what that looks like. For AOS cases the 2NL is the letter from KCC they send once you submit the DS260 informing them you intend to adjust status.
CP – Consular processing – meaning interviewing in a consulate/embassy outside of the USA
AOS – Adjustment of Status – processing inside the USA at a USCIS Field Office.
FO – Field Office
AP – Administrative Processing. This is technically a temporary refusal – 221(g). In fact it means your case cannot be decided immediately, either because additional checks are being made after the interview or you have to provide some missing documents you were asked for during or after the interview.
CURRENT – when a region is marked as current on the VB it means there are enough visas for their estimation of remaining demand. Enough visas for everyone in that region.
DS260 – the online form you complete to apply for immigration.
I-134 – an affidavit of support completed by someone in the USA willing to support you financially.
February 18, 2022 at 06:04
Hello Brit
Do KCC still required a DV 2022 applicant to send other supporting documents via email.
February 18, 2022 at 09:51
Good morning Mr Simon
What about your expectations for the last bulletin for Egypt??
February 18, 2022 at 14:42
No predictions.
February 18, 2022 at 14:40
No
February 18, 2022 at 07:20
Hello Simon. Can my case be expedited if I write to Kentucky about the status of the DV-260 application. Thank you
February 18, 2022 at 14:41
Writing to them doesn’t speed up the case.
February 18, 2022 at 09:45
hi brit
im dv 2020 selectes under gomez lawsuit. my husband and i sent the Ds 260 form but now we got a doughter. can i add on the ds ??
i need your advice pls
February 18, 2022 at 14:42
You will deal with that later if they process your case.
February 18, 2022 at 13:54
Dear mr. Simon,
Our case number is EU15XXX (DV2022 winner). Are we still in the line for getting an email with interview date (Bosnia, ambassy is in Sarajevo)?
Is our case numder valid, ok, or whatever you calling it?
Thank You very much for answer!
February 18, 2022 at 14:45
I don’t know.
There is nothing magical about a number that makes it valid or invalid.
February 19, 2022 at 02:42
You may find this interesting, Freetown embassy in Sierra Leone (FTN) has scheduled 2022AF56427 who is not even current. https://imgur.com/a/Mjuoq0D
February 19, 2022 at 04:51
Yes I know. It happened in January.
February 19, 2022 at 04:57
You have direct channel with the lawyers, please let them know so they can help. It’s astonishing how Democrats claim they are pro immigrants yet US immigration system gets worse at a faster rate under them compared to Republicans.
February 19, 2022 at 23:13
They know, I told them and gave them a report when it happened.
The Democrats don’t have enough majority to make meaningful change.
February 19, 2022 at 06:50
Hi Simon,
Based on the Visa update for Dv 2022 on Dec 9, 2021, it said Once the 260 is received for all applicants associated with a case, the case will be eligible to be scheduled for a visa interview, from this what I understand there is no Ds 260 procced scenario, once it’s received by kcc the case is ready to be interview if the embassy is open and working. Please I need your opinion on it.
February 19, 2022 at 23:14
That has been said by the government and is clearly not correct. It is OBVIOUS there is still processing.
February 20, 2022 at 18:44
Hello Brit : Case No 2022AF00034XXX-DS-260 27 May, No document request No documents sent. I wrote to KCC to inquire about my case and this is the reply I got:
Your case number is now current for interview processing. Once the interview date has been scheduled, you will receive notification via email to check https://dvprogram.state.gov. If you need to make changes to your DS-260 you should contact the consular section where you will be interviewed, or bring the information about your changes to your interview appointment. Because your case is ready to be scheduled, KCC can no longer unlock your application.
…….Bla bla bla
Please what does this imply ?
February 21, 2022 at 14:36
The document procedure was removed in December.
This email comes when your case is “actively” being scheduled. It’s a special point in time. If your embassy is working, and has capacity for your case, you can expect a 2NL within the next couple of weeks. However, if your embassy is NOT working you can be in a kind of limbo. February 21, 2022 at 14:43
So every case that is current will get this response if they inquire about their case ?
PS : Embassy is Accra
February 21, 2022 at 15:08
Not immediately. Over time, yes I expect people to get lined up into that status, and then unfortunately in some embassies, scheduled cases will be more than the capacity. That will cause delays.
February 28, 2022 at 01:49
Hello Brit,
I just realized I need to modify information about my wife’s occupation on the DS-260. She’s the primary applicant. But since KCC says they cannot unlock since we’re ready for scheduling…How do I do ?
February 28, 2022 at 02:14
You don’t.
February 28, 2022 at 21:02
My dear Simon,
I have a clueless situation:
It was in November 9th 2021 the last day of the DV2023 entry. Because I collected my passport almost 5 minutes to the deadline and I accessed the the official site to apply. I filled in the form and clicked “CONTINUE” and I was taken to an other page to confirm my details and I found out that I have one validation error which is the photo that failed to upload. and I uploaded it quickly and clicked the final “SUBMIT” button hoping to have a success confirmation page but all I could see was the page that is currently on the official site which reflect on the screen immediately they updated the site due to time (5:00 GMT).
My question here is: was my entry recorded when I have already clicked the final”SUBMIT” button and I didn’t have no session timeout nor a website crashed but only a website updation?
Thank you in advance great patriot
March 5, 2022 at 20:40
If you saw a confirmation number then the entry was accepted.
March 7, 2022 at 21:05
Hello Brit, At this stage where KCC cannot unlock my DS260 ? Can I change my interview location ? And how do I do it ?
THANK YOU
March 20, 2022 at 19:14
No.
February 20, 2022 at 19:14
Hello sir
Please I have two questions:
1) is it true that the passport rule is over in the DV entry process?
2) is it true that they wanna end the DV Program?
Thanks in advance
February 21, 2022 at 14:37
1. Yes
2. EVERY YEAR some stupid Republican makes the same suggestion. It’s not going to happen any time soon.
February 21, 2022 at 09:33
Hello Brit,
My case is AF53k which I expect it to be current in May .
I am Leaving for Canada (Montreal) on a workpermit visa .
My questions are below:
1) Can I change my interview place to Montreal once I get there
2) My son wil be in Kenya.Howdo I get him to do interview in Kenya while mine will be in Canada?.
Please advise.
February 21, 2022 at 14:46
1. Yes
2. He should interview with you – so if he can’t travel with you or visit for the interview, your move will cause complication.
February 22, 2022 at 08:07
Hi Brit, I have completed the DS 260 since August 2022, m’y case number is 2022AF29xxx. I haven’t submitted any documents to kcc and they haven’t requested for my documents. Please what can I do thanks.
February 24, 2022 at 17:01
The documents are no longer part of the process – you present them at the interview. So – now you wait.
February 22, 2022 at 15:24
Hi, Simon. My case number is 2022EU45**. Due to a set of unfortunate circumstances, I’ve just recently submitted the DS-260 application for my parents, 17th of February to be exact. Just wonder if you could chime in and tell me whether I should ask the KCC to unlock my DS-260 application so I could correct some errors I made while filling out the form on my parents. To whit: 1) I did not provide a link to my mother’s social media profile because at the time I didn’t know that you could add a social media platform that is not included in the pop-up list. My mother is 53 by the way and this is the only platform that she has ever used. 2) While listing previous home addresses in my father’s form, I forgot to add a military base where he lived for a total of 3,5 months while serving in Azerbaijan 40 years ago. Was this even necessary? The address of the base has long been lost. 3)Finally, I chose the wrong country of birth of one of the derivative’s parents. Should I just wait it out and make all the necessary amendments upon arriving to the embassy? I just don’t want to risk delaying the processing of my case. Thanks in advance
February 24, 2022 at 17:07
No need to unlock to correct any of that – it’s all trivial.
February 23, 2022 at 11:29
Hello, Simon. My case number is 2022EU44**. I sent my DS-260 mid February for the reasons that definitely do not justify such a belated submission. I have a Russian and Georgian citizenship and thus, I suppose I may be able to choose from the Tbilisi and Warsaw embassies. I just wondered if you could help me choose between the two and maybe approximate the likelihood of my interview getting scheduled before the deadline of September 30th with the help of all the expertise and statistical data that you’ve got. Do I have any chances at all? Thanks in advance.
February 24, 2022 at 19:07
I can’t help you choose. But you might find some difficulties arise from your Russian citizenship. Warsaw are understandably cancelling interviews for Russian applicants.
February 23, 2022 at 21:12
Hello Brit,
My case is AF56k what time should I get the interview.
Thank you
February 24, 2022 at 19:20
30 minutes early.
February 25, 2022 at 14:31
I mean what month should i get my 2NL
February 27, 2022 at 17:58
I know what you meant. But your question cannot be answered.
February 25, 2022 at 15:20
Hello Brit, I requested a transfer to Djibouti embassy from Ethiopia KCC said my location has changed and when they schedule my interview I will have to unlock and update my Ds260, I have a friend in Djibouti and I was planning to go to his house once I’m scheduled for interview, my question is, 1- do I unlock ds260 and update it with the address of my friend in Djibouti now or after I’m scheduled?
2- can I actually update it using my friends address or do I have to go to Djibouti and update it from there, before I’m even scheduled?
my case number is AS20k
February 27, 2022 at 18:10
1. You can’t update it after your are scheduled.
2. If you are actually going there, update it.
February 28, 2022 at 10:05
Thanks. So you’re saying I can update it using my friends address before I get there right?
And yes, I’m planning to go there once my interview is scheduled,
February 26, 2022 at 03:40
Hi Simon, My case number came current recently (2022EU24XXX), I submitted DS260 on May 11th, and sent the documents in August. I got confirmation from KCC in October that my case is ready to be scheduled when the case number comes current. I received an email from KCC on 2/24 (yesterday) informing the upcoming interview in Helsinki at the end of April 2022. I am originally from Finland, but currently staying in the US on a student visa. I decided to do the consular process and go to Finland for the interview instead of AoS.
1. Am I going to receive the 2NL in the mail, or was it just the email?
2. How much earlier I should schedule the medical exam before the interview?
3. What was the website where I can check the status of my case?
4. Do I need to have an English translation of my high school diploma? (I have translation of my vocational college degree, and bachelor’s degree, but not the high school diploma).
February 27, 2022 at 18:13
1. Just the email.
2. Ask the physician.
3. https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx
4. Not if it is in the local language of the embassy.
March 8, 2022 at 21:36
Hello Mira, did you ask te KCC about your status after you sent the DS260?. My cas number is 2022EU21XXX, I sent my DS260 in september, but no answer yet..Thank you!
February 27, 2022 at 19:24
Hello Brit…My case no is 2022AF5k…submitted ds 260 in August 2021…I checked on status and saw it is staged at NVC…Please help me understand this status
February 27, 2022 at 21:39
It means you have not been scheduled. It is the same status as almost every case.
February 28, 2022 at 14:15
Hey Brit , My case number is 2022AF29xxx, I have some few questions
1. Apart from the DS260, do I need to submit an I-130 form for petition and affidavit of support ?
2. Looking at the ceac data and my embassy is GUZ, i am a little confused . Does it mean KCC hasn’t processed my form or what.
3. Do they process the forms based on submission or case numbers? Thank you
March 5, 2022 at 20:30
1. No
2. I don’t understand. It sounds like they have scheduled the interview.
3. They start DS260s in submission order, BUT that does not mean all cases take the same time to process.
February 28, 2022 at 15:00
Hi Brit, just keeping you posted. A very interesting email from KCC. Wrote to KCC to schedule my interview in Prague and this is what they sent me. What do you make of the mail, please?

It’s just a normal template email with the addition of the embassy contact details.
March 1, 2022 at 07:04
Hello Brit Simon. Thank you very much for your help and support as usual. I wanted to ask you a question about being interviewed before my case became current.
My case number is 6400 from Nepal and my interview location was in Tokyo Japan. After my interview was over, the visa consular officer told us that we should expect our passport stamped with visa within a week and they kept my passport. However, later I came to know that since my case is not current they would mail my passport when it becomes current. For me the major problem is about the expiration of Medical examination. I heard that visa is valid six months from the medical examination. So since our case number doesn’t seems to be updated at least within may or june, should we need to take medical examination one more time. Do we get the benefit of retaking our medical examination or should we go to the US within short notice?
Apart from that, I understand that since you don’t work at the embassy you might not be sure buy do you think they’ll send our passport as soon as our case becomes current. For example, the visa bulletin for may comes in march. So if our visa bulletin becomes current in may will we get our passport in march since our interview is already done.
I’m extremely sorry for such a long message. But thank you very much for your help and support. Keep up the good work Simon!
March 5, 2022 at 20:43
You know all you need to know. You can decide when to travel. I don’t know how the embassy will handle your case.
March 1, 2022 at 21:56
Hello Mr,
i filled my ds260 on may 22
I received the email of documents in November and I send them the same day
now i contacted kcc and i received this email . is my ds260 studied or not yet
Thank you for your inquiry.
In order for the Kentucky Consular Center to assist with inquiries regarding a specific Diversity Visa (DV) case, you must provide the Principal Applicant’s full name, complete case number, and date of birth in the following format (MMDDYYYY) as entered on the original entry. Please remember that the Kentucky Consular Center does not have the authority to tell you whether or not your specific case will be disqualified. Only a consular officer can do that at the time of your visa interview. Do not send any paper documents to the Kentucky Consular Center.

Hi Simon,
I received the letter for the interview from KCC! The thing is that I have relocated recently and I did not have the time to change my address. I am in Europe and relocated recently in another country in Europe again. Do I need to change the embassy? I do not want to do that, as I will lose time I think. I prefer go to the embassy that I have already declared after all, I am at the new country for a couple of months because of a job change.
Thank you in advance for your time.
Regards,
Anastasia

If you want to stay at the existing embassy you don’t need to do anything.

Thank you a lot Simon for your time.

Anastasia

Hi brit, case number AF29xxx I received my 2NL today. Regarding my sponsor, my older brother in the US who is an asylum seeker, currently has a well paid job in the IT industry. However i was wondering if its risky to use him as my sponsor. given the fact that, he originally entered the US as a student and later on filled for asylum. Could this pose a problem to my case or i should rather get another sponsor?
thank you

I am also AF29K but haven’t gotten anything yet, lucky you, guess your embassy is processing DV.
March 3, 2022 at 20:42
i was pretty shocked when i got the email, i wasn’t expecting this early. You should use your DV entry credentials and check. perhaps ur interview is scheduled already. Or u may recieve 2NL in a few days ahead
March 5, 2022 at 23:16
You can only get an I-134 from a citizen or LPR.
March 7, 2022 at 00:34
Wow you are so lucky, please what month did you submit your DS260. I’m also AF29xxx but I submitted in August.
March 7, 2022 at 01:03

Hey Simon
Would it be an issue for me if my host lets another winner put down their name on their DS260 as their host, just as a host and not sponsoring. l am asking because the same host will be sponsoring me and not the other person.
March 5, 2022 at 23:26
It may cause an issue, but probably not.

March 5, 2022 at 20:53
Hi Brit,
After your suggestion I contacted KCC about My case status EU24xxx
They told me ‘ Your forma have been received and are currently processing. Allow several weeks for processing’
We submitted back in June 21.
Is it normal that it takes this long or is Ankara not taking enough cases?
Thank you
March 6, 2022 at 20:37
They have backlogs so although it is not “normal” there are lots of similar cases.

Hi Brit,
My CN is AS7xxx, current since FEB VB.
I received following response from KCC for my inquiry on February MID ( 02 times same response)
“Your case number is now current for interview processing…(..)……Because your case is ready to be scheduled, KCC can no longer unlock your application ”
However, so far (~ 3 weeks) I have not received 2NL or scheduled for interview. But there are some cases which receives 2NL for the same embassy which I belongs to having higher number and probably DQ later than me.
March 20, 2022 at 19:22
They are probably scheduling cases that were DQ before you.

Hi Simon, Am DV2022 winner. Kindly explain this issue for me. When I was applying for the DV my 3 kinds passport wasn’t ready so I didn’t add their names. But when I was filling the DS260 I added their names with passport too. CN 47K , statue – NYC. Will adding of my kids be a problem since I didn’t add the when filling the DV.
March 14, 2022 at 07:03
Status- NVC
March 16, 2022 at 11:46
Hope if thats not possible I can unlock and do changes since my case is still at NVC.
March 20, 2022 at 20:31
Do you mean you had a wife and children but you did not include them on the entry?? In that case you will certainly be disqualified at the interview, and there is no way to fix that.
March 21, 2022 at 20:02
My wife was added but it’s only my kids I didn’t add cos their details wasn’t ready. But when filling the DS260 I added all my kids.
April 2, 2022 at 17:11
You will be disqualified.

Hi Brit
l have an interview in April and l am the principal applicant ,l forgot to put one country (country being Namibia) my husband travelled to in 2017 that is because he travelled there before we got married and the stamp is an old expired passport so l didn’t see it. Do l tell the CO before the interview starts about the country he travelled to.
March 15, 2022 at 08:43
The passport expired in 2019 , and he no longer has the passport it was handed in when he renewed the passport ,that is why l didn’t know about this trip.
March 20, 2022 at 20:32
No need to raise it unless asked.

Hi Brit, I’m a dv lottery winner 2021AF457xx. I submitted my ds260 14th Jan 2021. I still haven’t heard from NVC regarding my case. Do you know anything that could be delaying my case
April 6, 2022 at 23:41
Well DV2021 ended in September…
April 7, 2022 at 06:43
Does that mean that my case will not be processed. They never sent me the 2NL letter
April 16, 2022 at 15:50
Yes. Unless you had enrolled in a lawsuit your chance is gone.
April 6, 2022 at 13:55
Hi Brit,
I studied High School in the US and I have an official transcript and the diploma in hand and used it as the basis to qualify for DV. I also have a college degree from my country. Do I need to certify or authenticate my High School documents when I get an interview in my home country?
Thank you.
April 6, 2022 at 23:43
Read the reciprocity page and local instructions.
April 6, 2022 at 19:30
Dear Simon I am in a rather unfortunate state and want to have some clarity. My documents country police certificate and birth certificate were sent since March 21 and I still cannot receive them and my interview is 14 April. Can I take the scan copies of them and my national identity card for my interview and explain my situation because I have no hope they’ll be here on time. Or do I need to change my interview appointment? Thank you for your response
April 6, 2022 at 23:44
Attend the interview as planned and follow up with the needed documents.
April 7, 2022 at 01:17
Thank you so much Britsimon if it weren’t for you most of us will genuinely not be able to go through this process without messing up because all the other people I listened to in the beginning didn’t know anything about the dv they just say whatever that comes to their minds and misleading many

Hi Simon,
I got my visa in my passport, that means I completed the interview at the embassy and I am very happy! I have a couple of questions;
1) Can I apply now for jobs in the American job market with this visa after the interview? Or should I wait in order to receive the green card after entering the USA?
2) I am considering to come in USA next month to apply for my visa and then come back to Europe in order to close my duties here meaning empty my house here etc. Will be eligible to travel until I got the green card, as I read it takes 30 days to be sent in my American address.
Thank you for your valuable information.
Warm regards,
Anastasia

1. You can apply now, but unless you are working in some extremely unusual skill area, employers will not want to waste their time with someone not even in the country.
2. You can travel immediately.
