The “March” visa bulletin has been released, which is the one for April interviews. This is the beginning of the second half of the year, and I am hoping to see good scheduling progress after this VB. The numbers themselves are pretty much in line with my year end assumptions, although AS region is a surprise (only moving for Iran and Nepal). AF and EU are as expected and quite good movement in SA and OC.

Those that are current, and have forms processed early enough, can normally expect their 2NL in the next 2 to 3 weeks from now. This is supposed to be the same every month. VB from the 8th to the 15th of each month, and 2NLs in the second half of the month. For the last few months there have been 2NLs in daily batches, but we seem to be moving to a more normal procedure where almost all the 2NLs are sent before the end of the month, with just a handful being sent earlier this month. I would normally expect all the interview 2NLs to have all been sent by the end of this month, but we can see recently they are exceeding that to try and get as many interviews in as possible. They can be sent right up until the last day of the month, and even the first few days of the following month during exceptional times.
To those new to looking at VBs, let me explain what the “except” XXX country means – and you can also read this post on how to read the visa bulletin.

Hey Simon, I have spent more than 5 years in Pakistan but I have left now and can’t get a police clearance, in the US travel state website it states this –
“Police Certificates
Unavailable
Comments: Pakistan lacks a national mechanism for tracking criminal activities. Police Character Certificates are available for a fee from Police Facilitation Centers. Each province has a criminal record management system, but these are not centrally integrated. Criminal histories are linked to offenders’ CNIC numbers and character certificates are issued by the office located in their parent district. Police certificates are not required for consular processing. ”

So I won’t need it right? No fear of 221g?
February 24, 2025 at 08:36
They don’t expect documents that are “unavailable”.

Hi Simon,
I hope you’re doing well. I have a question regarding adding my spouse to my DV visa application.
I am currently in the EU region based on the Visa Bulletin my case is current for April interview, and I submitted my DS-260 in late May, so it should be processed. I wanted to check whether it is too late to add my spouse at this stage.
Additionally, we are considering getting married now. We’ve been together for three years and can easily provide proof of our relationship. Would adding my spouse after marriage pose any risks to my application, or is it still a viable option?
I appreciate any guidance you can provide. Thanks in advance!
February 17, 2025 at 13:38
It would be silly not to add your spouse but you must be legally married to do so. So act fast!
February 17, 2025 at 16:43
Do I contact the consulate directly or check with KCC given that my number is current in Visa bulletin
Thanks!
February 17, 2025 at 17:37
If you are already married contact Kcc to ask to unlock. If they can’t unlock you then have to discuss with the embassy.

Hello,
Me and my family came to USA in a B2 visas and after 6 months waiting, I have filed for asylum and have been in pending for 9 years. We had the asylum interview on USCIS on summer 2024 and the Immigration officer was not able to decide, and he has referred us to the Immigration Judge for Oct 2028.
On May 2024 my wife won the DV2025 lottery EU32xxx, and we did file DS260 on Dec 2024 online showing that we are going to AOS here. We have sent the KCC payment $330 each and got confirmation of payment on Feb 01, 2025.
Do you know any lawyer that had cases like mine with a successful result. If yes, I would like to connect. I have contacted many of them, but they only speak in general, and I don’t want someone that does not have experience following similar case as mine.
Thanks,
Roland

One large problem is your case number. It is likely that you won’t become current before the end of the year. So although you could consult a lawyer, i would not advise you spending more.money at this point. In fact your 330 fees should not have been paid yet.
If you want to find out more without additional costs, consult SM1smom.

Hey Simon, do you think we will reach AS 12K by the end of the year? Thanks
February 16, 2025 at 20:59
As I explained in my prediction video for Asia, yes.
February 16, 2025 at 10:07
Hi Brit,
I watched almost all of your videos related to DV2025. How risky is EU286** in your opinion? I know it’s in the dangerous zone, but I would appreciate your insight in order to know whether there’s hope or not. Many thanks for everything you’ve done so far!
February 16, 2025 at 20:48
Well as you know, there is some risk, but only time will tell whether you make it or not.
February 15, 2025 at 05:49
Good morning Mr. Simon, thanks for the good job you’ve been doing over the years.
Could you pls confirm if 2nls can go out for a succeeding month without being captured by the CEAC data put out by Xarthisius?
For example, the CEAC data for Accra interviews as at February 15 was same as the previous month, however i have heard some say they’ve received 2nls for April interviews. Could it be that Xathisius missed the data to Accra in the April VB?
February 15, 2025 at 09:23
If the embassy has not updated the cases to ready, then they will be in “IN transit” status, and for in transit, we don’t know where the cases are assigned. There are hundreds of in transit cases right now, so the Accra cases are in those.

Thank God my has gotten a date in accra ghana april , accra is now working
February 14, 2025 at 12:10
Hello Brit!
I emailed KCC to know the status of my case, and below is what they sent to me as a reply. What does the reply means regarding my case.
Thank you for your inquiry.
Your case number is now current for interview processing. If you are scheduled for an interview date, you will receive notification via email to check https://dvprogram.state.gov. If you need to make changes to your DS-260 you should contact the consular section where you will be interviewed, or bring the information about your changes to your interview appointment. Because your case is ready to be scheduled, KCC can no longer unlock your application.

Your DS260 is processed, your case number is current. You now just wait to be scheduled.
February 15, 2025 at 01:06
Good morning Goerge,
curious, could you please confirm your case number for the April interview in Accra.
Thanks
February 14, 2025 at 01:22
Thank you for your continued timely updates. Waiting in earnest for Nairobi 2NLs this time hopefully. AF 18k.. God bless..
February 12, 2025 at 10:38
Hi Brit,
If you can explain current VB movement in AS region through video it will be really helpful. Really hopless right now. As per your past experience AS12### is safe for 2025. (Not iran or Nepal)
February 12, 2025 at 11:50
I already have made a prediction for AS, I have no reason to change it.
Two thirds of AS region cases are Nepal and Iran. Those two countries were moved substantially in the VB, so I guess they had enough newly processed cases for the rest of Asia to fill capacity.
February 12, 2025 at 02:58
Hello, thanks for the info and updates about March VB, hoping and praying to get a 2nl this month…AF141XX,NRB embassy
February 14, 2025 at 01:35
We are in the same boat here on NRB AF 18 but we keep the faith for 2 NLs this Month. lol!!!! The wait since November has been stressful…
February 15, 2025 at 03:25
Was it the same situation last year? AF 18k I thought the latest would be April but it seems as though NRB hasn’t been holding any interview since November and the streak continues😅
February 15, 2025 at 09:21
The month is not over yet.
February 15, 2025 at 14:43
Last month it was same story, we wait for end of the month and it lapsed without any 2 NLs from Nairobi. These backlogs in embassies that have capacity but literally decides to screw people’s chances is the reason Africa never fills its quota year after year. Real bullshit..
February 12, 2025 at 01:39
What the hill is going on with AS region?
February 12, 2025 at 11:47
Two thirds of AS region cases are Nepal and Iran. Those two countries were moved substantially in the VB, so I guess they had enough newly processed cases for the rest of Asia to fill capacity.
February 11, 2025 at 21:25
My case number was current in the last bulletin for March in Africa, but my embassy has not scheduled me for interview I don’t know why. Can you help me understand sir?
February 11, 2025 at 22:44
Your ds260 might not be processed, or your embassy backlogged.
February 11, 2025 at 16:08
Thank you sir for the infirmation, Do i have a chance to get 2NL my case is AF31***k from Ethiopia
February 11, 2025 at 17:11
Yes
February 11, 2025 at 15:47
Why do you think they are keeping AS region back? Any hope for AS 12K thanks.
February 11, 2025 at 16:06
Two thirds of AS region cases are Nepal and Iran. Those two countries were moved substantially in the VB, so I guess they had enough newly processed cases for the rest of Asia to fill capacity.
February 11, 2025 at 16:10
Thank you, however, do you think we will reach what you had predicted in your Asia prediction video? Of around 20K in Asia by the end of the year? Or have you changed your mind on it?
February 11, 2025 at 17:12
I haven’t changed my mind, but also my risky range started lower than 20k.
February 11, 2025 at 18:35
So AS 12K should be safe, I am not Nepali or Iranian, when should I expect an interview, if you can answer. Thank you very much.
February 11, 2025 at 22:41
There are 5 VBs left. Use some common sense.
February 11, 2025 at 23:07
Does this mean that VB did not proceed with the exception of two countries because they are approaching the cap on visa issuance for the entire AS region set by DV?
Thank you for your support.
February 12, 2025 at 09:12
No. Nothing like that at all.
February 12, 2025 at 11:43
Can I send my documents
February 12, 2025 at 18:34
I understood.
Now that the two countries have caught up, I hope the cutoff number will grow next time like it did in January …
Thanks for your support.
