The new visa bulletin has been released for June interviews. It’s a pretty mixed bag. AF and AS got good jumps as expected, OC and SA got held to no increase or a small increase, again, in line with expectations. EU however, whilst it was increased, I really had hoped to see a bigger increase. Of course, we don’t know what that indicates, but clearly it makes it more difficult to get to higher numbers later (given that there are only 3 Visa Bulletins left).

Those that are current, and have forms processed early enough, can normally expect their 2NL in the next 2 to 3 weeks from now. This is supposed to be the same every month. VB from the 8th to the 15th of each month, and 2NLs in the second half of the month. For the last few months there have been 2NLs in daily batches, but we seem to be moving to a more normal procedure where almost all the 2NLs are sent before the end of the month, with just a handful being sent earlier this month. I would normally expect all the interview 2NLs to have all been sent by the end of this month, but we can see recently they are exceeding that to try and get as many interviews in as possible. They can be sent right up until the last day of the month, and even the first few days of the following month during exceptional times.
To those new to looking at VBs, let me explain what the “except” XXX country means – and you can also read this post on how to read the visa bulletin.

Hi sir!
My CN is 2025…..269XX Europe. I noticed that Europe is slow this year. But one more time, could you give your opinion where the Europe`s numbers are going to stop this year?
Kind regards,

I discussed this in detail during my live session yesterday. I am not going to guess the final VB number.

Good Morning M r Simon, my name is Dauda from Uganda, we appreciate everything you do for us when it comes to DV Lottery, I have a 5month baby, and I do not plan to migrate with her to USA at the moment, but I have it in my plan that she will join me in USA maybe after 5years.
Question 1: Do I need also to file for her DS-260 separately even though I don’t intend to migrate with her at the moment.
Question 2: What documents for my 5months baby I’m not migrating with I’m supposed to take for my dv lottery interview?
May 19, 2025 at 17:30
1. No
2. Take the birth cert for the baby just in case they ask.

Hi Mr Simon, I have EU42XXX, I know that it is unlikely to reach me and I know that it is risky, but would it be a good strategy to wait until August 2025 before the publication of numbers for October, and if there will be a minimum 6K or more – then submit form DS 260? Or is it better to wait for January when the dynamics will be visible? And thank you very much for a very useful website and information!
May 13, 2025 at 20:43
We will know more in August – that is when we will number the number of selectees. You will have a better idea then.
May 13, 2025 at 07:51
Do i stand a chance to go through interview with a case number of 2025AF240xx and Freetown as my place for appointment. Thank you
May 13, 2025 at 20:26
I hope so!
May 9, 2025 at 11:08
Hi Brit,
Only three VB’s left. Do you think 2025AS129## still safe? Sri lanka and embassy has no backlogged.
Thank you for your support.
May 9, 2025 at 11:58

May 8, 2025 at 12:15

May 7, 2025 at 06:07
Hi Sir,
What is the chance for As110** for Nepal?
May 7, 2025 at 09:34
You must provide the year as well as region and number.
May 7, 2025 at 22:09
2025 AS110**
May 7, 2025 at 23:16
You have some chance, all you can do is wait and see.
May 6, 2025 at 13:42
Hello Simon.
I am with Case 2025AF737XXX,
I transferred my Case from DRS to NRB January.NRB seems stuck.Any suggestions for Embassies that are doing well that with transfer I can still have hope.
Thanks.
May 6, 2025 at 13:48
I have shown exactly how to assess embassy performance and give yourself a chance. However, at your case number, you don’t need to change yet – so you have time to study and make a decision.
May 6, 2025 at 01:14
I wanted to ask if you have any idea why the U.S. Embassy in Morocco has been delaying the appointment scheduling. It’s been about three months now without any new appointments being announced.
My case number is 22500, and it became current in the March Visa Bulletin. However, I still haven’t received any appointment notification.
Do you know if this delay is normal or if there’s any specific reason behind it?
May 6, 2025 at 05:19
They haven’t published the reason.
May 4, 2025 at 10:09
Hi
I’m EU 17K for 2026
What do you think of my number pertaining to your experience ?
May 4, 2025 at 13:38
It’s great.
May 4, 2025 at 08:47
Hey, I had an initial permanent address of stay in the US and location to obtaining my green card, unfortunately, the individual decline due to funds. What impact does this have if I had to replace him with someone available to aiding me with affidavit of support?
May 4, 2025 at 09:27
It isn’t a problem to change that address at the interview, or even as late as entering the USA on the activation trip. But if you have already entered, that can be a problem.
May 4, 2025 at 02:42
Hi Simon. Thanks for all the content, very useful!
I have casenumber 25EU30XXX. It’s not looking too good for me is it?
May 4, 2025 at 09:12
There is some risk, but perhaps we will see a last minute surprise. Hang in there.
May 1, 2025 at 12:31
Hi Simon, how do i change my interview from Nairobi to UAE Since am working there now!

Hi Mr Simon, is there any chance to AS 17xxx for Kuwait DV26
I am very upset
May 7, 2025 at 12:17
It is too early to know anything.
April 25, 2025 at 08:41
My case number is 2025AF42****, I filled in my DS260 form since July 2024. My case hasn’t been scheduled. I do stand a chance of schedule for Interview soon.
April 25, 2025 at 14:34
Your chance depends on which embassy you are assigned to.
April 22, 2025 at 06:01
What can be expected, if there will be an interview opportunity with EU 24XXX? pls an prediction for that
April 22, 2025 at 09:13
I have already published a math prediction. Now it is up to KCC.
April 21, 2025 at 08:40
Goodday to you @Brit Simon.. DV 2025 is turning out to be tricky and very unfortunate to some of us . I read an article that family green card petitions for relatives of permanent residents have been suspended or slowed down something like that from a recent policy..Is it true?
April 21, 2025 at 13:57
In general immigration processing will be impacted by the Trump administration.
April 23, 2025 at 01:12
Indeed. And that was the fear I expressed since January though you kept saying to the contrary. Anyhow, life goes on.
April 23, 2025 at 08:44
I always said that *processing* would be impacted, not immigration law.
April 20, 2025 at 12:59
Case no 16000 for AS is risky?
April 21, 2025 at 13:54
It has some risk, yes.
April 16, 2025 at 20:28
Hello Mr.Simon. My case number is 2025AS69**. I live in the USA. Do I send my adjustment of status application in June or I can send it now since my CN is released?
April 16, 2025 at 23:07
Now
April 16, 2025 at 18:12
Hi Brit, thanks for all you do.
Do you think there is a chance to somoine with case nember AF603xx
at ALG ?
April 16, 2025 at 23:07
Maybe, but is risky.
April 15, 2025 at 15:46
Hello, I’m from New Zealand and my number is just above 1600. Do you think I will get an interview?
April 15, 2025 at 15:51
Yes
April 14, 2025 at 14:10
AF386XX Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Do I stand a chance..
April 14, 2025 at 16:11
Maybe. I don’t know what DRS will do…
April 14, 2025 at 10:08
As you know in case of nepal the interviews have not touched the visa bulletin number. The numbers were 6400 for nepal in last bulletin but the 2nd letter was sent for upto 6103 do you think they will be able to provide interviews up to 8000 this time around?
April 14, 2025 at 10:57
I don’t know.
April 14, 2025 at 02:05
Is there a chance for an interview EU23XXX
April 14, 2025 at 10:56
Yes.
April 12, 2025 at 14:02
AF386XX Dar es Salaam, does I stand a chance?
April 12, 2025 at 17:36
Maybe.
April 12, 2025 at 09:34
Dear Simon,
I am from Africa ADDIS Ababa, my CN: AF29***. I filled the ds260 form early in July 24 but I didn’t received 2NL yet, what shall I do?
April 12, 2025 at 17:33
Wait.
April 12, 2025 at 07:30
I hope EU22XXX could at least get a chance in September (MTL embassy)
April 11, 2025 at 20:18
Hi brits, lf I participated in the DV lottery as a single person bt before the results are out,I get married. Then luckily I get selected for further processing.if I include my partner in my ds260,will they be scheduled for an interview as well?
April 11, 2025 at 23:18
Yes
April 12, 2025 at 19:41
Thnx brits for the answer,I have been following you since 2019 when dv selectees we were blocked coz of covid.then I was selected again in dv 2023 bt again there was a huge backlog in Nairobi and I missed out bt I still participate in the lottery hoping that one day I shall get a chance.kudos ur a great help to many and I have learnt alot from you and the other guyz from AILA.
April 14, 2025 at 10:50
Wow, you had more than your share of frustration! Best of luck.
April 11, 2025 at 19:12
From your experience, why is OC stalled? Is this normal. I am OC16XX so the stall and slow progress is worrying but I don’t know if its normal and will/may accelerate? Thanks.
April 11, 2025 at 23:17
This was pretty much predictable. I do expect some increases of the remaining 3 VBs.
April 12, 2025 at 00:24
Thanks. Just have to wait and see 🙂
April 11, 2025 at 18:14
Hi Simon as per your prediction video which I have seen is there still hope for AS148xx l?? interview location BMB. What will the last VB for AS just for assumption from your side. Thank you for your hard work and efforts.
April 11, 2025 at 23:17
We will see…
April 11, 2025 at 16:52
What do you think would be the highest number to get to the interview for Europe? Is it still around 27-29k as per your previous predictions? Thank you so much!
April 11, 2025 at 23:16
The predictions are math. However, policy and embassy capacity are starting to become factors. So – we have to wait and see.
May 3, 2025 at 02:55
EU is unlikely to go beyond 25k to fill their quota. That’s posibly reason VB is being paused. Visas issued so far 10k and about 4K in ready and 221g.
May 3, 2025 at 15:31
Many of the READY cases are “no shows” where the person is scheduled for interview but does not attend.
May 5, 2025 at 06:24
Thank you. Well noted. We hope for the best to everyone waiting for this once in a lifetime opportunity. Nairobi especially needs to wake up and do something in the remaining 3 months of scheduling , many of the selectees there are gen zs looking for opportunities in the YUES.
April 11, 2025 at 14:43
From this trend, EU39K seems really hopeless
April 11, 2025 at 16:03
That number has always been a risky number.
April 11, 2025 at 13:37
Hello, every year a high number is announced in July — do you think a high number will be announced this year as well?
April 11, 2025 at 14:35
It’s possible.
April 11, 2025 at 13:15
Yikes, why is EU moving to slow? Is there any risk at EU19k?
April 11, 2025 at 13:28
No
April 11, 2025 at 12:01
My case will be current on may but Nairobi is letting us down
April 11, 2025 at 13:27
Good luck!
May 6, 2025 at 23:49
Have you received your 2NL
April 11, 2025 at 11:25
Impressive.
April 11, 2025 at 10:04
Hello. Thank you for the information.
My CN is 2025AS6977. I live in the US. When do I send my AOS application? June 1st or I can send it now?
April 11, 2025 at 13:22
Now
April 11, 2025 at 10:02
Do you think I should be hopeful with my EU22xxx number, Mr. Simon?
April 11, 2025 at 13:20
I still would be…
April 12, 2025 at 07:28
I’m also at EU22XXX. Starting to get really worried…. It’s been so slow (MTL embassy)
April 11, 2025 at 10:01
Hi Mr.Simon, is there are chance to AS 21392 for Sri Lanka
April 11, 2025 at 13:20
Maybe, but it’s risky.
April 11, 2025 at 09:37
Hi Mr. Simons
Do you think AF will reach 79,5** ?
I’m from Liberia (MRV)
April 11, 2025 at 13:19
Mathematically, they should not reach that number – but we will see…
May 4, 2025 at 01:39
I would like to understand something Sir regarding AF795××.If mathematically thi number is not reached on the VB does that means that the selected can not get an interview later ?
May 4, 2025 at 09:05
When you quote your number, please include the year for clarity as well as the region and number.
If the FINAL visa bulletin (published in July each year) is under your number for your region, then you will not get an interview, and will have lost your chance.
