Hi Simon I am from Ethiopia I fill DV 2021 and I selected, when I fill DV entry I have no passport and I select an option of Passport Exemption: from that I am not required to submit passport information because I am:
Unable to obtain a passport, and have received an individual waiver of the passport requirement by the Secretary of Homeland Security or Secretary of State. when I fill SD-260 with passport requirement because I have got it passport from my country my question is I understand that if it is later determined I am not exempt from the passport requirement, I may be disqualified from the Diversity Visa program. What type of document I need to get?

Well there is probably no document you can get. Why did you think you were exempt from the passport requirement?

Because Ethiopia was not giving passport to any citizen at that time .. unless you have a reason explaining that you need a passport now from any source..our govt will not issue passport to every individual.

I don’t think that reason will be treated as valid. But wait and see how the passport rule is handled.

There is obviously risk, but this year it is not possible to predict anything.

Scheduling for the DV 2021 program year has not yet begun. Please monitor Travel.State.gov for updates. Selectees will be notified by an email to the address they provided to check the Entrant Status Check (ESC) website as soon as an interview is scheduled. ” that email was on December 9th, do you know when will they start scheduling?

Secondly wen I have tried to check on the FY 2021 ceac current shows that the file now at nvc .and other cases of some selectees shows non non non .does that sounds promising ? Because the case is huge ,what’s the logic ?? Thank you for the update always

My case is ready to be scheduled, and my POLICE CERTIFICATE expires (6months duration in GHANA) this month , March.

Please, do I have to request for a new Police Cert?
