VB reading:
– number of available visas per region
– CN bellow the published number will get interview notification if everything is ok (DS-260 and docs)
Is that reading correct?
Are CN that doesn’t get notification requesting documents? If so, why?
Is there any order in terms of receiving notifications for docs or interview?
Good morning Mr simon ,
I’m From Algeria CN: 64K (2021)
1) Should i wait until January or more to submit my DS-260 ?
2) I was born in Algeria but i’m actually a french citizen so if i sumbit the DS-260 will that cause some problem for me if i travel to US with the visa wavier program for tourism ? beacause i know that it can be a problem for those who need a non immigrant visa
3)when i was undergraduate student i have done some summer jobs , is it important to put them in the work experience of the DS260 ? (it was like for 20 days each year only during summer)
And thank you very much for all what you do to help the winners with your precious analysis and advices
Hi Brit,
Thanks a lot for the video.
My spouse lives in the US as LPR and he applied for me I-130 so that I can get visa.
In meantime I also applied for DV2021 and got selected: AF34xxx
My questions are:
1. Do you think the ban also affected the process of Family preference category visas ? We have not yet heard from USCIS and it has already been a year when he submitted I-130.
2. I have not yet filled Ds-160, planning to do that early next year hoping that in mean time I-130 gets approved and an interview can be scheduled.
Is it okay if I fill Ds-160 next year?
3. What would you advise, that i focus on family preference category or for myself to process DV2021 ?
Hello, Brit.
I think you do remember my questions about AOS in USA
So I am a DV lottery winner for 2020 with a case number EU35k
I had my interview on August 26 and my permanent residency is approved and today I have received an actually green card ! In only 3 weeks after the interview
I still can’t believe I’ve been tough all of this !
I have arrived to USA with my tourist visa in February to celebrate my bday with
T boyfriend and then my flight was canceled and I stuck in usa without any idea what’s gonna happen with me and my future
I didn’t know shall I leave to USA or stay
But I’ve listened to
My guts and trusted in myself
I was fighting for myself and your blog helped a lot
It’s been so tough months for
Me
I’ve lived pandemic in nyc , I’ve been trough the break up as well but I didn’t give up

Quick question, Brit. Not sure what will happen to the DV2021 WINERS, so if there is DV 2022 should we apply again, even though we are selected from DV 2021? Thanks, and sorry for the silly question.
Hi Brit,
I have a question regarding interviews of dv2021. If the judge extends the processing of dv2020 cases until December 31st, will dv2021 cases also start interviews in the meantime (probably starting from December.
My other question which has to do with my own case (dv2021 eu20xxx) is:
Will requesting an unlock for the ds260 due to passport renewal, delay the email regarding documentation scanning from kcc?
Bula vinaka I am from fiji and a dv2021 winner just a quick question on PC me and my wife have both done our PC for fiji and new Zealand however my wife went to hawaii for 4yrs attended byu hawaii she graduated and came back to fiji in 2010 do we still need to get a PC for hawaii as well or it will be in the system automatic since it’s one of the state in USA?
Thank you again for everything you do for the dv2020 awesome job indeed.
Thanks for the reply brit just another question how do we amend our ds260 form? I was just checking on preview and I can see that their is a miss spelling on my work address
Hi Simon,
thank you for supporting all of us dedicating a consistent time of your day to DV applicants.
I am a DV2021 winner but i am following closely what’s happening to DV2020 winners too.
I am from EU, with a CN already current, as per September visa bullettin. With the travel ban not being a restriction anymore on scheduling interviews, is it possible that DV2021 interviews will start in November? Or is it written somewhere that order only affects DV2020? Do you think they might include this info in the upcoming visa bullettin?
The order is specific to DV2020. I believe we won’t see DV2021 interviews until January – even though the Judge’s order points out the decision to not process during the ban on entry is unlawful. All explained above.
Hello Brits, I know you have spoken about people who are married and a spouse happen to win the DV lottery.
Please kindly help me even though may seem boring. I played with my wife and have been selected.
My worry now is in case my wife is not ready to move now because and I am to go alone, for her follow when am already in US: will she need to be present on the day of interview at the embassy?
Or can I as the principal applicant proceed further alone first? If yes would she be needed at the time of interview for confirmation of marriage?
We wish to know before I can proceed to fill and submit the DS260 form.
Hi Simon, In your opinion will the induction of the public chargeability clause and request for Affidavit of Support (Form I-134) at the time of the interview eliminate many of the selectees from obtaining the visa?
The I-134 has been in constant use for years and the public charge requirement is a standard part of immigration law and has been applied to DV lottery all the time. Not satisfying the CO about public charge risk can lead to denial and always has. Nothing new about that. There was some new public charge stuff introduced a while back, but that has nothing to do with the I-134.
I am a winner of DV 2021. I am a high school graduate and also a Teacher in a primary school. My husband is not working presently but has good work experience. He’s also a holder of M.Sc.Degree
1 Will his condition( not working) affect the process?
2. From the look of things, when do you think DV:2021 interview will start?
I sent my documents to KCC 7 weeks ago but I did not receive any email from them stating that the documents complete and ready for schedule when your case number current, what do you suggest to do?!
Hi brit. How are you. Do we hope to see any new visa bulletin posted and if the jugde rulling says that the proclamation doesnot stop the issuance of the visa then why not the kcca continue to issue for 2021
Please Sir, another inquiry. My son was 19 years old and 20 years when I played the DV and submitted the DS-260. He will turn 21 by November 22 this year. I want to know if my interview is scheduled in January next year and already being 21
1. Does he stand the chance to get visa?
2. Is there any provision on the books that can protect him to be eligible for the visa? If so, kindly show me the link so that I can show it to the consular at interview.
Have followed the instructions given on your FQA for unlocking ds260 however emailed KCC a week ago still no reply.
Just wanted to amend work address incorrect spelt and also my son (infant) new passport details on the system.
Your blog says they cannot unlock the forms once your CN is current even though 2NLs haven’t been sent I am dv2021 winner from Fiji last VB has stated that my CN is current will it be a problem if this does not get updated on time?
I appreciate for the help you are doing to all of us. I’m Dv2021 winner and I am also a medical doctor (General Practitioner) and when I fill the DS 260 form it asked me this 2 questions:
Are you a graduate of a foreign medical school seeking to perform medical services in the United States but have not yet passed the National Board of Medical Examiners examination or its equivalent? YES or NO?
Are you a health care worker seeking to perform such work in the United States but have not yet received certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools or from an equivalent approved independent credentialing organization? YES or NO?
My worry is since I am graduate of a foreign medical school but not seeking of doing health related jobs there before I got accredited/licensed, what should be the appropriate response for the above 2 questions?
My number is current in Europe, I have received email saying that my documents are ok and that I should wait until my number is current or that I should contact the kcc if my interview is not scheduled. Should I wait or send something? The email also stated that only 2020dv interviews are blocked but nothing saying about blocking 2021 interviews.
Thanks
P.S. any comments about that they said after sending my documents that they would contact me after 3-6 weeks but contacted me in 3 days?
Hi Brit,
Thanks so much for your help. I am DV2021 selectee and my case number AF00005XXX. I sent my DS260 form a month ago but i have not receive document email. Sir looking at my case number, hope it will be current in the next visa bulletin, Should i call KCC to find out or i should still wait?
Thanks in advance.
I received this below message from KCC two days ago.
Congratulations. Our records indicate that you have submitted all documents required by KCC and are ready to be scheduled for an interview when your case number becomes current.. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case number that have completed processing.
The bulletin is updated after the 15th day of each month. Once an interview date has scheduled you will receive notification via email listed on your DS260. My case number is 2021AF2
1.Please, what does this mean?
2. What does CN becomes current mean?
3. Is this CN current?
4. With this CN, do I stand the chance of being included in the first batch for interview?
5.Looking at this number, when do you think think I will be scheduled
for interview?
Forst, your number is not correct – it does not give me any idea of the range of your number. Second, I have guides that you clearly have not read that would help you understand the process and what “current” means. Please put in some effort at the very least reading the FAQ. Once you do that, come and ask remaining outstanding questions.
Hello Brit
Thank you very much
I am selectee of dv-2021, 2021EU9xxx. I have a mistaken letter in my father’s name (kind of middle name). First name and Surname is correct as in identification document.
I am interested if a mistaken writen letter in middle name is subject to visa refusal at an interview with CO,
Let me know your opinion?
Thank you
Hello Brits,
You say Judge Mehta’s decision doesn’t help DV2021 cases.
But lawyer Grieg Sieskind said on his twitter that the Judge’s decision was comprehensive and covers even DV2021 cases?
Hello Brit, I am in a lawsuit, someone has filed a criminal complaint against me since 2014 and the court and the prosecution do nothing but neglect the process, in the testimony of the police and the court, it turns out to be clear. I have never had a conviction. Is this situation a problem?
Hello Brit,
I’m married and want to enter DV-2022, I want to state I’m “unmarried” under the marital status.
Hopefully, process everything alone and get to the US and years later, let my wife join me.
1. Is this possible?
2. Any punishments?
Please, can u please enlighten me on this with the “Dos and Dont’s”.
I am filling out ds260 and I responded YES to the question “Do you seek to enter the United States with the purpose of performing skilled or unskilled labor but not yet been certified by the secretary of labor”
The “YES” demands an explanation, can u please suggest one for me?
I’m married. Please, can both myself and my wife enter into the DV-2022 lottery, thus applying separately and each stating the details for spouse under the marital status on the form?
I mean,
Can she apply hers separately from mine and for each, provide the spouse details on each one’s entry?
I am a DV-2021 winner and I intend to immigrate with my wife to the US.
Currently, we’re both filling the ds260.
We are both graduate from the University and haven’t gained full employment and neither of us has ever lived or worked in the US.
These questions are confusing both of us on how each should answer.
Q1. “Do u seek to enter into the United States for the purpose of performing skilled or unskilled labor but not yet been certified by the secretary of labor?”
“YES” comes with an explanation( Can u please suggest one for us)
Q2. “Is your spouse immigrating with you to the US?”
ADDITIONAL QUESTION
Can we both enter into the DV-2022 separately, and on the marital field, should each provide details of his or her spouse?
Can u please review my answer on the Labor question.
ANSWER: “YES”
EXPLANATION: “NOT REQUIRED FOR DV LOTTERY, MOREOVER, I NEED TO WORK TO PAY BILLS, SUPPORT MY FAMILY, CONTRIBUTE TO THE USCOUNTRY AND THE COMMUNITY”
Hello Brit. Please I’m a selectee for DV 2021 with CN AF5XXXX. I have already filled and submitted my DS-260 but I’m yet to receive a mail to that effect. Looking at the uncertainties that lies ahead, is it advisable to try DV 2022?
I AM A DV-2021 WINNER, IMMIGRATING WITH MY WIFE, BOTH HOLDING FIRST DEGREES. NEITHER HAVE LIVED OR STAYED IN THE US.
This is the answer an ATTORNEY gave me on AVVO PLATFORM on question “SKILLED/UNSKILLED LABOR IN THE US but not yet been certified by SECRETARY OF LABOR?”
“”You should not attempt to file for DV on your own. As your letter indicates, only one (1) of each two (2) applicants “selected (for further processing”) who apply will actually be approved for “green card.”
Q1. If you answer “yes” to that one can then kiss your DV application bye-bye.””
Please help me, I am confused right now Brit.
Thank you so much
Thank you so much for continuing to keep us all so informed and up to date. This may be a silly question but we’re all in chartered territory here. Is it ok to enter DV2022 if you’ve been selected for DV2021? My number is quite high (OC21XX) and with the lost months and potential for the ban to continue into next year, I am not feeling too confident about my number becoming current at this stage.
That said, I would not want to compromise my current selection by re-entering in DV2022. I doubt this has much bearing, but also an FYI I am currently on a non-immigrant work visa, though I don’t intend to lodge my DS260 unless it is clear my number will become current with enough time to process.
Any thoughts on this would be very welcome.
I have two questions. If you could answer , it would be great .
I need to complete my education so,
1. Can I apply for reentry permit right after coming to the states without receiving physical GC and return to my country of origin after my biometrics ?
2. Can I have my GC sent to me after my relatives receive it to my country of origin ?
I was staying with spouse when I entered into DV-2021 but were not legally married.
We got this month, September.
As of the time of my entry, I stated a different place as my MAILING ADDRESS and now, I’ve changed it to where we’re currently staying in my ds260.
Q1. Will it be a problem for me cos of change of mailing address?
Q2. Work you intend to do in the US, does it have anything to do with whether you’ll be scheduled for an interview or not cos someone told me, US don’t need some people in work wise, like lawyers and the likes?
Q3. Does my intention for “PHYSICAL SCIENCES” guarantees me for further processing?
I am a winner dv 2021. sa17xxx when do you think it could be my interview? My daughter will turn 21 in June and will age 2022 in January. You will have a problem for your visa if the interview is after June?
hello, sorry my numbers is dv2021SAXXXX17XX.
1. WHEN DO YOU THINK I COULD BE MY INTERVIEW?
2 my daugther will turn 21 in june2021.and she will age january 2022. you wil have a problem for her visa if the interview is after june?
thanks. i loved your job.
Hi Brit, greetings from Bolivia
My number is current in South America, also have received email in July saying that my documents are good Should I wait or send something cause my number is current?
Thank you (:
(1) I see they have “High school, no degree” and “High school, degree” as options in the education section of the DV entry questionnaire. Can you please explain the difference if you can.
(2) I did some minor research and it says vocational school does not qualify you to enter in the DV lottery (i got this from my google search). In that case why do they still have it as an option?, i selected vocation school in my mom’s DV2021 application and she was not selected. I would just like to ensure i select the correct education option in the DV 2022 entry.
MY CN IS AF41XXX AND I SUBMITED MY DS-260 IN JUNE, BUT STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM KCC. SHOULD I EMAIL.
1. IF KCC EMAIL ME REQUESTING FOR MY DOCS, IN HOW MANY DAYS (MAX.) WILL I HAVE TO SUBMIT IT?
2. SHOULD I EMAIL THEM MY DOCUMENTS?
3. IS MY CN TOO HIGH?
Please I’m filling the DS260 form for dv 2021 and I have a question.
I answered NO to the question ” Do you want the Social Security Administration to issue a Social Security number and a card?” I wanted to change it but I can’t because the option has disappeared yet my answer is showing in the review. Is it okay to leave it like that.
Hi Simon, I was selected for DV 2021 but am troubled by the following scenario.
At the time of registration, I indicated my marital status as SINGLE. I have been living with my fiance for the last 10 years and we wish to marry next month. I wish to change my marital status to MARRIED on the DS 260 so that my wife is included. Will the change is my marital status affect my chances of being considered for the VISA? kindly advice. Isaac.
You don’t just change the marital status – you get legally married. Once you have done that you can include her on your case – read the FAQ for more info.
Hi Simon! If I’m waiting to hear back for DV2021 interview time (submitted application already) can I apply for the lottery again for 2022 just incase I’m not successful this time around? Or is this risky?
My CN is 2021AF3XXX and is current in Africa now.
I’ve a received a confirmation email stating that, all documents have been received but not yet scheduled for an interview.
1. Can I mail KCC to know if there’s something wrong with my documentation?
2. Is it possible i could be scheduled in this November or possibly December?
Hi brit
I’m a 2021 selectee of dv lottery from iran
My CN is about AS12000
i’m worried about the interviews due to the pandemic, Because many of 2020 winners’ interviews were canceled last year. What’s your opinion?
Please I’m a selectee for 2021 and would like to know more about the form (I-134) that a host has to fill.
I only filled the D260 form in June and provided the details of my host. How can I get the form for my host to fill it please?
And my host happens to be a friend to my uncle, is that relationship strong or I should change him to a friend whom I know personally?
Hi Brit, I have a question regarding this specific area. The host I have put in my DS260 is a close friend. But do I have the option to ask another close friend to fill in I-134 as the host I have filled in may not be in a position to do so. Or do I need to change my host by unlocking the DS260? Thanks a lot
Hi BritS.
I am a dv 2021 winner from Africa. My case number is AF70***. I submitted my ds-260 sometime in August. KCC have not asked me to send the supporting documents yet. Is my case too high? Am i likely to be scheduled for interview? If yes, when am i likely to be interviewed. Thank you in advance .
Your case number is high, yes. However, it is impossible to know how things will go so it will be many months before you have any idea whether you will get an interview or not.
Hi Brit, A winner from Africa, is this case number 2021AF00065*** high ? And what are my chances since it’s January already and still there is no confirmatory message on my submitted documents(DS-260) and secondly when do you think I can be call up for an interview as per my case number .
Thank you very much Brit for relentless your work!
Our case number (4k) was current in November – but no invitation yet from the KCC.
From what I can tell reading the visa bulletin the cut-off numbers are increasing steadily (6k for December)…
September 13, 2020 at 19:42
Hi Simon
I saw a question here saying that a person from EU region DV2021 CN 7XXX had received e-mail from KCC to send documents.
My question is is that possible since the number on the visa bulletin for EU region is 2500?
Best regards
September 13, 2020 at 20:12
Hello brist, why in Africa, they selected 100 hundred thousand? What is the number of africans each year in dv? And the number of camerounian?
September 14, 2020 at 04:44
They did not select 100K in AF. Have a look at some of my earlier videos and articles to understand better.
September 14, 2020 at 04:45
The VB is nothing to do with document submission.
September 14, 2020 at 19:01
VB reading:
– number of available visas per region

Is that reading correct?
Are CN that doesn’t get notification requesting documents? If so, why?
Is there any order in terms of receiving notifications for docs or interview?
Best regards
September 14, 2020 at 22:13
The VB is not to do with sending documents. Read the FAQ
September 13, 2020 at 20:33
Dear Brit
I think we shouldn’t wait for December
As Trumb have a chance to win the elections.
And even he didn’t win the elections we don’t know what the new present will do
So I think we should start to go through the court to change the current situation
This may opinion if you agree advise us how we can go on
September 14, 2020 at 04:43
I sometimes feel my detailed explanations are a waste of time. You don’t appear to have understood what I said.

3. No need to list that.

Hi Simon,
thank you for supporting all of us dedicating a consistent time of your day to DV applicants.
September 15, 2020 at 14:11
The order is specific to DV2020.

September 15, 2020 at 17:04
You can proceed alone and bring her later. However read the FAQ because you need to decide when she might want to join you to make your decision.
September 16, 2020 at 05:26
Hi Simon, In your opinion will the induction of the public chargeability clause and request for Affidavit of Support (Form I-134) at the time of the interview eliminate many of the selectees from obtaining the visa?
Your input is greatly appreciated.
September 16, 2020 at 20:04
The I-134 has been in constant use for years and the public charge requirement is a standard part of immigration law and has been applied to DV lottery all the time. Not satisfying the CO about public charge risk can lead to denial and always has. Nothing new about that. There was some new public charge stuff introduced a while back, but that has nothing to do with the I-134.

Dear Mr. Britsimon
September 17, 2020 at 02:38
1. No
2. January
September 16, 2020 at 21:32
Hi Simone
I sent my documents to KCC 7 weeks ago but I did not receive any email from them stating that the documents complete and ready for schedule when your case number current, what do you suggest to do?!
Thank you in advance.
September 17, 2020 at 10:46
Hi brit. How are you. Do we hope to see any new visa bulletin posted and if the jugde rulling says that the proclamation doesnot stop the issuance of the visa then why not the kcca continue to issue for 2021
September 17, 2020 at 19:26
There will be a new VB every month.
The video answers your other questions.
September 17, 2020 at 15:48
Britsimon,
Please Sir, another inquiry.
Thank you for the assistance.

Bula Brit,
Just curious bro.
September 18, 2020 at 18:09
They are busy. Be patient.
September 18, 2020 at 21:35
Thanks
September 18, 2020 at 09:02
Dear Simon,
I appreciate for the help you are doing to all of us.
Thank you in advance for your help!
September 18, 2020 at 18:10
Yes for each question. It isn’t a critical questions, but YES is the most accurate answer.
September 18, 2020 at 14:14
Dear Brit,
My number is current in Europe, I have received email saying that my documents are ok and that I should wait until my number is current or that I should contact the kcc if my interview is not scheduled. Should I wait or send something? The email also stated that only 2020dv interviews are blocked but nothing saying about blocking 2021 interviews.
Thanks
P.S. any comments about that they said after sending my documents that they would contact me after 3-6 weeks but contacted me in 3 days?
September 19, 2020 at 00:29
2021 interviews won’t start until January. Patience.
September 18, 2020 at 16:11
Hi Brit,
Thanks so much for your help. I am DV2021 selectee and my case number AF00005XXX. I sent my DS260 form a month ago but i have not receive document email. Sir looking at my case number, hope it will be current in the next visa bulletin, Should i call KCC to find out or i should still wait?
Thanks in advance.
September 19, 2020 at 00:34
Wait.
September 19, 2020 at 23:04
Dear Mr. Britsimon,
I received this below message from KCC two days ago.
Thank you very much.
Grace
September 20, 2020 at 20:14
Forst, your number is not correct – it does not give me any idea of the range of your number. Second, I have guides that you clearly have not read that would help you understand the process and what “current” means. Please put in some effort at the very least reading the FAQ. Once you do that, come and ask remaining outstanding questions.
September 21, 2020 at 12:19
Thank you Mr. Britsimon.
My CN is 2021AF2xxx. Basically, I just wanted to know with said response from KCC,
1. What next? Where do we go from here?
2. When do you think will be the interview with said CN?
Grace
September 21, 2020 at 15:53
It seems you did not do what I asked.
September 20, 2020 at 18:01
Thank you
September 20, 2020 at 20:41
Not normally a problem.
September 21, 2020 at 14:37
Hello Brits,
You say Judge Mehta’s decision doesn’t help DV2021 cases.
But lawyer Grieg Sieskind said on his twitter that the Judge’s decision was comprehensive and covers even DV2021 cases?
September 21, 2020 at 16:03
What I said is accurate.
Provide a link to where Greg Siskind said something other than that.
September 21, 2020 at 20:32
Hello Brit, I am in a lawsuit, someone has filed a criminal complaint against me since 2014 and the court and the prosecution do nothing but neglect the process, in the testimony of the police and the court, it turns out to be clear. I have never had a conviction. Is this situation a problem?
September 21, 2020 at 20:36
In the criminal testimonies of the court and the police it does not appear that I have a trial or any offense.
September 21, 2020 at 20:38
Probably not. It would depend on the crime, but since you have not been found guilty, at the moment that is not even a consideration.
September 23, 2020 at 11:49
Hello Brit,
I’m married and want to enter DV-2022, I want to state I’m “unmarried” under the marital status.
Hopefully, process everything alone and get to the US and years later, let my wife join me.
1. Is this possible?
2. Any punishments?
Please, can u please enlighten me on this with the “Dos and Dont’s”.
Thank you in advance.
September 23, 2020 at 17:44
1. It’s idiotic.
2. Disqualification.
DO tell the truth.
DON’T lie.
September 22, 2020 at 04:38
Hello Brit…
I am filling out ds260 and I responded YES to the question “Do you seek to enter the United States with the purpose of performing skilled or unskilled labor but not yet been certified by the secretary of labor”
The “YES” demands an explanation, can u please suggest one for me?
Going with my wife actually.
Thank you
September 22, 2020 at 22:20
Answer Yes. Explanation could be literally anything – but “not employment based category” would do.
September 22, 2020 at 11:08
Hello Brit
I’m married. Please, can both myself and my wife enter into the DV-2022 lottery, thus applying separately and each stating the details for spouse under the marital status on the form?
I mean,
Can she apply hers separately from mine and for each, provide the spouse details on each one’s entry?
Thank you
September 22, 2020 at 23:55
Yes
September 22, 2020 at 11:58
CONFUSING QUESTIONS
Or one spouse entry covers both couple?
Thank you Brit
September 22, 2020 at 23:59
1. Yes. “Not required for DV lottery”
2. Answer what applies to you.
Bonus round.
Each one applies, each one listing the other as the spouse.
September 23, 2020 at 11:14
Hello Brit,
Please is “Not required for dv lottery” the suggestion to the “YES” explanation on the labor question?
Thank you so much
September 23, 2020 at 17:41
Yes
September 23, 2020 at 21:04
Hello Brit,
Does that mean, in reality if I answer “NO” to th the Labor Question I wouldnt be able or cannot work in the US?
I need some clarification please Sir.
Anything to add up.
You’re indeed helping the world.
Thank You
September 23, 2020 at 23:42
Yes is the most logical answer, but whatever you answer makes NO difference since it is not employment based.
September 25, 2020 at 20:53
Hello Brit,
Can u please review my answer on the Labor question.
ANSWER: “YES”
EXPLANATION: “NOT REQUIRED FOR DV LOTTERY, MOREOVER, I NEED TO WORK TO PAY BILLS, SUPPORT MY FAMILY, CONTRIBUTE TO THE USCOUNTRY AND THE COMMUNITY”
BOSS, Can u please comment on it for me?
Thank you
September 25, 2020 at 23:18
Can you imagine if I had to repeatedly answer the every question from everyone every time?
September 22, 2020 at 15:11
Hello Brit. Please I’m a selectee for DV 2021 with CN AF5XXXX. I have already filled and submitted my DS-260 but I’m yet to receive a mail to that effect. Looking at the uncertainties that lies ahead, is it advisable to try DV 2022?
September 23, 2020 at 00:04
Yes
September 23, 2020 at 17:45
Hello Brit,
I AM A DV-2021 WINNER, IMMIGRATING WITH MY WIFE, BOTH HOLDING FIRST DEGREES.
Thank you so much
September 23, 2020 at 18:10
The lawyer who answered you knows NOTHING about DV cases. Don’t listen to idiots. Some idiots manage to get qualified as attorneys.
September 23, 2020 at 21:24
Wow, you’re so great Brit. God continue to richly bless you for us all.
September 24, 2020 at 01:41
Hello Brit,
Any idea of any background checks on our “email addresses” providwd and track of WhatsApp chat history?
September 24, 2020 at 03:01
I don’t know
September 24, 2020 at 00:21
Hey BritSimon,
Thank you so much for continuing to keep us all so informed and up to date.
September 24, 2020 at 03:00
No problem to enter DV2022
September 24, 2020 at 15:14
Hey Simon ,
I have two questions. If you could answer , it would be great .
I need to complete my education so,
1. Can I apply for reentry permit right after coming to the states without receiving physical GC and return to my country of origin after my biometrics ?
2. Can I have my GC sent to me after my relatives receive it to my country of origin ?
September 24, 2020 at 21:48
1. Yes
2. Yes
September 26, 2020 at 10:35
Thank You !
September 26, 2020 at 10:00
Hello Brit, how’re you doing?
Thank you.
September 26, 2020 at 23:35
You applied as single – right?
1. No
2. Just tell the truth and don’t listen to idiots.
3. No.
September 26, 2020 at 19:55

Hello Brit,
I am a DV winner and my spouse is currently a student.
CURRENT OCCUPATION IS STUDENT, and I’ve provided details of the SCHOOL.
Since schools attended does not allow future date,
Q1. how do I include her current education in into the EDUCATION HISTORY IN DS260?
Q2. Is it possible to save my confirmation page in PDF and later print? If so how ?
Cos i want to avoid errors, and you’re doing a great job for us.
Thank You
October 1, 2020 at 20:30
1. THat is not history – that is current occupation.
2. Yes
October 3, 2020 at 14:49
Hi BOSS,
Thank you.
Again, about to e-sign and submit my spouse ds260.
Q1. Should I enter my case number and her PASSPORT NUMBER to sign and submit?
Q2. Is it individual PASSPORT NUMBERS but SAME CASE NUMBER FOR US ALL?
thank you
October 5, 2020 at 17:11
1. That’s fine.
2. Yes
October 2, 2020 at 01:53
Hi Brit, greetings from Bolivia
My number is current in South America, also have received email in July saying that my documents are good Should I wait or send something cause my number is current?
Thank you (:
October 2, 2020 at 23:04
You just have to wait now.
October 16, 2020 at 17:37
Hi Brit,
Your blog is very informative and insightful
I have two questions about the initial entry.
I would just like to ensure i select the correct education option in the DV 2022 entry.
please help
Thank you very much in advance
October 16, 2020 at 22:08
1. The question is completely unimportant, and does not affect selection, so just pick one.
2. See 1
October 17, 2020 at 12:18
Thank you
October 19, 2020 at 23:13
HI BRIT SIMON,
MY CN IS AF41XXX AND I SUBMITED MY DS-260 IN JUNE, BUT STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM KCC. SHOULD I EMAIL.
1. IF KCC EMAIL ME REQUESTING FOR MY DOCS, IN HOW MANY DAYS (MAX.) WILL I HAVE TO SUBMIT IT?
2. SHOULD I EMAIL THEM MY DOCUMENTS?
3. IS MY CN TOO HIGH?
October 20, 2020 at 00:01
Wait patiently!
October 20, 2020 at 00:05
Ok Sir thank you. Kindly respond to my question 1.
October 22, 2020 at 10:09
Good day Mr Simon,
Africa has 53k selectees. Does this number include principal and their family members?
October 22, 2020 at 19:56
Yes
November 5, 2020 at 00:14
Hi BritSimon,
Please I’m filling the DS260 form for dv 2021 and I have a question.
I answered NO to the question ” Do you want the Social Security Administration to issue a Social Security number and a card?” I wanted to change it but I can’t because the option has disappeared yet my answer is showing in the review. Is it okay to leave it like that.
Thanks.
November 5, 2020 at 04:16
No problem.
November 5, 2020 at 14:16
Hi Simon, I was selected for DV 2021 but am troubled by the following scenario.
Isaac.
November 6, 2020 at 20:58
You don’t just change the marital status – you get legally married. Once you have done that you can include her on your case – read the FAQ for more info.
November 8, 2020 at 16:56
Hi Simon! If I’m waiting to hear back for DV2021 interview time (submitted application already) can I apply for the lottery again for 2022 just incase I’m not successful this time around? Or is this risky?
November 9, 2020 at 00:06
Yes you can. No risk.
November 15, 2020 at 21:58
Hi Britsimon..
3. Or after November, won’t i be scheduled?
Thank you Boss
November 16, 2020 at 21:18
No one has been scheduled for interview yet. You simply need to wait and see when interviews start.
November 17, 2020 at 05:42
Hi brit
I’m a 2021 selectee of dv lottery from iran
My CN is about AS12000
i’m worried about the interviews due to the pandemic, Because many of 2020 winners’ interviews were canceled last year. What’s your opinion?
November 17, 2020 at 18:43
There are certainly concerns, of course. But you need to wait and see what happens.
November 19, 2020 at 16:34
Hi Britsimon
Please, does DV-2021 require to fill AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT (Form I-134) ?
Because, our host in the US is my wife’s Uncle and her Dad is in the US as well.
Q1. Does he have to fill (form l-134)?
Q2. How will this affect our chance?
So confused, thank you
November 19, 2020 at 21:01
1. Yes you should ask them to do that.
2. Your CO might want the I-134 to be able to approve your case.
November 19, 2020 at 21:09
Please I’m a selectee for 2021 and would like to know more about the form (I-134) that a host has to fill.
I only filled the D260 form in June and provided the details of my host. How can I get the form for my host to fill it please?
And my host happens to be a friend to my uncle, is that relationship strong or I should change him to a friend whom I know personally?
November 20, 2020 at 01:29
Read this:
https://britsimonsays.com/all-about-public-charge-affidavit-of-support-i-134/
December 2, 2020 at 06:29
Hi Brit, I have a question regarding this specific area. The host I have put in my DS260 is a close friend. But do I have the option to ask another close friend to fill in I-134 as the host I have filled in may not be in a position to do so. Or do I need to change my host by unlocking the DS260? Thanks a lot
December 2, 2020 at 15:01
They can be different people.
November 29, 2020 at 15:52
November 29, 2020 at 17:11
Your case number is high, yes. However, it is impossible to know how things will go so it will be many months before you have any idea whether you will get an interview or not.
January 26, 2021 at 23:39
Hi Brit, A winner from Africa, is this case number 2021AF00065*** high ? And what are my chances since it’s January already and still there is no confirmatory message on my submitted documents(DS-260) and secondly when do you think I can be call up for an interview as per my case number .
Thank you
January 27, 2021 at 06:25
Yes it is high, and no interviews are being scheduled yet. So – all you can do is hope.
December 1, 2020 at 20:53
Hello from Germany.
Thank you very much Brit for relentless your work!
Our case number (4k) was current in November – but no invitation yet from the KCC.
From what I can tell reading the visa bulletin the cut-off numbers are increasing steadily (6k for December)…
Do you have any more insights?
Thanks
December 1, 2020 at 22:08
No interviews are being scheduled right now. So you have to wait.
December 2, 2020 at 04:54
Hi Brit, i’m a little bit confused about CN.
Can someone have a CN AF12xxx and other have AS12xxx or EU12xxx in the same year?
December 2, 2020 at 14:59
To be more clear, there could be an AF1, and AS1 and EU1 in the same year. The numbers are only unique within the region, not globally.
