Xarthisius has refreshed the CEAC data on March 1. The data can be downloaded and viewed at this site – LINK HERE.
The data shows that KCC pushed as many interviews as possible for EU region in particular. The data also shows AF region still has many cases where cuments are not submitted, OC region is almost current, and SA region is likely to not go current.
We can also see that just over 10,000 visas have been issued, way behind where we would normally be at this point.
Watch the video with my thoughts about the data here-
March 2, 2020 at 8:07 pm
I assume think looks way more promising for next EU visa bulletin than last one?
March 2, 2020 at 8:17 pm
This year is the best year of the DV lottery
March 2, 2020 at 9:16 pm
Why do you say that??
March 2, 2020 at 8:27 pm
Thanks for this video.
So, at this point, Eu recovered his backlogs, isn’t? If yes, KCC should schedule more cases this month for next VB, is this correct? I am 27XXX, what are the probability to be current for the next VB ? Thank u
March 2, 2020 at 9:15 pm
It seems like you did not watch the video….
March 2, 2020 at 8:45 pm
Thanks ur assistance Mr wat do u think of africa will they add as they did last month or less your prediction please I’m Af54k would I be current march/ April
March 2, 2020 at 9:12 pm
Wait and see.
March 2, 2020 at 9:04 pm
Thanks a lot! That’s at least a hope. My case is EU48xxx. Worse case scenario I should be interviews in September! Let’s keep our finger crossed.
March 2, 2020 at 9:30 pm
Hello BritSimon,
It was very useful to watch your video about the ceac data.
I’m EU44***, and I’m from Russia.
There we have some forums and also we have a DV2020 TABLE, where all the winners from ex-ussr countries share the information about their cn, dates of documents submitting, dates of getting emails from kcc “Congratulation! Our record indicate that you provided…” and so on.
I also called to KCC in December and they confirmed that if I want to be scheduled in June for example, my number must be in VB, published in the middle of April AND my documents must be submitted before the 3rd of April. The same situation is about the other months. So to be scheduled in September I don’t only need to be in July VB, but I also need to get the scans confirmation before the 3rd of July. In other words, they must confirm the scans BEFORE the VB.
I see two problems now.
First one is about backlog and the situation with checking the scans. There are a lot of April interviews just because KCC started to confirm all the scan from 14*** till 21*** AFTER publishing the VB in January, not before the 3rd of January.
According to the DV 2020 TABLE there are no confirms for cn higher then EU23*** now. So it seems to me that in spite of the cut off, which will be in VB in March, there would be a few interviews in May.
If it happens, how do you think it will affect the chances for the high cn?
The other thing which scares me is the fact that three last months KCC confirmed the docs only after the numbers were published in VB. It’s getting quite clear after watching through our DV2020 TABLE. They also tell they can say nothing about the documents before the cn is current. If KCC won’t change their checking system, I’m afraid, a lot of people won’t get their interviews even if their number would be in July VB.
What do you think about this possible situation?
I can’t check the situation in other regions, but I’m sure you know more than I do, so what is your opinion about this backlog in checking the documents by KCC especially for high cn? Do you think the problem is only in those who didn’t send the documents?
Thanks for your help and sorry for such a long comment 🙂
March 2, 2020 at 9:40 pm
I don’t really see a question in there, apart from a general thoughts on the situation. I think the video covers that. A couple of things I would say.
In my experience the staff at KCC don’t always give the precise truth. It’s not that they lie – they just don’t tell the whole story.
I don’t see the cutoff as the 3rd of any given month. I can imagine that could change – so I recommend people look at the month end as a watershed.
Trying to predict the ebb and flow of backlogs is hard. It is unwise to try and “nuance” the timing of submission. You could easily miss something and ruin your chances. Submit as early as possible now, given where we are in the year.
March 3, 2020 at 6:23 am
Hello, thank you for your comment. I have the same analysis and I am 23xxx and currently my documents are not approved yet. Can you please provide me the table that you have in Russia?
Thank you!

March 3, 2020 at 3:38 am
How can I change the passport details once filled in DS-260,
Actually shifted to the birth place.
March 3, 2020 at 5:00 am
You ask KCC to unlock your form. It’s in the FAQ.
March 3, 2020 at 5:15 am
I think if just 10k visas been issued till this time, in May EU or/and AF will go current.
March 3, 2020 at 5:42 pm
That is not a logical conclusion from the number issued up to now.
March 3, 2020 at 7:16 am
Again I me.Mr. Britt, thank you very much for the article, Mr. Britt now, what do you think the Euro will have an interview on September 527××?
March 3, 2020 at 9:05 am
Wait and see, maybe the EU will get current in MAY/JUNE, there are just 10k visas issued for the entire program.
March 3, 2020 at 6:59 pm
The video clearly explains why it is difficult to make a prediction.
March 3, 2020 at 7:35 pm
thanks Mr. Britt for the answer, everything will be fine
March 3, 2020 at 10:48 am
Hi BritSimon.
Hop you fine and doing well
my Case is AS1277X i received an email form KCC in 13-Feb-20 that indicate (congratulation ! our records indicate that you have submitted all requirement documentation to KCC and ready to be scheduled for an interview…) .
but unfortunately in yet i did not get my 2nl ! what is your idea Simon about this abnormal process Simon???
(Thanks for replay in advance Britsimon )
March 3, 2020 at 8:04 pm
Its not abnormal – I have described this 100 times. You got the “all required documents” in February, which was too late for scheduling in February. That means you will be scheduled in March, for an interview in May.
March 4, 2020 at 5:05 am
Thanks a lot, Simons you are really an actual hero for us
and thanks for everything you do for us.
actually, I submitted all required document to KCC in Oct-29-2019, when in 12-Feb-2020 by mistake I also received an email from KCC that describe they don’t receive any requirement document from me.
after that again i sent my document to KCC and after 8-hours they send a congratulation email…. to me that they already got my document and my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview.
so that’s why I share my confusion with you. (Thanks)
March 3, 2020 at 10:51 am
So Africa will be current in the coming months ??
March 3, 2020 at 8:04 pm
Wait and see.
March 3, 2020 at 11:00 am
Brit how does kcc decide visa bulletin progress ,how many cases to make current when they dont check documents earlier with our being current ?
March 3, 2020 at 8:08 pm
Hopefully they have enough cases which have documents already submitted.
March 3, 2020 at 8:17 pm
I live in albania and we have a forum here and a lot of people with cn 25k and above has sent their doc, but hasn’t received confirmation yet. I’m afraid that these late processing isn’t about not sending the doc. I hope this isn’t something they are doing by choice since for 4 months they had given only 10k visas. Is it possible to be a policy of us to not give all the visas available?
March 3, 2020 at 9:35 pm
No – but of course that won’t stop people assuming so.
March 3, 2020 at 9:52 pm
I hope its not by choice because if they want they can process 1000 cn per month. But since they haven’t confirmed cn higher than 23k im afraid it won’t be a satisfactory vb for high case number ?
March 3, 2020 at 1:18 pm
Hi,
Do you know why SA is going this slow? Do you know why they cannot do more than 100 interviews per month. Any thoughts? My case number is SA27xx.
Another question is, I guess interviews for september will take place way before the end of the month so that they have time to process the visas? How does this has been on previous years? Thanks
March 3, 2020 at 1:49 pm
My case number also 27500 we have chance to interview ???
March 3, 2020 at 8:26 pm
It’s partially a capacity issue, and partially what is “enough” for the region, considering the quota. If the quota is around 1500/1600 visas for SA – that meas less than 800 successful interviews for the year – so why would you expect more?
March 3, 2020 at 8:29 pm
About the September cases – there have been cases in previous years interviewed on the last day of the month – but obviously that is riskier. If a case is not approved by close of business on September 30, there is NO possibility of being approved after that date.
March 3, 2020 at 2:51 pm
Hi Brit,
In your previous video, you said that many people are not sending their doc.
Is there any possibility that EU go current soon and KCC might send interview letters to the cases that they’ve already sent all documents needed? Thank you for the videos and your assumptions 🙂
March 3, 2020 at 8:30 pm
Yes – that could happen. It’s all a guessing game – which is why “wait and see” is the best idea.
March 3, 2020 at 7:40 pm
Dear Brit Simon,
My case was scheduled for the end of April. Yesterday my CEAC status changed to Refused. Have you heard of such things? Could it be a mistake? I am awaiting an official response and hoping that they would notify me if something was wrong with the application.
Best,
Bika.
March 3, 2020 at 9:37 pm
My guess would be a mistake.
March 5, 2020 at 5:47 pm
Mr simon ,
All the cases that pass the interview after 3 march now in CEAC the state show them refused , same people said its Technicals problems but same others said that admanistrative processing changed to refused ,
What do you think why it shows like that?
March 5, 2020 at 6:31 pm
Technical problem.
https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Maintenance.aspx
March 3, 2020 at 8:45 pm
Hi Simon,
So now it’s a must that we fill in the New form you just uploaded the other day? another question is whether it is late for af33k to unlock ds 260 and do some changes considering that the case will be interviewed soon.
on a different matter, anyone from kenya who knows, how much roughly is the medical cost?
Thanks.
March 3, 2020 at 9:34 pm
Yes on the 5540.
It is not too late to unlock.
March 4, 2020 at 6:11 am
Thanks for your timely response.
March 3, 2020 at 11:23 pm
Is there someone of Eu that have received the congratulation email for processed documents? I mean people with the CN 21200 and above , ‘cause I am 27k (one of the first number ) and I haven’t received anything.
I’d like to know if KCC is starting to send this email to CN that will be current for Next VB.
March 4, 2020 at 10:09 pm
I sent an email 2 days ago for this matter and they replied by saying I should wait for my number to be current and the visa bulletin for eu for april is 21200 and my number is 24×××.
March 4, 2020 at 10:19 pm
I hoped they could arrive at least around 27k for next VB, but if they are not sending this email……
March 4, 2020 at 10:21 pm
No, eu 23xxx And also no message here.
March 5, 2020 at 10:40 am
My CN is EU23k and when I call them,I receive the same answer. They say me I have to wait until my number become current.I see the situation a little pessimistic.Hope we will receive today as it’s the last day to be included on May interviews.
March 5, 2020 at 6:21 pm
Ria, If they don’t even jump at least 24/25k, I think, it’s really pessimistic.
March 5, 2020 at 6:24 pm
Same situation here. it seems there is something weird going on in Europe. Even if they give EU a big jump it won’t have any effect, since it seems that almost no documents are approved above 21.200 at all.
March 4, 2020 at 3:07 am
any probablility that Asia would go current? thanks
March 4, 2020 at 10:56 pm
99.9% probability.
March 5, 2020 at 4:31 am
HOPEFULLY 🙂
THANKS
March 5, 2020 at 12:17 pm
Dear brit
I am AS2020107** (Nepal) can my CN will be current on upcomming VB.
Thank you
March 5, 2020 at 6:18 pm
Wait and see.
March 4, 2020 at 9:14 am
Hello brit thank you for your time and your clear explanations….l am cn eu34xxx l wanted to collect my documents earlier but l had a few delays for my husbands police certificate in Italy…….is this week early enough l am worried its late sending them… Will try my best this week to send them…thank you all the best
March 4, 2020 at 1:04 pm
I ll be join there thank you
March 4, 2020 at 3:38 pm
Hi, Simon!
The question isn’t about this post, but I was wondering if I applied for the DV2021 with my passport and I have lost it now and now apply for new one, will the new passport number get me qualified or cause any problems in the process?
Thank you!
March 4, 2020 at 11:28 pm
You may have problems if you cannot show the passport you used for entry
March 5, 2020 at 12:40 am
Hi Brit,
I’m EU3978x from Greece, will I have a chance this year?
Thank you!
March 5, 2020 at 2:40 am
Probably.
March 5, 2020 at 5:36 pm
I bet for current for EU either May or April VB with countries like Russia, Turkey or Albania on “except”.
We all know there are enough visas remaining and only a few embassies that have a possibility to get “clogged”.
Simon, do you think this sounds accomplishable?
P.S. Thank you for all your work!
March 5, 2020 at 6:31 pm
No. That won’t happen.
March 5, 2020 at 6:38 pm
Brit, why you said that?
March 5, 2020 at 6:52 pm
Experience.
Annie, I noticed you created a different login to try and publicize your group and you are switching back and forth to hide the fact that you are one person. I don’t appreciate the underhanded attempt. I also don’t think you should be advising others when you are so very new to all of this and unusually “jumpy” and confused. As I told you before, the blind leading the blind is usually a bad idea – and I have seen other examples just like this that were more harmful than helpful – and end up creating silly rumors and bad information. There are existing forums which are at least moderated by more experienced people. So – I don’t think the FB group is a good idea and I insist that you stop trying to get followers here.
March 5, 2020 at 7:36 pm
I am very sorry to have angered you, I was only trying to get to know other Europeans like me who are still waiting to receive their visa.
My intent was not to “steal” your followers, but to get to know and compare with them to find out, for example, if they had received confirmation emails of the processed documents or similar things.
The group is to confront each other, but we are all following your advice and we are all coming to your blog to keep asking you everything.
Furthermore, I am not “guiding” anyone, we comment on each other, asking each other if there is any news.
But then again, we all come to your blog and we all write to you for advice and the rest.
I really hope this didn’t make you angry, I absolutely don’t want this.
I won’t comment anymore, sorry!
March 5, 2020 at 8:46 pm
visas are many but time is not enough for everyone…
March 5, 2020 at 8:22 pm
Hi Britt.I’m sorry for my continuously questions and I want to thank you a lot for your answers. Please your opinion is very important to me.As I’ve been asking you recently about my case EU23k.My question today is:How it’s possible they didn’t send a confirmation email to me and to my friend EU22k?Also other people I knew in different forums about dv2020,with similar cn’s haven’t received yet a confirmation email.I would like if you would give me an opinion?Does this means that next VB would probably be lower than 23k?
Thanks a lot in advance.Your answers are always very helpful to me.
March 5, 2020 at 8:30 pm
The new VB will be out in about 10 days. Let’s wait for that.
March 5, 2020 at 8:31 pm
And just a reminder please.I don’t own a forum or I don’t have one.I’m just part of them to learn more about my case as it’s a new thing to me.I just read and get informed.I’m not trying to help nobody else because I need help to myself.Your job is great Brit and nobody can replace it.Thanks from my heart to all your help.
Best regards!
March 6, 2020 at 4:35 am
Hi Simon, thank you do much, you spend your time for our matters. My CN eu34xxx I need to take a interview until agus
Do you think I have a still chance?
March 6, 2020 at 8:45 pm
Yes
March 6, 2020 at 7:59 am
Brit , looking at ceac data of dv 2019,same period march last year there were same nr of visas issued 10k,so this year is almost same like last year ,and you can see that from february to march were issued aprroximately 600 visas EU like this year but than from april the progres grew rapidly so much that from one month to another were issued above 2100 visas talking for EU ,so this gives me hope for EU that will go current ,what do you think ?
March 6, 2020 at 8:50 pm
You are adding apples and oranges and coming up with the answer you want to believe. But if that makes you happy – go for it.
March 6, 2020 at 10:05 pm
that doesnt make me happy ,thats why I asked you ,because you are the one running the website ,10 points for irony ,cheers ??
March 6, 2020 at 10:56 pm
Well, perhaps you could watch the video posted above.
March 6, 2020 at 9:06 pm
Hi,
I have 27k in Eu.
Today I have been informed that many people in Eu with cn 23k,26k,29k, have received the email of processed documents.
Is it true? In this case, should I receive it too in these days?
Thanks for your work, it is really appreciate.
March 6, 2020 at 9:25 pm
That wouldn’t be a surprise.
Will you get it? I don’t know.
March 9, 2020 at 8:25 am
Yes , in africa many peoples with cn 47k have been received the confirmation of documents i think the vb will be +48k in africa
March 7, 2020 at 9:27 am
Brit may you be blessed. You take pain replying each and every one of us message, we know how hurting it is but we still and will always depend on your knowledge. Please per the videos and messages you post to us do you by any means sense a second draw in the dv 2020 even up till now? THANKS!
March 7, 2020 at 10:25 pm
There is no chance of a DV2020 second draw.
March 8, 2020 at 9:16 am
We’re more than halfway through and they can’t even handle the current amount of selectees, why in the world would you even think a 2nd draw is an option?!
March 9, 2020 at 9:19 am
Did you notice that Asia has approximately 48% refusal rate as opposed to 14% in Europe and 9% in Africa?
March 9, 2020 at 5:17 pm
Yes – travel ban.
March 10, 2020 at 7:35 am
Travel ban meaning they are not allowed into the country or their country is banned from the lottery?
March 10, 2020 at 6:44 pm
Meaning they are selectees that cannot be approved. Unless you have been living on Mars for the past 3 years you must have heard of the travel ban!
March 10, 2020 at 12:08 am
Hi brit! I sent documents in october and resent them in january ,only got an email that my ds -260 has been processed.my case number is EU47xxx and I know that I wont get confirmation until mu cn becomes current. 1.Should I renew my documents like police certificate and resend them to KCCwith new issuing date since our country PC has validity of three months? 2.if I send the renewed docs will that cause any problem or any confussion to KCC although they are same docs only with newer dates . 3.We have only one marriage certficate for me and my wife ,so we named that file like: 2020EU47xxx_myname_and_mywifesname_surname_marriage_certificate, is that ok?thank you
March 10, 2020 at 6:39 pm
1. No. The police certs are good for 12 months, but if you want you can renew them just prior to the interview.
2. See 1.
3. No problem.
March 10, 2020 at 8:37 am
Will corona virus affect and slows down new visa bulletin for asia
March 10, 2020 at 6:45 pm
Maybe.
March 11, 2020 at 11:33 am
lets see and wait for next 7 days
March 10, 2020 at 5:45 pm
Hello Brit again!
Excuse me for disturbing again with my comments but I really need your help to feel better.I saw on a group on facebook with different dv2020 winners that already all selectees with cn 23k have received the confirmation email.Am I the only one with cn 23k that haven’t received it?I sent my docs on 25 October and resend on 25 February again. What do you think about this?
Thanks in advance!
March 10, 2020 at 8:00 pm
In a few days your number will probably be current – so then KCC will have visibility to see progress on processing of your documents. So – wait a couple of weeks, then contact KCC to see if you can make June interviews.
March 11, 2020 at 10:55 am
Thank for your answer Brit.I’m just getting worried about the fact that all selectees with cn 23k have already received the confirmation email.Even them with 28-29k have received (Europe region).Am I the only one or what?Could there be any problem or something missing?I’m sorry for my questions but I feel bad right now.I feel excluded as everyone os receiving the email expect me ?
Thanks for your time you dedicate to me and to each person.God bless you Brit!
March 11, 2020 at 8:54 pm
Worrying won’t help. Do as I suggested already.
March 11, 2020 at 8:09 am
Hello Brit
I am DV2020 selectee. I am from one of the banned countries. But I have dual citizenship.
1. Can I continue the process?
2. If yes, will bringing both of my passports to the interview cause any problem?
March 11, 2020 at 8:47 pm
1. Yes
2. No problem.
March 11, 2020 at 2:45 pm
Brit again I write so that you clerify me on something.i read one of your replies that there will be no second draw for DV 2020.can you please explain to me why????
March 11, 2020 at 9:30 pm
It is too late for any second draw. In years where there has been a second draw it hapens in September or October at the latest (meaning last year).
March 11, 2020 at 3:42 pm
If EU 30K has received the mail about documents does it means that in few days when we’ll see new Visa Bulletin numbers there will be more than 30,000 ?
March 11, 2020 at 9:30 pm
No, you cannot make that assumption.
March 11, 2020 at 10:13 pm
Hello brits I am proud of you you give me very nice information it helps me to get strong and confident thank you very much God bless you my interview was yesterday my visa is issued with my husband I will collect it next weeks as they told us I hope I will share my interview experience very soon thank you for your idea
March 11, 2020 at 10:33 pm
Glad it went well!
March 12, 2020 at 11:06 pm
Hi birt thanks for what you do. I have a question, my case number is 2020sa39xx and I am a little worried because in previous years in my region it does not exceed 2000, do you think I have a chance?
March 12, 2020 at 11:37 pm
Yours is one of the highest numbers, and there is obviously a great deal of risk for your case number.
March 13, 2020 at 7:20 pm
Hey sir
I passed the interview on March 9th,and I get visa approved but the status still shows ready
Is that normal
Thanks
March 14, 2020 at 5:21 am
Yes. Be patient.
March 18, 2020 at 9:17 pm
Hello Britsimon,
I was in United State as F1 visa in 2014. I did my Master degree from USA. Mean while, 2018 October, I lost my wallet and SSN when I was back to My country Nepal. I think, it was Walmart or airport. i went back Nepal. I selected Dv in may, 2019. My visa was approved and now i am in Florida since march10,2020. I check my credit report the debt is more then $35000. My wife already got SSN but i did not get it.
So, can I apply for new SSN ? How should I start my new credit history. I checked my credit score. It is down 543. Please, Give me a possible idea which I can get rid of those financial debt and will get new social security number.
March 18, 2020 at 11:35 pm
I have no idea.
April 1, 2020 at 2:05 am
I believe the refreshed ceac data for April 1st has just been published
July 30, 2020 at 9:41 pm
I cant login to my email that I used for my original entry. When I submitted ds260 I provided a new email. Where will KCC will notify me about sending the dicuments?
July 30, 2020 at 10:48 pm
The new email
