At Noon Eastern time on May 6th the results for DV2024 will be available. I have already had people wondering why they can’t check their results now – but it is not open for checking yet. So – you can use the timer below to know when results will be available.
Just remember, the easiest prediction for me to make is that the website will immediately crash and run slowly meaning it will be frustrating to check for the first few hours. This is a slow process, there is no need to panic about checking if you were selected!
For those that check and don’t know what the message means, please watch this video:

Hi Simon
what is the likelihood of this 2024AF107xxx to be interviewed ? like which month my be become current?
May 25, 2023 at 09:16
We don’t know how many people are selected, so your number doesn’t mean anything right now. We will know more in July/August.

Hi Simon, mine is 2024AF599XX is there hope for the number

Probably. It’s not a bad number.

Hi Simon, first time applying and your content has been invaluable, so thank you! I got lucky and was selected with my case number being 2024OC04XX. I need to get a birth certificate and my passport is due for renewal next year. Should I proceed with the DS-260 and update my birth certificate and passport details when they arrive?
May 7, 2023 at 09:12
Yes exactly – great number – congratulations. If you submit your DS260 fast you might get an interview in October/November.
May 8, 2023 at 01:55
Thanks for your reply! So just to confirm, I should submit my DS260 ASAP and then unlock it in a few weeks when I have my birth certificate and new passport? Or should I simply update those changes at my interview? I’m not entirely sure how quickly I should be trying to submit it and if waiting a few weeks for the updated information is a good idea or not.
May 8, 2023 at 10:37
Your birth cert won’t change anything, and the new passport can simply be presented at the interview.

Hi Simon, this is the second time I have been randomly selected from the Oceania region. The first time my case number never went current as it was too high (I can’t remember what it was). This time around it is OC37XX. Should I assume this is too high again and just not bother submitting a DS260?
Thank you.

Hi Brit, 2024AF0005729x winner. Sure it’s a high. Would you advise to wait till early next year before submitting DS260? Regards
May 6, 2023 at 23:23
Nope – I would submit soon. It’s not high compared to some of the numbers I have heard (double your range).
May 6, 2023 at 16:48
Hoping for the best this year.
May 6, 2023 at 12:13
Hi Simon! Have you heard/seen anything thus far about OC numbers…. But most years they do not pass OC00002800… My partner has just won, with a case number of 2024OC000045XX Is it just me or does this seem CRAZY high for Oceania?
May 6, 2023 at 13:04
Holy moly – that is CRAZY high. It doesn’t mean there are 4500 real cases in front of him, but still it sounds nuts. I suggest you hold off of submitting the DS260 for a while if you do not want to declare immigrant intent.

Hey Simon, ever seen EU numbers going up to 65k? Have someone with such number in my telegram chat
May 6, 2023 at 23:08
Just about to publish a video about that.

I need my mom to be with me
I dont get it why she doesnt win
shes 59 is it possible they dont let her win cause of age?????
its been 10 years i play a lottery for her as well and no results
im so so mad
thye say its a random process but now I started to doubt it
how do i get my mama here
shes LL ALONE IN europe
i need her to be LEGALL here not some refugeee
May 6, 2023 at 11:48
It is random, but the chance of selection is about 1 in 100 years.
May 6, 2023 at 11:57
is there a way to get her a tourist visa fter a refusal?
since shes my parent in 2.5 years Im gonna apply for a citizenship and then Ill be eligible to apply for a green card for her (family reunion) which is 1-2 years a its a faster for parents
therfre I dont get it why they refused a via for her knowing shes my mother and she will come tO USA anyway????
they refused her when a war has strted thats crazy so selfish
May 6, 2023 at 13:05
The fastest way will be once you get citizenship. That’s how the process works…
As for tourist visas – well having you there is not an advantage – its the opposite. But she has to show ties to the home country, which at the moment is very hard of course.
