It is always interesting to read interview experience accounts. Most interviews last a couple of minutes and have just a few questions about where you plan to move etc. However, occasionally I actually am more interested in the ones where the interviewer delves a bit deeper. So – this well written interview experience from “Mosh” in Kenya caught my eye and offers some good education for anyone preparing for their interview. Have a read of the interview – and consider the questions asked – and then read my comments about the questions.
interview experience
my wife is the principal applicant entered lottery as single, was three months pregnant. submitted ds 260 mid October as married and had a baby born late may.

wife: brrr
he types for a few minutes then tells us congratulations all of your visas have been approved. asks us if we are happy then returns our original documents except pcc and pp. gives us green sheet containing instruction on how to register with dhl and pick our pp
OK – so why am I quoting this. Well in this case the couple had a customary marriage (common in Kenya and other parts – but sometimes difficult to prove). This slightly unusual scenario might have caused some doubt for the CO – so the CO (obviously an experience interviewer) decided to get a little more info. First the question about guests (sometimes couples will show photographs showing the guests and friends/community celebrating the customary marriage). Then there were a series of questions probably asked quite quickly (“rapid fire” I call it) which might seem irrelevant. The questions themselves are not important (by that I mean the amount of money someone pays their nanny cannot affect the DV process), but what is important is that you can answer these “rapid fire” questions naturally without hesitation. Your confidence in preparing paperwork, and being honest about everything relaxes you – and to an experienced interviewer they get a feel for those that are relaxed/confident and therefore truthful as opposed to someone who has something to hide.
So – I always tell people – tell the truth in all the forms and at the interview, be prepared (over prepared is better than under prepared) and relax. Most interviews are not as detailed as this and there is NO POINT trying to prepare for the questions. The point is the answers should be honest and your answers. If you do that – you will be fine.

Hi,
I have one question that;
When someone gets in USA and he/she is a green card holder. Could he or she apply for marriage? i mean that when someone gets his visa and then he immigrates to USA then could he do his marriage before getting passport and invite his wife to USA?
September 4, 2015 at 01:24
Yeh it’s an F2A Family sponsored visa. Check Visa Bulletin for queue times.
September 3, 2015 at 23:00
Thanks, I was planning to document my interview but the happiness didn’t complet since they put in AP and I’m still in it, any way I will try. PS: English is my third language :); I sent you a link yesterday
September 3, 2015 at 23:21
what about work experience interview experience
September 4, 2015 at 00:01
I’ll see if I can dig one out.
September 4, 2015 at 01:42
hi brit
i want ask a simple question
can i ask for unlock ds260 after i received 2NL
Because i want update my passport info
September 4, 2015 at 01:47
No – once you have your 2NL it is too late.
September 4, 2015 at 01:42
Brits I submitted my ds 260 this 28th August. How do I check whether my ds 260 has reached KCC even after receiving my submission confirmation.
September 4, 2015 at 01:47
It has reached them – its electronic – there the moment you pressed submit.
September 4, 2015 at 03:11
So when am I likely to get interviwed? My case no. Is 2016Af01++ and DS 260 submitted on 28th August
September 4, 2015 at 06:07
If your case number is 100 that is obviously a low number – but your late DS260 submission means you will probably not have an interview until February.
September 4, 2015 at 06:25
Hi. Brit.
Thanks for updating us about the kenyan case. Am asking what was purpose he was to told to pay 990 dollars?. May u can elaborate. Thanks
September 4, 2015 at 06:30
$330 per applicant for the DV fee. That is normal – everyone pays it.
September 4, 2015 at 06:33
Thanks. Understood. Thought he was the only one forgot that he was with his spouse and kid.
September 4, 2015 at 06:27
Previous comment.May be u can elaborate i mean.
September 4, 2015 at 10:35
Hi Sir,
I have already sat for an interview which was on August 28, 2015 because i am an applicant for the DV 2015, after all the question and answer, the Counselor told me that My Evidence of Financial Support I-134 original, singed, 2014 taxes, evidence of income was my only problem, and I was reschedule for another interview in mid September, my questions are:
1. Should i provide a new I-134 form?
2. should i change it?
3. can I present more than 3 different I-134 form to increase my chance of getting the visa?
4. Will I still be interview or just to present the document?
please i need answers and an advise to my situation because my time is really running out.
September 4, 2015 at 10:56
Hi sir,
I submitted the DS-260 on July 24. At that time, I didn’t enlist my educational qualification because the result of second year of higher secondary education wasnot out and luckily ‘result waiting’ option was there. And, its been a few days the results are out and I suceeded. Now, should I unlock the form or I can show the results to the CO during interview? I think the latter would be fine to get 2nl in time……. but what if the ds-260 without educational qualifications would be rejected?
Thanks
September 4, 2015 at 16:07
They won’t reject the DS260 without an interview – but it is better to correct it anyway.
January 5, 2016 at 09:44
Hi Briton, my problem is I have 3 kids with a woman with me but not ligally married until November. Because we are not ligally married, I do not include her in the ds260 form that i submitted. Now my interview date is early February and I now recently did customary marriage November with the certificate with me now. What should I do now? My interview is at ghana embassy
January 5, 2016 at 19:35
First thing you should understand is that Accra are very strict and will deny you if you cannot provide good documentation to their satisfaction.
The next thing I would like to check. Did you enter the three children on the original eDV lottery entry. If you didn’t you will be disqualified.
You should have unlocked and corrected your DS260 as soon as you were married in November. Because you did not do that, and now you are scheduled, you have made it more difficult – so you will have to contact the embassy and see how they can add her to your case.
January 5, 2016 at 21:15
You mean I should inform the embassy about it before the interview date? Moreover, I added my kids already in the programme
January 6, 2016 at 00:32
Yes.
September 4, 2015 at 16:10
You are not really clear about what you have already provided. You just need one I-134 with a sponsor that meets the standards and the supporting documents (1040/W2/Payslips & passport). Then follow the instructions the embassy gave you.
September 4, 2015 at 15:08
Hi
I made a small stupid mistake in DS260. My birth city as in birth certificate is Bharatpokhari, Kaski, Nepal and I wrote Pokhara, Kaski, Nepal. I am already in US and going to do AOS. Can I correct this while at interview? Do I need to unlock my DS260 for this case and correct it? I am current for October and already collecting my documents for AOS.
Thanks
September 4, 2015 at 20:29
That is not a big deal. You can correct it at interview.
September 4, 2015 at 16:36
Hi mr Simon. First, thanks for all your tremendous efforts you make to respond to all of us. Second, I got a question for you. When someone’s visa is approved and the status became “issued”, are there any more processings or procedures to undergo? I’m asking because it’s been like 15 days ago when I had my interview but still waiting for my travelling package. I called the consulate and they told me that my package was sent 3 days ago to the shipping company. When I contacted the shipping company they said that indeed they received the package but not yet authorized to hand it to me. NB: most IV applicants I met there had the same answer. Is this normal that the shipping company keeps our passports until the consulate tells them when to hand them out? Thanks
September 4, 2015 at 18:36
I’ve never heard of the shipping companies saying that – but relax, I’m sure you will get it soon.
September 4, 2015 at 17:03
what is domicile document about is it applicable to DV CASES… i have seen a case which was not diversity visa but family visa. asked about domicile document from the sponsor ..
September 4, 2015 at 18:34
No idea.
September 4, 2015 at 19:57
hello MR brit
i have another question about sponsor
in my interview 2 september the officer consular put my case ADMINISTRATIV PROCESSING and tell me to give document verifying sponsor`s salary yes i can do this document but the problem in my i-134 the sponsor`s salary was 22672 dollars in the years ,but the document who verifying salary now has another salar(19000 dollars in year) because my sponsor change his job,
the question is ; what i give to the embassy, the document verifying sponsor`s salary only.or the document verifying sponsor`s salary + another i-134 with a new job and salar for sponsor.؟؟؟؟؟؟؟
please Mr brit help me
thank you in advance
September 4, 2015 at 20:27
That is a low salary. If neither you NOR the sponsor have any spouse or children, it might just be enough – but if the combined family number (you, the sponsor and all spouses/children between you) is 3 or more the salary would then be too low.
September 4, 2015 at 21:58
hello
my sponsor unmarried he is Lone
September 4, 2015 at 22:02
OK – and you are single. It is “just” enough. Go ahead and submit it with the proof.
September 4, 2015 at 20:32
I would love if you can make a post about common and unusual mistaked that can lead to denial of the visas issuance
Thanx
September 4, 2015 at 21:37
Hi Simon
Can you help me? Need your advice. In 2012 – 2013 I worked and lived in Kosovo, Pristina (1 year and 2 weeks). I know that I need the Police Certificate. When a friend of mine did the request to have my Police Certificate, they told here that I will not have the document, because I never had a residence there. I have paid the local taxes, but that don’t convince them to issue a police certificate to me. Please, what can I do? Do I need to unlock my ds and erase the year in Kosovo?
September 4, 2015 at 21:41
Apply in writing – so that they either respond with the police cert or you get their response in writing saying they won’t give you the PCC. You can then show that to the embassy.
For those not present in Kosovo: After having completed the relevant forms for application, the interested applicant should attach a copy of his/her identification document and send both to the Kosovo Police Directorate for International Cooperation (ILECU) via e-mail at [email protected]. A close family member in Kosovo can also apply on behalf of the applicant..
September 4, 2015 at 21:45
Thank you Simon. You’re an angel
September 5, 2015 at 16:42
May I ask something else? My cousin who will support me in states is preparing the I – 134 and other stuff. But he changed his company 3 months ago. What’s your advice? How can he fill the form?
September 5, 2015 at 17:01
The form will be mainly based on his 1040/W2 for the previous year. But he can show current payslips too.
September 21, 2015 at 17:27
Sorry, Simon, where can I find the application form to send than to Kosovo Police Directorate. (Cit: After having completed the relevant forms for application, the interested applicant should attach a copy of his/her identification document and send both to the Kosovo Police Directorate for International Cooperation (ILECU) via e-mail)
September 21, 2015 at 18:30
I don’t know – I have never need a police certificate from Kosovo. I would suggest you email ILECU.
September 21, 2015 at 19:05
I did, but they suggest me to go to Pristina personally. I thought you knew something more about it. Anyway, thank you for your advice.
September 5, 2015 at 07:05
Dear Sim. The same case for me and my spouse, we stayed in a west African country for about 7 years teaching but returned to our native country exactly 10 years today. I went to the embassy of that country and asked for police clearances but they respond they don’t do it and they have never done it in the past as it involves finger prints and the like which they are not doing here in my native country. The embassy officer said my native clearance sufficed but they can’t do it. Your thought please.
September 5, 2015 at 14:34
Check the instructions for that country in the dvselectee reciprocity pages. Do whatever it suggests.
September 5, 2015 at 14:07
Hi Mr. Brit my interview on 8 September. i ‘ m so worried about this . i have a problem my full name is A -B- C- D -E i write it in my 1NL as A-B-C-E-E
i typed my last name twice instead of writing my 4th and 5th name my interview at Cairo embassy there is any problem ?
September 5, 2015 at 14:24
Did you correct the mistake in your DS260? At some embassies that would get you disqualified. At Cairo you should be OK.
September 5, 2015 at 15:11
yes i correct it at DS260
September 5, 2015 at 15:18
there is any problem ?
September 5, 2015 at 15:48
So it should be OK. Only the CO can decide.
September 5, 2015 at 15:51
The CO may refuse me because this mistake ?
September 5, 2015 at 16:02
Of course that is possible – but I don’t think that will happen.
September 5, 2015 at 17:36
pray for me because i am so worried about this

September 5, 2015 at 20:05
Hi Simon need you expert help. Paid the UCIS fee in August, did activation in August and currently awaiting cards, GC and SSN. Checked on the update for GC site and found a note that all those who paid on or before August 31 cannot acess their login online but there is a different link to check status. The new site is asking for receipt number and I can’t seem to find a receipt number on my application. Any suggestions?
September 5, 2015 at 23:39
I’m not sure where you are checking that. You could try this – http://www.uscis.gov/uscis-elis/uscis-immigrant-fee
However, your GC could take around 1 to 2 months to arrive. The SSN comes from the ssa office – if you don’t have that within 2 weeks you should go to the SSA – not having an SSN is much more impactful than waiting for the GC.
September 5, 2015 at 20:55
Hi Brit
I am a DV 2016 winner with case no. 2016AF00236XX and have already submitted my 260. I now have a job which i did not include in the form because i was at the time on probation. Is it necessary that i ask KCC to unlock my form?
September 5, 2015 at 23:35
You won’t incur a delay for that change – so why not unlock and make the form right.
September 8, 2015 at 10:17
Hi Brit
Thanks for the advice. I’ve email KCC to unlock my ds260 and they’ve reply me that they received my email. I logged on to my ds260 after i received the reply but was not able to make any change. My question is that is KCC going to email me when they’ve unlock my ds260?
September 8, 2015 at 10:32
Yes. The email that says they received the mail was automatically sent. You will get another email when they unlock.
September 8, 2015 at 23:18
Thanks Brit…
September 5, 2015 at 23:07
Hi Simon ,just wanna say thanks you very for your advices my statut change AP to Issued, so I have my visa , but I have a question.
I will get my graduate here the 20 november 2015 ,and my my visa expire the 20 january. I will travel the 5 December 2015 It,s a problem ? I can pay Uscis before my travell. Please am waiting for your advice or if you have link about this question.
September 5, 2015 at 23:32
If the visa expires in January, travelling in December is fine!
September 6, 2015 at 10:21
Thanks Simon. How do I find my receipt number? Can’t seem to find it anywhere
September 6, 2015 at 12:32
Hi
I also have a question, I made a request to KCC to unlock our DS-260. Last year I stayed on a visit to my brother who lives in Germany where my stay there lasted 14 days. Is it necessary to mention it in the form DS-260 as address ?
After review our ds-260 in the question for parents concretely in the question for mother SURNAMES AT BIRTH , I am responding with the CURRENT SURNAMES.
Do you think that my interview will be postponed due to the reopening of DS-260. My file number is EU00022XXX. I’m very concerned about this.
I am not current yet but I want to know if the reopening of DS-260 at this time will cause delay for an interview. Will processed DS-260 from the beginning?
This is the third time I have made a request to reopen the DS-260. For the second time I’ve completed the May 29, 2015.
Thank you
September 6, 2015 at 13:58
I replied in the forum. No you don’t need to list a vacation.
Your unlock won’t cause delay.
September 6, 2015 at 14:52
I saw your reply and thank you for this
September 7, 2015 at 10:53
hi brits ! I do not understand what happens to me. I just sent my form DS-260 but my spouse still “under review” what to do because I can not fill in the form with my spouse status. I reminds that my form is complete. i need your help please
September 7, 2015 at 15:05
I’m not sure what you have done to cause that. It sounds like your form (or your spouses) wasn’t submitted correctly. You might need to contact KCC.
September 9, 2015 at 07:59
The same happened to me. I wrote to KCC and they resolve the problem.
September 7, 2015 at 13:21
What the standard of sequence of status via CEAC after CO approval , Ready, AP, Issue or ready, Issue, thanks in advance
September 7, 2015 at 14:57
Ready>AP (sometimes)>Issued
September 7, 2015 at 15:37
Thank you for your efforts but I still have two questions
1- based on what sometimes being AP then issue
2- AP after CO approval not like that which obtained during the interview for missing documents
Please answer my questions ASAP ,thanks
September 7, 2015 at 19:08
1. Nothing specific – probably just embassy procedures.
2. What I was talking about is the brief period of AP after approval. But there are other types of AP – some for missing documents, sometimes for background checks. Those types either change to issued or refused.
September 7, 2015 at 19:37
Thanks for your reply, it meains that the AP after CO Approval should be changed to issue no way to be AP for long periods like the other cases that turned during interview
September 8, 2015 at 04:06
Well every case is different. Some people have had real AP after they were told they were approved.
September 7, 2015 at 14:30
Simon,
I had my interview last week and officer said I should bring the police certificate from my mother country and i bring it today and give it to the officer thin when I enter my CN on the ceac website my application is on Administrative Processing. Is this a problem? Or is it just evidence that my application is being processed and finalised?
Thanking you,
September 7, 2015 at 14:56
This was a basic requirement – so the CO is simply asking for what was required. The case will be in AP until you provide the police cert. Get it done as soon as possible, a delay will risk you visa.
September 7, 2015 at 15:12
I am already submitted the police certificate today and still my application is on Administrative Processing.
What is that’s mean.
September 7, 2015 at 15:25
It will take some time to review the document and update the case.
September 7, 2015 at 16:52
hello Mr brit

September 8, 2015 at 04:08
Ghana is strict. so correct the paperwork through official channels if possible, if not possible then you can only hope.
September 8, 2015 at 05:23
what abt unlocking de form n remove de university as ma highest qualification??
September 8, 2015 at 11:18
I have emailed you to say don’t do that.
September 8, 2015 at 04:11
I don’t know.
September 7, 2015 at 18:39
Please, at my interview at London, the Co didn’t answer any questions all that he said was he needed my school testimonials with my date of birth on it and as such he can’t issue the visa now and returned my passport with a blue paper is; 122(g). I checked my status and its on AP. Please, why is that, at the final stage, most applicants are put on AP?
September 8, 2015 at 04:09
Most applicants ARE NOT put on AP. If your paperwork had been ready, you would have been fine.
September 7, 2015 at 18:59
Hallo Brit,
What is the procedure to unlock the DS260 form?
How long does it take before it is unlocked?
Does one get notified if it is unlocked?
Thanks
September 7, 2015 at 19:10
https://britsimonsays.com/faq/how-do-i-unlock-my-ds260/
Takes a few days and they will send an email.
September 8, 2015 at 05:24
Hello Brit,
Once again thanks a lot for all of the information you have provided to help DV selectees.
Do you have some interview experience of the US embassy in Paris to share?
I’m a native from France and it seems like not a lot of people from here shared their stories 🙁
September 8, 2015 at 11:18
I don’t know of any experience post in Paris – but their interviews are much like others in Western EU. THey are slightly strict – just make sure you are well prepared including financials.
September 9, 2015 at 13:46
Thanks anyway Brit. I wish there were more people from Western Europe sharing their experiences. I’ll let you know how it goes for me.
I’m a computer science student – my goal is to find a job in IT in the US – and I have a sponsor. We are both single without kids. Assuming he meets financial requirements, would it be okay for the consular officer?
Another question: I’ve looked at the I134 form and there’s a field ‘Relationship to Sponsor’. Is it fine to have a friend as a sponsor?
September 9, 2015 at 13:52
Yes your friend is an acceptable sponsor.
September 8, 2015 at 06:25
Interview @ London
Please, basically school testimonials are not part of the requirements why will the Co be asking for it and as such putting my me on AP? Moreover I had submitted all my school credentials even I added my school transcript. It’s very obvious, and I don’t understand considering the limited time available.
September 8, 2015 at 11:15
Proof of education to a certain level IS part of the requirements. Regardless of whether you understand or not – that is what the CO has requested so I hope you are providing that other wise you will not get your visa.
September 8, 2015 at 11:04
Hi.pls am dv 2015 winner.my interview will be on Friday 11 Sept. am with my wife .my sponsors is single with total amount of $30794 USD live in Philadelphia.it’s enough?thanks
September 8, 2015 at 11:10
Yes
September 8, 2015 at 13:04
HI Brit my friend just submited his ds260 af 7xxx on july 1st in which i calling to his birth certeficate he is 35 years of age and his mom is telling him now no u are 43 years which is 1973 his birth year so what can this guy do now plz Brit give us some advices about this to avoid the problem at interview.plz
September 8, 2015 at 15:39
So you are trying to say he is 8 years older than his birth certificate says he is. Did he not think it was odd when he was the only 10 year old he know that was shaving every day? This just does not sound credible – and yes I suspect he might well have a problem at interview….
September 8, 2015 at 13:41
Brit,i still av a question concerning my son….can i say ‘yes’ that i av a child in the DS260 form n fill his details but i wnt be immigrating with him but on a later date? And on the interview day, will i convince the CO why his name wasnt on the initial entry…bcoz i was unwell and my friend played for me but lost my son’s details on his way. This mistake is so so common Brit, when playing the DV,most single parents forget to put their child on the initial entry…even when am nt immigrating with him now,how can i totally deny his existence? Its nt clear Brit n a bit unfair on their part..
Waiting
September 8, 2015 at 15:36
No doubt this sort of thing is why there are so many denials in embassies like Accra.
The instructions clearly state this.
“Failure to list all children who are eligible will result in disqualification of the principal applicant and refusal of all visas in the case at the time of the visa interview.”
Was that unclear? Is it unfair for them to expect you to read the instructions, or is it unfair to enforce the simple rule they wrote?
September 8, 2015 at 14:57
Hello Brit.
I have a question.
I am a bit confused.
My Interview date is October 6th.
My son’s passport will expire on the 24th of July 2016.

September 8, 2015 at 15:31
You don’t have to renew – but I personally would do so.
September 9, 2015 at 14:54
thank you.i have decided on renewing and will just let the consular officer know of this change at the time of the interview.

HI Brit my friend is telling me now that he is going to unlock and proses his bc & pp to meet the right time will this be a good advice for him?
September 8, 2015 at 18:06
Well he should obviously have accurate documents… but whether that will save his DV case or not, I don’t know.
September 8, 2015 at 16:54
Thnx anyways Brit…guess there’s nothing more to do..finally done with this issue….very clear now!
September 9, 2015 at 09:15
Hi Brit
I went through my interview yesterday But these were the problem:
The consular said all of document is OK but my affidavit of support income is low But she mistakenly make few mistake…She said my affidavit has a household of seven person but my affidavit has only 2 person partially depending on him with a income 46974.. He petition two in 2013,2014 but on their own now, send affidavit for two person but on their own now, and two person partially depending on him..Brit..Can I mail the consular affair section to really explain this or file another affidavit of Support…or just let it go because of the time?

It sounds like the CO is adding the people from the earlier I-134s. You cannot argue that.
So – how was it left? Are you on AP? Did they ask you to produce another I-134?
September 9, 2015 at 11:22
I was wondering about the qualifying work experience.
It is required at least 2 years of work experience, but it doesn’t say at what point, is it at the time of the interview, when you were randomly selected or at the time your DS260 was processed.
When I initially applied for the DV Lottery, I didn’t have 2 years of work experience, but now that I am before the interview, I have 2 years of continuous work experience as a high skilled worker.
What is your opinion on this matter?
September 9, 2015 at 13:56
By the time of the interview.
September 9, 2015 at 13:26
Hello Brit ,
I would love to get your opinion how safe is my case number 2016AF352**

Hi Mr.Brit my visa case now at AP there is any problem ?
September 9, 2015 at 16:16
while the CO told me congratulation i approved the visa !
September 9, 2015 at 16:30
Often, when the CO approves the case in the interview, the case will show AP for a day or two in CEAC before it turns to issued.
September 9, 2015 at 16:36
yes my interview was yesterday … there is any problem or may i will be refused?
September 9, 2015 at 17:13
plz Mr. Brit can reply
September 9, 2015 at 18:24
I just explained! “Normally” this AP only shows for a day or two. But – obviously until the visa is in your hand you have some risk.
September 10, 2015 at 09:33
some risk !!!! even the CO approved the visa ??

September 10, 2015 at 10:10
Please after submitting all your schools certificates, transcript, school results and yet still the CO asked for school documents, what is the CO impairing ?
September 10, 2015 at 13:35
Sounds like he doubts the documents in some way…
September 10, 2015 at 19:29
Thanks to your advice Britsimon, I successfully got my Visa approved at the embassy in Nairobi. They just asked me my marital status, the year I finished High School and where I was intending to go and live at in the USA. Once again thank you and continue with the same good heart.
September 10, 2015 at 19:55
Congratulations!
September 10, 2015 at 20:09

September 11, 2015 at 06:56
@Jakotweyo may i have your contact or contact me via [email protected]. I’ll do my interview at Nairobi Embassy. Thanks
September 10, 2015 at 19:38
i Have been excited and nervous about my upcoming interview and so i keep going over and over my documents to make sure everything is in order. I just noticed that some of our documents have our full name meaning first name, middle name and surname and some only have name and surname. i am hoping this will not be and issue as i only have 2 more weeks before i leave for the embassy location. What do you think Brit?
September 10, 2015 at 19:54
Many people get worried about documents such as education documents etc. The name proof is established by your birth cert and passport. Hopefully they should match the name on the eDV entry and on the DS260. If so – you should be fine.
September 10, 2015 at 19:53
hello Mr brit
i do my interview in 2 september 2015 the consular officer put my case administrative processing .
i give the document who officer consular demand
and now i chek my status in ceac it s change to ready
wha s that mean please .
September 10, 2015 at 20:17
hello Mr brit
status change from administrative processing to reasdy what is mean
thank you in advance
September 10, 2015 at 20:26
That isn’t really a logical update -0 but it sometimes happens. It may signify the end of AP – but now a visa needs to be allocated to the case before the case can be “issued”. More waiting….
September 10, 2015 at 20:34
thank you Mr brit
i am waiting………………my god help me
September 11, 2015 at 08:04
Hi Simon,
I am a DV 2016 winner.
I’m from Congo and I’m planning to change my Nationality and Last Name to a German one.
will I have some problems at the interview or should I just bring all my docemunts that I changed my Last name and Nationality?
What would you do?
September 11, 2015 at 18:23
Obviously, if you make a change such as that you would have to provide proof of the change.
September 11, 2015 at 16:27
have anybody with wrong date of birth ( year of birth) been interviewed? please keep me updated.
September 11, 2015 at 17:11
The wrong year of birth won’t normally cause disqualification as long as 1. the error is corrected on the DS260 and 2. This and other errors don’t lead the CO to believe there is some attempt to get a visa by fraud.
