I posted these two videos last night, the first is a status update about the ban and embassy reopening. That is important for DV2020 and DV2021 selectees.
The second video is applicable to DV2020 selectees.

Dear Simon
If I join 2.0 mandamus lawsuit, will I get a good chance/increase my chance for an interview? (IF ban lifted and won the lawsuit, embassies re-open) My CN 2020AS29***. I’ve submitted DS260 in may 2019 and my doc. many times, but didn’t receive email confirmation. I am in group No. 5 according to your video.
July 21, 2020 at 17:54
As my recent explanations make clear, if you are not even “ready for scheduling” the time left is too short.
July 21, 2020 at 20:05
The Curtis offers 2.0 lawsuit aimed to have hearings in early September. My case was ready for scheduling. Is it technically possible to fit in less than 4 weeks period? Mean to push Embassy to set interview?
Does the 2.0 mandamus lawsuit aim to lobby dv2020 extention in Congress?
July 21, 2020 at 23:44
You should ask Curtis these questions.
July 20, 2020 at 15:19
Dear Simon
We are from Central Asia Tajikistan my friend win GC2020 last year what about they interview and visa will be
July 20, 2020 at 20:52
Oh yeah – your friend. Of course. That’s completely clear.

I don’t know anything about your case.

Goodbye my hard work and dream…I had Visa before suspension, wrote embassy if I can travel they said yes.. sold everything went to airport today but was refused boarding saying DV visa can’t enter USA.
July 19, 2020 at 20:01
That is incorrect. Unless they are referring to some other ban (such as the Schengen area restriction), you should have been able to point out that your valid visa allows entry to the USA. Print the EO, get something from the embassy.
July 23, 2020 at 13:12
Thanks Brit for all your help and advice. It helped me to take a bold step and create a hell time for Brussels airline ( they didnt even say reason we can’t travel is their airline passes through Europe rather they just said dv is not amongst the visa types allowed to enter the states) thanks to one person’s comment I read here on how to travel from Cameroon using Ethopia airline . At the end of the day I and my family have arrive.
All my African fellows with visa. Do not use Brussels, go via ethopian airline. If you paid to Brussels….demand they refund(that takes time) or just act a little radical like me and demand they pay your flight at another agency
July 23, 2020 at 18:01
Glad you made it!
July 18, 2020 at 14:16
what is the chance of getting visa by those whose cases are in AP?
July 18, 2020 at 21:36
We have to wait and see.
July 17, 2020 at 21:35
Hello brit i’m in the 5th group that you mentioned and i just wanted to say thank you for your guidance you’ve been very helpful every step of the way i’m greatful for you and this blog thank you so much?
July 17, 2020 at 21:22
It’s time to move everybody and stop thinking about American dream anymore. This country is leaded by white racist and stupid president, in order to make him become a president, only with the hands of evil people to vote for him. The country is going down during his presidency. The politicians bet their own people”s lives for their own sake during pandemic. American are infected and death everyday. I don’t think it is heaven there, as I know most of American move out of this country to Canada and Europe. Just imagine if Trump win his presidency again and how the situation in the country is? If you still believe in God, just to know that God will never send you to hell. Be grateful with where you are. XoXo
July 17, 2020 at 20:04
hello simon my cn: 30 ***. I filled my ds 260 in December I received the ok of my documents in February. I was waiting for 2NL in May. 1- can I expect an interview before September 30
July 17, 2020 at 21:11
You should not “expect” anything – you need to wait and see.
July 17, 2020 at 18:04
Good news I saw in the AILA page, the litigation posting!

July 17, 2020 at 16:24
Dear Brit,
Thanks for doing this great work. You are our hope. I have 2 questions:
1. Has the lawsuit been filed? Today is Friday.
2. When will we know the result about TRO? After one week?
July 17, 2020 at 18:07
Yeah, we thank and appreciate his relentless work. Brit name will surely be written in our book of history as the mentor to our road of success.
The Almighty Allaah(the creator of creations) is our absolute hope, and we strongly believe the creator of creations will grant us success in this struggle.
Comrade, let’s all put fingers across for God to grant the lawsuit success and us all the visas in our passport.
May God(Allaah) bless us all.
July 17, 2020 at 19:06
1. Yes
2. Wait and see.
July 17, 2020 at 15:40
Hi Brit,
Has the AILA filled the lawsuit, As they said to do it today the 17/7/2020?
Thanks very much for your outstanding efforts.
July 17, 2020 at 19:05
Yes
July 17, 2020 at 19:40

July 17, 2020 at 18:47
All you can do is wait and see what happens.
July 17, 2020 at 12:51
really just like my case Mr dv2020A … God help us to all those waiting for the famous OK
July 17, 2020 at 11:59
Hi Simon,
Please advise, what group are if we have the confirmation email from KCC if the required documents approved and only waiting the 2NL?
Thank you
July 17, 2020 at 18:44
Ready for scheduling.
July 17, 2020 at 11:46
my case is current in april visa bulletine…but didnt get the 2nd letter….i think im in 5th group…there is no chance for us….
July 17, 2020 at 09:37
Hello, Mr .Brit, that is, if they wins the Ailla lawsuit, the same who did not receive the confirmation letter, they have no other chance?
July 17, 2020 at 18:42
It is not clear cut – but the time problem is obvious.
July 17, 2020 at 08:07
1. Is it hopeless for my friend, then? He submitted his DS-260 form while back and has a case number but no interview has been scheduled. I think this puts him in group 5.
2. Is there any possibility he could get an interview?
3. Could he maybe be one of the people who they DO interview? You said they would not get around the everyone, which implies they will get to some people, at least. Thank you.
July 17, 2020 at 08:09
ETA: He would be a 2021 winner, as he applied last September or October, if that matters.
July 17, 2020 at 18:40
Oh for goodness sake!
Then he is a 2021 case – the deadlines we are talking about are for DV2020.
July 17, 2020 at 18:39
Does he have a ready for scheduling email or not?
There is not enough time for every case. They may have more than enough already ready for scheduling – and the ready for scheduling deadline I have made clear for a couple of months now was the end of last month.
July 17, 2020 at 07:48
Hello Brit,
I am not scheduled for interview about DV2020 and my case number is 2020*****41*** Africa region, do I have a chance to the next process? Thank you.
July 17, 2020 at 18:37
Please watch the videos above.
July 17, 2020 at 04:27
I believe the lawsuit has been filed, posted by Greg Siskind on Twitter.

July 17, 2020 at 07:58
Please what about DV2021 ? IT THEY HAVE CHANCE TO GET They procédure go UP ?
July 17, 2020 at 18:35
No, that is another lawsuit.
The AILA suit was filed today in the DC Court.
July 17, 2020 at 04:19
Hello Simon.
Case: I had the interview about DV2020 in March and the visas were approved, 2 days latter my country entered in total carantine. Our passports were in the embassy, then it was the ban. It was just the stamp in passports we were waiting for. Question 1: Are we at Group 2 ? Question 2: Do we have a chance ? Thank you.
July 17, 2020 at 04:21
1. Group 2.
2. You saw the video…
July 17, 2020 at 03:43
Hi Simon, as a follow-up- I have working as a professional ESL English teacher for the past 10 years; it was my goal and dream to live in Texas and teach English to new immigrant children and adults. I am still hopeful that my dream can still be realized.
July 17, 2020 at 03:40
Hello Simon, Thank you so much for your update, sir. I am in that Category 4 that you mentioned- I had an interview scheduled for May before it was cancelled. Another good news for the US Consulate in HK; there was this update in their website-“The U.S. Consulate General Hong Kong and Macau is pleased to resume limited immigrant and nonimmigrant visa services, including student visas”. Now, I feel rather regretful that I did not take the opportunity to join the Curtis Morrison lawsuit. The issue wasn’t about the money. Perhaps subconsciously, I didn’t feel the chances of success was likely, etc. However, that would be have been another good weapon against the ban. Prayers and fingers cross that this new AILA lawsuit will be successful.
July 17, 2020 at 04:19
Wait a few days and see what happens with the AILA suit.
July 16, 2020 at 23:29
Hi Simon,
I’ve called our embassy recently, and they told me that even if the immigration ban is lifted they will not schedule any appointments as long as the Schengen area ban is in effect (I guess it concerns everyone from Schengen area). Is it true or the lady from our embassy is just misinformed?
July 17, 2020 at 00:33
We will have to wait and see.
July 17, 2020 at 00:35
Pressed send too soon. But anyway, the answer doesn’t make any sense – because the validity of the visa would be another 6 months – so clearly they cannot be sure the Schengen ban would remain all that time, and you could easily be planning to be in Africa for a few weeks before going to the USA.
July 16, 2020 at 23:28
Hello Brit
I hope you’re doing good
I have sent i539 for extending my status
In USA as I have 1 more month left
Ans still on aos
🙁
The good new is that I got a receipt from Chicago’s immigrant ion office

Thank you for reply in advance
July 17, 2020 at 00:33

July 17, 2020 at 00:42

July 17, 2020 at 04:16
Sorry, my mind reading superpower is all used up today.
July 16, 2020 at 22:56
Good morning sir
Thanks for the help you and the Aila are giving to us DV winers. Please I wish to know if my passport has 5 months validity will I be denied my green card?
Thanks for understanding.
July 16, 2020 at 23:10
No – although it is better to renew the passport.
July 16, 2020 at 23:19
Thanks sir
It’s just a difficult situation now because I’m not in my home country and my new passport will take about 5 months to be made and the quarantine issue too is another factor so I’m kind of confused
Thanks for understanding.
July 16, 2020 at 23:23
Thanks sir
It’s just a difficult situation now because I’m not in my home country and my new passport will take about 5 months to be ready and the quarantine issue too is another factor so I’m kind of confused.do I go through the interview with my old passport or do a new one and wait for 5 months?
Thanks for understanding.
July 17, 2020 at 14:56
Do you know when you will get interviewed…you can’t tell now. The safest is to renew. There should be a way out. Find out. Research. Make enquirues in your country.
July 17, 2020 at 22:17
Hi Bert
I’m a DV 2020 winer I just have only 2 months for my interview if there will be one i.e if the Aila wins the procedure

July 16, 2020 at 22:54
Hello sir please I need your advice when I was playing the Dvlottery 2021 I was select for dv 2021 my question is this I make a mistake on my year of birth I put 1975 but my year of birth is 1979 it’s possible for me to put it right on ds/260

July 16, 2020 at 22:20
Hi Brit, Thanks fr all ur efforts…Lets pray fr dv 2020 ppl…. Cheers!
July 16, 2020 at 21:31
Dear Mr. Brit,
Thank you for the information. According to your video I am in group one. I got a visa but it is expired. I contacted the embassy several times for resume my visa but they said the embassy is closed we just do emergency visa.
Please in that case what shall I do?
July 16, 2020 at 23:08
Wait for the lawsuit.
July 16, 2020 at 20:59
Dear Brit, Thanks very much for taking the time to follow up with AILA and updating us on DV2020 & DV2021 cases through the two video clips. It appears there might be light at the end of the tunnel for some of us (I wish this were true for all DV selectees affected by CORVID-19). We hope and pray that AILA will be successful with the lawsuit. God bless you.
July 16, 2020 at 20:22
Hi Simon, some good news regarding the resumption of immigrant and non immigrant visa processing. Although is does not mentions diversity visas since proclamation 10014 is in effect i suppose?
https://nl.usembassy.gov/visas/
July 16, 2020 at 21:07
Yes – you now need the TRO
July 16, 2020 at 20:17
I’m moving on. Although I have not received my ready to schedule confirmation mail, still I do got a little faith, since I am a German selectee and theres around 200 some winners left. BUT EVEN IF NOTHING IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN ANYMORE, I STILL WANNA THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE BRIT! God bless you for guiding me throughout an entire year. Your efforts will always remain in my memories.
July 16, 2020 at 20:58
Hi Dior. I’m also hope to get interview at Frankfurt. Where does info about 200 left selecties come from?
July 16, 2020 at 21:48
Hi Abell. I guess so because quite a few might have gone through interviews before the ban and this year we also have had the least selectees in the history of DV for Germany. Maybe if AILA succeeds there is a chance for all remaining Germans – regardless of the current process status.
July 16, 2020 at 21:07
It’s a tough year.
July 16, 2020 at 20:13
Hello sir,
Is dv2022 going to take place on October?
July 16, 2020 at 21:06
Yes
July 16, 2020 at 19:50
It gave me relief to hear from you that people like me, without having confirmation have no chances anymore. Thank you brit
July 16, 2020 at 19:15
To recall .. I’m dv2020 CN 68k

Need your advice in light of your videos
In addition to the following announcements from U.S. Department of State consular affairs:
“US embassies and consulates are beginning the phased resumption of routine visa services. The dates for each embassy or consulate will depend on local conditions. We are unable to provide details for each location. Please monitor the embassy or consulate website for updates”
And the embassy’s announcement at my country:
“ CONSULAR SERVICES UPDATE
The U.S. Embassy in Egypt has canceled all routine immigrant and nonimmigrant visa appointments – including diversity visas – through September 30, 2020. The Consular section may provide emergency and mission-critical visa services as resources and local conditions allow. If you have emergency travel, please contact us through http://www.ustraveldocs.com and we will make a determination on your case. We continue to review safe operating procedures and are assessing when we may reopen on a regular basis. We will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time. If you are a visa applicant for any of the visa categories included in recent Presidential Proclamations about coronavirus-related measures on immigration, travel, or U.S. employment visas, please be sure to review that information on the White House Website.”

Thanks so much for your efforts.. need your advice as I am confused regarding below two posts .. the first one from us department of state consular affairs:
US embassies and consulates are beginning the phased resumption of routine visa services. The dates for each embassy or consulate will depend on local conditions. We are unable to provide details for each location. Please monitor the embassy or consulate website for updates.
And the second one from US embassy in my country:

Appreciate your advice I light of the above mentioned posts given I consider myself as 5th category as per your videos
July 16, 2020 at 21:05
Well in my video I have suggested the 5th category people have no chance. There isn’t enough time.
July 17, 2020 at 07:38
Let’s pray for a miracle ??
July 16, 2020 at 18:08
Dear Brit,
I’m from who you called group 3. Who already got through all the process and got my interview scheduled in april then it was cancelled later.
The embassy here in Egypt had announced that they calcelled all the immigrant and non-immigrant visas interviews including dv lottery till 30 september so my questions:
1) if the ban was stopped by the lawsuit can we do any thing to be interviewed or can they change this new decision?
2) I’m working in a medical research in a biotechnology field can this help in some way?
Many thanks for your helped. You really helped alot 🙂
July 16, 2020 at 20:58
1. They may change things based on conditions in the country. Wait and see.
2. No
July 17, 2020 at 09:54
Hi George,
Please write to KCC (copy to your embassy) with mentioning your experience of medical research in a biotechnology field.
I have written . But they replied me I’m not qualified for essential service category since I’m not working in a medical research field. I work in another research field. Although I do PCR test, they didn’t consider.
Best Regards
July 16, 2020 at 16:25
Dear Brits thanks so much for this update.
Sorry for this question I am a non English speaker and didn’t understand well the implications of the restrictions. Please I am a public health professional and lucked few days to my interview. Does this make me eligible for the Visa now?
July 16, 2020 at 20:50
No. You should wait and see what happens.
July 16, 2020 at 15:49
Thanks for the update brit.
July 16, 2020 at 14:32
UPDATE: Please see our update on exceptions to the Presidential Proclamations Suspending the Entry of Immigrants and Nonimmigrants Presenting a Risk to the US Labor Market During the Economic Recovery Following the 2019 Novel Coronavirus Outbreak: http://ow.ly/J19Q50AA3S9
July 16, 2020 at 16:28
We need exceptions ? for the people who has been cancelled our interview of dv2020 before PP. The reason of the cancell was covid19 closure of the embassy?
July 16, 2020 at 18:09
That pretty much concludes the DV-2020 confusion. No more visas will be issued.
Time to move on.
Thanks for all the support, Simon.
