Hello Dear sir Brit,
My Dear sir i have 2 Questions
1) Ineed to apply and to submit my ds260 form next month because I’m still waiting my documents so next month will I late or not yet?
2) if you have high case number and you submit ds260 at time there’s some many chances to get interview before who have low case numbers? Thank you and highly appreciate your solution.
May 27, 2019 at 14:24
1. That will be OK
2. No, case number rules.

Hi Simon, I finished my interview before some days but my medical is not received by embassy. So that they can printed out my visa. But they take my passport with them. Is there any probability of running out of the visa quota? I am from Africa Ethiopia.

Hello,
My number is AF 462XX. I know based on your blog that they are current and looks like as of June VB KCC have reach 37200. Based on my high AF number do you have to wait at this juncture for KCC to contact you or should we follow your direction from your blog and send the required document anyway?
Thank You

You have to check the education requirements in your country. It varies by country and I don’t track the requirements. They may list something on their website.

Hi! I’m selected for ds2020. I m with F1 visa and since I’m studying in USA, I chose the USCIS rather than going back in my country. I already filled the DS260. Do you think it will take long?!
My Ds2020EU30Xxx number is a little high. What should I do next?!
May 27, 2019 at 21:18
Your case number means you will wait a long time. Plenty of time to learn the process….

Dear Mr. Simon!
I have such question:
I am the main applicant of DV2019. When I applied for green-card my elder daughter was 18, bur she was married. That’s why i didn’t show her there. And then, when I completed dc-260, I showed her as my child but write there that she doesn’t live with me and will not go with me to USA. And now I have interview on 16th July, 2019 in Alma-aty, and she is also among invited persons in my invitation. But now she has a child and she doesn’t want to go anywhere. What do you think, is such situation become for the purpose of refuse my visa? I can’t to update my application as my data of interview is clear and application unavailable.
Thank you very much for your assistance.
May 27, 2019 at 21:25

Dear sir
My question to you is …
1. what is the requirements or criteria for sponsorship for EDV applicants ?
As i far as i know the sponsor should be a Green card Holder but what if the sponsor has used Government allowances like EVT and Medicate
2. How long the sponsor should have stayed in USA?
Like my uncle is staying in USA from 2 years and 2 months and he has 2 years tax clearances in the USA so can he sponsor me in the USA or he must be stayed in the USA for 3 years and tax clearances of 3 years . can mu uncle sponsor me in USA ?
May 28, 2019 at 13:52
If he meets the income requirement he would be OK.

May 28, 2019 at 06:34
Hello,
I’ve read your blog post about the Affidavit of support as well as all the comments by people asking questions, but one thing that I still have doubts about is – should I do anything at all with the I-134 before the interview? For example:
1. I have already filled out the DS-260 but I do not remember if there was a question about being sponsored by someone via a I-134 form. If there was but I have selected “No”, when in fact I realize now I need it – can I change it later?
2. Should I send it(after my sponsor sends it to me) with the other required documents(police certificates etc.)?
3. Is there anything at all needed for me to do except having the sponsor fill out//sign it and me bringing it to the embassy for my interview?
Thank you very much, sorry if this has already been answered, I tried to go through all the comments from the past weeks first
May 28, 2019 at 13:54
1. There is no such question.
2. No – you take it to the interview.
3. No

Dear Birt,
KCC has sent me the 2NL, but the Embassy location is different. It is in the same city, but KCC has sent me a different address, I tried to call the phone number of the embassy on the 2NL, but it is disconnected. The embassy has a different phone number, and it is located in a different area, and does not have any information about the address provided by the KCC. What should I do?
May 28, 2019 at 14:21
Check the embassy website.
May 28, 2019 at 14:56
It does not have any information about the address provided by the KCC
May 28, 2019 at 15:04
So ask the embassy.
May 28, 2019 at 15:30
I have already sent them an email, and the only referred me back to the Diversityvisa website. Should I contact KCC?
May 28, 2019 at 15:52
Use your own judgement. This seems like something pretty easy to resolve.
May 28, 2019 at 12:15
Hi sir .I want to unlock my ds 260 as I did a mistake.i submitted it yesterday and I need to unlock it 2 weeks later because of some circumstances. Will the KCC process it before I unlock it..?? Will it be a matter?

Hi Mr Simon
1-My job is in passport specialist marketing but I am a current accountant what I write now in DS
2-I have a Bachelor of Commerce accounting department. When choosing a job on the DS, choose another and write an accountant or choose Business.
3-I am currently living in Saudi Arabia because I work as an accountant and from time to time I have holidays and my family lives in Egypt. Are there children living with you? Yes or no
May 28, 2019 at 14:24
1. Your actual job.
2. Your actual job.
3. You can decide the answer to that.
May 28, 2019 at 16:25
Hi Simon,
The state of my birth city has changed because of changes by the government in my home country. Now the city of birth from my birth certificate is in another state. Which state should I fill in DS-260: the one listed in my birth certificate or the one that my city is currently in?
Thanks in advance! 🙂
May 28, 2019 at 16:30
Just list the name of the city.
May 28, 2019 at 17:14
Hello Simon, my name is Nelson,my fiance abd our son got selected for dv 2020 with case number 2020AF69*** but she cannot access the DS260 form because her date of birth doesn’t match probably a typing error occurred from the initial entry. What is she suppose to do now? Please help
May 28, 2019 at 17:24
Well first, the number is very high. It may be better to wait a few months so we can understand why the numbers are so high. With such a number she may never get an interview anyway.
As for the DS260 – she will have to methodically go through the dates, trying each one.
May 28, 2019 at 17:36
Hi… some people from my country (Algeria) received their 2nl May, 24th, and today… those who didn’t receive just got confirmed another timer (Docs confimation sent for 2nd time) — what do you think the problem is ? [Thank you !]
May 28, 2019 at 17:41
The predicted chaos of trying to organize a lot of cases in these last few weeks.
May 28, 2019 at 18:18
Hi Simon – my Selectee from AF39xxx received Confirmation of his documents on May 17. There have also been Algerians at 46xxx who have received Confirmation.
1) Is it possible even though he received his Confirmation that he will not get scheduled for his Interview? (due to administrative chaos at KCC).
2) Some Algerians have received Confirmation of their documents twice. Does this have any significance either negatively or positively and why would they get Confirmation twice?
3) When can he expect the 2NL and Interview based on the date he received his Confirmation of Documents (May 17).
Thanks for a reply!
May 28, 2019 at 18:24
1. Yes
2. I don’t know what it means.
3. Maybe August interviews, possibly September.
May 28, 2019 at 18:43
Thanks for always giving such speedy replies.
If he doesn’t get his 2NL by end of June – would it be helpful to contact KCC? I don’t want to make unnecessary calls as I know they’re busy trying to organize interviews. Your advice?
May 28, 2019 at 19:10
Yes, and even sooner.
May 28, 2019 at 19:15
Great! Thank you as always for your important advice! ?

2) if so where should i mention it?

May 28, 2019 at 19:10
1. No
May 28, 2019 at 19:45
Hello,
My number is AF462xx and based on the VB looks like the VB for AF region is at 37200. Two questions:
– what are the chances for KCC reaching my number 462xx?
– based on the blog your rexommendation is to send them the required document even no email has been received. Does that applies to high number like mine as well or only folks that have a number at or below current 37200?
Thanks for your help
May 28, 2019 at 19:53
If yours is a 2019 case you are ALREADY current. 37200 was the previous high, now the region is “CURRENT” meaning ALL numbers can be interviewed. So, it is important to make sure your documents are getting to KCC so that you ca be scheduled. Read my latest article.
May 28, 2019 at 21:16
Scraping this weekend?
May 28, 2019 at 21:23
Yup! 🙂
May 28, 2019 at 23:24
Hello Brit, thanks for helping us with all these questions. I tried checking the FAQ for ds260 because I need to print the confirmation page ( I made an error and didn’t print it when I submitted the ds 260) I didn’t yet know about this blog :(. I have already submitted it since last year and I got an interview next week. In this case do I need my ds260 unlocked ? My case number is 2019AF36xxx
Thank you very much
May 28, 2019 at 23:54
No need to unlock. Log in to the DS260, navigate to the final page and that is what you print.
May 29, 2019 at 00:22
Wow I got it!! Thank you very much and may God bless you exceedingly ???
May 28, 2019 at 23:29
Hello brit many thanks for your support, i have another question

Hi Bret,
For all address cases, should i write the address in French or English? For Example, Should I write “Rue” which is street in english or direclty “Street” ?
Thank you
May 29, 2019 at 02:48
Use your own judgement.
May 29, 2019 at 05:39
Both are correct ?
May 29, 2019 at 02:25
Dear Brit ,
In form I 134 , the address of beneficiary mention in the form, it should be filled the address of beneficiary home country address ( current address) or the intent address going to stay in United State ?
May 29, 2019 at 02:49
Current address.
May 29, 2019 at 03:28
Hi Dear Simon,
Regarding required documents, for a person does live in the united states, what are the required documents to be submitted to the KCC? Thanks in advance
May 29, 2019 at 05:32
Are you adjusting status? If so, there no NO documents submitted to KCC.
May 29, 2019 at 10:38
Yes, I have a pending asylum case and live/work here legally. Is there any specific instruction that i should follow?
May 29, 2019 at 13:38
Yes, your process is completely different.
Read the link below paying particular attention to the spreadsheet linked from the first post in the thread.
https://forums.immigration.com/threads/dv-2020-aos-only.340762/
May 29, 2019 at 05:03
Brit , i saw your comments that you said its possibly that derivatives who lives abroad could get medical in their home country and bring them to embassy where they get interview.
so my spouse is chinese , she lives in shanghai, my interview is in jakarta ( I’m indonesian )
it is really uncomfortable to travel to jakarta only to get medical check up and go back to shanghai.
can i get my medical check up in indonesia and she gets the medical check up in shanghai? of course she will Have the med check in hospital where USembassy has chosen.
May 29, 2019 at 05:36
I certainly did NOT say that!
May 29, 2019 at 05:46
then the answer is NO. i can’t Do that. my spouse needs to fly to indonesia to get med check. Right?
May 29, 2019 at 05:59
Correct.
May 29, 2019 at 06:41
Hello Brit, My case no is 2019AF39*** I have sent the documents as you advised before receiving the 2NL on 27th May. My question is how long should i wait for KCC to respond before i ask them if they are satisfied with my documents?
May 29, 2019 at 13:20
The 2NL is the interview schedule. If you got that you don’t need to ask if they are satisfied!
May 29, 2019 at 07:24
Hi BriSimon, I am under 26 years old. Do you have an article about registration for SELECTIVE SERVICE SYSTEM? Is there any additional programs for visa approved boys who are under 26 year old?
May 29, 2019 at 13:24
Only that. Google it.
May 29, 2019 at 08:35
Hello Britt,
I am a DV2019 winner
please inquire if there is a special analysis that is done to the pregnant woman during the medical visit? thank you
May 29, 2019 at 13:26
I am not a doctor – but nothing to worry about.
May 29, 2019 at 10:29
Hi simon, I have a question, here in my country we have a depatrment of Ministry of internal affairs, which issues chriminal records and which I allready sent to kentucky, with other required documents and it was approved from kentucky, but now I recieved information that embassy of USA, asks records from exactly from ministry of internal affairs. What’s your advice, should I get records which asks embassy and send to kentucky again with other docs, or I can bring it on inteview? Sorry for long question.
May 29, 2019 at 13:34
I don’t understand what you are asking. My only advice would be to follow the instructions on the reciprocity page.
May 29, 2019 at 14:29
I mean, I can get 2 kind of criminal records, one of them is admited by US embassy in my country, unfortunately I didn’t know that and I got another kind of record (and sent to kentucky) which is not admited by US embassy. The question is: should I resend documents, with criminal record which is admited by US embassy? Any ways I will get correct criminal record for interview, but will they refuse for that reason? I just don’t want to get in trouble because of that. Thanks in advance.
May 29, 2019 at 15:17
OK – so have you followed the instructions on the reciprocity page for your country? If you have, no problem.
May 29, 2019 at 10:48
Hi There! How do I select/change my interview location? I was living in the U.S. when I applied for my D.S. 2060 and now I am back in my home country. My number is coming up in june. Thanks!
May 29, 2019 at 13:39
You need to contact KCC and explain. They might have assumed you are adjusting status in the USA, so you need to switch to Consular Processing. Do that immediately.

Hello Brit,
My brother applied for immigrant visa petition for USA citizenship for me and my four children who were below 21 years at the time, which has been approved.
The four children now are already adults and in marriage and a kid each. Do their kids and their spouses qualify to accompany us?

You could marry the girlfriend and sponsor her and the baby – it would take about 2 years. BUT I hope you did not lie on any part of your process (meaning the baby was not born when you were processing your DV case).
