Important video here to understand how DS260 processing and AV queues work. This video is worth some time to watch.

Hi Brit, I have received 4th letter when I asked my DV status from KCC. I am from Asia region & It is current upto 18750..As per your video, I guess I am now at Embassy Queue..Before someone who are not current yet in Asia will receive their 2nls, will I receive the 2nl since I am at AV queue now?

I don’t know – as you have seen in my video, you chance is based on the behavior of your embassy.

This is a great video and I have watched it twice to understand my chance of getting a 2NL before visas are full.
I am AS4K from Sri Lanka and was processed by 27th Jan 2023. My CN was current for Jan 2023.
Hence I assume that I would have been added to AV Queue after the Feb 2023 VB. (By 4th April I got a mail from KCC saying I can’t unlock and I did not check with KCC during Mar 2023)
The AS cutoff for Feb was 15500 and from Mar it is 18750
I see that the 2NL for Colombo is being sent to higher CN and is now at 14K range. Assuming that I was added to AV Q in Feb 2023, would I be added after all processed CN of 18750 or after 15500?
Hope I was clear enough for you to understand the question.
As CLM is now around 14K, if I was added to AV Q after 15500, then I would stand a chance in the next 2NL round. However if I was added to AV Q after 18750, I might get delayed and this is a bit of concern as I am waiting to send my daughter to uni this fall if I am selected.
Please bear with me and help me understand the chances.
Thank you so much for your constant support

As you wil have seen in the video, the important thing is when you are added to the AV queue. So – a case that is lower than yours but was delayed in DS260 processing will not jump ahead of you. Similarly, you are ahead of higher case numbers that were added to the queue in the same month as you. So – hopefully you will have a chance of a 2NL soon.
