I posted a video explaining this yesterday, and am posting it here in case some blog readers are not subscribed to my YT channel.
Xarthisius has already added a percentile number to his site which you can see here.

Hello Brit,
Thank you for your education on DV Lottery.
Please, I am a first-time winner in 2024, presented the file in November 2024, and am now awaiting an interview. I want to find out, if I stand a chance, having Case Number 2025AF240X9.
Thank you.

Well you are already current, so now it depends on your DS260 processing and your embassy.

What is your opinion about case number AS21K in the DV lottery FY2025? Should I be hopeful?

Hi Simon,
What is the chance for 2023OC 1912
Thank you

I can’t predict that.

Hi Simon, just wanted to provide you with my experience. I won the DV lottery, dv2021. I had a very high case number SA4100 (the highest one was SA4500) and I got the interview and the green card, even tho I thought I had minimum chance given my high case number. Anyway, that’s it! Thanks your blog has been super helpful. The country I applied from was Argentina BTW.

Case number – DV 2023AF41***
Location- ANKARA
What are the chances of getting scheduled for interview in here sir (i fear this specific embassy may be having backlogs & performing slow. They have scheduled up to 17k cases for Africa as per Xarthisius data graph, even tho they say they have resumed full immigration processing capacity.)
What do you suggest ? shall i stay here as they may go well next months or i should change location to other African countries to get my chance. Thank you.

It is obviously risky.

It is a decision that you must make for yourself, but it is NOT true that FTN has accepted cases up to 48000…

Hi BritSimon, Thanks for another very informative video. Two questions / comments re Oceania – 1.It seems Oceania have gone current in eleven of the past fourteen years so, just on that basis, seems like a good chance Oceania will also go current in DV-2023?, 2. The years when Oceania has not gone current seem to have been when Australia has had an unusually high number of selectees – in DV-2023 Australia seems to have an unusually low number of selectees. Thanks again.
January 15, 2023 at 10:49
1. Ignore 2020 to 2022 – they were all screwed up by Covid. In other years OC went current when selectees were low (less than 2000). This year has some risk as there are 2500 selectees.
2. See 1. 2023 is not a low number of selectees.

By the way, the numbers are important at the regional level, not just Australia.

Greetings Sir,
I checked Ceac status check my case is at NVC, but when I signed in to my ds 260 it says my case is at KCC. Can u help me to understand why is that?
January 6, 2023 at 00:23
Because for DV cases only KCC process the cases NOT NVC.
