I think given the small weight, and the length of time since the offence that would probably not cause you a denial. The number is fine.

My future daughter in law was scheduled for an interview for 4-10-20. She won the lottery in Morocco. It was cancelled due to the virus. Do you know when those interviews will be rescheduled? Thank you for your assistance.

No – we are still waiting for embassies to reopen.
June 11, 2020 at 03:26
Hello sir. Thanks in advance. I am 2020EU41***. Do you think there is any chance getting 2nl?
June 11, 2020 at 03:38
I don’t know. The embassies are still closed.
June 11, 2020 at 10:14
Should I email them about documents? They don’t have even time for interviews till 30 of september. It’s everything caotic.
June 11, 2020 at 22:21
You can try.
June 11, 2020 at 03:35
When the regions go Current towards the end of the fiscal year, is there a way to expedite processing of a high case number? Or do they still file the earlier cases interview first? I noticed for Asia region, it goes current pretty consistently during May / June. Can we do anything to help push our case, given that our ds260 is completed early, and documents we have confirmed are okay and processed
June 11, 2020 at 03:39
Case number?
June 11, 2020 at 16:01
Hi Simon,
My wife and I found out that we are expecting our second baby who is due in October 2020. My wife became pregnant after we applied last year.
There is no space on the DS260 to add our unborn child. What if we our interview is scheduled for before the baby arrives.
My case number is in the 8000’s and we are from South Africa. Do you think our chances are good for becoming current this year or becoming current at all?
Any help will be appreciated.
June 12, 2020 at 00:32
Of course there is no space for a person that doesn’t exist yet.
If I were you I would delay submission to make sure you can easily add the baby and have a slightly later interview. Read the FAQ about adding the baby.
June 12, 2020 at 01:46
Thanks for the reply.
I already submitted before your reply though.
I am a medical doctor and obviously completed high school but I forgot to add high school to the education and went straight to the university degrees (medical and masters), will that be a problem?
Do you think that my case number (AF8xxx)will become current this year? Our baby is due in October.
June 12, 2020 at 02:03
At least take HS proof to the interview.
You can slow the process by delaying documents.
June 11, 2020 at 03:42
Dear Brit,
As I informed you before my baby was born later after submitting our civil documents. I was unable obtain the passport due to the curfew in Sri Lanka. As per your advice I submitted documents again 5 days ago without the passport biography page. I attached an explanation explaining why I am unable to obtain. Today I received the passport. Do I have to send the documents again?
My case number is 2020AS28xxx. Will it slower the documents confirmation process?
Thanks in advance
June 11, 2020 at 04:19
Send all the documents again.
June 11, 2020 at 04:51
If I send documents again, do I have to update passport number in DS260? As per your advice I added my baby with my passport number. Last time you said it can be updated at the interview as well. So if I send all documents again, do I have to update DS260 before the interview?
June 11, 2020 at 05:00
Yes you can do it at the interview if you prefer. Updating the DS260 is better if you have time to wait anyway.
June 11, 2020 at 04:09
Good day Simon,
1) Regarding the matter of public charge, if I was to say add up my savings and some contributions from family to sum a rough $10k-$15k for a single applicant (me) with no derivatives, will that and my bachelors degree prove that I will not be a charge? I do not have any other assets/shares.
2) Will I need a sponsor to provide an affidavit of support under the above circumstances?
3) If I could not manage a sponsor to do so, in your experience, how much more would I need to add to that to not be considered a charge and receive the visa?
Thanks
June 11, 2020 at 04:15
1. It’s difficult to draw that conclusion with 100% certainty. With that amount of savings you MAY be OK, but with a suitable I-134 you normally WILL be ok.
2. See 1
3. See 1.

Dear Sir, Regarding educational qualifications, they ask ‘Provide the following information on all educational institutions at a secondary level OR above you have attended.’ I have completed my A-Levels and enrolled in a 3 year degree program at a private institute. I have completed up to Higher National diploma in computer studies (2 years) but never completed the 3 years to get the final degree certificate. My question is should I include my school and A-levels or would the Higher National diploma be enough? Thanks again!
June 11, 2020 at 05:04
Include all education.
June 11, 2020 at 05:42
Thank you sir!
June 11, 2020 at 05:46
Sorry sir one more question, would this diploma fall under category University, No degree or something else? Because its a private institute can it be considered under university?
June 11, 2020 at 16:20
Include all education from age 12 and above.
June 11, 2020 at 18:22
Yes sir I have included all of them. But my highest education qualification is the 2 years advanced diploma in computer studies which I took from an private institute. I never completed the 3rd year to get the degree, So should I select some University courses or just select High school degree for the Highest Level of Education Completed drop down list?
June 12, 2020 at 00:48
Just pick a choice. No need to overthink it!
June 11, 2020 at 04:48
Hi Simon,
I noticed an issue while filling ds 260. I hope you can help with your experience.
At the “present employment” section as a main applicant, I have more then 10 years experience as business owner with one company. I record it and it’s ok.
When I try to the next section, “previous employment” I say Yes. (I have other 10 years of experience).
Then I have the option to start with the most recent one for last 10 years…I tried to put the same data as present employment section but I need to have an end date, which is not correct if I record it as of today…
If I choose No( no previous experience), that is not correct again, as I have like 22 years of experience in the same filed, profession, should I lie?
I am worried at this point as I cannot find an answer. I searched your article on how to fill ds 260, but such option seems not mentioned. Please if any one can help on this issue with the ds 260.
June 11, 2020 at 05:03
Of course you should not lie.
Present employment will not have an end date. THe PREVIOUS employment is NOT including your PRESENT employment so you would not have an end date of today.
There is no article on this because you only have to think a little about what you are doing.
June 11, 2020 at 14:26
Hello britsimon I play the dvlotery last year I won but I didn’t play with passport due to some situation but I play with option number 3 talking about passport wavier and now I want to get my passport is this possible?
June 12, 2020 at 00:21
No – the passport rule was put in place to stop people applying without a passport. It was a big rule change, and many people realized they could not participate because of the rule change. They obviously meant it – and have said they will disqualify people such as yourself that did not want to have the rule applied to their case.
June 11, 2020 at 06:28
I am African and I won a scholarship for studying in Russia. As I do not master the Russian language, I followed a formation of the Russian language. GOD thank you I validated and I would like to know if I should mention that in the education part
June 11, 2020 at 21:38
List all education.
June 11, 2020 at 04:59
If I enter my spouse by filling in her ds260, but later she decides not to go for the interview, and does not want the visa, would it effect my interview?
June 11, 2020 at 16:21
No
June 11, 2020 at 17:31
Hi Brit I have a similar problem. I’m busy with the submission now. I’m the principal member and I have two kids. Things are rocky in the relationship can I go for the interview with my kids to include them as well.
June 12, 2020 at 00:39
You can, but you may be asked about custody or permission from their other parent.
June 11, 2020 at 05:33
Mr Brit
I have send an E mail regarding my educational qualification. . Still I didnot receive reply.
I’m waiting for the reply.

Sent an email where? To me? I generally ignore emails that should have been asked on the blog. I ONLY answer emails that NEED to be discussed in private.

Hi Simon,
I am (AS17XXX) here to request your kind advice and guidance on this complicated matter. I am DV2020 lottery winner and currently at Australia on student visa since 2018. By current residence, my interview location is at US Embassy at Sydney, Australia, but I have requested KCC to change interview location to Mumbai, India because my two children at my home country. KCC responded stating that interview location has been changed to Mumbai. I have submitted DS0260 and all the documents and KCC responded that applicant and documents are completed and satisfied. My case number became current in the month of Ma, 2020 and expected to receive 2NL in second half of May, but due to convid 19, all embassies and consulates are closed. My home country where my children are also closed and India where i am supposed to schedule interview also closed till date.
In this context, attending interview at Mumbai, India is not possible, as covid 19 cases are increasing, where Mumbai has the highest case. Country where my children live has no sign to reopen its boarder and flights. But Australia has started to reopen and its interstate boarder restriction is also going to lift soon, offices started to reopen. Hope US embassy in Sydney, Australia will also reopen soon. So keeping all the above information, I like to get kind advice and guidance on;
1. Incase Embassy in Sydney reopen before the end of Dv2020, can I request KCC to change my interview location to Australia and attend interview without children. My wife is also with me at Australia. And request KCC to allow my children to attend interview in Mumbai, India once restriction is lifted.
2. Is there system either embassy or consulate for DV applicants, where parents and children attend interview in different location at different schedule.
3. Or is there system with embassy and consulate to take video interview with children of the applicants, where parents attend face to face interview with consular.
4. Did you come across same story as myself before please.
Thanks and regards from Pema
June 11, 2020 at 17:58
1. You can switch to AUS, but your children will not have time to process, and there is not a defined process for the situation of kids not attending with parents. So you will end up sponsoring them through a family based process once you are in the USA. That will take 2 years.
2. No
3. No
4. Yes.
June 11, 2020 at 06:17
Hello dear Brit Simon, Hope all is well. I am a winner of 2021 DV lottery. But now i see that in my entrant surname is missing one letter. So in my passport is TAGHIYEV but entrant name only with G so H is omitted. So please tell me what is my situation. Should I fill DS 260 and explain CO situation or i have to give up right now.( Thanks for your answer.
June 11, 2020 at 21:36
The risk is low, as long as you correctly list the name in the DS260.
June 11, 2020 at 06:40
hi Brit,
I have a question about my educational qualification. During filling my form I was in bachelors 3rd year, and now I am in 4th year. Now while filling the Ds260 form what should I fill ? My bachelors is not complete so should I fill upto my +2 qualification ( high school complete ) or should I fill bachelors running and include the institution I am studying bachelors in even though my bachelor is not complete
June 11, 2020 at 21:39
So your PRESENT occupation is as a student – list that. Then list the education history.
June 12, 2020 at 03:29
sir so that means I should include my institution in which I am studying bachelor??
and if yes , they may ask me result of my bachelors and its not complete. What to do then sir ?
June 12, 2020 at 04:21
You are not reading and paying attention. Think about what I said.
June 12, 2020 at 05:23
sir if I am understanding right ….I have to list my bachelor studies also and if they ask about my mark sheet I have to show till the year I have passed ?
Did I understand right sir ??
June 11, 2020 at 07:00
For DV2021, if I marked as married in my application, then now I am going through a marriage annulment, but do not have the annulment certificate yet. I am submitting the ds260, and list my status as married still.
Do I need to unlock, update my ds260, and update the documents, if I get the annulment certificate before my interview? Right now, it is unknown when I will get a court hearing or when the annulment will complete and issue the certificate. Or can I just attend the interview and update them there.
June 11, 2020 at 21:40
Yes apply as married, and update once that changes.
June 11, 2020 at 07:08
Hello Brit,
I sent my documents to KCC 6 days ago. When is the appropriate time to ask them are they satisfied with them?
Thank you!
June 11, 2020 at 21:43
just before the end of June.
June 12, 2020 at 01:02
For dv2020 or dv2021?
June 12, 2020 at 01:31
@Varney. There were no DV2021 winners 6 days ago.
June 11, 2020 at 07:09
dear mr simon.
2020 eu 39xxx
during the year i contacted the KCC with a lot of email.
yesterday i called by telephone and they always said the same things:
your document are not yet processed when they will be processed we will send to you a confirmation email.
What do you suggest?
wait and see?
or to call again next days?
best regards
sofia
June 11, 2020 at 21:44
You can call again in a week or two. We are getting close to the crunch time now.
June 11, 2020 at 07:29
Dear Mr Simon,
After submitting the DS-260, usually, how long does it take to receive an email from the KCC with details for the submission of the supporting documents?
Thank you very much.
June 11, 2020 at 21:45
It varies. Sometimes very fast. But you don’t have to wait for them to ask if you have a low case number.
June 11, 2020 at 08:08
Dear Simone
I have a question:
1. In the DV entry form, I have indicated that I have a spouse but we are not legally married, we live together for 15 years and I have the certificate from church with date in it (when we had a ceremony) and we have 2 children and legal document that he is the father. do I need to get married before I fill the DS260 or I would be disqualified in any case?
thank you
June 11, 2020 at 22:05
If you list a spouse that you are not married to, that can cause disqualification. If I were you I would perform a legal marriage and also start referring to the Church service as the marriage because that is your “reason” you included your spouse.
June 11, 2020 at 08:17
hello sir … Thank you for the information you give us…I am the winner of the 2020 lottery … With case number Eu202039 *** … But I have not received the confirmation of the documents…
Do you think that the confirmation of the documents can come to me, can I get an interview date ???
June 11, 2020 at 22:03
It’s all up in the air at the moment. The embassies are closed, so many people will miss out.
June 11, 2020 at 08:34
Brit, have you talked to anyone from KCC? I’ve resent my documents, but didn’t hear from them. I’m only applicant without husband or children , with clear police certificate and no military record was needed as I’m girl. Can’t really understand why does it take so long to check my documents. I’m calling them every week and answers are still all the same. What can I do? Do you think I’ve chances for September interview?
June 11, 2020 at 19:06
I‘m in the same situation – please stop calling them over and over again! Just think that they could be taking care of processing our documents in that time!
June 11, 2020 at 22:05
I don’t know which cases have chances and which won’t make it. The embassies are still closed….
June 11, 2020 at 09:06
Hello Brit, I have submitted all the documents in november 2019, but I haven’t received the confirmation yet, my case number is 35K, i don’t know what to do, my lawyer says do not resend the documents, but there a lot of lawyers telling to resend, tell me what to do please.
2. Do you think i have any chance?
June 11, 2020 at 22:11
1. You should call KCC
2. I don’t know.
June 11, 2020 at 09:56
Hello Brit, is there a possibility to recheck results for 2021? Or once check and wasn’t selected is final result
June 11, 2020 at 22:20
You can check one further time in November.
June 11, 2020 at 09:59
If I update my ds260, eg. marriage annulment certificate, do I update myself to divorced? or single? Also, do I need to scan these documents for processing again?
June 11, 2020 at 22:20
Divorced. And yes they will want that document.
June 12, 2020 at 02:49
Thank you, to follow up my understanding on that, after the annulment certificate is issued, I would
1. promptly update my status to “divorced”,
2. removing the details of my ex-wife from the “spouse” section,
3. updating her details to “previous spouse” section,
4. submit that ds260, and
5. submitting the scanned annulment documents (along with the other documents) to the email
6. constantly check if there’s any issues with the documents with KCC
Am I correct?
June 12, 2020 at 03:19
Yes
June 11, 2020 at 10:17
Hello there,
I am a 17 Year old, living in Albania.
I have been a subscriber for quite some time. Your videos have been very useful when one of my parents was randomly selected as a winner. Unfortunately our case number was very high and we didn’t receive a visa.
I currently attend a professional school for IT which is 4 Years long. In my country High School is 3 years. I have 2 years still left until I graduate.
My question to you is :
Can I apply for the lottery this October?
(DV- Lottery 2022)
Application year : 2020/ this year
By the time that the embassies start the interview process I would graduate with a valid diploma.
Looking forward to your response.
I thank you in advance!
Regards
June 11, 2020 at 22:21
Yes
June 11, 2020 at 10:22
Hi Simon,
Thanks a lot for your valuable time you spend on helping us.
1. My question is about the sponsorship. I own an apartment which worths 400K $ and also about 80K $ in my bank account. We are a family of 4. Do I still need to find someone to file I-134, as my sponsor? Or is it enough that I provide house/car ownership and bank account documents, and no sponsor?
2. My CN is 2021AS27xx, is it considered as a low number for AS region? How probable is to get interview appointment before 2021?
3. I filled DS-260 on june 8th, and today june11th emailed KCC to unlock for some minor corrections. Since they probably have not started processing my case, do you think this unlocking request would affect my place in the line? does my place in the line is still considered as june 8th, when I first submitted my DS-260?
June 11, 2020 at 22:23
1. https://britsimonsays.com/all-about-public-charge-affidavit-of-support-i-134/
2. It’s low. Possible.
3. Unlocking does not delay. That’s covered in the FAQ
June 11, 2020 at 10:38
Hi
Thank you for your informative videos and blog posts.
I live in South Africa now and I am from South Africa. About 10 years ago, I lived in Ghana for 2 years. I have tried to see if I can get a Police Clearance Certificate, but the Ghanaian Police Service I called said I have to come in physically to the station. There is no online option.
I don’t think I am going to be able to feasibly get a police certificate for my two years in Ghana. Will this be a disqualifying problem or will they understand how impossible this is?
Secondly, due to the coronavirus lockdown in South Africa, I can’t apply for a renewed passport – the offices are closed. My passport expires in August 2020. I am going to use my current passport for the DS-260 form and take you advice and apply for the new passport as soon as I can and process it when it arrives, either by unlocking the DS-260 or by taking it to the interview, depending when it arrives. This should be okay hey?
Thank you
Kate
June 11, 2020 at 22:41
1. You should have read the reciprocity page – there is a mail option. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Ghana.html
2. Yes
June 12, 2020 at 14:02
Thank you, I didn’t see that. This helps.
June 11, 2020 at 11:36
Hey Simon,
Thanks for your blog and videos thus far, I’m glad I’ve come across them as you’ve been super helpful.
I have a few further questions regarding the 2021 DV lottery I’m hoping you could help answer. Some background, I am Australian, have lived in the UK on and off for 11 years. During this time I have always been self employed, even when I’ve worked for organisations/individuals for an extended period of time. The majority of the time I was a sole trader, I am now the director of my own limited company. University educated and have enough savings (cash) to demonstrate I can support myself. My case # is 2021OC000002XX.
1. Under work history, as a sole trader I would enter my own information/residence and as an employee of my own limited company, the address/phone of my limited company (which is also my residence) –– would this be correct?
2. Would I need to re-list it for every address I’ve lived at? (there’s a few!)
3. There have been instances where I’ve changed my residence, redirected mail to friends addresses (whilst away) and neglected to change personal addresses with my bank/credit cards etc as I’ve moved. I have used my credit reports to cross check my address history, however it doesn’t paint a very accurate picture of where I’ve lived. Do I need to provide further proof or residencies? My concern is if cross checking my information, it may show differently.
4. Do you know what the employment history is used for? Ie. Does the US government need names/phone/address of clients I have worked for to contact them for reference? (regarding Q1+2)
5. Finally, the place of birth on my birth certificate is the suburb in Melbourne I was born in. The city of birth on my passport is ‘Melbourne’. Can you see this causing an issue?
Thank you in advance,
J
June 11, 2020 at 23:50
1. Yes
2. No – the latest work location is enough.
3. UK records are good anyway, so the concern is less. Just list “main” residences, with continuous dates.
4. No they don’t, so don’t stress about it. As long as you are qualified by education, your work experience/histor means very little.
5. Of course not.
Relax!
June 19, 2020 at 04:41
Haha, thanks Simon. Much appreciated!
One thing I forgot to ask — In terms of work again, I’m self-employed by my own company as a ‘director’ and my company works for different clients. Do I list my job title as director of company ‘X’ and explain what I actually do in the field under it, or would I put what my actual job title which would be ‘Art director’?
Thank you!
June 19, 2020 at 14:06
Art director
June 11, 2020 at 11:42
Love your Blog,
Is there a time frame I should have the DS-260 form completed by?
Case number is OC12XX
I have been taking my time making sure everything is correct and accurate before submitting, I am currently in the process of gathering supporting documentation.
June 11, 2020 at 23:40
Hello Brit , I have a question please , I am a 2021 winner , I have applied as a single , however I am divorced , the reason was I can not have my daughters photos to apply for them that made me apply as a single , I still did not fill ds260 , what is your advice to fill my status in ds260 and do you think they will accept me or refuse me . Thanks in advance for you help
June 12, 2020 at 01:15
You deliberately lied and should be disqualified.
June 13, 2020 at 16:40
What a big trouble , So i decided not to miss this chance and continue and see what will happen , I just need your recommendation when i am filling DS260 change it to divorced or keep it single , which option could increase my chance . Thanks Sir
June 13, 2020 at 18:06
There is nothing I can add. I cannot assist you with lying.
June 11, 2020 at 23:51
You could wait months with no problem. Relax.
June 11, 2020 at 12:00
Hi Simon,
Thanks for this blog, it has helped me a lot.
I got a question about education, im from Venezuela and i got the “Bachillerato” Degree but i also did a Master there, is it better to go for master education or just stay with high school basic?
June 11, 2020 at 23:54
List your education completely from age 12 and up.
June 11, 2020 at 12:07
Dear sir,
My wife won dv2021. Case number AS10xxx, country Iraq. My qustions are: How much time we have to submit ds260 and supporting documents? As due to COVID19 my country is facing lock downs and obtaining, and certifying documents are impossible to get right now.
We have a newborn baby and obtaining passport is hard in the recent months, is it alright if we submit the ds260 without the baby’s and requesting unlock to add him when we get his passport?
Is it Normal to submit ds260 and supporting documents in Nov or Dec 2021?
Thank you in advance….
June 11, 2020 at 23:57
It won’t harm at all to wait a few months before you submit your DS260.
June 11, 2020 at 12:52
Sir
My spouse has won dv2021. case number AS10xxx. Country Iraq. Any thoughts about our chance of being interviewed?
Is it alright if we submit ds260 and supporting documents in NOV or Dec 2020?
Thank you in advance..

It’s fine. Waiting won’t cause a problem.
June 11, 2020 at 12:52
Hello dear Brit how should i write my address in dv lottery?
June 12, 2020 at 00:03
Oh my. Use your own judgement.

Dear BritSimon,
Brilliant site and support…
i have few questions and appreciate your guidance… just FYI my number is AF00016xxx and i live in Dubai – i watched your video yesterday and i understand that for AF (where the max that you heard was 80 k) 16k is considered low:
– in the DS260 form about education… i am a PHD holder, is that “university degree” or “advanced degree”?
– vaccination records… while i know i have taken the required vaccinations when i was a kid, but i don’t have a record… what is the resolution?
– school certificates for when i was under 18 years… are these required? or would my BSC, MSC and PHD suffice? also these are quite old and i need to do some digging this is why i am asking… also in case needed, all of the school years are needed or only the final year’s certificate by which i received my academic pre university degree?
– do i need to get an equivalency for the above certificates? i have done so using WES when i did my Canadian PR
– the medical record is valid for 6 months only and i have to land in the US post the interview and when the visa is stamped in 6 month. i am planning to exhaust all the grace period… do i need to repeat the medical in case it expires prior to the visa expiry or this is not allowed?
– once i have submitted the DS260 form, when do i need to submit the police certificate? right away?
– bank statements and assets… also do i need to submit them with the DS260?
– who will usually attend the interview? me only? or the family whom are accompanying which consists of a wife and 10 and 7 years old.
– can i delay the submission of DS260 form – that – and given my number – can get me an interview in January so i can land in July (for school to finish in UAE)? or is it too risky?
much appreciated
Yacoub

NUMBER questions please.
1. Advanced
2. The physician will resolve that at the medical.
3. Some COs want HS certificates too (from age 12 and up).
4. No
5. The visa expires 6 months after the date of the medical. So – delay the medical, and if you need more time, delay submitting DS260 and/or documents.
6. No – you can choose. Delaying submitting documents will delay your interview which might suit you.
7. No. At interview.
8. you + derivatives.
9. Already discussed.
This was a lot of questions. Please read my basic questions and FAQ and so on to avoid huge lists of already answered questions.

Hi Brit?
I had an error in submitting my documents to KCC documents department.
There was an error with the DOB during the initial entry and it was corrected on the DS260 form. But instead of submitting the doc with the initial BOD, I submitted my doc with the corrected BOD. How can I solved that problem?
June 12, 2020 at 00:15
“Corrected DOB”??
Do you mean fraudulent document which you knew to be false???
Why on earth would you do that?
June 11, 2020 at 14:06
I’m 25 (dentist), and currently unemployed. I’ve only had a 4 month part-time job since I graduated 2 years ago.
As i’m filling my ds-260, if I put down in my list of current occupations as: “Unemployed”, will that increase the risk that I may get a public charge?
Since i’m a dentist, I need to go through the equivalency process and exams in the USA and will have to go through a 2 year qualifying program. So I would essentially be a student there again.
June 12, 2020 at 00:17
You have to fill in the form honestly – so do that.
You will need an I-134 and you should have a plan of how you will support yourself while you study.
June 11, 2020 at 14:34
I am here on USA since 11 days and i have changed my address on uscis office via online form. For ssn do i have to inform social security office?
June 12, 2020 at 00:23
Yes you should go there. Your GC will be sent to the address you had on the DS260.
June 11, 2020 at 14:40
Hello Brit I hope your treats well … The Monday are met 6 week of sending my documents … I would send them again? When I call the KCC they only say they can not see that they are not the department responsible.

Simon hi,
1. CN EU21XXX still havent got interview date. Documents are ok. When its expected KCC to send interview dates for cases like me, who got OK email for documents and only waiting for date?
2. Should I call/When if so, the KCC and ask them when they schedule me because they sent the email for documents 3 months ago?
June 12, 2020 at 00:31
1. Embassies are still closed and it’s not known when they will reopen.
2. They can’t say anything until the embassies are open.

Hello, I am a current high school student. Do I say that I have attended an educational institute second level or above? I am currently in 10th grade.
June 12, 2020 at 00:36
I don’t know your country, or the education system in that country. But it sounds like you don’t meet the requirements.
June 11, 2020 at 17:06
My CN for 2021 is 63xxx is there any chance to interview ?
June 12, 2020 at 00:37
Too soon to know. Wait a few weeks.
June 11, 2020 at 17:43
Hi! I hope you’re fine. My wife is a dv2020 winner. She is a Spanish citizen, with a Spanish dad and currently living in Spain. She used Spain as her place of chargeability, but she was born in Venezuela. She did a consular discharge from Venezuela about 10 years ago, when moving to Spain permanently. Could that be considered? Thank you so much.
June 12, 2020 at 00:42
No – she will be disqualified UNLESS you are born in Spain. In that case there would be an option, but otherwise she made a mistake. She has a EU number and should have been in the SA draw.
June 11, 2020 at 18:03
Hi Simon, I have question ,1- can the main applicant enter the US first and then the derivative later?2- or we should come together?
June 12, 2020 at 00:43
Yes you can do that – but each must enter before the visa expires.
June 11, 2020 at 18:05
Hallo Brit,
I won the Dv 2021, I and my wife already have passports but due to Covid 19, my children have not been issued with a passport, Can I forward my Ds-260 and that of my wife in advance and may be forward my Children DS-260 later or I have to forward them all together.
June 12, 2020 at 00:45
Why not just wait? What is your case number?
June 11, 2020 at 18:18
Hello Simon,
what so you mean by unlocking your ds260?
Thanks a lot
June 12, 2020 at 00:45
You cannot edit a submitted DS260 unless you request that it is unlocked. It’s covered in the FAQ
June 11, 2020 at 18:46
We won the DV Lottery from Canada through my wife’s country of birth Kyrgyzstan. However that country is on the US travel ban. We are Canadian citizens though. Do you think we have a chance of getting a wavier at our interview? DS-260 already completed and submitted. Thanks for your help.
June 12, 2020 at 00:49
Yes.
June 11, 2020 at 18:49
I’m planning to call KCC in about two weeks to ask them about my documents.
I know this question might be silly… but how do I start the conversation? Do I say my name first? (Since I’ve never spoken to someone from the US directly on phone)
Let’s hope of good news on the 23rd!
June 11, 2020 at 20:18
Hi, I called them today, spoke with a very kind lady, she asked me about everything she needed to identify my case. Then she told me she can’t say anything about my docs because they’re on another department 🙁
June 12, 2020 at 01:05
Try again in a week or two
June 12, 2020 at 00:50
Say “hello”.
They will want your full name, FULL case number (including leading zeros) and DOB
June 11, 2020 at 19:13
Hi britsimons

June 12, 2020 at 00:52
I don’t know.
June 11, 2020 at 19:13
Hi Brit,
Is it possible to change the given USA postal address to post my green card once I visit USA.And how?
My friend who lived in the given address when I fill D260 is no more there. so need to change it.
Thank you.
Chamil
June 12, 2020 at 00:53
No. The address needs to be correct at the port of entry at the latest.
June 23, 2020 at 00:30
You can change it before interview scheduled ,It is better if you can change it right now with new address , otherwise you can provide new address at the time of Interview . Are you from Sri Lanka?
June 11, 2020 at 19:34
