hi Brit Simon
is it necessary to know someone in the us in order to pick up the Green Card .i learnt that the applicant will be disqualified if he does not have a friend or someone in the US .in the (Name of person currently living at address ) i checked does not apply .
thank you
July 14, 2016 at 14:07
You must give a US postal address where the Green Card will be sent.
As another matter, in some embassies they expect you to have a host that will provide assistance for you.
I think you are confusing those two ideas.
July 13, 2016 at 22:09
Hi Brit!
I want to thank you for all your help. May God bless you and your family. I got the visa! Your guidance truly helped. Thanks a bunch!
I had my interview on the 11th. The CO approved our visa and kept our passports.
My case changed from ready to AP after my interview and this morning it changed to issued. And later today I got a call from the embassy that my visa has been stamped and they told me the deadline for me to travel. I am just waiting to receive my passport in hand.
I’d love to share my interview experience. Is there a specific blog where I can post? Or should I paste my story here 🙂
July 13, 2016 at 22:12
Congratulations – please add the interview experience at the link below. Start with the embassy…

Please I want to know something because this is bothering me..my cousin want to stop processing the lottery she won.. because there was an error in her date of birth in wassce certificate but Waec says they can not do anything about that..but she can swear affidavit on it and attached it on the certificate ..but don’t think ghana embassy will accept that. but she can prove the real date of birth that is on the winning lottery is the actual date of birth on her biometric passport and also on her birth certificate. ..please will that prove something? Or they still consider it as fraud or lying? Please tell us what to do please..
July 13, 2016 at 18:11
I cannot tell you with 100% certainty. There is always risk with cases at Accra, and issues like the DOB are the sort of thing that seem to create suspicion in the mind of the CO. A sworn affidavit is simply another piece of paper – not particularly powerful in a country where forged documents are commonplace. So – there is not a 100% certain “solution” and your cousin needs to decide whether to take the risk or not.
July 13, 2016 at 23:46
Please she wants to process it and prove all the documents she have..please what documents will you advice her to gather for interview. .thanks very much mr brit. .
July 14, 2016 at 00:23
She should carefully follow the instructions for DV selectees.

Hey
My wife won green card..me and the kids are beneficiary For 2017 I hv been in married before and went embassy for visa but we were denied in 2006….i divorced but the divorce process took like 9yrs for me to get divorce papers got them last year 2015 but I hd married my current wife under customery laws in 2009 …we just formalised our marriage this year …
1.do you think my previous marriage could be an issue for us to be denied visa?
2.can my previous denial of visa affect this one?
3.2006 is long time ago… Do they have records to date? That we were denied visa? Although they took my fingers print then.
4.i indicated that I was married and divorced before my current marriage in the forms….. Any issue there? Also said that I hv ever been denied visa.
5.can they refuse to give us visa on my previous marriage ?or they deny me alone and give my wife and kids?
July 13, 2016 at 18:14
1. I don’t think so.
2. Probably not (I assume that was non immigrant visa), but it depends on the reasons for the denial.
3. Yes they probably have some records.
4. If you told a lie that could be an issue – obviously!
5. A derivative can be denied while the principal is approved.
July 13, 2016 at 18:18
The previous denial was also Dv lottery and we married after she won….. They felt that our marriage was not genuine…
This one now we won together with kids from first place
July 13, 2016 at 19:16
OK, well it depends whether they judged that your earlier marriage was deliberately fraudulent. If they took a hard line on that, they might have decided you would be permanently ineligible. I don’t know the details – so you know more than me.
July 13, 2016 at 15:27
Hi Simon;
I have some questions again related to i-134 affidavit of support and DS260.
1. My sponsor filled i-134 in the place state that (“Relationship to sponsor” they filled “friend”) but they are not my friend, they are friends of my father. So what do you think about this?
2. in the DS260 I have filled in the section “Permanent Address”
Name of person currently living at address: I wrote the name like “John Doe”, but the i-134 that I have received from them they wrote full-name like John Doe Eng. Do you think that I need to unlock the form and change that name in DS260 to be the same as i-134?
Thanks Again Simon for your always help and kind. God bless
July 13, 2016 at 18:15
1. Being your friend is more “compelling” BUT if they question you about your relationship – that is going to be troublesome. If asked you should immediately explain this is a “family friend”.
2. No.
July 13, 2016 at 13:59
Hi
My name is Mohammadullah,i just want to know if it is possible to bring changes to the entries that i had entered in the form ds260, my case nomber is 2017AS00000709.

July 13, 2016 at 11:56

July 14, 2016 at 04:56

July 14, 2016 at 06:12
You don’t need to find it.
July 13, 2016 at 06:41
Hi Brit !!! Actually i wanted to be clear regarding the total no of selectee from Nepal for the year 2017. For 2017 4000 from Nepal are selected for DV program, does this number stand for the case number or the total selectee (applicant plus derivative). I only wanted to know if its the 4000 cases for Nepal that means 4000 are the applicant only.
July 13, 2016 at 13:46
It includes derivatives.
July 13, 2016 at 04:03
Dear mr Brit
Please my sponsor is saying that she has file a resident pernit for her husband and if she sponsor me too,her husband green card will delay?
1. Is it true?
2. Can she sponsor me despite that she has file for her husband?
July 13, 2016 at 04:59
1. Possibly
2. That is up to what she believes…
July 13, 2016 at 06:49
Hello sir
Iam dv winner from Nepal. I have prepared all my documents . I have a question regarding my birth certificate. I prepared it recently because earlier nobody asked for it(it was never needed). So birth certificate has very recent date of registration. will it be viewed as fraudulent one or can it cause any problem.
Thank you very much for ur kind support all the way.
July 13, 2016 at 13:46
If it is official it won’t be seen as fraudulent.
July 13, 2016 at 01:11
Hi Brit..thank for all. My case was approved.. I have a job interview this week in Florida, I will travel tomorrow from Venezuela to Miami and return next Friday. I will explain to Immigrate Officer that only I will stay 3 days in USA. The question is: My green card process will be activated by immigrate officer or I will have some problem about that?, according to your experience!! Thank you
July 13, 2016 at 05:02
No problem.
July 13, 2016 at 00:44
Hi Brits. I was a winner for 2015 and has no chance of interview due to my higher case numbers which was in 66xxx. What is the cut off number for 2016?
July 13, 2016 at 05:03
It is current, but AF highest issued number was around 56000
July 12, 2016 at 23:59
I am legally married to the civil state. my wife had four children from a previous relationship. acts of civil status mentions the name of their father (not mine. I have to take her children to be hoped that they come with me
July 13, 2016 at 00:09
rudeness : Hello. Thanks . thank you for everything
July 13, 2016 at 00:09
They are your step children, so if you are a winner they can be your derivatives.
July 12, 2016 at 23:20
How am I going to view your last reply without scrolling down please
July 13, 2016 at 05:04
I don’t know.
July 12, 2016 at 18:17
What is the cut off number for this year?
July 13, 2016 at 05:09
Which year, which cutoff, which region?
July 12, 2016 at 17:45
Bellow Brit how you doing great man
Today I have one question please
Regarding to the police certificate
It is written that ” unavairable” to some countries in the travel.state website. Does this mean the selected applicant doesn’t need to provied police certificate of the country where he/she used to live before.
Tenx very much.
I always realy appricate your support
July 12, 2016 at 17:48
Where it says unavailable it means the CO will not be expecting a police cert from that country.
July 12, 2016 at 15:28
Dear Mr Simon
I added an entry for my wife because I we got married in March 2016.I have not started filling her entry yet because my wife circumstances changed and will not be able to immigrate with me. She will immigrate in later time but she is not sure, maybe in two or three years. Now I tried to submit my application without her entry but the submit icon does not respond. Why am I not able to submit my application? What should I do?
Please help me submit my application.
Thank you very much for your support.
July 12, 2016 at 16:54
Her application won’t stop your submission. Most likely you are under 26 and there is a selective service link on the last page you need to click before the form will submit.
July 12, 2016 at 14:19
Hi Simon,
my case number is 2017EU00002XXX. I filed my DS260 on June 3rd, and I’m currently in the US on a J1 (two years rule doesn’t apply), so I wanna go for AoS. I read that the KCC would send a second notification letter that they are aware that I want to process my application through the USCIS. So, I sent the KCC an email asking when I would get the 2NL.
Their answer confused me a bit, so maybe you could clarify:
Thank you for your inquiry.
The adjustment of status fee to the Department of State has been paid or indications on your DS-260 show that you wanted to adjust your status in the US. The payment of the adjustment of status fee indicates to KCC that you are residing in the US and wish to process your case at the local USCIS office. As a result, KCC did not continue the processing your case.
To continue this case to consulate processing, please notify KCC with your request.
If you are in the United States, you may be eligible to apply to the Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) for adjustment of status. The option to adjust status may no longer be available to all applicants. To determine whether you are eligible to adjust your status you must contact the USCIS website http://www.uscis.gov to obtain instructions on how to make an appointment with your local USCIS office by using INFO Pass. When contacting your local CIS office they may inform you that you will not be eligible to file your adjustment until your case number is current and available for processing. Please refer to the visa bulletin at http://www.travel.state.gov to view the current case numbers being processed. This bulletin is updated after the 15th day of each month.
If the CIS determines that you are eligible to adjust status you will be required to pay a non-refundable diversity-processing fee of $330.00 per person directly to the Department of State. This fee is assessed to cover cost incurred by the Department of State in running the lottery selection process and is separate from any fees you will need to pay the CIS as part of your adjustment application. Failure to pay this fee may result in the loss of your diversity visa. If you are not approved for your visa or are not granted an interview, this fee cannot be refunded to you under any circumstances. Please mail a money order for the diversity-processing fees to the address given below.
U.S. Department of State
Diversity Visa Program
P.O. Box 979079
St. Louis, Missouri 63197-9000
My questions now are:
1) Do I need to contact the USCIS to check my eligibility? I should be eligible according to my J1 visa (two years rule does not apply), so is this necessary?
2) Will I still get a 2NL, or is this email the 2NL?
3) Do I just proceed with the payment of the $330 DV fee, and wait for the receipt to come back?
Thanks,
Jonathan
July 12, 2016 at 14:36
1. If you have NEVER been out of status, you are eligible.
2. It isn’t the 2NL. When you send your DS260 you get a 2NL (which is simply a letter that says they note your intention to adjust status).
3. You can pay the fee now, yes. They will send you a receipt which you should send in with your I-485 package at the appropriate time.
Everything you could want to know about AOS cases is discussed at the link below. THe spreadsheet on the first post should be your bible.
http://forums.immigration.com/threads/dv-2017-aos-only.331328/
July 12, 2016 at 15:32
Thank you!
One more remark about your answers:
1. What do you mean by never out of status? I’m in the US as a J1 for my PhD. My first J1 said “two years rule does apply”. After it expired I was still in the US since my DS2019 from my school was still valid (visa expired at this time). Then I returned back home and got a new J1 visa (two years rule does NOT apply), and I’m still in the US to finish my degree. Is there any problem with this?
2. Should I contact the KCC once more for the 2NL, or not hassle them? I sent my DS260 on June 3rd.
I will check the spreadsheet. Thank you
July 12, 2016 at 16:52
1. After you have read the spreadsheet I mentioned, ask your question to Sm1smom.
2. No need.
July 12, 2016 at 14:13
Hello Brit,
I am a 2016 DV lottery winner from Accra Ghana. I was supposed to have an interview today with my wife an child. I got married and had the baby before sending the DS 260. In my appointment letter, the beneficiaries were listed. So at the interview, I was my beneficiaries were supposed to fill the DS 260 too. But when u open my case with case number, the beneficiaries were not added to the main applicant. Because of that weren’t interviewed. Pls what can I do?
July 12, 2016 at 14:14
All you can do is talk to the embassy.
July 12, 2016 at 14:12
hi BritSimon
i have a question regarding financial proof for diversity visa .i ‘am very confused about bank statements and how they would be transferred to the usa .i ‘am from Tunisia and i have a bank account in Tunisian currency .would the consular officer accept bank statements in Tunisian currency or i need to have a bank account in us dollar .i learnt that in case the CO accepts the bank statement in Tunisian currency.a document showing its value in us dollar is required .make it clear to me please .
do you think paypal ,skrill printout is acceptable by the CO as financial proof .
thank you
July 12, 2016 at 14:16
Provide whatever proof you can get, but also consider getting a sponsor.

July 12, 2016 at 13:55
I don’t know much about your situation (being a refugee and what documents you have or have not got). So – you must use your best judgement – I do not have an answer for you.
July 12, 2016 at 11:10
Enter your comment here…I have my interview on July 5th, 2016 n the CO told me that my visa is approved n told me to pick up my visa on July 12th, 2016. today is July 12th n ceac shows my case on Ap.what is d problem
July 12, 2016 at 13:57
Some approaved cases show AP in CEAC for a day or two, other cases need actual AP after the interview. I cannot say which type fits your case.
July 12, 2016 at 05:10
Hello Simon.
I have applied for a British Passport and my declaration and, I assume, my online application went to the Liverpool Office; they received my declaration and photos on 30 May. How long does it usually take to issue a passport from the Liverpool office? I live in Australia, will I be required to complete an interview? ( Before you ask, my late parents were English and I have supplied all their birth, marriage and death certificates as well as their British Passports and my own British birth certificate) I am travelling to the UK in November and would like to have it safely in my hands before then.
July 12, 2016 at 14:07
Thank you for your assumption of my omnipotence, but actually I have no idea.
July 11, 2016 at 22:38
Dear Simon,
I was selected in the Dv lottery 2017 in Egypt.
In the Egyptian passport the family names are not specified, so we are confused about THE FAMILY NAMES.
When we applied and filled in E-DV Entry Form, we used the 3rd name in order in the passport as the family name.
Can I fill in form DS-260 using the last name in the passport (4th name in my passport) as the family name even if the family name that won the lottery when applying in E-DV Entry Form was
the 3rd name (not the last name)?
July 12, 2016 at 00:14
For some reason, the way names are handled in Egypt seems to cause a lot of confusion. I would need to understand this better to be able to comment – so if you want, and feel you can trust me, scan your passport/birth cert and email them to britsimon3 at gmail dot com. I can have a look and try and make an informed answer.
July 12, 2016 at 17:54
Thank you for your reply. I already sent you the documents into your email
July 11, 2016 at 21:10

July 11, 2016 at 19:39
Hi Mr.Simon
I have been randomly selected for dv 2017 and I have submitted ds 260 form.
The photograph I used during the dv entry has some shadow effects. do you think it may result in visa denial? If yes what do you suggest me to do?
Thank you
July 12, 2016 at 00:31
That wouldn’t normally cause denial, but in any case there is nothing you can do to change it.
July 11, 2016 at 18:59
Hello Simon
Firstly – thanks very much for all the info on your site, I picked up my visa this week and I’m super excited!
I want to start off in St. Louis as I have friends and family living there – do you know if that airport is a good place to fly into the first time (I found a direct flight), or is it better to fly into one of the bigger airports first and then onwards?
Are there some airports to avoid?
Thanks
c
July 12, 2016 at 00:31
Any international airport is fine.
July 12, 2016 at 10:33
St. Louis is definitely an international airport but on the CBP website it lists is as a ”Service Port”, not a “Port of Entry” – I’m a bit concerned about this? What do you think?
July 12, 2016 at 13:58
Stop overthinking. If you are landing on an international flight you will go through immigration. That is all you need.
July 11, 2016 at 18:34

Hi there, in regards to police checks, do I need to obtain one from my country of birth if I’ve only lived there for the first 11/12 years of my life and have moved to Australia for the rest of my life? (I’m over 30 now). Thanks!

July 11, 2016 at 23:59
Awesome thanks!
July 11, 2016 at 07:29
DEAR MR SIMON,
I THINK I SEND THIS QUESTION WRONGLY TO YOUR OLDER MESSAGE SO AM SENDING IT AGAIN.
1. I TRIED TO GET VISA IN F1/F2 BASIS BEFORE DV 2017 WINNERS WAS RELEASED. ON THE DS160 FORM I FILLED I WAS MARRIED, BECAUSE I WAS LIVING WITH MY GIRL FRIED. WE WERE NOT LEGALLY MARRIED, THOUGHT. AND WE ARE NOT TOGETHER ANYMORE. I DIDN’T GO TO EMBASSY FOR INTERVIEW EITHER. I SAID I AM SINGLE IN MY DS260 FORM. DO YOU THINK THE DATA I FILLED IN THE DS160 WILL INVALIDATE MY VISA CHANCE?
2. I HAVE MA DEGREE AND I HAVE ALL THE DOCUMENTS. BUT I HAVE LOST SOME OF THE DOCUMENTS OF MY BA DEGREE. IS IT OK IF I PROVIDE MY HIGH SCHOOL AND MA DEGREE DOCUMENTS?
July 11, 2016 at 16:13
I answered this already.
July 11, 2016 at 03:33
Dear Sir
I have one question about my Education part. I am learning at two secondary school. From Grade 9 – 11 in one school and pass to Grade 12. And I attend Grade 12 in another High school and I got School Leaving certificate. On the DS-260 form if I write only the senior high school which I attend my Grade 12 and getting school leaving certificate (due to that I didnt finished Grade 12 in the first high school) Is that wrong? or does it have a problem?
Thank you in advance for your information.
Remain Blessed
July 11, 2016 at 04:17
You should list all schools.
July 11, 2016 at 02:51
Hi. Brit. My dv lottery visa was refused. Under section 212(a)(6)C1 and section 212 (a) 2 (A1). Can i appeal against it ?
Can i register for next year dv lottery again?
If my wife win dv lottery next time , will i be eligible to apperar as dependent for dv lottrry
July 11, 2016 at 04:23
Well it is difficult to advise exactly since you don’t explain the exact circumstances. However, both are serious and 212(a)(6)C1 is willful misrepresentation. So – if you lied to try and get the visa you are probably barred for life. The criminal charge might also be serious enough to warrant a lifetime ineligibility.
You can’t appeal.
July 11, 2016 at 02:18
Dear Sir

July 11, 2016 at 04:23
No necessary.
July 10, 2016 at 19:50
Hi Simon:
I am a naturalised British citizen and have relinquished Indian nationality as India doesn’t recognise dual nationality. (I qualify and am selected for DV 2017 based on my wife’s country of birth being Germany). I am filling up form DS 260 at the moment. I am not sure about answer to this question under the *previous nationality* section (On Personal Information 2 page) :
Do you hold a passport from the country/region of origin (nationality) above?
Technically, I still have a passport from India – though it is cancelled now (as I am only a british citizen and no longer an Indian national)
Should I answer yes or no to above question? Common sense tells me that I should answer No because it is a cancelled indian passport which I cannot use for travel and I am not an indian national anymore. What do you think?
July 10, 2016 at 22:33
I doubt your answer would make any difference either way but i agree with your thoughts.
July 25, 2016 at 10:32
Hi Simon:
Hope you’re well!
My wife is selected for further processing for 2017. I have two questions about showing bank balance in the interview :
1)
When she goes for interview can she show funds in my account or the funds have to be in her account? I will be travelling with her as her derivative.
2) how many months bank statements are to be submitted ?
Thanks !

1. You can show funds as a couple.
2. There is no specific rule about that. Take a few months.

Hi Brit..i am from Nepal and my wife has been selected for EDV 2017 her CN is 2017 AS 00018xx.
Lets come to point, actually we both are now here in United Arab Emirates, i am on my employment visa and my wife is under my sponser visa, the main problem is that my UAE visa expired on last week of june. We had submitted our DS 260 on may 28. My Employment visa might get renewed with in one month. My Question are:
1) will my expired UAE visa cause any problem during checking from US government on my profile??
2) How much time will generally US Government take for our background checking after submission of DS 260?
3) Will my current residence in GCC nation cause any negative impression on my background check as i have got police clearence form UAE police also?
Sry as my querries are bit lengthy..
Thanks in advance..

Hi Simon ,
I am from Cambodia, winner of dv 2017. I have filled ds260 form carefully just a bit concern of the place of birth. I was born in poipet commune, ochrov district, banteay meanchey province, Cambodia. And it is the same as my ID card and passport, family book, residential book, marriage certificate. Few years a go the place where I lived change from poipet commune to poipet city and banteay Chey province same as before. I filled in ds260 form at the city of birth I put poipet and state /province I put bateay meanchey. I am really concern because i have filled it in the ds260 form at the city of birth ” poipet “, state/province ” Baneaty Meanchey”, but in my civil docs , poipet is commune, it is not a city yet. It just change the name few years a go.
1. Do you think that this point will effect my case?
2. What is solution about this?
Thanks

hi simon,
i have heard that first visit to the US (activation trip ) has to last for minimum 6 months ,or else i have to get a re entery permit if i want to leave in 1 month . is that correct ?
note: im planing to leave the US for 4 months then i will return back and stay there for ever and i do not want to apply for a re entry permit . do i have to?
July 10, 2016 at 13:37
No that is not correct. You can leave 5 minutes after you arrive, and as long as that first ABSENCE is less than 12 months you don’t need a re-entry permit.

Hi simon,
How are you . I hope you and your family are fine. Simon I have a question related to the I-134 affidavit of support.
1. My uncle in usa filled the form and list my name first on the top and my wife and my son. And in the check box, he checked on intend , and he wrote ” I will provide foods, shelter, air fare tickets, health insurance and all of necessary needs for , wife name xxxxx and his son name xxxxxx when they come to the USA.” I did not see my name in this too , only see my wife and my son. Do you think it will be ok?
2. He just sent to me only i134 and a copy of driver license, and a copy of permanent resident card and a copy of 1040 income tax return.
Is this will be enough?
Thanks Simon for your always help

Mr. Simon,
I am very sorry, may be i was boring with you because i asked many questions.
I didn’t submit my DS260 till now because I am confused about the 2 items below and that i asked about before, but i decided that it is the last time I asked about and only your answer will help me to complete filling my application and send.
I will tell you what i will fill in the DS-260
A) My wife attended one year of four in a college ( in another governate at the same country of nationality), then joined to another one in her main address in which she graduated.
– that study year at the first college ( no official papers ) was 3 months for 1st term then 1 month half year vacation( stay in the address in her village) then 3 months for 2nd term,( she stayed there 2 weeks then 1 week vacation in the main home address during each term )
1- I will list this year in educational institutions, as you told me before, yes ( is it important to be mentioned, it is not completed degree, it may equal nothing in my country
2- will i list that period ( 7 or 6 months as a previous address) or not required because it was temporary and not continuous period ?
B) for me, i graduated in a college ( 5 study years in another governate at the same country of nationality)
– each year from October to May
– 3 months for 1st term then 1 month half year vacation ( stay in my main village) then 3 months for 2nd term
3- for 1st study year i stayed there from Sunday to Thursday ( every week go vacation in my main village Thursday afternoon to Saturday evening ), will i list this as a previous address
4- For the 4 study years after that i only stayed there only 3 days/weak (( may be lass ), there and then back to my main address in my village, i will not list as a previous address as you told me before.
5) finally what i see, i have 2 addresses at the same time during these mentioned periods above 1 main (( which i lived in since birth date and 1 temporary for study only)), if you advised me to list any previous address,
the current address will be ( X ) start living from —- the date after the previous or date of birth.
previous addresses (1) will be ( Y )
previous addresses (2) will be ( X ) start living from the date of birth or date of sixteen
thank you
your response is highly appreciated

Hi simon,
I’m a srilankan who won the DV2016 lottery. And my interview is tomorrow that is on 12th of july 2016. I’m working in qatar and my interview has being scheduled in American embassy, srilanka. I have all the supporting documents except the police certificate from qatar. I have the police certificate from srilanka. I have being living in qatar for 2 years but i always come to srilanka every 4 months or less. But only yesterday i saw that i need to provide a police certificate from the foreign country i’m living as well. I went to qatar through my job which is related to qatar airways. Will this cause denial of my visa? Please reply soon. Thankyou.
July 11, 2016 at 16:15
It will probably cause a delay if you were in Qatar for more than 1 year.

Thanks for your information Mr Simon. Today i faced the interview and they asked some questions about my work experience because i applied for the green card using my work experience. And everything was perfect. But unfortunately they haven’t got the tax transcripts of my sponsor. And he said good luck and gave me a yellow docket mentioning that they need only the tax transcripts of the sponsor to decide the eligibility of my visa. So it is mentioned that if the required documents are not provided within 1 month/year the case number will be closed. But they kept my passport and my other certificates with them. 1Does this indicate that i still have a chance to get a visa? 2)how long will it take for my sponsor to get the tax transcripts in USA? Your response on this will be highly helpful to me. Thankyou.
July 12, 2016 at 13:52
All they would have needed is the 1040 form/W2. This is exactly what I advise in my blog.
Your sponsor should have those documents immediately, but if a transcript is needed that will take about 2 weeks. Do this as quickly as possible – try and get the documents back to the embassy before the end of the month.
July 14, 2016 at 03:51
Hi simon,
Thankyou for your important information. I have submitted the missing tax return transcripts from the sponsor to the embassy. I doubt how long they will take to come to a decision and confirm me. 1)Do you have any idea about the time they take to respond for visa denials under 221(g) Act? 2) And is there any possibility to loose the chances of getting a visa as they are running out due to time taken for further processing? My passport is with them anyway. 3)And i’m having a visa number so will i end up not getting a visa if they were all issued? I’m a bit worried and confused about that.
Thankyou.

1. It varies
2. There is a chance.
3. It should be OK as there are enough visas this year

Thankyou so much for your valuable information simon.
