January 22, 2021 at 19:10
Brit is trump’s health insurance proclamation still in effect or it’s blocked
January 22, 2021 at 20:02
It is coming back into effect – so when interviews start it will probably be required.
January 23, 2021 at 11:32
So is it ok if my sponsor states in his i-34 that he will buy me health insurance once i get there.
January 23, 2021 at 17:10
That’s OK

Dear britsimon, thank very much for you help. I send the email to kcc about submition of supporting documets hear below kcc respons pls.make clear. Thank you.
Thank you for your inquiry.
Your DS-260 has been processed. You should have received, or will soon receive, an email from the Kentucky Consular Center giving you instructions to complete in order for your case to continue processing. Please follow the instructions in the email. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing. Please refer to the visa bulletin at travel.state.gov to locate the current numbers being processed. This bulletin is updated after the 15th day of each month. Once an interview date has been scheduled, you will receive notification via email to check dvlottery.state.gov.
Scheduling for the DV 2021 program year has not yet begun. Please monitor Travel.State.gov for updates. Selectees will be notified by an email to the address they provided to check the Entrant Status Check (ESC) website as soon as an interview is scheduled. KCC cannot provide information as to when an interview date may become available for your case. Interviews are scheduled numerically according to assigned case numbers which have completed processing. The Department of State designates how many interviews will be scheduled each month according to visa availability. You may refer to the visa bulletin at travel.state.gov for the list of current numbers. This information is updated on the 15th day of each month thereafter. Please remember that selection for participation in the Diversity Visa Program is not a guarantee of a visa or of a visa interview.
In order for the Kentucky Consular Center to assist with inquiries regarding a specific Diversity Visa (DV) case, you must provide the Principal Applicant’s full name, complete case number, and date of birth in the following format (MMDDYYYY) as entered on the original entry. Please remember that the Kentucky Consular Center does not have the authority to tell you whether or not your specific case will be disqualified. Only a consular officer can do that at the time of your visa interview. Do not send any paper documents to the Kentucky Consular Center.

Hi Brit, what are the requirements for F-1 visa and how do I get myself well prepared (both for interview) to avoid beeb denied the F-1 visa

January 22, 2021 at 21:43
Hello Simon,
I won in DV2019 and my interview was scheduled at the US embassy in Djibouti, but I did not go to the interview because we had to ban 9654 as I am from Yemen.
-Will my file with the embassy be reviewed after Biden’s decision to stop the ban ??
-Do i have a chance to get the visa?
January 22, 2021 at 21:49
No & No.
January 22, 2021 at 22:23

January 22, 2021 at 22:59
It’s very high, yes, but all you can do is wait and see.
January 23, 2021 at 01:08
Hi Brit,
So after the lifting of the ban on traveling was lifted can you assume when interviews for first batch of dv lottery will take place?
Thank u.
January 23, 2021 at 06:29
I dont know.
January 23, 2021 at 01:09
Hi Brit and who ever friends who read this, Iam a DV 2021 winner from an Asian country and this time we have a significant no of selectees from our country. ( I dnt mention the name of my country but it is not nepal or iran). We have a social media grup and most of grup members are with very high case nos. Iam so suprised with their poor knowledge regarding DV process. They dnt know the meaning VB, they dnt know what means, vb is current? yestrday when latest vb is released it was cut off 6200 for Asia.. So each of them arguing what is d meaning of that? whether it means 6200 visas available for asia?????? i really dnt know why people behave like this after having various source of information.. Further as Afric region got chances for AF30Xxx, they feel AS30XXX will also get a chance …For more fun, there is a member with a case no higher than As 23xxx, he has renewed his pass port already which will expire on 2023. ( OMG).. my case no being medium low, i have understood the current situation n made up my mind, but these ppl with high case nos think that they might get a chance with increase in DV quota as biden proposed… If i write, i can write for years…
But no point… I had a chat with my friend in the same grup, she said she doesnt know how these people gonna survive in USA without understanding basic dv process, in case if they got visa?
January 23, 2021 at 06:57
I’m confused too and no one explain the vb rights! I don’t know why the case number for asia selectees are high up to 60k while finally they will select 54000 from all of the world… Now my case number is AS14k is that high too or there is a chance?
Thanks!
January 23, 2021 at 17:02
I have explained the numbers a number of times. But you need to read an article or watch a video.
As for your chance – wait and see when interviews start.
January 23, 2021 at 17:32
Thanks for responding and I’m sorry for asking more because I don’t want to make mistakes or lossing this opportunity, but do I need to wait for an interview or adjust of status only? Because now I’m legally inside the USA.
My concern with my case number AS14k do I need to combine Asia with iran and nepal or only wait for asia?
My confusion because some selectees with high CN they asking for ds 260 and interviews and I want to be in the safe side.
January 23, 2021 at 17:39
Your question is not clear.
Read the FAQ to understand your case number and the VB.
January 23, 2021 at 02:16
Dear Sir,
I didn’t found answer in FAQ
Kindly, help me
I’am Dv 2021 winner with 20k case number and i intend to submit ds-260 app in this week .
My last name in my passport is ( Abdelati ) .
And my daughter’s last name in her passport is (abdalatti ).
There is a difference in the last name.
What i should do in this case ?
Does this cause my daughter’s or visa to be refused?
Thank you
January 23, 2021 at 06:28
Bo problem, but correct it if it is an error.
January 23, 2021 at 13:18
I think you meant to say (No) problem, right ?
Honestly, if I want to correct the name it will take a long time, up to 6 months, and I don’t want to take the risky situation.
Thank you
January 23, 2021 at 17:14
Yes, no problem.
January 23, 2021 at 03:36

January 23, 2021 at 05:03
Hello Brit
I wanted to ask you something…
If PP10014 is lifted and we will be allowed to enter, Can I enter alone without my husband because he has his father very sick and is thinking to stay by his side?
I am the DV lottery selectee so the principal…

January 24, 2021 at 13:42

Hi Brit!
Anything on Anunciato hearing yesterday?
January 23, 2021 at 16:59
I posted a video on my channels.
January 23, 2021 at 06:50
Hello Brit, how are you?
Can I ask you if in the mean time that I wait for my interview I can go to the USA with my esta if people will be allowed to go , and then marry to my fiancé and in couple of months be back for my interview?
Also, can my daughter go to public school there while we are waiting for our interview?
January 23, 2021 at 17:00
No. Do things properly.
January 23, 2021 at 17:12
Sorry mr Brit, I don’t understand if the no is regarding traveling there before my interview even if I ll be back in my home country a couple of months after, or is regarding my daughter going to school there or getting married. What is not okey?
January 23, 2021 at 17:22
Everything. Just wait for your interview, so that you are not violating the terms of your ESTA, not using services you don’t pay for and so on.
January 23, 2021 at 17:35
Sorry mr Brit again,
Let’s say that I go there and I get married to my fiancé who is American and I come back way before my esta expires and my daughter won’t go to school there until we go back to the states with our green card after our interview, is that okey?
January 23, 2021 at 17:37
Yes
January 23, 2021 at 17:47
Thank you so much for your help mr Brit. I do t wanna do anything illegal nor break any terms of esta. We just want to see each other and be together because even tho we are not married yet we are a family and he is the father of my daughter even tho is not the biological one. Thank you so much again. I will make sure that I will go back to my country before the 3 months esta and I will attend my interview with my daughter and then finally go back! Thank you very very much Brit!!! You are always here to help us! This means a lot
January 23, 2021 at 07:14
Hi Simon,
I am DV2021 winner with 2xxx and I planned to bring only the support of affidavit at the interview . We are family with 2 children and my sponsor made 66k a year, will it be enough to proceed the visa ?
Or should I add a bank statement? ( I have no money on my account)
Thank you for your help.
January 23, 2021 at 17:04
THe I-134 will be enough.
January 23, 2021 at 08:57
Hi Brit, how are you?
I am a winner of the DV, 2021 my case number is 2021AF55XXX.
I have often searched on Google for escort girls or prostitutes in the United States.
I once did another google search on how to hack an Instagram account.
1- I would like to know if this could penalize me for obtaining my visa and if I will be considered a danger for the security of the United States for having researched escort girls and prostitutes in the United States and the fact for doing the research on Google on how to hack an Instagram account.
2- do you think i could be on the fbi because of this?
Thanks Brit
January 23, 2021 at 17:07
1. No
2. No
January 25, 2021 at 08:59
???
January 23, 2021 at 09:08
Hi Brit. DV2021 winners here. We completed the DS260 in June and send documents in September. Last September my husband changed job. Should we ask KCC to unlock the DS260 so we can add the new job or not? Thanks
January 23, 2021 at 17:08
No need.
January 23, 2021 at 11:14
In the years 2010-2015, we saw the Visa Bulletin hit numbers 60k and 70k without becoming a current
Is it possible to see something like that this year
January 23, 2021 at 17:09
We need to wait and see.
January 23, 2021 at 12:39
Hi Brit Simon,
We dearly appreciate much work you are doing to get us informed.
This is Carolyne DV 2021 AF69K from Kenya.
I have already submitted my DS-260 . I just realized that I made a mistake on my daughters application about Social Security Number Information where its asked
Do you want the Social Security Administration to issue a Social Security number and a card? I put NO, instead of YES.
a) Is it necessary to unlock the DS-260 to correct the error,
b) I wait and correct it at the interview ?
Thank you.
January 23, 2021 at 17:11
B.
January 23, 2021 at 12:48
Dear Simon
Condolences for your mother brother- peace to you ❤️
I saw your responses regarding the vaccination question in the ds260- I also have proof of vaccines but have no idea if they are in line with the US regulation.
I still put yes-
Is it necessary that I unlock my form and put no?
My number is current and I received the ready for scheduling email.
Thank you Dear
January 23, 2021 at 16:10
The question in the DS260 [Security and background] says:
NOTE: Provide the following security and background information …. Please note that should you answer Yes to any of the following questions, you may be requested to provide documentation to support your explanation.
it seems to me that its better to say NO and than to make explanation …
January 23, 2021 at 17:20
Jeez. When will people learn to just be truthful.
January 23, 2021 at 17:41
most truthful answer on this question for most Europeans is – we don’t know! LOL
but, it seems that we have to answer NO to be “truthful” 🙂
January 23, 2021 at 17:11
No need to change that.
January 23, 2021 at 12:52
Does anyone have detailed information about quarantine. If we enter the USA, will we be accommodated in a hotel (which will cost us a lot $$$$) or will we go under house quarantine for 14 days.
January 23, 2021 at 17:12
No plans are final yet.
January 23, 2021 at 13:00
Hello Brit
We are a married couple with EU10k. We sent our documents already and we got the email saying it would take around 3-6 weeks to review. Six weeks have passed just now and we didn’t receive any email with any further instructions yet. Should we wait a bit longer as our number is not current yet or should we contact them?
Thank you
January 23, 2021 at 17:12
Keep waiting. The 6 weeks is nonsense.
January 23, 2021 at 13:05
Dear Mr. Britt Simon, I’m DV2020 winner from Kyrgyzstan (one of the countries banned by Trump, now thanks to Biden again eligible to enter USA) , case number EU000444**, we hadn’t been invited to the interview before the ban and COVID-19 issues.
1 question: Do you think we have any chanses to be invited to the interview?
What should we do to increase chanses?
2 question: we used to live in China for several years, our police clearance certificates as of August 2019 have already expired. We can not enter China now due to COVID-19 (China closed all borders), do you think we can provide these police clearance docs to the embassy? There is no way we can update our police clearance certificates from China!
Thanks
JK
January 23, 2021 at 17:14
1. Maybe. Al you can do is wait for the Gomez case decision.
2. Read the reciprocity page.
January 23, 2021 at 13:39
Dear Brit,
The most interesting part of the yesterday hearing (Annunciator Vs Trump) was that:
1 The Government lawyer had the same approach as the lawyers of the Trump Administration. She defend the case with the same arguments, strength, and decision to oppose the lift of the ban.
2. There was not much or nothing argument or requests to the Judge to give a solution to the Issued Visas not able to travel.
Regards
January 23, 2021 at 17:17
1. Of course, that is her job.
2. You didn’t pay attention. THat was discussed.
January 23, 2021 at 19:48
Dear Brit,
Regarding the yesterday hearing the Biden Administration Lawyer said:
“new administration is reviewing the proclamation suspending entry of immigrants as a response to unemployment during the coronavirus pandemic, but that “regarding the legal arguments that have been made, I don’t believe our position changes.”.
So it is very very very clear that the new administration is not going to make any change to the PP10014.
Therefore the truth is, without distracted by our political views, that the only hope to lift the Ban is from the Judge and if not we hope the PP to expire and not any more extended.
Regards
January 23, 2021 at 20:41
Nonsense. Do you really think that Ms Smith is read in about what the Biden administration is planning, just 2 days into the new administration. For goodness sake.
January 23, 2021 at 15:02
Hello, Mr Brit, thanks for the great job your doing with this website.
I have a question.
Since I hope to become current, CN 2021EU00021XXX. I’m preparing my documents, when I went to pick up the police certificate they asked me if I need the apostille, I said no because I never heard about it but now I’m wondering what is it, and if my Certificate is ok without it.
Thanks in advance.
January 23, 2021 at 17:18
Not normally needed. Check the reciprocity page for that country.
January 23, 2021 at 17:52
Hi Brit, I am dv2021 winner and ready for schedule but my sponsor for the support of Affidavit made less money than he used to make. He sent me the federal tax returns of the previous years ( 2018 it was 60k and 2019 was 87k) and will send me the one of 2020 soon but he already told me that he was partially unemployed due to covid19.
Will that affect my case at the interview?
Thank you brit for everything.
January 23, 2021 at 17:57
It could do, yes, because of course they will want the 2020 data.
January 23, 2021 at 18:17
Hi Simon,
21AS38XX
I am thinking of changing my sponsor (my last person available) and have some questions;
1) I was told the person providing the i-134 will have had to be working for atleast 1 year before being able to provide an i-134 & its supporting docs (W2, payslips). Is this true? What if the person has worked for 6 months to date but however has a pay of 55k/year?
2) Does the term “household size” refer to the person’s dependents? The person to whom I will ask is living with her family, but is the daughter and no one depends on her. Both her parents are working and so does she. In that case, is that fine?
Regards
January 23, 2021 at 18:54
1. You can try.
2. Yes – that means just her, plus your family size.
January 23, 2021 at 18:55
Hello Brit,
I got two questions:
1. I’ve seen someone mentioning an insurance proclamation by Trump. What is it and where can I read about it?
2. My case number is AF31xxx and I have been refraining from submitting my DS-260. Should I submit now or wait?
Thank you.
January 23, 2021 at 19:23
1. https://britsimonsays.com/how-to-handle-new-healthcare-requirement-for-the-interview/
2. You could submit soon.
January 23, 2021 at 19:04
Hi BritSimon,
The visa numbers are not increasing as expected.
1. Will that affect people with higher case numbers ?
2. By comparing this month -march to 2020 , March ,there is very very retrogression …
Should we expect case numbers to increase ?
January 23, 2021 at 19:22
It is as expected when they are not scheduling interviews.
1. Yes (not because of the numbers on the VB, but because we are losing time)
2. It’s a matter of when interviews will start.
January 23, 2021 at 19:33
What case number is asked for further documents to be submitted in AF region? please let us know
January 23, 2021 at 20:39
I don’t track that, because at times they would have sent document requests to higher case numbers.
January 23, 2021 at 20:25
Hello Brit, hope you’re ok, i’m dv2021 i have a question about I-134 Form my case number is 29K AF and i have read that the form will expire in two months is that true? and if, in your opinion when i should ask my sponsor to send me the form?
thank you!
January 23, 2021 at 20:43
You should ask for that when you receive your 2NL, because the supporting documents should be recent.
January 23, 2021 at 20:25
Hi Simon, I don’t know if you see these. But I am the lady that is applying for an NIE on the grounds of technical worker with my husband that you read during your live stream. We are both in Mexico and have been since dec 12th. We tried entry on the 1st and were withdrawn with no consequences (they said).
However, now we have booked a new flight, because we need the itinerary in order to apply for the NIE and our flight has been suspended and we don’t understand why or how we stand here.
According to the airline we are flagged and need to speak to the embassy, have you ever encountered a situation like this before?
January 23, 2021 at 20:44
It’s not that you are flagged, but they know there is a block on the immigrant visas. I understand you are in a terrible position, but I suspect that you will need to wait until the 29th to see what Biden does, and as a fallback, to see what the Judge in the Annunciator case does.
January 23, 2021 at 21:21
I could see that PP 100114 is not more there … not at WH website 🙂
https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/proclamation-suspending-entry-immigrants-present-risk-u-s-labor-market-economic-recovery-following-covid-19-outbreak/
January 23, 2021 at 22:48
That is because the new administration replaced the website with their own. It does NOT mean that PP10014 is gone.
January 24, 2021 at 00:44
Hlw brit
Did new president ended the immigration ban now or not

January 24, 2021 at 06:18
Hi Brit,
As DV2021 selectee, I have sent the requested documents to the KCC recently. My primary occupation answer was retired in DS260 form. In fact, I retired in 2008, and then I worked for sevaral companies in private sector later. The only thing I did not mention about my retirement company since it was before 2008 and last 4th company in the order. Now, I think whether it was necessary or not? I am not sure does it mean that did I give some lack of info to KCC?
January 24, 2021 at 17:17
Do they ask for the last 10 years of history?
January 24, 2021 at 06:28
Hello Brit.
sincere condoleances to you and hope you are doing well.
Please i just want to know, when will the verdict of anunciatio case’s judge be known ??
Usually judges let everybody know the next gathering date at the end of the previous one ! isnt it?
January 24, 2021 at 17:16
Judges arrange dates for hearings, not decisions. I do not expect him to make a decision before the 29th, which is when Biden is due to make some more immigration related changes.
January 24, 2021 at 07:31
Hi Brit,
AS DV 2021 selectee;
anyone working in US officially like H1-B visa, but not yet received GC, can he fill the I-134 form to be supportive for getting visa?
How much salary at least should he earn to be enough for being supportive?
What is latest time for medical exam before meeting the CO?
Thanks
January 24, 2021 at 17:14
No.
You arrange the medical according to local procedures.
January 24, 2021 at 14:19
Hello brit, i’m currently working as a freelancer on fiverr.com but it’s NOT a full time job should i put it on ds260 or not employed is the best option? thank you so much.
January 24, 2021 at 17:12
Unemployed.
January 24, 2021 at 15:54
Hi Brit !
Its been 4 months and 10 days since I submitted my documents to KCC but haven’t heard anything from them yet ! Should I wait until my case number nears to be in visa bulletin or should I mail them to know the status of my case ? (Case number: 6.5k from Nepal)

Good Morning Brit.
I trust you are fine. I just want to know if DV holders living in the US qualify to receive the cash benefit for the corona virus package recently passed by the Congress. Thanks

HI Simon,
Hope you are well and safe these days with corona. I do have a question that you have kind of answered in your YouTube channel. I am a 2018 DV winner and did my interview, medical check, biometrics and all and I was refused based on PP9645. In your video you said its all done, but I was wondering if you think if somebody starts a lawsuit, would be a chance, even a small one, that a judge might order the embassies to reconsider these cases and issue the visas?
I want to know if I should just forget about it or there might be a chance, even so slightly for me to be able to obtain my visa?
Thank you so very much and I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Aria

There is no chance. Each year operates within it’s fiscal year boundaries. At the end of September, the year is over. The reason we are still talking about DV2020 at all, is because we achieved a court order to reserve some visas to be issued later. Without that court order (which was given on the final day of September) we would not have a chance. So – DV2018 is done. The only people that could go back that far are cases through family based petitions and so on, which are not time bound.

Well this should not be a surprise to anyone at all. 14 day quarantine periods prior to entering the USA is a nuisance, but not as impactful as an arbitrary complete ban. This is the same thing I have said under the Trump administration also.
The reality is the COVID crisis is not over. People need to understand that, and that America will prioritize human life over inconvenience for some people.

Hello Brit.
Hope you’re doing well.
Please i just saw a note saying that US embassy in New Delhi ( India ) would start delivering H1-B visas..and other types.
How should we consider this information ? How is it that the ban is still in place and People would be given H1-B visas ? Should we see through this decision any signal or clue about next friday immigration’s decisions to be made ?

Hi,
I remember as if last 12 years were asked for in job profession. But, I have not seen within the DS260 form. So, I am confused why I filled it only for 12 years. If someone remembers I would be glad to see any reply.
Regards

Hi there. If my case number won’t be current in the visa bulletin, would my participation in the lawsuit be useless? CN 2021EU16XXX
January 25, 2021 at 13:55
I don’t think any lawsuit is open for new plaintiffs anyway.

Dear Simon,
Thank you for all the support with DV lottery issues to future immigrants!
After watching your video back in September we took necessary actions and were able to obtain our long-struggled DV-2020.
After obtaining visas we booked air flights and accommodation through Airbnb web-site for beginning of January 2021 but had to cancel due to PP10014 prolongation. We decided to cancel the accommodation booking due to uncertainty, however, Airbnb does not agree to make a refund although our case meets their Extenuating Policy. They claim that PP10014 prolongation is linked to Covid-19 pandemic which makes it impossible as that was covered by their Policy before March 2020.
It is obvious that the PPs were issued only for immigration ban purposes, otherwise why travel to the USA is not banned as well.
Could this issue be mitigated in court? Is there a substance to win the case? May I contact you in person via email?
Thank you in advance!
Assel

Their COVID cancellation policy treats case differently if booked after March 14. It seems clearly stated. I don’t know if a lawyer could help.
