Dear Brit Simon
Just to shortly inform you, that I arrived with my family to the USA few days ago, after DV immigrant visa was approved on 14th July and issued on 20th July 2021 (my spouse was 2021 principal selectee, case number below EU2500);so, after the DS260 submission in mid march 2021, it took us exactly 4 moths for whole process to finish and our visas to be issued (US embassy in Zagreb, Croatia).
There was absolutely no problem at the POE, it took us maybe 10 minutes to be fully approved by the border control officer.
Now patiently waiting for the SSNs and GCs to arrive at the DS260 notified home address.
Thank you very much for all your advises, instructions and help, and wish you and all your family all the best. I also wish all 2020, 2021 and 2022 selectees a lot of luck and success in their US GC mission!
I will definitely continue to follow you blog, and YT videos! THANK YOU VERY MUCH ONE MORE TIME!

GanDra, Didn’t they require you for a Covid-19 vaccine before allowing into the country??
August 8, 2021 at 15:01
That is not a requirement at this time. However, a negative test is required.
August 20, 2021 at 18:30
@Tom we needed to have max 3 days old negative Covid-19 test (PCR or antigen), but – interesting – nobody asked us to present the test before entering US.
Going back to Europe is more complicated, the rules are crazy and very different from one state to another, and personally I recommend getting Covid-19 passport / to be fully vaccinated , because COVID-19 testing in US is quite expensive.
Good luck!
August 8, 2021 at 14:48
Awesome! Welcome to the USA!

Hello Simon,
If I have a university degree (Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering), is it okay to just provide my university degree and not my high school degree at the interview?
Thank you.
August 6, 2021 at 17:26
A university degree doesn’t guarantee that it will be accepted. They are looking for 12 years of high school education(US equivalent). It’s the CO’s decision if he wants to see all of your papers so better to be prepared.
August 6, 2021 at 21:18
This is not true, the requirement says high school certificate ( pass in English and Maths and any other 3 papers, HND or HNC, university diploma or degree or higher certificate.
August 8, 2021 at 14:49
@Samuel – Blanka is correct.
August 8, 2021 at 14:46
You should carry high school education as well as your degree details to the interview.
August 6, 2021 at 16:02

August 6, 2021 at 10:27
Hi, Brit,
I am dv2021 winner, I submitted my ds260, and then realized that I had mistake regarding adding my mother’s surname at birth, I filled that blank with her current surname, but her surname at birth is different, some people say it is not a problam as they are not coming with you, But I wanted to know when they get my birth certificate (in which my mother’s surname is her surname at birth), will they reject to give my visa? or do you suggest to email them, or provide some additional documents? thanks in advance!
August 8, 2021 at 14:41
You can clarify this at interview.
August 6, 2021 at 09:51
Hi Brit,
I’m a DV2021 winner and my interview has already been scheduled and I’m currently an international student living abroad. My birth certificate which I had sent to the KCC, had been translated by consulate of my country in the country in which I’m currently studying. Is that acceptable by CO during the interview? Or I must get my birth certificate translated by a certified translator?
August 8, 2021 at 14:41
The translation you have should be OK.
August 6, 2021 at 09:11

hello Simon
I need some your help
my wife and I have won dv2022. we are now in the process of getting divorce. I have 2 questions.
1. as she doesn’t want anymore accompany me to the USA, are we supposed to fill out and send her application form and if the answer is yes while responding the question ” Is your spouse immigrating to the U.S.with you?” in her form which answer is the correct one? “yes” or “no”? (I notice that in my form I chose “no” for the same question.)
August 8, 2021 at 14:40
No is the correct answer and she would not need to complete a DS260 for her.
August 10, 2021 at 08:26
Dear Simon,
As I explained before, my wife and I have won the US lottery 2022 and because we’re in the process of getting divorced, she and our son won’t accompany me for the interview step.
1.You told me in such a situation I shouldn’t fill their forms. The problem is I wasn’t aware of this rule and unfortunately I filled and submit my son’s form and my wife’s form is already incomplete. Would you please conduct me that what I should do now?
2.Since it was written at the beginning of Form DS-260 “Before we can process your Diversity Visa application, each applicant in your case must complete Form DS-260, the Online Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application.” is my wife’s form incomplete a problem?
Thank you
August 14, 2021 at 00:07
1. It doesn’t matter, you can remove their forms, so leave it as it is.
2. No
August 6, 2021 at 08:36
Hi Britt,
I am 2022 winner and my case number is AS41xx , I already submit my DS 260 , unfortunately my Passport was lost, my question is
1 – when KCC request document , i need to sent old passport copy and new passport together (OR)

August 8, 2021 at 14:39
Submit the DS260 with the new passport details, but when sending documents, submit old and new passports.
August 6, 2021 at 06:27
I am a DV21 winner (AF55***) and waiting for my documents to be reviewed by KCC. I have also been admitted into a PhD program in the US and I am eligible to apply for an F1 visa in readiness for my studies starting on September 1. I wanted to find out if there is a possibility of pursuing an AOS process in my case or it would be too late or not allowable. Thanks for all the help
August 8, 2021 at 14:38
That would be too late.
August 6, 2021 at 05:52
Hi Brit
I am 2021 winner with a number of EU165XX. I have sent all documents with DS260 form upon request of KCC in May. But I have not received any reply for the interview so far, and now I have just noticed that my summary information page shows that my application is completed . Is not it be locked now since I completed DS260 form and was sent to KCC previously.
Should I resend all documents again?
Thanks
August 8, 2021 at 14:37
No need at this point.

August 6, 2021 at 05:05
Hi Brit Simon,
We would like to know if CO reject during interview if we have not completed the vaccinations according to the US law.
As we don’t have time to get fully vaccinated for hepatitis. We would be able to take only dose1 for this vaccination before interview.
Will it effect the interview.
Thanks for your valuable suggestions.
August 6, 2021 at 05:30
That would not cause a problem.
August 6, 2021 at 03:04
Hlo brit sir

August 6, 2021 at 05:25
The DV case could impact the NIV, yes.
August 6, 2021 at 00:37
Hi Sir
I am at interview processing stage, no 2NL
I am thoroughly confused about what is happening. On twitter, some sources say that no interviews were scheduled at Abu Dhabi for September. Other sources say that interviews were scheduled but specifically only for Iranians outside UAE. The former makes sense as I didn’t see any new “ready” cases as per latest update from SaveDiversityVisa. The latter also makes sense because around 4-5 months ago, AD embassy were not agreeing to schedule/transfer Iranian cases to AD for interview, but at that time they mentioned on their website that “Iranian DV interviews will begin in late July”, so I understand if they now chose to schedule Iranians only. However, their quoted statement above has now disappeared from their website.
Pretty contradicting, right? And now here comes my case…I am an Iranian citizen who is a resident of UAE (not coming to AD from Iran for interview). I have still not gotten my interview despite me being an Iranian AND already living in UAE. Isn’t it easier for them to schedule me? I really don’t understand what is happening. I have gotten interview processing email various times from KCC and sent several emails to embassy to no avail.
I’m sorry for the long post but I am just confused, tired, and don’t know what else I can do. It is depressing really.
Regards
August 6, 2021 at 05:23
It depends on when you became DQ.
August 6, 2021 at 00:09
hi brit
i am planning to stay at my host address for a week then i will live on my own in that case
can i change the address where my ssn and green card will be delivered to new address?
does that delay on getting my green card?
August 6, 2021 at 05:14
hello Simon! dv2022 here!
1) I had been in a relationship for 5 years and got married on march 2021, but however we have been living in different cities in our country for work. Do you think this will “question” our marital status for the embassy? We have all the required documents to prove our work and also our marriage(except wedding video).
2) I am bit scared as we wouldn’t be able to produce the video(if we are asked at the interview) because it was a small ceremony. Is it a must?
August 6, 2021 at 05:34
1. It should be OK.
2. No. Provide other evidence.
August 6, 2021 at 05:21
They address they have at the time you enter the USA is where it will be sent.
August 5, 2021 at 23:00
Hi Brit
Sorry for the repeated request.
Some selectees from 2021 used to say that they are not Documentarily Qualified because their Passport has now less than 6 months of expiration (actually expires this month) . Would it be wise to send renewed Passport to KCC anyways?
August 6, 2021 at 05:20
I already answered this. It’s nonsense.
August 5, 2021 at 22:16
I have question
first am a dv winner with CN 2022AS5XXX, when I filled the DS-260 I just mention that I have diploma (two years in college, and I didn’t mention that I have finished my highschool, do I need to request to open again my file and fix it? another question which maybe its hard for me to explain easily but I will try. My spouse she left with her mom in 2003 to the states with normal B1/B2 visa and on that time they applied for asylum and she was 16 on that time and she was under her mom name in the asylum, in 2008 she just packed her stuff and left the states without getting any respond for the case that her mom make, after years and in 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2020 which is more than “10 years ban” they refused her visas 4 times to go and visit her mom whom have right now the US citizen, all the above I mentioned in her form when I filled it up, is that a problem that will effect our case and get denied?
thanks
August 6, 2021 at 05:19
Fix the DS260.
I can’t predict the outcome with such repeated denials.
August 5, 2021 at 20:07
Hi my dear Simo,
My mom is 2021 DV winner and she has completed all documentation and get email that she need to wait for interview date. Today I read about sponsor that someone wants to change. My question about sponsor? Do we need to put sponsor information on DS 260 form? I know that after interview they will ask does she need sponsor or not. Also, I want to say that she has an account on bank with saving money, and she put her daughter address that she will stay.
August 6, 2021 at 05:18
No need to have the sponsor on the DS260 read the FAQ about the I-134.
August 5, 2021 at 19:53
I am OC2200 which I know is high.Is there any reason I should choose consular processing in Australia, where I am from over adjustment of status as I am currently in the US on a 01. Due to Covid the consulate in Sydney is currently closed and it is hard to get there from the US, so I am inclined to choose doing it here, but wonder if there are other factors I should consider? Thank you very much
August 6, 2021 at 05:16
Year?
August 5, 2021 at 19:31
Hello Simon
1) I have attended 2 universities, I attended one of them for a year but I don’t have a certificate from it, should I included it as well
2) I have a police certificate from 3 years ago but I didn’t go back that, would it be sufficient?
August 6, 2021 at 05:16
1. Yes
2. Yes

August 5, 2021 at 18:02
Hi Brit! I read the Luka’s comment, in your video of July 28, 2021: “I have inside information from my embassy that they will contact KCC once DQ. I believe Goh will cause some action” How the Embassy knows when someone is DQ? I thought that KCC was in charge of checking if someone is DQ and then reporting it to the Embassy. Am I wrong?

Hello Brit!
2022 EU19xxx here, main applicant – we realised my husband didn’t add the address of 2 places where he lived (1 in a different county than our country of residence). He lived for 5 months in Oman where he worked, he did declare that he worked there but didn’t put the address in ‘places he’ s lived’. Should we unlock?
Thank you!

My son’s passport will be expired within 10 months.
Should I get the new passport before sending docs? (I have already submitted the DS-260)
Or I can take both, the old and the new passport, to the visa office at the day of interview?
Thank you for your time.

August 5, 2021 at 06:10
Dear Brit Simons good morning from Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
First of all, thanks for your attention and my question is about interviews.
You know, my case number is 2021EU6XXX was ready for sceduling almost 8 month ago and still didn’t get any news from KCC or US Embassy in Tashkent yet.
I wrote them 3 times but always got the same answer: ” your case is ready to be scheduled and KCC can no longer unlock your application”.
August 5, 2021 at 14:00
I can’t predict what will happen in your case.
August 5, 2021 at 04:56
pardon me if you think i did not do my homework. there are a lot of questions posted and hard to find the right answer.
for high case number DV2022, what will happen if DS260 is submitted early. will it be rejected or put it away for some times? how to make the best timing of submitting DS260 in order to save time as well as not to pass fiscal year.
Guide me if i need to read a particular post of yours or video.
Thanks
August 5, 2021 at 05:15
I am dv2021 winner.
I have interview fixed on 20th august.
Please help me with some questions.
Can i change my sponsor name and address during the invterview?Actually, my sponsor are relatives and they are offering me job in there restaurant for 920$ bi-weekly which i think is very low. And asked me to sign the offer and agreement letter. In return they will prepare affidavit of support for me. As i have already included there name and address in ds-260 form
So the main question is will i have any problem if i change my sponsor name?
And next question is in substitute of affidavit of support can i provide the bank balance statement of my husband account and tax paper? Because i do part-time jobs only.
August 5, 2021 at 13:58
You can change at the interview if you want.
August 5, 2021 at 13:57
There is no such thing as too early. Read the guide linked above.
August 5, 2021 at 17:03
i came to know after reading posts that it is better to submit DS260 only when case number is like to be current in 3 months. isn’t it true?
August 5, 2021 at 04:47
Hi Simon,
I have got a confirmation that KCC changed my interview place and told me that interview will be scheduled according to the new interview place as follows.
“Thank you for your inquiry.
Your interview location is Addis Ababa and will be used by KCC for scheduling purposes. When we have scheduled your interview, you will be required to log into the Entrant Status Check (ESC) to view your appointment notification. At that time, please verify that your appointment is scheduled for the correct post. If for any reason it is not, you may contact KCC again at [email protected].”
1. Is it possible to change in my ds 260 after my interview is scheduled because unlocking ds 260 takes time?
2. IF it is not should I ask KCC to unlock my ds 260 and change the interview location?
Please I am waiting for your swift reply.
God Bless you Simon.
August 5, 2021 at 13:56
1, No
2. No
August 5, 2021 at 01:19
Hi Brit,
I received confirmation after submitting my DS260 form. 2022OC15XX. Just few questions.
1. As you mentioned, for DV2022 it is wise to submit documents without being requested. However as per the requirements, police clearance needs to be submitted with the other supporting documents hence the police clearance is only valid for 6 months. Approaching the time for interviews it is likely that the police clearance will lapse the 6 months validity. Should I be getting another police clearance prior to interview?
August 5, 2021 at 12:19
Hi there. If I may…please when did you submit your DS 260 and when did the confirmation e mail come. Would you be kind enough to share what the content of the mail was . Thanks
August 5, 2021 at 21:46
Hi, I received an email stating the DS 260 form has been submitted. Thanks

August 5, 2021 at 14:09
Happy for you! I am waiting patiently- have been 30 days now.
August 6, 2021 at 11:06
Were you notified in your email that your DS260 was unlocked?
August 9, 2021 at 04:01
can you share the format you sent the unlock request? Once we do the corrections, are we getting another confirmation email?
August 4, 2021 at 23:45
Dear brit, How are you ?
I’m Goh plaintiff my case number is 2021AS27***. My case still at KCC unprocessed. Charles kuck mentioned today that some of goh plaintiffs were scheduled.
1 – Do you think I am gonna get some action too on my case before 30th september?
2 -Today KCC email me back after a month that they received my Documents and they are now processing. They need some time and they will tell my if anything missing? What do think about this?
August 5, 2021 at 00:29
What can you say about this situation that I’m going through winner dv 2021 case number 5***, approved documents message received on 03 January 2021 for the ok and ready to be scheduled but until then by 2nl, I specify that we are a family of 5 people and have to pass our interview at the usa embassy in Abidjan.
We are optimistic and believe that September will be the right month, but I want to know your point of view on this situation, thank you for your understanding.

A friend of mine , a DV 2021 winner from Iran, made a mistake during signing up for lottery and did not enter her kids’ info. Thinking that since she had lost custody of them in the divorce process and therefore could not take them to US with herself, she should not do so.
She is not planning to include them in the DV . Would this be considered an honest mistake or will she be instantly disqualified?

“honest mistake” – are you kidding?
Sounds like she is struggling with the concept of honesty. She would be disqualified.

Hi, Mr. Simon,
On your advice, I will send the accompanying documents before I receive a letter from the KCC about this. My number is EU8 *** Before I send them I have a few questions:
1. I changed my passport with a new one, as it expires soon and filled ds 260 with the new one. When I send a copy of both passports, do I have to explain this in a separate PDF file?
2. I am single and applying alone. Do I have to send a Certificate of Marital Status which shows that I am not married or just bring it to the interview according the Pre-Interview Checklist.
3. A Court Certificate was issued one month ago. Is that a problem? In my country it is valid for 6 months.
4. My marital status certificate was also issued a month ago. Is it a problem or should I bring it up to date?
Thanks a lot Mr. Simon!

1. Put both passports and the explanation in the same pdf.
2. Interview.
3. It is accepted up to 2 years.
4. It’s fine.
August 6, 2021 at 10:53
Hi,
Sent both passports initially after further documents request email came but I never submitted an explanation in PDF.
After watching your video I submitted PDF with explanation only attached and also emailed kccdv about “passport explanation” document two days ago.
Further documents request came on 23rd June 2021.
Am case no 2021AF20***
Still no DQ.
The passport I applied dv and submitted Ds 260 expired in April.I currently have a new one
After reading this comment should I resend again or let it stay like that?

You can decide. It is too late for normal processing – so the only hope is that the lawsuit wins extra time.

Hi,
This is an additional help for those need a Hungarian police certificate. The embassy needs another type of certificat, not the “standard” one. For that either if you ask it online or go to the office for it, this is what you have to do:
– select “más törvényi megfelelés” roughly translate is “other law compliance”
– then say “amerikai bevándorlási vízum” / “american immigration visa”
This way you will get the good certificate.
KCC OKs the standars certificate too, so by getting the confirmation from them does not help. In fact our address changed (that appeares on the police cert) and so we reopened our case and sent an updated police cert and they said all is fine two times for the wrong doc.
The only help on the consular page is that it says you need to have 5 bold lines, but it is not explained how you obtain it. The standard cert has only 3 bold lines if your history is “clean”.
The Hungarian way of requesting this is so messy that the consul said we weren’t the first and will not be the last because the governmential process is so bad.
Now we got lucky. All our other papers were good and well prepared. The consule offered that if we get the good cert, we can continue. In the meantime they set us refused, which gave us a hearth attack. The next day we got the good cert (booked a live meeting at gov and the lady at the window was very kind. Live printing can take up to 5 business days, online is 8 day for print + undefined postal delivery, so be kind, explain your situation and hope that the gov officer is understanding), and emailed them to the given email. After 3 working days we went from refused to administrative processing, then issued with a new slot when we can give the proper cert and get our decorated passport back.
If this helps at least one person in the future, it was worth it.
August 4, 2021 at 18:23
Hi I have the regular one so that won’t work. How can I request this one? I am not living in Hungary. Thanks
August 5, 2021 at 07:41
I spoke to one of my Hungarian fellow DV winners and indeed through Ugyfelkapu it is possible to get a special police certificate which is for immigration purposes. I am waiting for the Amsterdam consulate and also in the instructions it mentions it has to be for immmigration purposes. I would not count on acceptance from other consulates just to be sure. I will request the document today, and will share my experience later.
August 4, 2021 at 18:36
What is confusing for me is that “mas torvenynek valo megfeleles” is indeed on the form bit it’s also asking for the particular law you want the form to refer to so where did you put “amerikai bevandorlas”? Underneath, on the white line where it refers to the paragraph of the law? Thanks,
August 5, 2021 at 11:24
Yes, there you have to add “amerikai bevándorlási vízom”, to the law part, that would do.
August 5, 2021 at 07:08
That is a good tip, however, probably applies to US Embassy in Budapest only. I doubt that other embassies/consulates know what this is about 🙂 So I guess they might accept the normal 3 line certificate. It would be also great if they finally acknowledged the existence of European police certificate which contains entries from all relevant EU countries for said applicant.
August 5, 2021 at 11:32
You may be right, maybe other embassies accept the “standard” one from Hungary.
Hiwever i’d think it is more burocratic and other embassies would say “ok, this doesn’t look like the one we expect”. Thebstandard version is needed for some hungarian jobs, so they may not even recogbize it which is more worrying in my point of view. At Hungary they are at least familiar with this, why would e.g France know you have different formats and thebdifference doesn’t indicate wrongdoing, but simply serves other purpose?
But I wouldn’t risk it. You can ask for both, it is free and then no surprise can come at the interview.

The reciprocity page has instructions including answering question 4. People should always be careful to follow the instructions.

Dear Simon,
I’d really appreciate it if you answered this previously posted question of mine. Is there an official list of Covid-19 vaccines accepted in the USA? The country my family and I currently reside in offers only 3 vaccines, none of which are approved in the USA (according to a few websites I checked). So on the one hand, it would be best for us to get vaccinated for our everyday safety, but, on the other hand, we’ve been postponing our vaccination until a chance to get a US-accepted vaccine as (hopefully) future US immigrants. How do we go about it in this situation?
Regards
August 5, 2021 at 07:15
Hi Ryan, what are you talking about?
There is currently no rule that would ease travel restrictions for vaccinated people regarding travels to the US as tourist. If you get you immigrant visa, you can travel and get a vaccine in the US.
What kind of vaccines are offered in your country?
August 5, 2021 at 09:29
Hi Paulie,
As the 4th wave of Covid is rising all over the world, it would be best if my family and I got vaccinated, while we’re still in our country waiting to hear from KCC (we are DV2022 selectees). But then I thought it would be reasonable to find out if there was an official list of US-approved vaccines – in order to avoid being vaccinated with a wrong (i.e. non-US-approved) one. Does that makes sense?
August 5, 2021 at 09:49
doesn’t make much sense to me. I would get vaccinated with any vaccine – if US approved not available, then EU, if not EU then WHO or even Sputnik I guess…
You want to be protected 🙂
I hope that helps
August 5, 2021 at 10:01
I just want to avoid situations like these > https://www.euronews.com/travel/2021/07/02/5-million-british-tourists-may-face-eu-travel-ban-over-unapproved-vaccine. I wouldn’t want us (my family) to be revaccinated again in the USA just because our previous vaccination wasn’t US-approved. So is there an official list of US-accepted vaccines, so that we now choose the right one? Perhaps, I need to contact my local US embassy about this.
August 5, 2021 at 13:23
Ryan, I have to say you are probably overthinking this and delaying vaccination is unwise.
However, I can tell you that technically the FDA has not approved any vaccination yet – they are all being used on an emergency approval. However, 150M Americans have been vaccinated with either Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson and Johnson. Those will each get approved (Pfizer next month).
There are plans to introduce a vaccination requirement for foreigners, but I have not seen any info about restricting that to certain vaccinations. Frankly, that is extremely unlikely – so go and get vaccinated.
August 5, 2021 at 10:55
Hi Ryan, I still don’t understand your point
Covid vaccine is not required for immigrants. You can get your jab in the US once you land. If you are worried about what might happen in 1.5 years from now, who knows, I am not an oracle. You are worried that you won’t be able to go to the cinema in the US because you don’t have Biontech?
Which vaccines are readily available in your country?
August 5, 2021 at 13:13
Hi Ryan,
USA does not require you to be vaccinated to enter the country at the moment. However it was in news just yesterday that the Biden administration are working on a policy for all visitors to be vaccinated in order to enter USA so I understand your point. Some countries like KSA have a list of approved vaccines and they dont allow other visitors with non approved vaccines to enter the country. If and when the policy is in effect, USA will obviously approve vaccines manufactured by them i.e Pfizer, Moderna and Jannsen. They have not given approval for any other vaccine. Not even oxford/astra zeneca. Russian and Chinese vaccines have not even been considered. So your best bet is American vaccines and if they are not available go for oxford as it is the next most likely to be approved.

Hi Paula, if I understand what u said , we can travel to the US despite the travel ban?
I’m currently in France
Thx

Hello Brit. I have a question here that is certainly confusing to me.
Have you traveled to any countries/regions
within the last five years?
I left my home country Ethiopia to study in Ghana for a period of 4yrs. I just returned back to my home country and I am filling my ds260 from my house country.
1.) For the question above, should I answer yes and write Ghana since I travelled to Ghana for higher studies.
August 5, 2021 at 13:43
Of course.
August 4, 2021 at 16:08
Hello Brit. I have a higher education and For the last 5 years I had 4 years of work experience but at the time of filling out ds 260 I was unemployed so I indicated this in DS 260 .
1.Can I be denied a visa due to the status of unemployed in DS 260?
2. When I find a job, do I need to write to KCC so that they can unlock the DS 260 form for me to change my job status or just say it during the interview?
3. And what will happen if I continue to have the status of unemployed when there will be an interview at the consulate? In that case, will I most likely be denied a visa?
Thank you for your work.
August 5, 2021 at 13:42
1. No
2. At interview is fine.
3. Again NO
August 4, 2021 at 14:04
Hello Sir,
There is only given name written in my educational documents, no surname. And I have given and surnames in my passport and other documents. will it effect my case ? Many thanks
August 5, 2021 at 13:40
Probably not.
August 5, 2021 at 16:07
Hlo have you got ur 2nl,i have the same problem in educational document and citizenship/passport,so i make a affidavit for that the both are the same persons certificate,if you have any other info about this plz reply
August 4, 2021 at 13:56
Hello Brit, I would like to know if we can receive the 2NL without the DQ? because I had written to KCC to ask for the status of my file, they told me that my form was received and is being processed they told me that on July 22 .. but I do not know why I haven’t received anything yet, I’m Dv2021 in Casablanca …
this is what I received when I wrote them:
Thank you for your inquiry.
Your forms have been received and are currently processing. Allow several weeks for processing. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing. Once the Kentucky Consular Center has finished processing your DS-260, you will receive an email from the Kentucky Consular Center giving you instructions to complete in order for your case to continue processing.
In order for the Kentucky Consular Center to assist with inquiries regarding a specific Diversity Visa (DV) case, you must provide the Principal Applicant’s full name, complete case number, and date of birth in the following format (MMDDYYYY) as entered on the original entry. Please remember that the Kentucky Consular Center does not have the authority to tell you whether or not your specific case will be disqualified. Only a consular officer can do that at the time of your visa interview. Do not send any paper documents to the Kentucky Consular Center.
August 5, 2021 at 13:39
No you cannot be scheduled without being DQ. Your only hope now is the lawsuit.

Dear brithsimon
I have a question i was born in kenya and my nationality is somali my parents say you were not born a hospital you born the house and not recorded so can a take birth certificate of my original country that mentioned i was born kenya since all my documents writes place of birth was kenya
And what proof needs
August 5, 2021 at 13:37
I don’t know procedures in your country. For immigration they need a birth cert from the country where you were born.
August 4, 2021 at 12:15
Hi there Brit.
DV2022AF46xxx
I am the main applicant and I just saw now that on my husbands DS260, I accidentally put January instead of June as the month my son was born. On my application and on my sons application the DOB is correct. The day and year is correct on all 3. Should I ask for his DS260 to be unlocked or not bother?
August 5, 2021 at 13:35
You have time to wait anyway, so yeah, correct it.
August 5, 2021 at 17:11
Hi Brits,
My brother-in-law won dv lottery 2021 and he was interviewed on 08/4/2021 but was not eligible for a visa. Even though he didn’t complete high school, he provided 5 years of work experience. However, He was told that he needs proof of 2 years training/course experience. Is there anyway way he can reclaim the documents? Besides that, he had provided all the documents. Is there a second chance for him?
August 6, 2021 at 05:32
You are supposed to give them copies of the documents.
A second chance is doubtful.
August 6, 2021 at 04:35
Please Simon, when does a 221g refused status change after submissions of required documents?. The date last updated has changed but but the text message has not changed and outcome remains refused.
No communication from embassy has been received. When do you consider that status as final outcome
August 6, 2021 at 05:27
It varies from a few days, to weeks.
