Hello Simin
I filled ds260 form in may2021. And in august2021, we renewed the passports. I have sent supporting documents with new and old passport pictures together explaining the renewel of passport.
Yesterday, ds260 form opened and I resubmitted the ds260 form with the info of new passport and a few minor changes.
Should I submit the supporting documents again?
Many thanks

Hi Simon,
Case: 2022EU7xx
We have originally sent the DS260 on 4 September. Sent unlock request on 10 September. Unlocked and resent on 19 October.
I was wondering if this change in the form will delay our case. Since then it’s been 3 weeks and still didn’t receive anything from KCC.
1. Does the date when it was unlocked and resent affect it’s priority in the backlog KCC has to process?
2. Should we maybe send in the documents without being asked or should we wait a little longer?
Thank you!
November 6, 2021 at 19:49
1. I don’t know what will happen in your particular case.
2. Send them.
November 5, 2021 at 11:20
Dear Brit,
As in Syria, we don’t have a US embassy; I chose the interview location when filling DS-260 Bierut Lebanon US embassy,
But recently, the border with Jordan is opened, and I know that processing cases there is more organized and fast; the situation in Jordan is more stable and functional than in Lebanon.
Also, I’ve got relatives in Jordan who can help me with accommodation issues during the interview and medical check.
Now I’m DQ and received the DQ email in mid-October.
I have a higher case number AS 22k, dv2022
Would you advise me to unlock the ds260 and change embassy into Amman Jordan ?!
Do you think my chances would be dropped and be delayed if I did the change ?!
Appreciate your advice in advance,
Thanks
November 6, 2021 at 19:50
Your case number won’t be current for a long time, so you can change if you want, but conditions could change again.
November 5, 2021 at 13:07
Hi Britsimon. Im a dv-2022 winner. I filled my ds 260 on july, i made a unlock request on oct 8 because i got married and i had to add my spouse. They unlocked my ds 260 on nov 2 , i resubmitted it on nov 3. My case nr is low 2022EU38XX , according to visa bullet my case is current now in this month. Do you have information if resubmitting the ds260 may cause delay , because KCC hasn’t requested my documents yet.
November 6, 2021 at 19:51
Send your documents. Everyone is delayed.
November 5, 2021 at 13:36
Dear, thank you for your effort. really appreciated.
i am dv 2022 AS 3xxx. filled ds260 on may and unlocked on October in order to add new baby born. i received the email to send the documents on September and i send them after updating DS260 and adding the new baby born, my question is :
the date of submitting DS on October would have impact/delay on my application? OR DS has already been processed since they sent the email of documents on September?
thank you
November 6, 2021 at 19:51
I don’t know. Wait and see.
November 5, 2021 at 20:30
Hi Simon
I have won DV2022, home country Sweden. Sent my DS-260 on May 10th.
In August I received the e-mail from KCC telling me that my DS-260 has been processed and requesting to send documents. I did that on August 25th, received the auto-reply and everything.
I still have not been scheduled for a interview. I e-mailed the KCC just a couple of days ago and asked if my e-mail has been received well and the status of my case.
They replied with this: (Feels like a standard e-mail).
”The Kentucky Consular Center has not received your documents. In order to continue processing your case, all documents should be submitted as attachments to your email to ensure they are properly received.
We ask that you use the following method to name and attach your files: • Your DV case number; • The full name of the applicant whose document you scanned; and • The document name or form number. For example: 2021AF00938653_John_Doe_Passport.pdf 2021AF00938653_Jane_Doe_Birth_Certificate.pdf Use your case number as the subject of the email.
etc etc etc.”
I have since REsent the e-mail with documents and asked again, they still answer with the same following e-mail telling me that my documents has not been received.
What should I do? I tried calling them but there call center thing is not active.
November 6, 2021 at 20:04
Sounds like you are doing something wrong. Have you checked the subject of the email (full case number, with leading zeros). Have you checked you are attaching actual documents. Have you checked the size?
November 9, 2021 at 10:32
Hi Brit
I have the same case like Andre. Docs submitted on sept4 with request from kcc. Did inquiry on 2nd Nov. got reply docs has not been received. I double checked case number, subject, KCC email id, file size, and attached the documents with proper naming convention and resubmit again on 4th Nov, inquired on 5th Nov, got reply on 8th Nov but I got reply saying that documents hasn’t been received by KCC. In this case, what shall I do? Please suggest!
November 13, 2021 at 16:13
Same situation, same comment. But there is a chance they are just sending incorrect emails. So – exercise some patience.
November 9, 2021 at 15:21
Thank you Simon for your reply. I have checked that the attachment are under 30 mb. They are like 9 mb. I have sent it with the full case number as subject etc. I am really puzzled.
I have tried to call them but their customer service is taking any calls at this moment.
I have also tried to resend it from different e-mail services, (outlook, gmail etc). What can I do?
It feels like they aren’t even checking the inbox but just sending me a standardized reply?
November 13, 2021 at 16:19
It could be a mistake on their part. You could wait for a few weeks.
November 9, 2021 at 10:22
hi Andre, i have a same problem like yours. Has your problem been solved? Did you find any mistake while you submitted docs on 25th august?
November 9, 2021 at 10:49
Hi Andre , i have a same problem as your. Did you fix it. please let me know. Thank u
November 5, 2021 at 21:49
Hello Brit,
Case: 2022EU22xxx
My entry was originally for Russia (where I do live now), but I have valid permanent residence permit in Hungary. As long as the embassy in Moscow is closed, I’ve tried to transfer my case to Hungary in summer, but got no reply. So, I sent DS260 in August with manual switch to Hungary post without embassy approval.
Few weeks ago the StateDept required all Russian cases to be transferred to Poland. Warsaw already processes local cases as well as Belorussian cases. I believe that transfer of all Russian cases may slow down their processing speed and take large CN out of the game. On the other hand, Budapest processed only 26 cases out of 100 winners in FY21.
What would be your advice in terms of choosing an embassy with higher chances for my CN?
November 6, 2021 at 20:06
I think you need to decide what is best for your case for yourself.
November 6, 2021 at 00:05
Dear Mr. Simon,
I hope all is well.
In the eligibility section of the instructions for the 2023 Diversity Visa Program, they say,” If you were not born in an eligible country (i.e., your country is not eligible), there are two other ways you might be able to qualify (through the spouse or parents). In my case, my own country of birth “Turkey” is eligible, but I want to use my parents’ country of birth “Tunisia” as my country of eligibility since my chance to be selected will be higher. So, my question is: Would I be disqualified if I choose my parents’ country of birth instead of my own country of birth, which is eligible? In other words, do applicants have the right to select the country of eligibility if they have more than one option as in my case, OR the rules of the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program do not allow us to do so because the country of birth must be not eligible to be able to choose one of the other two ways.
Note: Neither of my parents was born in Turkey; however, they were in Turkey on a diplomatic visa when I was born.
I sincerely appreciate your assistance.
Thanks!
November 6, 2021 at 20:08
Well you are incorrect that the chance of selection would be higher. Choose Turkey.
November 6, 2021 at 00:39
Hi Brit,
I’m a selectee for dv 2022 and I have submitted my civil documents as requested by kcc but I did not understand that that I was supposed to submit my spouse police certificates also, i only submitted fir myself the main applicants, I was just watching one of your old videos before I noticed that I had to submit for her also.
However I have applied for this document already and it shall be available in a day or two so I wish to know how to get them across to kcc.
Do I have to send the whole thing with mine inclusive of I will have to sent only her own?
Many Thanks,
Have a blessed day.
November 6, 2021 at 20:08
Resend the whole set of documents.
November 6, 2021 at 09:34
I submitted my ds 260 on 26 may and send documents on 5th of September without being asked.
After that send unlock ds 260 on 1st of November and KCC block unlocked it within one day and resubmit it on 3rd of November
I haven’t received a document request yet
I have heared that KCC send documents requested according to the order Ds 260 subimmision date. Will I have to wait for doc request as I unlocked Ds 260 ?
Should I resubmit documents?
My case number 2022AS13###
November 6, 2021 at 20:10
No need to resubmit. As for timing – wait and see. You won’t be current for months anyway.
November 10, 2021 at 13:15
Dose that mean I won’t get an interview?
November 13, 2021 at 16:45
It means wait and see.
November 6, 2021 at 12:04
Hi Brit.
Thank you for your interest in the DV process and your explanations.
I have a question, I am a DV2022 winner (AS29K), I sent my DS260 on 17 July and my DQ on 22 Oct (without being asked). I would like to ask you when do you think I will get my 2NL & 3NL? And what is the possibility (%) to get interviewed next year, so when my case might become current?
I am new in DV lottery and I read all the times your blogs and watch your vides to better understand the process, you’re the best.
Thank you for your support.
Regards/Roy
November 6, 2021 at 20:11
I can’t predict your chances, but your case number is very high, and therefore risky.
November 6, 2021 at 12:09
dear Simon,
Thanks for your amazing support.
Can you please explain why kcc stop working in Ds260 after May20, and we dont receive DR email.
My CN AS46**
SD260 Submitted in August
Document submitted without asking in Sept
Thanks.
November 6, 2021 at 20:12
They switched resources to focus on DV2021 until the end of September.
November 6, 2021 at 16:51
Hi dear Simon.
My friend from ukraine, he does not know english, for that reason i had to write you about his problem.
He was in Europe in different european countries from 2007 to 2008 years, he was not any deport from european countries. He did not note this data in DS260 form. Did he need to unlock his DS form for that reason? and did he need to get certificate of non-criminal record.
Thank you in advance!
November 6, 2021 at 20:13
If he was in the countries for me than a year he will need police certs for there, and he should answer the DS260 questions accurately.
November 6, 2021 at 18:49
I am DV2022 AF12xxx , Regarding lawsuits , Is raising a lawsuit individually increases my chances ? (being only plaintiff in the case is better or among group of plaintiffs in the same case)?
what is the best time to raise it ? JAN/FEB/MARS …..
November 6, 2021 at 20:14
Lawsuits can help in some cases. No lawsuits are being formed yet.
November 6, 2021 at 19:48
Hello simon
Kcc has changed my interview location. Should I unlock now to change my current address?
Or We can do that after getting 2nl?
Thanks
November 6, 2021 at 22:30
You can’t unlock after the 2NL
November 6, 2021 at 22:11
Hi Brit I attached all my documents and my family together and stated that the above are my documents with my family and subject my case number will there be a problem?
November 6, 2021 at 22:29

November 7, 2021 at 02:30
Hi Simon Sir, I am DV2022 winner with CN:AF12xxx, submited my DS-260 on August 2nd, one time requested unlock got unlocked, did changes and resubmited; send my Civil documents without being asked on Nov 2nd, but I am planning at the end of this month to move to another country for work so I want to change my interview location to this country; Is it necessary to request DS-260 unlock again to update my new address or I just need to send email to KCC to request them to change my interview location?..thank you.
November 7, 2021 at 03:14
KcC will want the new address.
November 7, 2021 at 06:28
Thanks Simon sir, so shall I just email KCC my new address inorder to change my interview location or they need it to be updated in the DS-260 form.
November 7, 2021 at 13:28
Hi, I’ve seen your concerns about changing interview location. Sort of same, while filling ds260 in June 10 I was working at a government institution based in my country, but recently I got a student visa and I’m about to go to abroad as student. Do I need to unlock ?
Please share me your experience!
Note. Didn’t get document request yet.
November 7, 2021 at 06:17
Hi Simon, cordially thanks for lots and lots of valuable informations you provide here.
I have a question regarding the email sending our documents. Is it needed when sending our documents to be added the CN, full name and DoB of each family member to separate the documents of each in the body mail, or as put the all documents in that’s ok ?
Thank you.
November 7, 2021 at 08:34
HI brit, Thankyou for everything you do! I won the the DV2020 lottery and had my visa issued in September of 2020. Unfortunately due to covid concerns I haven’t traveled to the States yet to validate my Greencard. I have I missed the opportunity? Many thanks
November 13, 2021 at 15:46
I think so – there were no technical blocks to your travelling, you simply chose not to.
November 7, 2021 at 09:06
hi how are you ? i unlocked my DS 260 and i noticed that i can’t change the interview location is that normal ? cuz my CN not current yet (AS24K) and i’m living in sydney australia . does that mean any thing ?
November 13, 2021 at 15:47
It’s normal. You can change the address, and then KCC will change the embassy based on your address.
November 7, 2021 at 12:35
Hi BritSimon!
Is it Ok to request unlock the DS260 two-three times?
November 13, 2021 at 15:47
Yes. A bit daft, but no specific problem.
November 7, 2021 at 12:38
Hi Simon,
Hope you’re well.
DV2022 – 17K.
I’ve applied for the DV2022 using my EU passport, however I’m now considering to get British citizenship (for several reasons).
Am I allowed to enter US with a dual citizenship? (I will then give up one of them if things go right in US)
Will I be able to get the immigrant Visa on my British passport?
Showing up at the interview with an additional nationality might compromise my Visa process?
Thank you for your help.
November 13, 2021 at 15:48
The additional nationality doesn’t matter.
November 7, 2021 at 13:38
Hi Simon,
I’m dv 2022 winner with CN of AF18k, I sent ds260 on June 10 and didn’t get document request yet. Recently I got a student visa in another country and I’m about to go as student. But while filling I was a government employee based in my country. Do I need to unlock the ds 260 to change interview location, address change, changing my status from being an employee to becoming a student ???
Please need your feedback ASAP
November 13, 2021 at 15:49
If you move to another country you would update your address in the DS260 so that KCC schedule you in that new country.
November 7, 2021 at 14:39
Hello simon
If I mail kcc to change interview location, will the automatically unlock my DS260?
Or should I request KCC to unlock DS260 through separate mail?
November 13, 2021 at 15:49
You have to specifically ask to unlock.
November 7, 2021 at 19:03
Hi brit,
My case no# is 2022oc15xx….after the 3 months backlog if it possible that I can get an interview this year…..my parents CN ie 2022oc 11xx…..
November 13, 2021 at 15:51
I am not making predictions.
November 7, 2021 at 21:24
Hi Brit, can you explain to us what’s going on with the reconciliation bill? Do I have any chance to get a visa as DV2021 lottery winner by this bill, despite I haven’t yet DQ ?
November 13, 2021 at 15:51
We have to wait and see what happens.
November 7, 2021 at 22:17
Hi, when registering for the selective service do we just give the mailing address of the DS260? We have already entered the US but have not permanently moved yet so we do not have a permanent home address.
November 13, 2021 at 15:51
Give the actual address you have.
November 7, 2021 at 22:49
Hey Brit. OC13## 2022 .
This was just posted on the Sydney consulate page
‘IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICANTS: U.S. Consulate Melbourne has opened additional appointments for immigrant visa applicants to address the reduction in services caused by the U.S. Consulate Sydney move delay. U.S. Consulate Sydney is contacting immigrant visa applicants who require a personal interview to provide the option of scheduling an interview in Melbourne.
If you intend to travel interstate in Australia, please make sure to check the guidelines of the states you are travelling to and from for the latest advice around permits and quarantine requirements due to COVID-19.
We will share more information for U.S. citizens from the ACT, New South Wales, and Queensland seeking non-emergency services in the coming days.’
My question is. Would that mean dv lottery winners might be scheduled in Melbourne too? I assume they are part of the immigrant visas? Second part of that question is, will that be an automatic transferal? Or should I just to be scheduled in Sydney before I try to make any changes with changing my embassy to Melbourne?
November 13, 2021 at 15:52
I don’t know whether Melbourne will conduct DV interviews. KCC will set the schedule.
November 8, 2021 at 03:16
Hi Simon,
Do you know if they generally make sure that individual interview locations are meeting available capacity or do they only schedule interviews for the region as a whole based off case number? For example I am OC19XX however my interview is in Auckland, New Zealand which I feel improves my chances as I believe a good bulk of the Oceania interviews would usually be in Australia. Could this mean for instance that when numbers are current, that Sydney could still be interviewing in the 1200 range but because Auckland has less that my case could be scheduled at the same time as those earlier numbers going on in Sydney? Am I looking at this the wrong way or would you agree there is a slightly improved chance even though my number isn’t very early?
Thanks
Adam
November 9, 2021 at 11:37
Adam, that is correct, capacity will determine how many interviews they schedule, the question is weather or not for DV22, they will go current and if they will go current. Keeping in mind Auckland and Sydney both schedule on Mondays and Tuesdays only (based on 21), Your number from what I have seen is a little on the high side, haven’t seen numbers above 2500. From my experience with Auckland you will need to gather a list of documents (documents also not listed on the website) and send them prior to the interview, what I had to do, the list include finances and a resume. “B” the individual who responds to all messages at Auckland consulate is very friendly and helpful, however she wont provide more information on document list until you have an interview scheduled. This is to apparently stop other applicants just mailing and causing a backlog. I personally hand delivered to security on Commerce St, as you will not be allow to hand to consulate without an interview. Best of luck Adam
November 9, 2021 at 11:41
Just adding, your not taking into account other factors, such as transfers and other regions which will be processed in Auckland if they are current before you. Trying to predict is always a bit of a challenge, the consulate refused to operate during Lockdown Level 3 or 4, as well and any lockdown will add delays.
November 13, 2021 at 15:53
The VB moves case numbers for the whole region – not individual country. Just focus on getting DQ.
November 8, 2021 at 03:25
Hello Brit,
first and foremost I just want to thank you so much for all the information you provide to us. Two years ago you helped me with questions about the green card. I am finally now living in the usa since then and I am so thankful and enjoying it. I am not sure if this question has been asked yet or if you know anything about this:
I am a greencardholder but in a relationship with someone outside the usa. If we decide to get married can he also get one? How long is the process? Can he work while his greencard process is still reviewed?
Thank you so much 🙂
November 13, 2021 at 15:54
It takes about two years after the marriage, during which time he/she would normally wait abroad.
November 16, 2021 at 18:18
Also how long can I stay outside of the USA without loosing my green card?
Thank you 🙂
November 19, 2021 at 22:59
Please read the FAQ
November 8, 2021 at 03:27
i submitted to dv 2023 , i checked yesterday on of website call dv lottery photo checker and it says “Head is bigger than allowed 69%” otherwise all good , is that a problem ?
November 8, 2021 at 10:56
Dear Mr. Brit
How have you been? I’m DV 2020 winner whose appointment was canceled, but thanks to the Gomes case I have been waiting for the process.
My question is; if you heard, the US embassy in Ethiopia has ordered to give only emergency services because of the conflict in the country. So, is there any hope I can change the location of my interview if I got scheduled with in a short period of time?
Thanks a lot
November 13, 2021 at 15:56
You will have to wait to see what happens in Gomez and you would have to find some way to be interviewed at another embassy. There is nothing you can do at the moment.
November 8, 2021 at 15:11
Hello Simon,
I am in Oceania, I was hoping to do a AOS but I don’t think my number will be called before my current visa expires. Can I change back from a AOS to being processed in my home country?
How would I do that?
Thank you
Hayley
November 13, 2021 at 15:57
To avoid you screwing things up – what is your case number? When does your visa expire?
November 14, 2021 at 13:05
Thank you Simon! Case Number 22OC12** visa expires in April with 30 days to leave.
November 14, 2021 at 16:43
So it is highly likely you will be current in time. Remember you can file as soon as the VB announces your number, and the April VB is for JUNE interviews – so you have 6 VBs to go from 450 to 1200.
November 16, 2021 at 15:00
Thank you! I know I’m hoping I will be called in Jan/Feb. If my interview is in June would I still have to be on my current visa or can I be on an ESTA? as my number may have been called in Feb, so when I file I was on a visa but it expired in May.
November 8, 2021 at 17:00
Dear Sir,
I am asking this on behalf of my friend who is a DV 2020 winner. He has lived in India for 3-4 years (not constantly) for his studies.
He has checked with you in 2020 about obtaining police certificate from India. (his current residency is Sri Lanka)
There you have mentioned if he lived there 10 years ago, no need to get a PC from there?
Can you please confirm if it’s correct
Thanks
November 13, 2021 at 15:59
He should read the reciprocity page.
November 8, 2021 at 19:38
Sir, thank you for you effort. i am dv 2022 my wife is the main applicant, regarding the bank account, the account is in my name my wife has no bank account. is it ok? are they gonna take my bank account since we are a family?.thank you
November 13, 2021 at 15:59
Yes
November 8, 2021 at 19:57
Hello Brit!
I want to clarify an important point for you.
My wife, my child, and I filled out and submitted the ds260 in June, but fortunately, my second son was born in August. I added him as a family derivative in the case, but I did not add him in the ds260 of myself and my wife. Is there any problem during the interview?
The other question is that I requested to unlock my spouse’s ds260, for revision, but they reply that the information you have provided does not match the case. Please resubmit your request with the correct information, as entered on your original entry, for KCC to properly assist you.
I need your advice, Sir!
Appreciate You!
November 13, 2021 at 16:00
You should unlock and correct your DS260s. Read the FAQ about communicating with KCC.
November 8, 2021 at 22:56
Hi Simon
DV2022OC11XX Winner
I needed to make a small change to my DV-260 , which was just an update to the address that my green card be sent to etc. I asked KCC if I needed to unlock my form to make this change and they did unlock my DS260 form and emailed me and I immediately updated this and resubmitted.
Also about 3weeks ago I was proactive as you have said and submitted my documents.
Will this resubmission cause a delay in them processing my application and being DQ?. I understand its a minor change and my interview will not be likely until mid next year but thought I would check if this will cause a delay?
November 13, 2021 at 16:01
Probably no delay, but you could have made this change at the interview.
November 9, 2021 at 03:59
Thanks so much – great resource.
Should I register for the current DV lottery, even though I’ve been accepted into the most recent one?
I’ve looked through your thorough and informative and helpful website and I don’t think this has been asked – apologies if it has.
I’m from Australia (so a relatively low intake limit). I was awarded first stage in May 2021, successfully submitted my DS-260 in Sept 2021, and b/c of your info, have just emailed my supporting docs to [email protected] (9 Nov 2021).
I’m nervous as I’m at the tail-end of processing, that we Aussies might use up our limit before I’m processed, therefore I assume, I won’t get to advance to medical and interview stage.
Given that the current round for 2023 is about to cut-off, should I simply apply again, knowing that if all goes well with my existing application, I just won’t need to act on any outcome for the next round? Or does a duplicate application in their system mess things up?
Thanks again.
2022OC000015XX
November 13, 2021 at 16:03
You could have applied for 2023.
As for what will happen over the next few months, I am not predicting because there are too many variables this year.
November 9, 2021 at 04:39
Hi BritSimon, tnks for your support. Dv2022
my birth place is kampala and my country of eligeability is ugandha. I used somali passport to fill ds260( nationality).
I have somali birth certificate wich indicates that I was born in Ugandha ,so
Can i send birth certificate issued by somali government.
Or Ugandha birth certificate is must to have it and send to KCC still I didn’t get ugandha thank you.
November 13, 2021 at 16:07
Normally the expected birth cert would be issued by your country of birth – but I don’t know document procedures in your country.

Hi Ran, have you finally got your DR? I’m in the same situation as you and I’m too worried about the process.

You just need to be patient.

Dear Sir
I am Afghani and I have sent my required documents to KCC. As we know Kabul Embassy is now closed in Afghanistan. It has sent and reopen in Qatar.
Should I change my interview location in another country or just wait to see what KCC decide? Now I am in Afghanistan.
Thank you

Depending on your case number you may want to let KCC decide.

Hi Simon. I got my diversity visa confirmed in September and they glued a temporary printout in my passport. I understand I now need to enter the US within these 6 months (even if for a holiday) in order to validate it and get the actual physical card sent to my US address. I will be flying from London to New York soon for 5 days. Am I correct in thinking I do not need to get an ESTA before flying over to America and this printout in my passport will cover my entrance? (Sorry not great English)
November 13, 2021 at 16:44
No ESTA needed

Dear Sir,
When my friend clicked the submit button in her DV 2023 application, she has got a weird page like this.
SUBMISSION IN PROGRESS.
Please do not leave this page until you receive a confirmation number. Your confirmation number is proof that your entry has been successfully submitted.
You must retain your confirmation number in order to check your status in May.
If you do not receive a confirmation number, your entry was not successful and you must re-submit your information. Re-submission will not be counted as
a duplicate entry if you did not receive a confirmation number.
Your submission is currently in the process of being submitted. To retrieve your confirmation page, please click the “Check Submission” button below.
She has waited for one hour. Nothing has changed. When she click the “check submission” , “Site cant be reached” page has come one time. Next time ” Last page with the submit button” has come.
As she doesn’t get a Confirmation Page even though she has waited for one hour, She submit another application for DV 2023.
a) Will it be a duplicate entry?
b) What is the best thing to do when we get a “SUBMISSION IN PROGRESS” page??

I am winner of dv lottery 22
My number 24K Asia,
I received a request for documents on Nov. 5, 2021
And I sent documents of me and my family and didn’t get a dq yet .
3 weeks from now I will be having a new baby, Do I need to reopen the DS260 for me and my wife, to add the new baby and then send a new email with all the documents? or should I just send the required documents NOW and wait for the baby to come and add it in the DS260 from the ” add applicant” button?
What is your recommendation Mr. brit? and thank you so much in advance.
November 13, 2021 at 16:46
Wait until the baby is born. Then modify the DS260s, and send all documents together including that for the baby.
You have months to wait anyway.

Hi Simon
I’m from Europe. Case number is 2022EU00004***. ds-260 sent on 10.17.2021, didn’t receive a request for documents, and I see that the kcc check ds-260 not by the case number, but by the date of dispatch. Now requests are coming to those who sent dad-260 in May, even with case 18 *** and higher. And I have a question why the case number is not a priority? Why would they check high numbers, if not even Current? Interviews at the embassy (Warsaw) are almost never scheduled and the first interview is only in December. Is this ok? Why do they work so slowly ? Do I have a chance to be interviewed at all?
Thank you

I have created videos to explain this. Bottom line, it’s a mess and they stopped working on DV2022 for about 3 months. So – you will need to be patient and see how things look in a few weeks.

Hi simon,
I’m DV2022 winner with my 3 families. AF42XXX, from Ethiopia. Because of the current armed conflict in Ethiopia Since November 8 the US embassy provides only emergency visa cases. Beside there is also a rumor that the Addis Ababa US embassy will gonna be transferred into Nairobi. I’m really very frustrated sir.
My question are:
1 Based on my case number, should i decide to change my interview location in this situation?
2. If i have to, Do you think it’s the right time to ask KCC to change my interview location?
Thank you for your advice sir.
November 13, 2021 at 16:59
KCC change locations based on the address changes. But your number is high anyway – so I would suggest wait 2 or 3 months and see what is happening by then.

Hello brit
I am winner of dv lottery 22
My number 24000
I received a request for documents
And I sent documents of me and my family. Didn’t get a dq yet .
After 3 weeks of that , I had a new a baby
Do I need to reopen DS for me and my wife, adding the child, then send a new email with all the documents
Or is it’s sufficient to add the child from (add applicant)
And send the documents to the whole family with a new email
November 13, 2021 at 17:00
The DS260 for the parents will also need to be altered for the new child. So – ask to unlock and specify BOTH parents.
