December 13, 2022 at 09:06
Hi Brit,
My case is similar. In my case i missed to add my work experience at the States. I was there 3times as a J1. Please advice. Thank you in advance.
December 14, 2022 at 20:52
If you totally omitted travel, visa and work history for the USA you should certainly unlock and correct that.
December 31, 2022 at 04:52
I just missed work histroy other than that i add everyting correctly travel history, visa
etc. Don’t you think it is not too late to reopen my DS260?

Hello Simon,
2023AS17k here. I have just realized that I have not included Whatapp and Viber under the social media section but I have entered all other things like FB, Twitter, Linkedin etc. My DS260 was processed in Oct. Do you think I need to unlock and enter Whatsapp and Viber?
December 22, 2022 at 08:42
No – they are not social media.
December 7, 2022 at 18:24
My case number keeps saying it’s invalid whenever I try to access my ds260, and when checking the visa status page. Any remedy?
December 9, 2022 at 08:56
DV2023 cases are not loaded to CEAC status page yet. They will be available from January 1.

Hello Simon,
I am a 2023 visa DV winner, and I had my interview at the Paris Embassy two days ago, my visa has been softly refused, I have been put under administrative review. I have been asked to fill out another form talking about previous addresses and passports that I had owned. I’m confused because I already gave all these information on the DS260. My interview went really well, so I’m confused as to why they need further documents. I used to live in the U.S.A when as a minor under a diplomatic visa because my father was a diplomat, did that have an impact on my case? I have been also asked to sent a resume via email and my passeport to a specific address. Do you know if I have a chance of getting accepted or refused at this point? Also would you know the time delay for them to give me an answer. I’m not French and my French visa expires soon so I’m a bit worried.
thank you
December 9, 2022 at 09:01
You were asked to complete the DS5535. Sometimes, but not always, that is required because the DS260 seems incomplete, but many more times it just seems like a random selection of the case to go through that additional check. There is nothing you can do now, just complete it asap. Timelines vary from a couple of weeks to several months.

December 22, 2022 at 08:51

Reply
As I already told you, the whole question is whether he was included in the original entry submission or not.>>>>very smart answer exellent >>>>this is the best answer i have heard
last thing??
after lots of research we found out that after the year 2020 when we choose married to us spouse there is nothing to fill in for the spouse
it delete all the information
in our case we choose first married to not us spouse so we could fill in the information of the spouse then we changed to number 3
married to us spouse while revising part one then submit >>> which means the system deleted that information
my quetion is this what you mean by including the spouse
does it mean we didnot include the spouse >>>we just said married but there is no information for the spouse or pic the system removed it
once we changed to number 3 married to us spouse
December 10, 2022 at 09:35
You are saying that the system deletes the spouse details if you choose option 3. I don’t know whether that is correct or not, but I suspect it would NOT be correct.
However, that is still the central point. Was the spouse included in the entry or not. If yes – no problem. If no – then 100% disqualification.

Hi Simon,
Thank you so much for helping us on this journey.
I have a small doubt about the sponsor, and highly appreciate it if you can let me know your opinion on below.
My sponsor has previously sponsored to a family of 3. However, his income is sufficient to cater a family of 8(his family+ previously sponsored family+ my family) according to federal poverty guidelines. Will this be an issue?
Thanks in advance
December 10, 2022 at 22:29
There are no written rules about that – but I would assume that represents a small risk.
December 11, 2022 at 12:08
Thank you so much…
December 10, 2022 at 16:58
Hello Simon
I am a DV-2020 winner and when I check the status of my case at CEAC Visa Check, I am not included in the list (There are my child as DV03 and my spouse as DV02. I am the principal applicant DV01, however my name disappeared! It does not affect my case if 9095 visa issued?
December 10, 2022 at 22:28
No impact.
December 11, 2022 at 15:56
Hi Brit
I am John DV 2023 winner. With respect to educational documents, could the failure to provide high school certificate warrant a refusal of visa?
Thank you
December 14, 2022 at 20:38
If that is the only way to prove you meet the requirements, then yes of course.
December 11, 2022 at 17:02
hi Brits. thanks a lot for the updates and the help you offer.
please how can I check the status of my ds260 whether it’s been processed or not?
December 14, 2022 at 20:38
Email KCC.
December 11, 2022 at 20:25
Dear Simon,
The other day, my family and I entered the States for the first time, with immigrant visas, got the stamps at the airport for the activation of permanent residence. However, the USCIS website still doesn’t show any new information or update regarding our status. A few months ago when I paid the immigration fees via that website, the profile update was instantaneous. But now that it’s been a few days since we entered the USA, there’s nothing in my USCIS profile to show that we actually arrived and got our permanent residence activated. Is this normal? Does it take time?
December 14, 2022 at 20:39
Yes it takes time. No need to stress about that. You might wait up to 3 or 4 months, but it make no difference to your status – so relax.
December 11, 2022 at 22:25
I am a DV 2023 WINNER. I won with my wife and child. My child won’t be travelling with me now because of some constraints – do I need to fill the DS260 for the child?
Thanks
December 14, 2022 at 20:40
No. But please understand it will take years to bring the child later…
December 12, 2022 at 02:41
Hi Mr simon
iam winner pf 2023 Dv , when i was submitting ds 260 on that time my spouse hasn’t had any travel history from last 10 years but after 2 months of the submission of ds 260 she travel to neighboring country so should i unlock ds 260 and update that or i wait till interview and she’s not a principal applicant she’s derivative kindly guide me thanks
December 14, 2022 at 20:40
This can be updated in the interview.
December 12, 2022 at 10:26
Dear Simon,
god bless you and your family,
I live in Russia, my designated embassy is Warsaw, Poland. Following your instruction on changing embassies (https://britsimonsays.com/how-to-change-embassies/), since I cannot enter Poland, I begged KCC (not the embassy) to transfer my case to Tbilisi, Georgia and KCC finally respond me with:
“Based on the information you have provided, your interview location has been changed from Warsaw to Tbilisi …..
You will also need to request that KCC unlock your DS-260, so that you can update your application with your new address. (Please note that Post Office Boxes and mailing addresses in care of another person do not justify a change of interview location.) ”
I do not live in Tbilisi and I never said I do, and for sure I don’t want to lie anyhow, so I don’t plan to unlock the DS-260 and fill any address in Georgia in it.
# Questions #:
1) Could absence of a current address in Georgia in DS-260 (and thus absence of any direct connection with the country as a whole) can cause denial by CO during an interview? I receive no response from the embassy on that point.
2) Should I bring my correspondence with KCC and show it to the CO beforehand?
3) Anything I can do to reduce the risk of being denied?
Thank you
December 14, 2022 at 20:46
As you are from Russia, and your embassy is closed, your are allowed to choose another embassy, so you have not broken any rules, and do not need to unlock or update your address. Use your judgement about what to take to the interview.
December 13, 2022 at 02:02
I heard DV 2020 final outcome give next month, Is it true
December 14, 2022 at 20:46
We have to wait and see. There is no guarantee about when we will have the decision.
December 13, 2022 at 06:39
CNAF25K, when filling my DS , I added as other name used the name that I used on my Facebook account Wich is different from my real name ,and that other name That I added didn’t appear neither on my passport nor my birthday certificate, do you think that is a serious mistake?
I would like to request for unlocking my DS but my CN will become current soon, do you think that I can make that correction on the interview day ?or after receiving my 2NL i can ask the embassy to unlock my DS?
Best regards!
December 14, 2022 at 20:47
1. No
2. Do that at interview.
December 13, 2022 at 07:09
Greetings Mr. Simon
**As 4xxx , processed but NO 2NL , Ankara post **
I have seen that for some cases, that the time between the NL2 and the interview was very short, between 5 and 10 days.
I’m worried if this happens to me, I may not be able to book a suitable time for medical. So I want to do my medical now without receiving a 2NL , and if I don’t get a 2NL in a few months, I will do the medical again. Is this correct?
December 14, 2022 at 20:48
No need to book the medical without the 2NL. The short timeline will not apply this year.
December 13, 2022 at 11:21
Hi Simon,
I am a DV2023 winner, however I have a very high case number: EU34XXX. I submitted my DS-260 back in May, and all the information was precise and correct.
I have, however, since then moved apartments within the same city. Therefore, my DS-260 now has my old address under the “present address” section.
Furthermore, I will very likely be moving to the US in July or August with a student visa as I have been accepted to a one-year graduate MS program.
1.
Would you suggest that I unlock the DS-260 now in order to update it to my present address in England? Or does the fact that I will already be living in the US *if* I do get an interview (since I have a very high case number) mean that I should just wait until then to change my address on the DS-260?
2.
Realistically, if I do get an interview, I will already by living in the US as a student and will therefore have to do an adjustment of status. Does this mean that I will have to fill out a different form and that my DS-260 is basically irrelevant? If necessary, I would definitely be willing to fly back to Belgium from the US to do my interview.
3.
Will the fact that I have submitted a DS-260 jeopardize my chances of getting a student visa approved? I was born and raised in Belgium and I am a university student in England. I have never been in legal trouble and have visited the US about 10 times with no issues ever. Is there anything I could specifically show/say to assure them that despite having shown intent to immigrate to the USA, I would never consider overstaying my visa?
4.
Is my case number so high that I shouldn’t even worry about any of this and assume that I will not get an interview?
Thank you!
December 14, 2022 at 20:56
1. No need to unlock at this point.
2. If you do AOS, then yes that is a different process and set of forms. So you must decide which process to follow.
3. Yes the DS260 submission can affect future NIV applications. It is one factor, not an automatic knockout.
4. It is too early to be certain about that. We will know better when we see the CEAC data on January 1.
December 13, 2022 at 12:08
I am a dv lottery (green card) winner. I had interview on November 07, 2022 and were told me that my visa were confirmed. However, from that day on, i’m waiting to receive my passport yet there were no emails or messages to tell me about returning my passport. I’m waiting about 45 days for more than a month after interview and my visa has been accepted, but I haven’t received my passport yet? Can you guide me why i didn’t receive my passport one month after interview?
Thanks
December 14, 2022 at 20:57
It sounds like you are in administrative processing, but I obviously cannot say that for sure, nor tell you why.
December 13, 2022 at 12:28
Hello Brit!
I’m CN EU2319XXX. Here are my questions to you:
1. I have 25 years of experience in my field including 5 with the company I’m currently working for. What’s the best way to evidence my work experience? Statement from my current employer, resume…?
2. I have significant savings, which I can demonstrate with bank statements. Do I really need to go through a financial sponsor? Note: I’m 58 years old.
3. Can I wait to get my vaccination update during the medical or with my doctor prior to the medical? If the latter and based on my CN#, what would be the best timing?
4. There is a particular vaccin I wouldn’t want to get. Would that be detrimental to my getting the visa?
Many thanks for all your help.
Veronique
December 14, 2022 at 21:01
1. Use your judgement – every case is different.
2. If your savings are sufficient, then no. Just note that emigration will set you back financially and careerwise for the first few years. At your age (same as mine) you have less time to make up that damage. So, think carefully.
3. You book and take the medical once you receive the interview schedule.
4. If that is a required vaccine – yes. It would make you ineligible unless you have a *legitimate* reason to not have that particular vaccine. Believing conspiracy theory nonsense about the Covid vaccine for instance, would not be a legitimate reason, but hopefully, at your age you realize the importance of such vaccines for your own health, and those of us around you.

Hi Brit Simon,
I received LPR status last September and entered the US, but left before receiving the Green Card. Can I still re-enter with the stamp on the passport or do I need to file form I-131A
USPS returned my green card to USCIS as un-deliverable
Thank you for all your help, always
December 14, 2022 at 21:03
Your stamped visa will allow reentry in the first 12 months after initial entry. The I-131 is a process you can only start from inside the USA.
December 15, 2022 at 04:03
Thank you BritSimon, we are really very grateful for all your help
December 14, 2022 at 10:19
Hi Brit;
Today the US Embassy in Guangzhou, China announced that it will be closed untill further notice. I have Chosen this Embassy as my post. What do you think I should do in this stage? Should I send an e-mail to KCC to reopen my DS and Change the location? or just send an email and ask them to transfer my case to the embassy in my home country (morocco)? or shall I just wait and see if it will reopen soon? I am confused. whats is the best solution?. please share your advice. Thanks in advance.
December 14, 2022 at 21:04
I can’t tell you what the best solution will be – I cannot see the future. You must decide for yourself.
December 14, 2022 at 15:53
Hello Brit! my case number is 2023Af50***
1) Is my case number too high considered I am from Morocco?
2) Can a country got removed from the exception list after several VBs ?
Thanks for your help
December 14, 2022 at 21:04
1. I don’t know.
2. Yes
December 15, 2022 at 00:08
Hi am Jacob from ghana my passport will expire next year 6th September 2023 do I need to do a new one before I get an interview
December 15, 2022 at 20:12
Obviously, that depends when you interview, but most likely, yes.
December 15, 2022 at 03:34
Hi Brit, my name is Han, I just want to ask you a question, I just got my 2nd nl and will be scheduled for interview in January 2023. I plan to immigrate with my family. At the time we took the medical check up, one of my family member (beneficiary) cannot be able to provide health certificate document that required by CDC. Since my daughter health certificate will take months to be ready, the hospital staff will not send her document to the embassy embassy.
My question is should I reschedule the interview ? or if We are going to the interview, what will happen with my daughter visa? (AP status or denied?)
Thnks
December 15, 2022 at 20:14
She would be in AP until any missing document is provided. So – you might be better off delaying the interview if there is really no way to get this document sooner.
December 15, 2022 at 07:12
Hi Mr Simon,
I have activated my visa and now back in order to settle some matters. I hope to do so within 4 months. My question is, whether these 4 months are deducted from the required time period for eligibility for citizenship application at a future date?
December 15, 2022 at 20:15
I suggest you find the naturalization rules/calculators to understand what will stop the clock.
December 15, 2022 at 07:29
Hello dear Brit Simon, I’m a DV 23 winner with cn AF43K. My country of chargeability is Somalia but I’m currently living in Uganda. I’m legally living in Uganda on a refugee status/ID. I have been a refugee in Uganda for the past 10 years.
I initially applied for the lottery using my refugee ID.
When I got to know I won the lottery, I immediately applied for a Somali passport since that’s what I will use to travel. Luckily I got the passport in 7 days time.
I then filled my DS260 using this newly acquired passport info & submitted the DS260.
This new passport doesn’t have any Visa stamped on it since I haven’t traveled with it. It’s completely empty without any Visa.
The only reason as to why I got the passport is to process my Lottery case & use it to travel to the USA. I’m still on a refugee status in Uganda but have my country’s passport for DV purposes.
I will have my interview in Nairobi meaning that’s the first time I will travel with my passport to Kenya to have my interview.
So my questions are.
1. Is it a problem that I haven’t put my refugee ID info in my DS260
2. Is it a problem that my passport doesn’t have the Ugandan Visa since I have been living in Uganda.
3. Will I have to take my refugee ID for the interview?
4. Will the US Embassy need to do extra background checks? I’m fearing to be put on AP
What do you advice me to do moving forward. Please answer
December 15, 2022 at 20:17
1. No
2. No
3. Yes, just in case it is needed.
4. Possibly.
Relax and trust the process.
However, I would point out that Nairobi embassy is very dubious about Somali documentation, including education, so please pay special attention to that.
December 16, 2022 at 00:04
Thank you dear for replying back as this is very helpful.
Yeah I know the Nairobi embassy doesn’t accept Somali documents especially Education or work documents. But I’m not worried about that because I have completed my High school from Uganda & will be using those for my interview.
You’re amazing
December 15, 2022 at 14:05
Yes, every time spent out of the USA is excluded from the time required to become citizen. For example, let’s say the requirements to become citizen is to live in the USA for 5 years and during those five years you spent the total of 12th months out of the USA . So you have to minus those 12 months out of the five years which means you have actually spent 4 years. Thou the time you enter USA as permanent resident has been 5 years but you spent 12 months out of the USA make you you to spend 4years exactly. Hope I was a help to you.
December 15, 2022 at 19:32
Hello Simon
Me and my husband are on H2b visa extention approved until May 2023.
He won the DV lottery and we have been gathering documents and study Sm1mom Blog for AOS.
Case number EU 15xxx. When he made the DV fee payment for both of us.. he received the 2NL. He is current in February and we have all the documents ready. Just the medical due in Janurary.
I just saw a case on the blog and I don’t know what to do now.
In 2020 flight got canceled and I have managed to fly out of US on June10th ( I 94 was until May 25th) and I have applies for COS so I dont have unlawful presence. COS was denied considering I left the country.
That means I was out of status and I cant process AOS?Should I process FTJ and go home to the embassy and let him continue with AOS here?
December 15, 2022 at 20:19
Sm1smom would be your best advisor on AOS, but yes, I believe you must process FTJ.
December 15, 2022 at 22:02
Thank you for answering. I am following the blog and I will try to figure what’s the best plan. Since I am here and I have this job until May.. I wouldn’t leave my job right away.
We were now wondering what he should say at the interview? That I work here but I dont want to process AOS. He already pay DV fee for 2…
I know FTJ is for family leaving out of US. We have a lawyer but you and Sm1smom are more knowlageble.
Thank you again!
December 16, 2022 at 15:45
Also
1. If we could both change to CP from AOS.. will it be too late to file DS considering he will be current soon? Finish our contract here, file DS in the meantime and go home late april for interview and medical? I know everybody files early when CP..
OR
2. Our lawyers says that once he gets GC I can apply with I-130 if I maintain my status and and the issue with overstay for 15 days in 2020 due to covid wont affect me.
We don’t wanna be separated but I also would like him to take this opportunity, so trying to figure which options are possible and decide what to do.
Thank you
December 18, 2022 at 22:24
1. Again – ask Sm1smom.
2. The lawyer seems to be pointing you at a method of processing which would require a lawyer. I wonder why.
December 16, 2022 at 09:24
Dear Simon,
I’m a 25 year old Iranian who lived in Italy since 19 studying, my appointment is on the 10th of January, to prove I won’t be a public charge i printed the last 10 transits of my bank account showing I have around 10k left in my account, a friend of mine said he took a 3 months movement list but my bank is giving me only the last 10 movements list. Should I worry that it couldn’t be acceptable?
2nd question:I read I need to take certificate of my mandatory vaccinations with me to the medical examination which is scheduled the day before my interview for me, should I worry about completing a few vaccines I need a booster for like diphtheria and tetanus before my examination? Or I’m allowed to complete before entry to the US?
Thanks
December 18, 2022 at 22:21
1. Usually 1 to 3 statements from the bank is sufficient.
2. The panel physician decides what is necessary and can administer missing vaccines. So – if you have them before, you might be taking unnecessary vaccines.
December 16, 2022 at 15:31
Hi Birt
I’m a Good-luck plaintiff DV2021 from Asia. I have 2 questions
1- If I was in the US when the final judgment of the Good-luck case will take effect and interviews will start to be scheduled, what will be my options then? can I do an adjustment of status since ill be inside the states or do I have to leave the U.S. for an interview if I got the chance to have one?
2-how getting married will affect my application since the lawsuit has been going on for a long time? what is the best option if I want to get married?
Thanks a lot for your kind help
December 18, 2022 at 22:22
1. The visas will be used fast. AS AOS is a slower process where the visa is not reserved until the case is interviewed, I think it would be unwise to try AOS.
2. Get married early and include the spouse if you get processed.
December 17, 2022 at 01:17
Hi Simon, Thank you for your valuable support. I am a dv 2023 winner. I am unable to type “/” in the address field of my ds260 form due to some restrictions enabled in that form. Since my address contains “63/2” I have to input “/”. So please instruct me how to resolve this issue.
December 18, 2022 at 22:25
Use a space perhaps – use your own common sense.
December 17, 2022 at 14:20
Hi dear simon ,Is there a problem with the embassy in doing the medical before receiving the 2NL ?
December 18, 2022 at 22:27
1. Sometimes the physician requires the proof of the interview scheduled.
2. The visa validity is based on the date of the medical – so if you do it early you are loosing validity time.
Why the rush?
December 18, 2022 at 04:58
Hi Brit,

Hello Brett Simon
I sent my Ds260 in October, and my case number is 16,000 from Africa. When do you expect the processing date for my file and the interview date?
Thank you
December 18, 2022 at 22:30
I don’t know exactly.

I studied in Cameroon for two years. Unfortunately the country doesn’t provide a police clearance for non residents no longer living in Cameroon. It appears as if one must inform the immigration authorities so that it could be organized before leaving the country.
A year later, I learnt about the dv lottery while in my birth country South Africa. I realised that I must obtain a police clearance if I lived in another country for more than 6 months.
Does this mean that I must go back to Cameroon if I get selected for dv 2024?

I don’t think you have read the reciprocity page for Cameroon correctly as there is a process available for people not present in Cameroon.

Hello Simon,
Got my interview last Wednesday, and my visa has been approved!
First, thank you so much for everything you did for me, you truly helped. i’ll be moving to California, I’d love to meet you, and was wondering if there was a way to reach out to you once I’ll be in California?
Also, could you please tell me if there is a way to check the status of the case, and how to know if my passport has been sent back to me please? do they give a tracking number?
Thanks a lot again.

1. California is a big State – but if you find yourself in the SF East Bay – ping me.
2. Patience is best. The courier may provide some notification.

You are current now, so don’t unlock – I don’t think it will cause a problem.

I am a DV 2023 winner from Ghana with case number less than 100. I have submitted my DS 260 in September and have not received my interview date.Do I have any chance?
December 22, 2022 at 08:17
Yes – but because you submitted so late you will have to be patient for at least 1 to 2 months.

Hi brit. How u been. Hop u r ok. Case number 2023af10***. I fill the social media identifiers only with my names. Does this cause problems. Do I need to change it while my case is current.
December 22, 2022 at 08:21
Leave it as is for now since you have a low case number and are current.

Hi Brit. Me and my wife’s CN is EU13***. Our current address is Canada, Vancouver. We are supposed to have interview in Montreal, but we will probably go to our home country Bosnia in next days or months and stay there for some time. Bosnia is our citizenship country and country of eligibility based on which we were selected.
We would like to change location of our interview before we get 2NL (We are current for Europe now). Will there be any issue for doing that? Do we need to change our current address to our Bosnian address or we need just to ask for changing the location?
It would be a big cost for us to go to Europe and come back to Canada just for interview.
If you have any other advice, it would be highly appreciated.

I believe I answered you on the live session.

Dear simon. CN 2023af10*** from kenya. I made a mistake in ds260. I fill all social media identifiers with my name. For example in tweeter I write my name instead of @yonasgoitom13. Does this cause refusal. Do I need to unlock while my CN is current.

December 20, 2022 at 02:02
Hi Brit. What’s your opinion in high jump in numbers in latest VB for all regions except EU?
December 22, 2022 at 08:26
I discussed this on the live session yesterday.
December 20, 2022 at 02:03
Dear Simon,
Thank you so much for you advices. My case number has been scheduled in February 2023 visa bulletin. I did not mention my social media activity information in the ds260.
Could you please let me know if it is possible to unlock my ds260 to input those information at this time.
Thank you.
December 22, 2022 at 08:27
It may be too late to make that change. So you will have to attend the interview and make the change then.

Hi BRITSIMON I’m a DV lottery winner in DV-22 in 53K, and I want to ask you something, sir. We are a one-child family that has already completed DS260. I would like to request unlock to remove my spouse and child to minimize the cost. and latter to request my family. What is your advice, sir?
I’m from Somalia it doesn’t have embassy so I’m going to Djibouti and their financial cost is too expensive and i don’t have that capacity to paid it. so i need your advice sir
December 22, 2022 at 08:28
You can attend the interview alone, but understand that it will take years and much more money to bring your family later.

Dear Brit,
I’m the same 25 y.o. Iranian who lives in Italy asking you many questions, and grateful for your help.
So I moved in Italy in 2017 and I started medical school, on the first two years after my arrival in Rome, I didn’t have a fixed adress because I lived at one of my sisters’ friends flat. But I couldn’t legally register my adress because they wished not to add me to their contract. After about a year I wanted to apply for an Italian identity card, I contacted a social assistant section in the municipality of Rome and explained them that I need to register an adress but where I live I can’t get an official contract, and they registered an official adress for me at the municipality assigned to my name based on which I was officially registered and I could get Italian identity card.
On my ds260 I have just inserted the adress I recieved in municipality from 2017.
I don’t know if all this could confuse them and even if I should explain them in detail…
But I guess I should definitly bring up the fact that I made a mistake of putting that adress on my ds260 from 2017 whereas I infact got that adress somewhere in 2018.
One year after however I moved to the universities student housing and I mention it correctly on my ds260.
Can this mistake in my ds260 cause a rejection (or the confusing situation of it) what suggestion do you have to get it all right and more straight forward?
Thank you

By the way I have My appointment scheduled already on the 10th of January

You are overthinking a trivial point.
December 20, 2022 at 05:52
Hi Mr Simon. Hope you are good. I seemed to have put the incorrect name on myUSCIS online account and I can’t change it. The system don’t allow one to change it.
My question is will this incorrect name go on my green card? And if so how can I go about changing it. Thanks.
December 22, 2022 at 08:30
I don’t know. Contact USCIS.

Hi Brit..I’m a dv2023 winner, but I was denied the U.S. visa in 2020.in my DS160 application form ,my agent put my marital status as married yet I wasn’t .he just wanted to show the ties of me coming back in my country!i have applied for the dv twice stating that I was single..
My Qn is,will this affect my interview, will they bring back my marital status I used on the Business visa I was applying for ?
December 22, 2022 at 08:31

December 20, 2022 at 10:12
Hi,
I would like to know if I apply for F1 visa while being a winner of dv2023 are they gonna reject my visa for sure or they might disregard it and approve my F1 visa? (given the fact my case number is high-AS22***)
December 22, 2022 at 08:31
Denial is not certain.
December 20, 2022 at 13:57
Hey Brit…I’m a Dv2023 winner but I once was denied a visa in 2020(Business Visa)but when my agent was filling the DS160,he indicated that I was married yet I’m not married!!!I have applied for the dv twice indicating my marital status as Single!
My Qn:can that affect my interview ??do they dig my marital status in the previous non immigrant applications ?
December 22, 2022 at 08:34
So were you lying then about being married or are you lying now about being single?
Honesty is important.
