Hi Simon,
My cousin case number is AS32XXX from Rangoon. Based on your projection, do you think the case will be current by July?
Also, my cousins are elderly folks. Is it possible for them change their status in the U.S – even if their case is not current – if they happened to get approved for their U.S visit visa?
April 29, 2024 at 07:33
No I don’t think they will go current.
They would have to be current to adjust status.
May 2, 2024 at 15:36
Hi Simon
On upcoming vb (july), my case is 2024AS0000996x .
Do you think can I get current on July?
May 2, 2024 at 18:09
Yes
April 29, 2024 at 00:44
Hi Simon
If I am in 221g at the end of the month and the embassy has to give back all their unallocated visas, once/if my 221g is resolved next month can they only use a visa from a refusal that occurs in the same embassy or can it be from any other available visas remaining ? (cause my embassy doesn’t seem to refuse much)
Thank you
April 29, 2024 at 07:34
If they return the visas at the end of the month to KCC, then KCC can reuse the visa for any embassy.
April 29, 2024 at 09:42
Understood, thanks! So it is far riskier to be scheduled at the end of a month ??
And do the embassies HAVE to give them all back at the end of each month, or can they keep it if they feel the 221g is soon to be resolved ?
April 29, 2024 at 09:46
They have to account for each visa at the end of the month – that means sending back any not used in the month. If a 221g case finishes in a later month, then the embassy can reuse visas from its allocation in that month (from other cases that went into 221g or were refused, no shows etc). If no visas are available within the embassy they have to ask KCC to allocate visas for that clearing 221g case, so that adds some delay (a couple of weeks).

AS24000 Do i have a chance to get interview?
April 29, 2024 at 07:36
It is unlikely, but not impossible.
April 29, 2024 at 08:57
Dear Mr. Simon. My number is AF51xxx I submitted my DS260 in May (I was overly excited and very ignorant of what DV was all about and I thought the sooner I send the better -Lol I thought I was going to be out of here by July 2024) I have gone through the printout and it is filled correctly (thank God) but now I am still NVC yet other numbers even as high as AF53xxx are Ready. Is there a way to know why am still NVC?
April 29, 2024 at 08:59
Which embassy are you expecting to interview at?
May 1, 2024 at 10:22
Hi BS?From your analytical skills and expertise how do you see NRB,will they send out 2NLS as they did last month?by sending out 2NLS of 10k cases???again talk of case density or case numbers available per thousand in NRB
May 1, 2024 at 11:18
No amount of analytical skills enables us to read their minds about the capacity they will set. We can only guess and hope they keep up the high pace they set last month.
May 5, 2024 at 04:38
Got you BS!!!what about Social media accounts, when was filling ds 260,i forgot to state down other media accounts with their user names, will that have an impact when it comes to interviews day?
May 5, 2024 at 08:53
Hopefully not. If it does, they would give you a DS5535, and you would be on 221g until that is processed.
May 2, 2024 at 05:00
My embassy is Nairobi
May 2, 2024 at 09:37
NRB have NOT taken cases at 53K as you said. The highest case number they have taken so far is 50135. So – you will probably get your 2NL later this month for a July interview. Be patient.
April 29, 2024 at 12:23
Hi dear Britsimon 🤗♥️
I’m a real fun of you me and my wife.
In fact my wife is a dv winner this year 2024 and we are from tunisia and we choose our embassy in Tunisia for the interview.
The problem is that her case number is a high Case number 94.000 and we sent out ds-260 all the family with our two kids in 48 hour after releasing the result.
The total number of winners in Tunisia is just 221 winners sir .
I write to kcc a couple of Time to know if my ds was processed and they answered me that my forms was received and currently processed and take several weeks for processing which i do not understand.
Both of us are teacher in public function and we have not any legal problem any .
Please dear Britsimon..have we a chance for interview if ti goes current or on the three last visa bulletin and after all the gaps and holes.
Please answer us ❤️
April 29, 2024 at 13:10
Sadly, I think your biggest problem is going to be the case number. The embassy is doing fine, because as you say there are not many cases for them to handle, BUT I don’t think your case number will get current.
There are three visa bulletins left for the year – the first of those we will see, probably next week. So – watch that and hope my analysis about case numbers is wrong.
April 29, 2024 at 14:16
Hi Brit,
Any word on Montreal embassy? Do they process a lot of cases per month?
Thanks in advance,
J.
April 29, 2024 at 17:59
It is not a busy embassy – you can see the data here: https://dvcharts.xarthisius.xyz/ceacFY24.html#
April 29, 2024 at 18:01
Hi Simon,
I have my 2nl which is good. I have registered in angola USA embassy to confirm my appointment. my question is the person i used an address in USA for my arrival has changed their address. will it cause me any issue when i tell them during my interview?
Another question that i have is do I need to provide sponsor during my interview. if yes, does it have to be the same person am using for my arrivail address or i can use someone else who lives in different state from where i am going?
thank you!
April 29, 2024 at 18:06
1. No delay
2. That varies by embassy and by case. Ideally, go prepared to show finances or a sponsor (which can be a different person/state)
April 29, 2024 at 18:32
Hi Simon,
What do you mean by No Delay? since My case transfered to embassy i can’t update my form from KCC. How can i Update it now with out delay?
April 30, 2024 at 09:06
I was answering your first question. It won’t cause any delay (no issue) when you change the address in the interview.
April 29, 2024 at 19:15
Hi Simon
Four years ago I was a student on F1 in the US and had a (verbal) fight with a college roommate and he filed a restraining order against me (and so I filed one against him) and we both had one against each other for about a year. But I was never arrested or charged with anything, was all civil court.
After graduation two years ago I moved to Japan and applied for an ESTA to go visit my friends and it was denied because of the restraining order, so I had to apply for a B2 and I was placed in 221g for about 48 hours before being approved. I know visit the US regularly without any issue.
I am scheduled in June. Do you think this can cause a Green Card denial (or delay) ?
Thank you
April 30, 2024 at 09:07
From what you have said, no.
April 30, 2024 at 03:26
Hi MR Simon,
me and my wife we live in UAE and she is main winner and our company have 2 projects on going in Doha Qatar and in Nepal which give us the ability to shit our work location to one of them instead of Abu Dhabi which is our current interview location our numbers I 73k to use its same but were not really sure which will be better for us incase we got current we have to deiced with month so we can move either to Doha or Nepal what do you recommend which embassy will give us better chance since we will move either way kindly advise thanks.
April 30, 2024 at 09:10
You obviously have researched the data, and in a choice as impactful as this I would not give you a specific embassy recommendation. You must decide for yourself.
April 30, 2024 at 05:28
hi, this question might sound dumb but I wanna know, If I upload an old photo for entry (older than 6 months), will this immediately disqualify me, meaning I won’t even be selected, or, will it be the reason for a refection during the interview? I was hoping if you knew this info, since I could not find any official information about that.
April 30, 2024 at 09:13
It depends on some details you didn’t include, but I don’t want to waste time with hypotheticals, and quite frankly, the best idea is just follow the instructions.
April 30, 2024 at 11:27
I was asking because, I have about 2% suspicion that I might have uploaded an old photo (I remember I did not like the new picture I took so I was thinking about using the old one, again, I highly doubt that I used an old one, but I am still worried now), I have already been selected tho, so now I am worried if there might be a disqualification/rejection upon interview. Sorry if I made any grammar mistakes :)) and thank you for answering my question.
April 30, 2024 at 13:17
Well you can’t do anything about it now.
April 30, 2024 at 11:35
Hello, I know that you can not predict anything in advance in this lottery…however, since you are well looked into this, do you think 27*** case number is safe for EU this year? the embassy is Tbilisi (republic of Georgia), also, there are a lot of protests going on in Tbilisi at the moment, the government is trying to implement “russian law” and we do not want that, so there are a lot of protests and stuff…can this impact the embassys decision to issue visas for us?
April 30, 2024 at 13:18
That number should be OK, but I don’t know what will happen locally.
April 30, 2024 at 23:11
Hey, do you know if we need a criminal record certificate for our 1 year old? 😀 😀
May 1, 2024 at 11:13
No – the instructions make clear it is 16 and up.
May 1, 2024 at 11:47
yeah I am exactly looking for a link to read the instructions 😀 I can’t find them 🙁
I asked this already a few days ago but I can’t find my own question anymore
SORRY 🙂

Hi BritSimon,
I saw in your previous videos and archives that the non-response/no DS-260 rate decreases as the year progresses (which sounds logical), but what about the rate of no-shows at the interviews ? Doesn’t it increase significantly as the months go by ?
I would imagine that as we approach the summer the uncertainty grows for more and more people and many start to make other plans for the next school/professional year (that approaches just as the summer approaches), at least for the EU region?
Would love to know your analysis on it. Thank you!
May 1, 2024 at 11:14
I have never noticed such a change.
May 1, 2024 at 17:48
Do you mean that the no-show rate remains roughy similar between say October interviews (or even January/February) and say July or September ?
That sounds strange because that’s almost a year apart and a lot of things can happen in between (new significant other who maybe doesn’t want to move or get far from their families, possibly new job, possibly new kid, new disease) etc
May 1, 2024 at 18:14
No – I mean I have never noticed a change.
May 1, 2024 at 07:26
Hello everyone.
I have a question about the sponsor documents.
The sponsor sent me the 1099 forms not W2 fors.
Is there any problem if I send the 1099 forms ti the embassy.
Thanks
May 1, 2024 at 11:17
You don’t send the forms, you take them to the embassy along with the I-134.
In your case the sponsor might be self employed, and then a tax report (1040) is preferable.
May 1, 2024 at 14:27
Hi Brit
is the I-864 form required for the dv lottory applicants at the time of interview by some embassies?
i ask you as i have a friend recieved an email appointemnt from US embassy amman.and mentioned this form if applicable among the other requirements
Please your kind advice
all the best
Basem
May 1, 2024 at 14:36
Not that form. However, some embassies may ask for the I-134, which serves a similar purpose.
May 1, 2024 at 15:09
Thanks a lot and highly appreciated
May 1, 2024 at 15:58
Hello Brit.
I sent the ds260 form on 13.05.2023.
CN68xx I have not yet received the appointment email from the Turkish Ankara consulate. I wonder how long it will take for me to receive an appointment email, do you think the quota will be filled in JULY?
I would be happy if you answer. Thank you.
May 1, 2024 at 17:42
The quota will not be filled in July. Ankara have a backlog and are slowly working through that backlog. Because you omitted your region, I cannot guess when your 2NL will arrive, but in any case I recommend patience.
May 1, 2024 at 22:47
end of month still not get 2nl of 8.4k vb from nepal
May 2, 2024 at 00:38
Good evening Brit!
Is the next VB the one that will let us know if they’re trying to issue all the visas this year, or you think that’ll still be too early to draw ultimate conclusions regardless of the ‘jumps’ (or non-jumps) for July interviews ?
Thanks!
May 2, 2024 at 09:33
We can never rule out surprises, but each month that goes by without a good “push” for the numbers makes the chance of reaching the 55K much harder.
May 2, 2024 at 09:46
For EU what would you start to consider a ‘good push’ ? 25k ? More ?
May 2, 2024 at 06:19
I think if they are going to issue all the Europe visas which is about 20k then they need to move the visa bulletin faster in the three remaining months.to my mind they can still reach for Europe at most 36k .but who knows we have to wait and see.we are expected to know the new visa bulletin coming out in a few days or after a week and i am hoping to see a big jump something from 26k to 30k for Europe
May 2, 2024 at 07:38
Over the past decade they ended several years at around 14k instead of 20k for EU. If that’s what they’re aiming for this year, they probably won’t need to end beyond 30k, or barely.
So the next VB will be more telling, I suppose
May 2, 2024 at 09:45
Over the past decade, there was NO YEAR that ended at 14K, and in fact that never happened EVER. Not sure why you think that. You can check the actual history (back to 1995) at the link below, but in any case this year the hole density is higher than most years.
https://britsimonsays.com/historical-visa-bulletin-numbers/
May 2, 2024 at 09:48
No I meant 14k visas issued in a year for EU (not the CN 14k) lol
May 2, 2024 at 10:07
Ahhh I see – well yeah, but we are now dealing with the full quota of 55K, not the 50K (after NACARA reduction).
May 2, 2024 at 19:57
Oh I missed that, good to know! For EU what would you start to consider a ‘good push’ ? 25k ? More ?
I feel if they put July interviews anywhere below 25 they’re clearly not trying to fill the quota
May 2, 2024 at 21:07
Agreed
May 2, 2024 at 10:08
Hi Brit,
Is there any similarity with the year 2014? or what do you think the substantial difference is?
May 2, 2024 at 10:45
I don’t think there is any similarity between years other than they all start at case number 1 in each region.
May 2, 2024 at 16:23
Hi Simon
If i win the DV lottery and i want to do an AOS do i still need to fill in the DS260? i know its a big if but id just like to be prepared and get my documents ready if i do need to fill in the DS260. Thanks in advance
May 2, 2024 at 18:10
The DS260 is optional for DV. But anyway – wait until Saturday!!
May 2, 2024 at 18:45
ok thank you
May 2, 2024 at 16:57
good evening am a dv winner of 2023 my case number is 47549 am in guinea conakry my place of the interview is in Dakar the visa bulletin for May has been published since March 8 do you think that I could receive my 2NL in this month of May
May 2, 2024 at 18:12
Dakar is very backlogged, so there is some risk for your number.
May 2, 2024 at 18:29
so that means I wouldn’t have my 2NL during the 4 months that remain before I had too much hope as my case number is less than 48,000
May 2, 2024 at 21:06
I didn’t say that, but you just have to wait and see.
May 2, 2024 at 18:39
I wanted to know since the publication of the visa bulletin for the month of May if certain people who have their numbers in this bulletin visa have received the appointment letter for Dakar
May 2, 2024 at 21:18
there is a way to change the USA embassy from Dakar to Abidjan or Cameroun
May 2, 2024 at 23:04
Before your number became current, it would have been possible, simply by moving to one of those countries. However, it is now very difficult.
You have to contact an embassy and ask them to take your case. They will ask for proof that you are within their area. Then they, not you, have to contact KCC to ask to reassign your case to their embassy – and that is not easy to achieve.
May 3, 2024 at 01:19
Another possible solution if you really can’t change embassy and IF you currently have a tourist visa, is to go to the US and try adjustment of status once there (I know people who did just that).
But this was also far easier to do BEFORE becoming current. Now that you are current the border agents will see that application when scanning your passport and may deny you entry as a tourist if they suspect you come to adjust your status later (BUT it is not an insurmountable suspicion if you can show a return ticket and some road trip reservations or whatever).
If you really can’t change embassy, that might be worth the risk
May 3, 2024 at 06:45
Yes and no. That has problems associated with it.
1. Entering the USA with a plan to adjust status is against the terms of most non immigrant visas, so a person can cause denial of the AOS case that way. Traditionally it is thought that waiting for a period of time before adjusting (ideally 90 days, but less if you *have* to) might allow someone to claim they simply changed their minds while in the USA, but there is very little time left for that change of mind, and to succeed in the slow process that is AOS.
2. Someone must have the financial means to support themselves during this period of waiting then processing. Not everyone can do that.
3. Time is the enemy for AOS. I think the window is almost closed unless someone started that plan right now.
May 3, 2024 at 09:33
1. Yeah I agree May is probably the last month to start an AOS with real chances of completion..
Honestly if it weren’t for you I think most (if not all) of us wouldn’t know anything about embassy backlog and when to expect our 2NLs. I’m pretty sure that USCIS don’t expect us to know about our embassies’ backlogs or when our 2NLs will arrive. It might be possible to claim (credibly) that one realized they will never receive their 2NL at the end of a 2 or 3 week road trip in the US –but indeed risky.
2. You’re right about the financial means. But I would add that someone who doesn’t have the financial means (or someone to provide for them) to support themselves for 3 or 4 months without working are at higher risk of being denied even through consular processing –because they are very much at risk of becoming a public charge. What if the applicant breaks a leg or has an ‘everyday life accident’ that prevents them from working for a few months ?
Only Madonna has people believe she moved to NYC with $30 and lived 6 months on it…
May 3, 2024 at 05:54
Hello, what do you think about Sofia,Bulgaria? I am number 23 674. Thanks
May 3, 2024 at 06:48
Your number will probably be in the next VB in a few days. Sofia has very few interviews, which isn’t a problem since there are few cases there, so it should be fine.
May 3, 2024 at 12:51
what are your predictions for VB this month, can Europe go up to 28-29 k ?
May 3, 2024 at 14:03
That sounds a bit high – I’m hoping to see 25/26k
May 3, 2024 at 08:01
Greetings! If one person wins the green card lottery in the United States, and if his status is political refuge, is it acceptable to return to his country to take the next steps?
May 3, 2024 at 08:15
That person could process in the USA, or return home, or go to another country.
May 3, 2024 at 08:31
I mean, will his status impact negatively in getting the green card or not?
May 3, 2024 at 09:30
Generally not.
May 3, 2024 at 09:55
hello I would like to know the 55,000 visa that they issue to the families of the winners are included in the 55,000 visa
May 3, 2024 at 10:23
Yes – derivatives are counted toward the 55000 visas. So a winner with 3 family members will take 4 of the 55000 visas.
May 3, 2024 at 18:03
good evening there is a way to contact the USA embassy in Dakar to find out if I will have an appointment
May 3, 2024 at 21:42
They don’t know anything about your case at all until KCC schedules the appointment.
May 4, 2024 at 08:16
ok thank you I thought as soon as the Kcc published the May VB it was the embassies who sent the 2NL ok
May 3, 2024 at 22:53
Hi Simon
If I have around $20 000 in liquid savings, am I still at risk of being asked for an affidavit of support ?
Also would the affidavit necessarily have to be from someone who lives in the USA ?? The people who can financially support me in case of a medical emergency or else are MY PARENTS and they have very good salaries but they will remain in Germany and are not AT ALL interested in moving to the US.
Thank you
May 3, 2024 at 23:28
$20K is probably enough for a single entry or perhaps a couple.
May 4, 2024 at 03:28
Hi Brit, I’m from Iran and I live in the Philippines, I’m planning on to move to Canada and apply for a work permit there. My question is, if ever I win the DV25 tomorrow, and by knowing that I’m going to move to Canada in couple of months, what would be the best action I should take so that I get interviewed in Canada instead of Philippines?
Thank you so much for all your videos, I’ve learned a lot from you.
May 4, 2024 at 07:51
You would change your address (in the DS260) to Canada once you have moved.
May 4, 2024 at 11:27
Thank you so much for the reply, Simon. Well, I wasn’t selected. Next year hopefully.
May 4, 2024 at 16:01
Best of luck for next year.
May 4, 2024 at 08:23
my question is to know in which site I can know from this month of May the total number of visas published ok
May 4, 2024 at 09:04
Lots of data here:
https://dvcharts.xarthisius.xyz/ceacFY24.html
May 4, 2024 at 10:41
Do I need to be vaccinated against Covid in order to go if I win?
May 4, 2024 at 15:57
Yes
May 4, 2024 at 13:28
Hi, according to xartisius, they gave 23k visas so far, so less than half. do we know why they are working this slow this year and if they do it on purpose or will try to max the number of visas they issue?
what is your estimate for 2024AS17k?
Thanks
May 4, 2024 at 16:02
I think they will issue at least 50k – maybe 52/53k.
2024AS17K has a chance.
May 4, 2024 at 14:20
Has been selected 😉 DV2025 EU11xxx Last time was selected in DV2020 but we all know what happened…

HI BRIT I JUST WON TODAY BUT MY CASE NUMBER IS MOROCCO 47000 WHAT DO YOU THINK PLEASE ANSWER ME

May 4, 2024 at 14:32
2024 EU 46k here, 2025 no luck.
Can actively withdrawing the DV DS-260 provide an advantage in non-immigrant applications such as E2, VWP and at the POE generally? Never overstayed, good trackrecord, ties to Europe… Does it create other complications e.g. for potential future immigration?
May 4, 2024 at 17:47
You cannot withdraw the DS260. The “damage” is done upon filing. However, it is only a “factor” in the NIV application, not automatic refusal.
May 4, 2024 at 15:11
Hey Brit, won DV2025 with OC27xx (after winning 2024 with OC27xx). Unfortunate – hoping the case distribution will be slightly better this year
May 4, 2024 at 17:47
Let’s hope so!
May 4, 2024 at 15:33
Hi simon, how many people were selected for dv lottery 2025? Could we know now or in January
May 4, 2024 at 17:48
We will know in July/August.
May 4, 2024 at 15:51
Hi Brit, just saw my result for dv2025 and happy to say won it again but this time with relatively low case number.
Just a question, since i am a winner for dv2024 should i wait for it to end and then submit my ds260 for dv2025?
May 4, 2024 at 17:48
No need to wait – you can have both forms running at the same time.
Please add your number here – https://forms.gle/EzP4cYveosycLM7K7
May 4, 2024 at 17:33
Hello Simon. I just came across your videos today, since I was selected for the us dv lottery 2025. Do you think a 18xxx case number (Europe, Italy) gives me a good chance to get the interview? Also, my passport is currently expired so I cannot complete the ds-260 form yet. I will get a new passoport on July 8th. Is it too late? Is it true that the later you complete the form the lower the chances to get the interview? Thank you in advance.
May 4, 2024 at 17:50
Congratulations.
Yes your number is fine – I’m already seeing EU numbers far higher than that.
You should complete the DS260 – you do not need the passport – there is a place to select another national ID. Use that.
Please add your number here – https://forms.gle/EzP4cYveosycLM7K7

Thank you! I added the number! When it asks me travel document I do not select passaport, instead I select other travel document, right? But It says you should list a travel document that you can use to travel to the US. I do not think I can use the italian id card to travel to other places other than EU countries.

You did it right – you cannot travel on the ID card, but you can show the passport at the interview.

Hello Brit,
I used elis to pay for my immigrant fee today and I was charged $235 instead of the $220 I was initially aware of.
Is this a new change or did they overcharge me?
May 4, 2024 at 18:30
Yeah – the charges were increased – $235 is the new charge.

Hello Simon,
Great videos very informative. Had a couple questions. My sister won the DV2025 lottery EU15xxx.
1) In your experience is her number low enough to be called of course no guaranties?
2) when she filled out the dv lottery entry she said divorced which she is currently legally divorced from her first husband BUT she has a new finance and which they just had twins in March of 2024 they are planning on getting married end of this month. Since the finance name was not on the dv entry can we add his name on the DS260 after they officially get married with papers and should she wait to fill out and submit the DS260 so that the new marriage will be official and recorded?
3) Am I correct that each person (my sister each child even if they are only 3 months old and her new husband will need a separate DS260 to be filled out)?
Thank you so much in advance.

1. Yes. I have a survey going on and it shows EU cases up to 40K at least so 15XXX will be safe.
2. Yeah she should hurry along with the wedding. She can submit now if she wants then add the spouse after te wedding.
3. Yes

good evening my question is to know my number appears in the VB for the month of May the kcc gives the appointments in chronological order where it is based on those who made their DS260 first
May 4, 2024 at 20:55
No it is AV queue order.
May 4, 2024 at 21:26
my question the May visa bulletin is from 45,000 to 52,000 the kcc sends the 2NL chronologically or randomly for example if the one who has number 50,000 has done his DS260 before the one who has 46,000
between the two who will receive their 2NL first
May 4, 2024 at 23:20
Again, by AV queue position.

Hi Mr brit, thank you for your advice,I m a winner of DV lottery dv2024 and I got my visa approved last month thank God ,I have 12 friends from Tunisia who play the DV 2025 and no one was selected (different age, different family situation, different time for the entry, different City)any explanation please thank you
May 4, 2024 at 20:56
The chance of selection is less than about 0.5 to 1%. So you would have needed 100 to 200 friends (on average) to be statistically likely to have had at least 1 winner. 12 is too small a sample.

Hi Simon,
Thanks for all the info you provide!! I have a few questions I hope you can answer below..
1. On Consular Processing (CP) or Adjustment of Status (AoS): Can you change this later by unlocking the CEAC? I’m specifically thinking of if I opt for CP, can I change to AoS later or can I change the consulate at which I want to process it?
2. If you apply for AoS but it will expire before your interview, is there any sort of bridging or grace period?
3. If I am on an F1 visa but have graduated, would my primary occupation still be considered a student?
4. Under “Present Work”, it looks like you can only submit one job per category. Is that right? Should I try to enter all the jobs I hold as a freelancer under different categories?
5. Under Education, I’ve done a few different certifications and courses but not all of them relevant to what I do now. Should I only enter major degree-issuing institutions
Thanks again!

1. Yes
2. No
3. Yes
4. A period of time as a Freelancer is one job (with multiple clients)
5. Yes

Hi Brit!
Four questions.
1) My number is 2024EU40xxx. Do I still have a chance to be invited for the interview? Is it rather a small chance?
2) My previous passport expired. I used it for my initial application for DV2024. In DS-260 I used a new passport which is valid. So, I used two different passports. One was used for DV 2024 Lottery application and other one for DS-260. Is it ok? Will I be denied because of this?
3) Should I unlock my DS-260 if in my address history address for 8 months of my life is not correct? It is totally different (even another country), but there are other addresses mentioned from that country in DS-260 for other years. So, it is not an additional country “to check” for security
4) Should I unlock my DS-260 if I need to change the address for sending me the Green Card? Will it be possible to change it on the interview?
Thank you in advance!
May 4, 2024 at 23:22
1. It’s a very small chance.
2. It’s fine. You would show the new passport at interview.
3. No
4. At interview is best.

Thank you so much for your answers! You are amazing person

Sorry, Brit Simon, I am sorry for my bad question, probably it is stupid. I wish you could explain this to me, but of course I understand if you prefer not.
The question: I am trying to understand Visa Bulletin as per your article and I think I understand. So, if they add only 3 thousands each month (18 000 in May, 21 in June), I have CN 2024EU40xxx, does it mean I will never become current? So all forms DS-260 with numbers 30,40,50 etc will be left ignored? Does it mean they leave around 10 000-20 000 of DV lottery selectees without an interview? They wrote on the official web-page that the difference between selected candidates and number of visas available not more than 5 000 I think. And from my understanding it is much more in fact
May 6, 2024 at 09:59
There are 55000 visas. Globally they selected 143000. So – more people in DV2024 will NOT get a visa than the 55000 who get a visa.
Your number is very risky – probably too high.
