There are people who for one reason or another have not yet submitted their DS260. AS I have posted before, the window to safely delay your submission is closing fast. It might be the case that processing times speed up, but so far we have not seen evidence of that. We might see some increase in the next batch of 2NLs, but I wanted to send this warning now, just in case times have not reduced.
IT is probably helpful to understand the current processing times.
So far each month that goes by they have bundled up another months worth of DS260s. So – most forms submitted up to the end of July got 2NLs in December (assuming they were current of course). Most forms submitted in August got 2NLs in January (March interviews). In a week or so we will start to hear from people who get February 2NLs. If those people are submissions only up to the end of September it will mean there has been no increase in speed. If however we see some October submissions in there it will show there has been a small increase in speed.
However, if we assume there is no increase in speed at all the table of DS260 submission date to interview date would look something like this (this is in general – there will be cases that are exceptions to this timeline).
Now this table includes pretty much all submissions in a given month. By now the majority of cases will have been processed – so I don’t think a reduction in the waiting time before processing starts is unreasonable – but that is common sense talking and KCC don’t seem to work under the laws of common sense. We know that KCC haven’t even been looking at DS260s for 3 to 4 weeks up until recently.
Then the last point is the complexity/speed of the DS260 processing. Not all DS260s process at exactly the same speed. A simple case of an unmarried person from a English speaking cooperative country with limited travel history is going to need less processing time than someone from somewhere such as Iran and with a spouse and 2 kids over 18.
So – as I mentioned before – submitting your DS260 is a gamble. I would expect to see an increase in speed soon – at least until the May 2016 influx of work BUT I would not want to bet my own case on that gamble!
February 12, 2015 at 20:22
Would not bet mine on it either. Thanks Simon!
February 12, 2015 at 20:28
I am 44000CN and still have not submitted mine. Is it a time to do it now? Why is it a gamble?
February 12, 2015 at 20:48
Well it is a gamble because if you look at the chart (which is based on the processing speed so far) a March submission may not make it in time for a September interview UNLESS they speed up processing. Once September has ended no more cases can be approved.
February 15, 2015 at 09:16
I am planning to do AoS, this 2 NL is meant to be for people doing CP right?
February 15, 2015 at 17:12
Yes – there is a 2NL for AoS cases, but it is different – and comes earlier.
February 24, 2015 at 17:05
Hi. WE sent our ds260 in mid September and unlocked it (employment status changed) in November and sent back in early December. Our case n is 2015EU23xxx what do you think about reception of 2nd letter? Thank you.
February 24, 2015 at 17:46
I exp[ect you to get the 2NL today.
February 24, 2015 at 20:55
Extraordinary!!! I’ve got the email at the same time as your reply 🙂 thanks.
February 24, 2015 at 21:23
🙂
February 29, 2016 at 18:02
Hello.. my case number is Af00042*** when do you think my interview will be scheduled and also have found out am pregnant due on late october… will I be able to get the visa or will I be disqualified? Kindly help.
February 29, 2016 at 21:10
Interview around August. The pregnancy isn’t a problem.
February 12, 2015 at 20:40
Brit, if you unlock the ds-260 after a long time since the first time it was submitted, will there be a slow down at the processing, or it won’t matter since it was submitted earlier the first time?
February 12, 2015 at 20:51
Well again – for you it is important to be clear about the names. But in some cases the changes cause almost no delay – but with your number there is plenty of time to update that now and the reprocessing may not have any impact at all.
February 12, 2015 at 20:45
Ni slow down after an unlock
February 12, 2015 at 20:58
Please Simon in the previous year without the DS260 how many times they take to process forms?
February 12, 2015 at 21:02
4 to 8 weeks.
February 12, 2015 at 21:06
Hi Simon.
1.There are guys. Send form ds-260 in October. Interview – march.
2. There are guys. Send Form DS-260 in October. Answer KCC – @Your case number is now current for interview processing. @
SORRY! for my bad english
February 12, 2015 at 21:10
1. I haven’t heard of any case like that – and there was only one case I heard that was a SEptember submission (but was dubious)
2. That would be good news – and perhaps we will see they have increased pace. But – so far we have not seen that in volume.

February 12, 2015 at 23:24
If your theory is confirmed – the ds260 processing pace still be the same -5month will it give more chances to big cn to be current?
February 13, 2015 at 00:07
Well – I am not saying this is a theory. My guess would be that processing WILL speed up – but the timelines I am suggesting are a “what if” they don’t speed up. Better to be safe than sorry – until we know for sure.
Now – if the delay stays in place, then it will help each region to some extent – but not so much for example to make Africa current.
February 13, 2015 at 09:04
i not send your the link////
February 13, 2015 at 16:44
The link was to your own comment here.
February 13, 2015 at 06:41
I sent forms in October 19. Few days ago I received message from KCC that forms are already processed. I know another person from different forums who are also sent forms in October and forms already processed.
February 13, 2015 at 16:42
That is encouraging. Are you current already? If so – will you please let me know when you get your 2NL. The 2NLs are only sent to people that are current and were processed by the beginning of the month. So – if you are current, but your forms were not processed until let’s say Feb 5 or 6 – then you might miss out on April interviews anyway – so it will be interesting to know….
February 13, 2016 at 17:08
Yes – they have processed forms submitted even in December…
February 13, 2015 at 06:52
Hi,
this is guiding me to ask you :
My CN AS54** and I have submitted my DS-260 on 19 May – thereafter, I have asked to unlock the form and resubmitted on 17 Dec. (I’m under UAE selectee and I’m single)
is there any impact of processing my case? probably my CN will be current on May – then, will I get the 2NL on time or it will be delayed somehow???
Thanks
February 13, 2015 at 16:43
I don’t think you will be delayed at all as there has been plenty of time to reprocess whatever changes you made in December.
February 13, 2015 at 10:45
Hello sir
If you are AFXXX46 thousand and you submitted your DS260 on the 4th of August 2014,when should you expect your 2nd Letter?
February 13, 2015 at 16:46
Only when AF46XXX goes current – which will probably be for June/July interviews (April or May 2NL)
February 13, 2015 at 12:40
Last month some people who submitted forms on first a couple days of the september got the 2nl. Could that limit be a week or 3th,5th of the month? Is it right to deem first a couple of days of the month with previous month’s last bunch ? I just want to learn whether 3/11 submitted form could be involved, in case the latest october submissions would get the 2nl?
February 13, 2015 at 16:52
Yes – it is not a hard cutoff – there will be some from the end of the month that don’t complete in time like the rest of the forms, and some from early ion a month that get in early. It is not a precise thing – and a few people are now telling me that their October submitted forms are processed – which would indicate things are speeding up anyway. So – relax and wait what we learn from the next batch of 2NLs (in a week).
February 13, 2015 at 19:05
already waiting desperately, please let me know when things get clear.Thanks.
February 14, 2015 at 06:03
If they will go in this pace. They will not give out 52,000 visas.
February 16, 2015 at 16:59
“If they will go in this pace. They will not give out 52,000 visas.”
Sorry for my ignorance but how do you mean ?
February 14, 2015 at 15:27
Hey Britsimon
My case nr is EU29XXX. I submitted my ds-260 end of Jan.
Now I’d like to unlock it to update my passport nr (it expired recently and I just got a new one).
On top of that, seriously thinking about getting married to the GF (we’ve been together 7 years and have been legally co-habitating for 5 years so no issues of possible fraud here).
However, a little worried about the unlocking. I mean, I did submit my ds-260 very late 🙁
Will unlocking it cause further delays and set my case back further ? Would you advise I unlock once to adjust all changes (new passport nr + marital status) rather than unlock now for passport nr and again in a few weeks when we managed to get married ?
Thx in advance for yr guidance.
February 14, 2015 at 17:51
Well – I really think DS260 processing will get faster, and the original submission date is what counts most, but in any case accuracy is most important.
If you want to marry – do that asap!
February 22, 2015 at 20:44
Cheers once again, BritSimon.
Getting the papers sorted out for the marriage.
Just wondering about something and you seem like the right person to ask 🙂
So it takes some time for the KCC to process my DS-260 (which I submitted end of Jan).
Now with my CN being EU29XXX, I will become current when the next Visa Bulletin comes out mid March (last Bulletin went up to 28,500).
How does this work actually ? Chances are the KCC won’t have processed my DS-260 in this timeframe, right ? How ‘bad’ is that for my application ? Does that mean higher CN will jump ahead of me, diminishing my chances ? I know, my fault for submitting my DS-260 so late, but just curious about how all this works…
Thx in advance for any insight you may offer.
February 16, 2015 at 16:49
Hi simon
I appriciat ur active respons.
I just changed present address (Present address & postal zone ) thats with in my country region & city & I feel it to DS-260 w/c vary from origional entry, Is that might considered hardly ?
thanks !
February 16, 2015 at 19:28
You don’t need to unlock for that, just correct it at the interview.
February 22, 2015 at 03:39
Hello Simon,
Thank you for the detailed analysis for the processing time of DS260. Your article is really useful for all the enrollees of DV lottery. Here I have a question and would like to know your opinion.
I’m hesitated about whether submit my DS260 right now. My CN is AS122XX. According to last year’s record, such CN could be interviewed on either August or September. My wife is planning to apply a degree program in the US in the end of 2015. Yet, as far as we know, once DS260 is submitted, my wife will be recognized as having an immigration attempt. Under such circumstances, she might have a trouble with F1 visa application.
According to your analysis, if we are lucky enough to be interviewed on August / September, we should submit our DS 260 right now (if only if the interview CN reaches to 122XX on August / September). Otherwise, the delayed DS260 processing time might let us miss the interview opportunity.
We are facing a dilemma that whether or not submitting DS260 right now. If we submit DS260 but end up with no interview, the student visa application will be troublesome. However, AS122XX seems to be worth a try. Should we wait for another month to see the CN progress before submitting DS260, or submit it immediately? It would be a great help if you could share your thought for my case.
Thank you in advance!
February 22, 2015 at 04:06
That’s tricky.
Firstly, you should not worry about the DS260 causing issue for the F1. Yes, it is a sign of immigrant intent – however, immigrant intent is ASSUMED for most non immigrant visas – including the F1. So – it is essential that you provide good proof that you have ties to your home country and that you intend to return home once the visa degree program is ended. The submission of the DS260 is only a small extra factor in that – not a complete blocker.
However, your number is in a risky range. It will only go current (if at all) at the end of the program – so that would almost certainly be September (i.e. not August). However, in order for the number to go current, Iranian AP will need to behave the same way as last year. I suspect that will be the case – but I can’t be certain. So then your number will be one of the highest to go through assuming they don’t cut it off before.
On balance, if it were me – I would submit the DS260. I am pretty confident that things will have speeded up – BUT if you are going to submit at all you need to do it now – within the next 2 or 3 weeks. If you submit it later than that you will have increased your immigrant intent risk, but will have run a high chance of not being processed in time. Really very silly. You aren’t going to learn anything about case number progress within the next 2 or 3 visa bulletins – the only one that will count is the last one. Progress will be slow until Nepal hits the 7% limit and that probably won’t happen until May or June (July or August interviews). So – decide now, and submit in the next couple of weeks – OR forget your DV win and move on with life.
Good luck!
February 22, 2015 at 09:05
Thank you so much for the response, Simon! We will send out the DS260 soon!
February 25, 2015 at 10:01
Hi, Simon!
First of all, thank you a lot for your blog and a lot information for DV lottery! It is so much informative…
We are waiting for our interview. Submitted DS-260 in October and the case is active, but interview is not scheduled for April. So, will wait for 2NL in March…
You said
>> A simple case of an unmarried person from a English speaking cooperative country with limited travel history is going to need less processing time than someone from somewhere such as Iran and with a spouse and 2 kids over 18.
Any speculation what kind of processing KCC are doing? I just thought that they forwarding the forms to appropriate embassy and that’s all.
February 25, 2015 at 17:02
No – we know they are doing more than that. They will obviously be checking against their own database of entries in this year and past years. Then they will be doing various background checks (mainly security based) to verify whether the selectee warrants additional security screening (which can cause AP after interview). I’m sure they go to other agencies for their information – and it is probably in that process that things have got slower this year.
February 25, 2015 at 10:28
Hello
Thanks a lot for such a useful information!
Do you have any data on how many DS-forms have been submitted during every month? Don’t you think that the vast majority of DS-forms were completed in (for example) may-september (or october) 2014 so the monthly amount of DS-forms completed in that period can be the same as 2-months period in november 2014-may 2015? Is it possible that november+december copletion will be scheduled in april, january+february – in may… and so on…
Thanks for your opinion!
Sincerely,
February 25, 2015 at 17:08
I have been making that same assumpotion (that the majority of forms would have been processed by now) for months. I keep expecting to see better progress – but it seems there is something “new” about the timeline – it just keeps failing to speed up. The latest submission for April interviews I have seen so far is October 5.
FYI – we have NO way to get information on DS260 submissions per month – that part is all hidden from us.
February 25, 2015 at 15:59
I simon I submit my DS 260 on October 2015 mys CN is AF 65xxx and in April my wife wil a new baby we already have 2 childen I want to know if I unlock my case to add a new baby this fact can delay my process sorry for my english i am native french speaker
February 25, 2015 at 17:10
No that will not delay your case. Your number will be scheduled for an August or September interview anyway because of the case number – so the addition of the child will have no impact – just do that as soon as possible after the birth.
February 26, 2015 at 05:37
Hi Simon, my CN is AS45XX and I am doing AOS here in the US. I submitted DS260 July7 but I recently got it unlocked to change my marital status and resubmitted it Feb10. When can I expect to get an interview? Thank you for the information.
February 26, 2015 at 06:30
The timing of your interview for AoS cases depends on the FO and when you submitted your I485 package – have you done that already?
February 26, 2015 at 10:27
Hi Simon think a lot for all done for everybody I want to as you advice me to add my new child as soon as possible can I do this whithout is Passport number because passport establishment will tak a leat 1 month
February 26, 2015 at 14:30
You might need to wait until you get the passport
February 26, 2015 at 15:28
No, I haven’t submitted my I485 package. I’ll do it next week.
March 1, 2015 at 14:42
Hi Britsimon
Thx so much for yr precious advice so far.
Just wondering about something : so it takes some time for the KCC to process my DS-260 (which I submitted end of Jan).
March 1, 2015 at 15:04
Yes, until your case is processed, other cases will be going ahead of you, and yes, visas run out. However you will probably be ok, because KCC try and make the visas last until August or September.
March 7, 2015 at 20:37
hello dear Simon , above all ,allow me to salute your great work and thanks you .
Just to know for people who send their form 19,may 2014.
According to the logic the BIG CN have their interview in August or September and they get these great CN have sent their form before the small CN.
Thanks
March 7, 2015 at 22:25
Sending the form early does not help mean you will get an interview if the number is not current. So, the only help for high case numbers is from people that have not yet sent in their DS260 and may not now be processed in time.
March 23, 2015 at 02:22
i submit my ds-260 in the fourth of march
do you think i will not get my 2nd letter at all! ?
my case number is not current . and it would not be before August
.
and if i will get . when do you think i will receive
March 23, 2015 at 02:26
You will have to wait and see. Hopefully they are speeding up with the processing…
April 26, 2015 at 19:55
Hello,
My case number is EU32000 and i have submitted my DS260 form at February 10. Do you think there will be any problem for taking interview date? Will it be possible to procces my form.
Thank you.
April 26, 2015 at 20:28
Yes of course it is possible. Relax.
May 4, 2015 at 07:42
Please I would like little clarification and proper understanding on what you meant that my forms have been received and pending further embassy review for the continuation of your visa processing. Is it the normal KCC DV procedure for all DV 2015 APPLICANTS.
May 4, 2015 at 16:04
If KCC have answered you that your forms are pending embassy review, it simply means the forms are processed and you will be scheduled once your case number is current.
May 16, 2015 at 10:27
hi Simon, thank u for this great forum and helping people
I was selected in 5 may 2015 for DV 2016 , but I want to renew my passport before submitting ds-260
what is the safe period to delay submitting ds-260?
thank you
May 16, 2015 at 16:10
Some people are only just submitting their DS260 for DV2015 – so it can be delayed a few months with no issue. If you have a very low case number a late submission might delay your interview a bit, but so what.
May 23, 2015 at 14:15
Hello dear Simon,
I have not filled yet the DS260.
But I just entered at the dvselectees web, put my CN and I see :
My IV applicant says “Incomplete” and for my spouse and child “Not Started”.
I haven’t put anything on the form, why does it say “Not Completed for me” ?
May such thing go to KCC, I din’t submit anything.
Pls tell me, do I have to worry or just relax?
Thanks
SAJA
May 23, 2015 at 18:13
I think you are saying you haven’t filled in the Ds260. You have to complete and submit the form if you want to progress your case…
May 27, 2015 at 03:08
You need to log in to your application and click on (incomplete) then you need to update all your information, about 5 or 6 pages you have to fill out at the end you will have to sign the application electronicly and submit it , do that as soon as possible, otherwise you willnot get the 2NL for interview .
May 24, 2015 at 15:32
Hello simon ,
1.In my DS-260 I did not include my previous working history , can i unlock my DS-260 for that??
2.My case number is 2016AF00050xxx when can i expect the 2NL ?? thanks
May 25, 2015 at 00:08
1. Yes unlock and correct.
2. About 1 year from now.
May 25, 2015 at 23:19
Hello Simon
thanks very much for your great forum i really appreciate taking from your time for helping people, i’m a winner for the DV program of this year 2016 my CN 2016AF000247XX .
for the question about (Work/Education/Training Information) (Does this job require at least 2 years of training or experience?i answered NO, BUT for (Have you attended any educational institutions? I answered YES and for Highest Level of Education Completed .
for college attendance, i answered UNIVERSITY DEGREE from July 2007 to November 2013 .
will this affected my eligiblity or do i need to request unlocking my application ?? because i’m already working as a doctor and doing a training in a hospital, i also have almost 2 years of training in medicine since i graduated but i just answered NO by mistake .
may i know also please approximatively when can expect my interview to be scheduled ?
Thanks and i will really appreciate your response
May 26, 2015 at 14:56
The error isn’t a big deal, but you can unlock and correct if you want – you have plenty of time.
Your interview will probably be around February/March
May 27, 2015 at 02:59
Thank you very much brother, you make me feel more much comfortable with your reply .
June 2, 2015 at 15:28
dear simon , concerning the number of institution attended, should l start with primary school or college ,and my college l attended in 2 different school which is Technical School and Technical High School how can l fill it , l have only high school Diploma , should l write 3 number of institution attended or 2 thanks very much
June 7, 2015 at 05:10
i sent my ds260 pretty quickly right after i got my confirmation of win email in May.
and then this week i unlocked it because i needed to change address details and employment details, i sent it back pretty much right away.
interview would be september. is that enough time?
sorry but i find reading the explanation of this head ache inducing LOL…………because according to other comments, the original submission is all that matters, subsequent corrections are quicker?
thanks for your help.
June 7, 2015 at 06:16
Some changes cause delay/reprocessing some don’t. The ones you describe do not cause a delay.
June 7, 2015 at 07:12
Thank, I also made a change in the security detail………you see when i first sent the ds260 i was in a foreign country to my own and i thought you had to send this stuff in as fast as possible…………..now when i was 14 i got stopped by a security guard for shoplifting…………….but i never actually got arrested (i wasn’t sure about this)
so i answered that i DID get arrested just to be honest…………and i wrote an explanation about it………..but when i got back home and was able to look at my record from the police………….nothing actually happened at all……….but see it happened so long ago that i just didn’t know for sure……..so i unlocked the ds260 to change that question about arrest to “No” instead of “Yes”
what do you think about this? would this cause a problem as well? i did it just because i didn’t want to cause any type of questions about it if nothing really happened
thanks again and sorry for the long story lol
June 7, 2015 at 16:54
The CO might be able to see that you changed your answer – so if asked just be fully open and honest – you will be fine and the crime was trivial and your were a minor and not even charged.
June 7, 2015 at 18:15
Thanks! one last thing that i changed………..I am applying with Hong Kong as the place of birth………..the part that says “City” and “province” i changed from Hong Kong/Hong Kong to Hong Kong/”does not apply”
apparently i found out hong kong is a city and i think has no province (who knows this stuff right?)
sorry for all the questions but i just want to be sure …this doesn’t matter too much right?
June 10, 2015 at 10:28
respected sir my interview was in august 2014 and i was asked for some papers i send that then i got a call from embassy that i have to send my new medical report i did that too now they asked me to again submit a new form ds 260 because my last form ds 260 is 1 year old and expired.now when i click on ceac website and my case no it directly take me to me already filled form ds 260 i cant fill new form how im going send them the new confirmation page.please give me guidance if u know what to do and how to resubmit form ds 260.that will b a great help.thank you
June 10, 2015 at 15:29
This sounds very unusual – so I don’t have anything to advise you other than do what the embassy tell you to do.
June 14, 2015 at 03:36
Hi Britsimon,
Thank you so much for your blog. I got more knowledge from your blogs about this dv lottery process. I want to clear 4 questions.
1) my case no is 2016ASXXXX2XXX, I plan to submit this 3rd week of June , most properly when can I get 2NL and interview?
2) I have bachelor degree in computer science, in interview do I need to bring my all educational certificates degree certificate, A/L and O/L?
3) in my degree certificate my father name spelling is bit wrong, I have already got affidavit. Is it enough?
4) In 2006 to 2007 , 1 year period I was working in Dubai ? Do I need to submit Dubai police report? If I didn’t mention in ds-260 form what will happend?
Thank you
Shangar
June 14, 2015 at 04:15
1. Because you are submitting a bit late, you probably won’t get interviewed until November or December.
2. Take A and O – that is what counts
3 That will be OK
4.Follow the rules and don’t lie.
June 22, 2015 at 17:05

Hi Brit, mine is an F4 immigration visa, my brother is the petitioner. The petition was filed on 14Aug2002. My daughter is 23 yrs old now, but according to CSPA she should be still eligible for immigrant visa. We paid the IV fees for her, but before we could fill her ds260 her name was taken out from the applicant list, in short I couldn’t fill her DS260, there’s no option for me to fill her DS260. My interview date is next month. I don’t know how I can include her name in the interview list, or fill her DS260 in some way, can you please help me out?

I have no idea how to help with that – I am not a lawyer and I only focus on DV cases. Good luck.

Oh well, thanks anyways

Hi Simon, I submitted my DS260 in May 12th, but I unlocked it in June 30th to make corrections, and now KCC is saying that they counted on my last login date which is June 30th, so my process is delayed, does that make sense? I have VERY LOW number and is now already current for 2016 DV. But they told me they did not schedule me in October interview due to my unlock of the DS260 in 6/30, when will I expect to get my 2NL notice for which month of interview since I already missed out the October interview? Thank you!
August 29, 2015 at 03:35
It depends what you changed – some changes need additional processing, some don’t. So – KCC think whatever you did needs more time. THat is impossible for me to predict – you will just have to be patient. The delay isn’t really a big deal…

Thank you so much Simon, so now they count as June 30th as my submission date, does that mean I may have to wait until around December to hear from them for the Feb interview for my DV2016?
August 29, 2015 at 15:02
Not that long, no.
2NL Possibly next month (November interview) or failing that an October 2NL and December interview.

when is the latest date to submit the ds 260 online form?
September 10, 2015 at 18:11
There is no published date but sometime around April or May would be the latest you should consider….

Hi sir, am winner for 2016 and my CN is EA00048. AND I have some passport problems which will be resolve in mid October 2015. If I fill in the ds-260 form in mid October 2015 will it effect my case number?
September 18, 2015 at 14:04
That is a strange case number. Your late submission will mean you will not get an interview until around April of next year at the earliest – and that assumes your case number is current by then.

His Simon. I submitted DS260 today, my case nr dv2016 eu18xxx. Should i expect maybe january second NL?
September 20, 2015 at 01:33
About that, yes.
September 20, 2015 at 10:30
Hi sir, I won for dv 2016 and my case is in 48 but am having some passport problems which will be resolve by mid October 2015. If I fill in the ds-260 form by mid October will it have any effect on my case
September 20, 2015 at 13:41
“In 48” is meaningless. Do you mean 2016AF48XXX?? If so then the late submission will have no affect on your case.
September 20, 2015 at 11:09
Hi Simon,
My Case number is 2016AS000040XX
– Firstly, I have submitted my DS260 form in 25th of May 2015.
– After I married, i have requested to KCC and they have unlocked my form in 27th of August and I have resubmitted it on the 1st of September 2015.
– My wife submits her DS260 on 12th September 2015.
So I want to know is we late to submit it? And if it is late, is our interviews will be late?
If you can, please guess my interview month.
September 20, 2015 at 13:40
You will not have caused delay. Relax.

Hello, my CN is 2016AF00048xxx but I will get my passport at the end of October 2015. If I fill in the ds-260 forms at the end of October, will it have any effect on my case. Please I really wanna know, thanks
September 20, 2015 at 13:39
No affect at all. Your case number is high, so you have plenty of time for the DS260 to be processed before your case is current.
September 20, 2015 at 13:36
Hi Britsimon, my question: when and how do we know if our number is current? What exactly does that mean?

September 20, 2015 at 18:44
Hi sir, thank you for the bulletin but it is complicated for me. Are you saying that if your CN is above 27000 you won’t be issue visa. Please clear my doubt
September 21, 2015 at 10:07
Thanks a lot Simon… 🙂
September 26, 2015 at 22:46
Hi Sir, please I wanna know what is cut Off and which case number is highly affected?
September 26, 2015 at 23:53
You have to be more clear. What region are you concerned about, what year, what month. Please be clear.

Hi,
I am just wondering what supporting documents do I need for form ds-260? Educational certificates? All attended school records? Employment records?
Thank you

This is all very clear in the instructions on the dvselectee website. You MUST read that!

Hi
I didn’t notice that i have been selected for dv lottery visa. I noticed that day before yesterday and i submitted my DS 260 form. Are they accept my late submits? What i have to do next?
December 31, 2019 at 17:49
No problem. You will later be asked for documents. Now you have time to read the FAQs and learn how to process your case.

No, your case number means you won’t be interviewed until very late in the year, August or September.
