These video goes into my explanation of when interviews will be scheduled, what effects the immigration ban will have and what you need to do to make sure you get your interview. If you are a DV2020 selectee who has not yet had an interview, please take the time to watch this video.
Document procedure – do not wait to be asked to submit.

1. I’ve texted KKC and they still reply those general texts. Is it okay? 2NLs will be sent soon and they don’t give me a confirmation that my documents are okay.
2. On the other hand, I don’t have any mail that my DS has been processed. Where can I see it?
May 5, 2020 at 23:55
1. Phone them.
2. See 1.

Hi Brit.
I contacted my Embassy to ask when they will start again to do interviews and their answer was not very good.
They answered me this:
the U.S. Consulates General in Naples, Italy has suspended routine immigrant visa appointments. We will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time. Diversity Visas (DV) are considered routine immigrant visas. DVs are also suspect to the Presidential Proclamations of March 11 and April 22, 2020. The DV-2020 program ends on September 30, 2020. There will be no extension of this date. Please monitor our website in the future for more information.
I saw this is the same answer that a Spanish girl have received by Madrid’s embassy.
Is this mean that they will not conduct interviews during these 60 days?
I contacted them because I have to receive my 2NL from April but KCC said me that they will send my second letter when my local embassy will reopen services for us.
So what? Is that mean I will not receive my 2NL until July? Thanks
May 5, 2020 at 23:32
The update above explains this and what they are saying/doing should not come as a surprise. The embassies are affected by COVID, and now the ban. As my video explains, the next batch of 2NLs can only be for July, although an embassy that is operating could choose to reschedule interviews for cases they have already received from KCC.
May 5, 2020 at 09:18
Hi Brit! I just saw this on the internet.I know that you were the first one who told us that interviews can be done and they could put us on AP.But I don’t know this person that made this video. Is it official or is just a speculation? What do you think?
https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=2Q3Try2jedY
Best regards for you!
May 5, 2020 at 23:13
The speaker is a lawyer, so its not “official” from the government but his assessments are correct.
May 5, 2020 at 06:48
I’m EU34xxx.
Called KCC yesterday they told me that my DS260 is okay and to give them month or so to process my documents.
You think I’ll get my chance for an interview??
May 5, 2020 at 22:52
Possibly.
May 5, 2020 at 03:53
Mr Brit
I received this e mail immediately after sending documents to the KCC. I send my documents in first week of March.
The Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) has received your email and is currently processing your documents. This email address, [email protected], is only used for applicants to provide the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) with documents required to continue processing Diversity Visa applications. [email protected] does not respond to inquiries. If you have any Diversity Visa related questions, please email [email protected] with your case number, complete name, and date of birth, as entered on your original entry.
You should expect an email from KCC in the next 3-6 weeks. If you do not hear from KCC after 6 weeks, please contact [email protected] to confirm all of your documents have been received, and you are ready to be scheduled for an interview.
1. This says “they already received my documents. And still processing”. So they have my documents with them and no need to send again.
Am I correct Mr Brit?
My cn AS 26×××
Thank you v much.
May 5, 2020 at 22:11
1. I would check again in a couple of weeks (by phone ideally).
May 4, 2020 at 20:50
Hi Mr Brit, greetings from this end. My cousin whom I relied on to stay with in the US if granted a visa seems to be disappointing. She doesn’t text me despite my efforts to keep the communication. I just want to forget about her.
1) my question is, can I change my sponsor?
2) what should I do since I filled her name and every information about her in the DS-260?
May 4, 2020 at 23:36
1. Yes
2. Change at the interview.
May 4, 2020 at 19:42
Hi Brit.
Thanks for everything you do for us.
I carefully read your site, and translate all the information from your videos and articles for Russian-speaking people. You give a lot of useful information to us.
I read all the comments from you and did not find the answer to my question. I sent a letter to the KCC with the same questions, but received a standard answer. I wrote to the US Embassy in Kazakhstan, we won DV from this country. But they also have not yet given an official answer.
I am interested in your opinion on this issue. The status of our case is now At NVC.
BUT!!! My wife is a doctor, she a general practitioner. She have been trained and have certificates for working with patients SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19).
President Donald J Trump canceled immigration for 60 days and the issuance of immigration visas. This proclamation contains exceptions:
“Sec. 3. Implementation and enforcement. (A) The consular officer, at his discretion, determines whether the immigrant has established his right to be excluded in section 2 (b) of this proclamation.
(b) The suspension and restriction of entry in accordance with section 1 of this declaration does not apply to:
(ii) any foreigner who wishes to enter the United States on an immigrant visa as a doctor, nurse, or other medical professional; conduct medical research or other research aimed at controlling the spread of COVID-19; or to carry out the work necessary to combat, restore or otherwise mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 outbreak, as determined by the Secretary of State, the Minister of Homeland Security, or their respective designated persons; and any spouse and unmarried children under the age of 21 of any such alien who accompany or follow in order to join the alien;
After moving, she want to continue to work as a physician in US healthcare, after confirming her qualifications.
Please tell us if she fall under this exception?
What u think anout that?
As an exception, it is not what a medical worker must have for proof. (and we got proof) It states that everything is at the discretion of the consular officer. It is not said that the doctor must be located or work in the United States.
What are the chances for doctors. Reading articles, I am more and more convinced that they need doctors. Here is what they write here.

May 4, 2020 at 23:42
The current ban ends on about June 23. The next interviews that can be scheduled will be in July, so unless the ban is extended, it doesn’t make sense to try and get an exception, even if it were possible.
May 4, 2020 at 16:55
Hello, my family was current and just that time they had to get their 2NL everything shut down. Do you know if this means they won’t get and interview anymore?
May 4, 2020 at 21:26
No – they will be rescheduled.
May 4, 2020 at 11:19
Hi, Brit Simon!
My case number is EU49 *. I sent DS260 in May 2019. In October 2019 KCC asked me for supporting documents. I sent the documents on January 24, 2020. I was delayed beacause my second child was born and I had to issued his passport and that took a time. I added a new applicant in DS260 after child`s passport was ready. After that I sent the supporting documents for all of my family members. I received an automatic response from the KCC that my documents are being processed and I’ll wait for an email within 30-60 days and contact them if I don’t have an email with additional instructions. I am beginnig to wondering whether my documents are in processing and whether they were ok. I follow you and while watching the last video some questions arose in my mind .
1. Please, do you think I have a chance to be interviewed in this situation, given that there are only 343 (Bulgaria) have won from the lottery in my country?
2. Should I wait until the end of June to ask the KCC if my documents are ok?
3. If my documents are ok, should i get I-134 or just wait 2NL?
Thank you!
Stay safe!
May 4, 2020 at 21:14
1. I don’t know for sure.
2. Not the end of June, no. The beginning of June *IF* not scheduled in May.
3. Wait for the 2NL.
May 4, 2020 at 10:17
Good day Brit.
My case EU51…, its current now.
My case there is KCC now.
I wrote in Embassy in Canada and I wanted to change place my interview. I have to do interview now in Moscow, but in July I will go to Canada. I have visitor visa in Canada, which visa allows me to take course English 6 month, this is visa more than enough for requirements in Canada. After my message I gave answer Embassy in Canada. They answer me that I have to have resident status or citizens in Canada for interview inside Canada. I anser for it that I have Visitor status and this status gives me opportunity live in Canada and learn 6 month. After that embassy answers me that now they can not approve my changing because is suspending to 23 June. After that I wrote question to embassy in Canada, if suspending will finish can I change place my interview, and later they answer me that when suspending will change you can write about changing place my interview. I confused now.
I planned course English in Canada early and Canada allows me to take this course in my status visitor.
Please, Brit helps me. Do I have right changing place interview or no? Have the Embassy of USA in Canada refuse to me change place my interview duo I cannot resident status?
Now I have to understand it. I read information about it and I have never seen requirement resident status for interview…
May 4, 2020 at 21:12
I don’t understand everything you are saying, but I will say that Introducing changes at this point is foolish. Only change if you really feel you have no other choice.
May 4, 2020 at 02:37
Hi brits my case no As121** from nepal which was Current for june now in Ceac site my case shows in At NVC what does it mean?
May 4, 2020 at 07:56
Read FAQ.
May 4, 2020 at 18:33
It means you need to wait. If your documents are processed, you could receive your 2NL later this month – BUT it depends on your documents.
May 4, 2020 at 02:16
Hi Simon
Thanks for all your efforts.
I completed my DS-260 on May, but unlocked it and updated it in Dec, 2019.. and sent my docs in around last week of Feb, 2020..
my case number is AS6XXX (was current on Jan, 2020)..
– I didn’t receive any confirmation letter from KCC for docs processing.
– I called KCC a couple of days ago, the operator told me my docs have been processed and waiting to be scheduled.
– CEAC still shows “At NVC”..
Q1/ is it a problem if I haven’t received a confirmation letter?
Q2/ is it okay to have “at NVC” and not “in transit”?
Q3/ According to your vid, I should be schedule in July? and can do nothing just wait for 2NL?
May 4, 2020 at 18:31
1. No
2. Yes – that is normal.
3. Maybe July – just a matter of waiting.
May 3, 2020 at 19:45
Hi Simon, firstly thank you for being very informative and helpful! My case number is 18xxx from europe, sent my ds 260 on the 25th of February but I still haven’t received an email asking me further documents (mariage certificate, police records…) and I am getting a little anxious. Should I contact somebody or be a little more patient? And on which platform are the documents being sent, is it where i submitted my ds 260 as well? I checked there but it only says that my ds 260 is completed. Thank you in advance and cheers
May 3, 2020 at 21:29
DO NOT wait to be asked to send your documents. SEND THEM NOW.
Follow the instructions VERY carefully as detailed below.

May 3, 2020 at 18:27
Dear BritSimon,
I have a question on the DS-260 and the DS-5540.
Credit report or credit score are listed in the USCIS form for adjustment of status cases (form i944) but there is no equivalent question on the DS-5540. There is, however, a question on the DS-260 asking for your SSN if you have one.
Does the DoS use the SSN to access your credit report? Is this possible?
It is not a compulsory question if one does not know the number (I’ve lost my card). Will not putting the SSN slow down the application process?
Thank you for any help you may be able to give.
May 3, 2020 at 21:22
Telling the truth is not optional.
They do not credit check the number on the DS260.
May 3, 2020 at 16:57
Mr.Brit _Are the numbers in a row? can 38 × × և 52 come out at the same time?
May 3, 2020 at 21:16
The case numbers do not control ordering of interviews once all numbers are current.
May 3, 2020 at 21:54
oh thank you Mr.Brit i mean i still have a chance? thank you very much for the answers to my questions, sorry for my questions))
May 3, 2020 at 16:12
Hello, my case number is EU 38 xxx… i didn’t send my ds 260 form yet so do i still have the time to sent it ? Also can you tell me if i have any chance
May 3, 2020 at 16:36
You have time if you hurry up.
May 3, 2020 at 15:32
Please Sir you skipped my question.
Hello Brit.
Thanks for the informative video.
Please, for those who are expecting to get 2nls for Late June and July interviews should everything work well, can we start asking sponsors to send I-134 forms now (as in the month of May) or wait till we get the 2NL.
Also, I noticed in one of your comments which is in order with what you have mentioned over and over that case numbers do no matter now and that higher case numbers could get interviews before lower cases even if they received OK from KCC at the same time.
How can one ensure now, even after having KCC send the OK message, that he/she gets scheduled.
I ask BC your response seems cases will be selected for interviews even after having OK from KCC
Thank you Brit.

Dear Brits, I am a bit confused and worried due to the fact that my interview location is in china. My case Was current in April(AF39***). As I have learned from your update Video I might get my 2nl in middle of May. Now my question is the following
Q1. China is banned to US does it have any effect to my case ? I really want your advise please before it’s too late and if so what can I do ?
May 3, 2020 at 14:43
1. I cannot predict what bans will be in place later this year. But if you do the medical and interview in July you could have until November/December to travel.
May 3, 2020 at 04:48
Hello mr Brit , it’s really nice being in your blog. Your effort to keep updating Dv2020 selectees is much appreciated. I received the congratulation message of document satisfaction from kcc and below it this message is attached:
***On October 4, 2019, the President issued Presidential Proclamation 9945 on the “Suspension of Entry of Immigrants Who Will Financially Burden the United States Healthcare System.” For the most up to date information on how PP 9945 might affect your case, please visit https://travel.state.gov/healthcare.***
1) what should I do for PP9945 not to affect my case?
2) my cn is 2020Af484**, when will my 2nl be sent since the next VB is current?.
Thanks continue to stay safe
May 3, 2020 at 14:35
1.Nothing – it is blocked.
2. Yes
May 3, 2020 at 01:53
Dear Brit
After interview I was advised by Embassy to wait till 60 days but when i checked CEAC data mybcase has shown Refused. do u think I am already denied?
Thanks
May 3, 2020 at 04:17
No – that is simply AP.
May 3, 2020 at 07:50
Thank Brit
Still wondering why they didnt put me in AP rather than Refused?
May 3, 2020 at 14:44
Because AP now shows as refused.
May 4, 2020 at 01:51
Thanks Brit for your reply. Stay Safe and Healthy.
May 2, 2020 at 22:32
Hi Brit
Lot of thanks for your availability.
Quick 2 questions:
1) What is the meaning for a case (file) to be at NVC?
2) As of April 2020, only 12000 (or close up) DV visas have been issued for DV-2020. What would be your best predictions by September 2020 ? (Of course I am asking you to be a “nice wizard :-)).
Keep well and serving.
F.M
May 3, 2020 at 00:46
1. Nothing. If you read the FAQ you would understand.
2. I have no way to guess – and its not really relevant.
May 2, 2020 at 21:36

May 2, 2020 at 22:22
2. There are timelines in the link I gave you (in the spreadsheet).
May 2, 2020 at 18:29
Hello Brit thank u for your amazing job . My case number is Eu27*** and I already got 2nl. Should I contact to KCC about my interview date ? Or will they inform me about my interview date by email ?
May 2, 2020 at 19:04
Hello Nini. When did you receive 2nl? I also EU27*** but have not received it
May 2, 2020 at 20:50
When did you receive it? Can you tell plz. And which country?
May 2, 2020 at 22:07
You clearly did not watch the video. The rescheduling is between you and the embassy, not KCC.
May 3, 2020 at 15:24
Hi!Can you please tell us when did you get your 2nl?And wich please please?I’m EU23k and still haven’t received it.
Good luck!
May 2, 2020 at 18:29
hello brit good afternoon I wrote to kkc asking if they had all my documents and the answer was positive I only need to fill out the ds5540 but I do not quite understand if it is filled and then it is taken to the interview ?
Thanks
May 2, 2020 at 22:05
Yes take it to the interview.
May 2, 2020 at 16:08
Hello sir Simon I wanted to find out weather the 60 days ban will apply on the people who already have their visas with them? Will they be allowed to travel into the USA before June 23 especially cases who’s visas may expire before June 23rd??
May 2, 2020 at 18:18
If those people are not affected by travel restrictions, their visas are valid for entry.
May 2, 2020 at 15:33
Hey Brit,
today I contacted the embassy as my visa would expire by the end of the May and they replied me with this following mail …
If your visa was valid on April 23, 2020 but has since expired please fill out this online form. https://bit.ly/3aHCOin Once routine visa operations resume, we will contact you about rescheduling your appointment and potentially reissuing your immigrant or diversity visa. We will not respond to immigrant or Diversity visa inquiries from this email address. For case specific inquiries, IV/DV applicants must direct their inquiries to GSS at the following email address: [email protected].
…
is it going on all the embassies or just Nepal? Also as it mentions “expired” should I wait and let the visa expire or fill it now? What do you think of it?
… I am from Nepal. Interviewed in December.

May 2, 2020 at 18:22
This is what I mentioned in my previous article – https://britsimonsays.com/extending-an-immigrant-visa-for-unavoidable-reasons/
May 4, 2020 at 14:11
Maybe this means that whose visa expire after 23rd of April are exceptions of the new EO and reissuing doesn’t mean a new visa.
May 2, 2020 at 15:24
Hi, Mr Simon. Thank you so much for your efforts.
My Case number is arround 38k Africa.
1. My case number was in the April VB but I did not get my interview in april bcz I got my documment confirmation letter in 14 february.
2. I was expecting to get my interview letter at the end of March to interview in May. But due to Covid 19 they stopped everything.
3. Now my country will open in 20 May and we don’t know if the embassy will open in the same date
4. Since they cancle the interviews of March and April
5/my Question is . For my situation Do you think I will get my interview letter at the end of May to be interviewed in july?
May 2, 2020 at 18:24
5. Yes.
May 2, 2020 at 15:09
Hope they’ll start sending NLs. I’m also waiting for mine. If they don’ send it within 2-3 weeks I’ll ask them about docs right away. Don’t wanna loose the chance.
May 2, 2020 at 14:54
I am trying to ask a question but the comment does not post..
May 2, 2020 at 18:26
It posted, multiple times. I answered.
May 2, 2020 at 14:31
Hey Brit,i listened your video and as u say travel ban will not have impact if its not extended, but what about places where are a lot of selectes? Is there a possibility that there will not be a lot of capacity of interviews considering even the interviews of march, april, may that are postponed?
May 2, 2020 at 18:15
Yes capacity was already a problem. My point about no impact was that the damage is already done by the virus etc.
May 2, 2020 at 14:17
Would you mind sharing which country are you from? Or what embassy was it please. 🙂
May 2, 2020 at 13:50
Dear Brits,
I have contacted the KCC tell them about my case why i was not received 2NL they told me my case was ready for interview but now they don’t know when the embassy will operate the work. now I have no idea what would be next?
May 2, 2020 at 15:10
Did they send you document confimation letter before you contacted them?
May 3, 2020 at 08:47
Hello ,
Yes I got back confirmation saying all is good. and then ask them what is next ? they told me they are interview was ready and now pandemic and embassy is closed. any ways now I got some of my Q from mr.brits Video second nl will be send in middle may. cross finger that everything will be okay.
May 2, 2020 at 18:13
You would have an idea if you watched the video above.
May 2, 2020 at 18:46
Hello brits,
I was current for April!
Document was ok and I got an email of satisfaction that all is well.
Well now my understanding is that second batch will get the 2nl for all case to July interview.
Q1. Do we all those group of people second batch expect this 2nl in middle of May or after June 23 ?
May 2, 2020 at 18:58
2NL in May for July interview like has been said in the video.
May 3, 2020 at 08:42
Dear Walt,
Thank you so much brother! I am so worried that is why and also many other youtuber tell a lie and that is why I ask again and over because I trust his post and his view. any ways we have chance in will of GOD!
May 2, 2020 at 22:14
Please watch the video.
May 3, 2020 at 08:39
Dear Brits, I thank you for your your kind work and not tired of us.God bless you.
May 2, 2020 at 12:29
Hello Brit!Hope you’re fine.
I just learned from some forums about Europe DV selected that they can register their interview dates, but only after 30th July. What do you think about this? Can a DV lottery interview date be registered by the selected or they’re entering on the wrong interview dates site?Because if so,there’s less hope for us 23k+.Because after 30 July I don’t think they can interview a kot of people.I would appreciate your opinion as always.
The best Brit!
May 2, 2020 at 18:09
No one should schedule their own date unless they are RE-scheduling. If people take the interview slots without KCC having sent the case to the embassy, those people will not be processed properly, and no one else will be able to use the slots – so that would be a complete mess for everyone!
May 2, 2020 at 20:27
Thanks a lot for you answer Brit.Unfortunalety people are registering dates (at least here in Albania) and the dates were available only after 30th July.Me personally haven’t received 2nl yet as I received after 15 March the confirmation email about my docs. But anyway even if I receive my 2nl this month,I don’t wanna take the risk to register by my head and by muslef a date.I will kust follow your advices on your video and I will call KCC if I won’t receive my 2nl.Thansk again and your video was so helpful to me and so many others to.
The best from me!
May 2, 2020 at 11:55
Hi brit, i dont understand your video sorry.
My case Eu. 27835 what your video means for me,
Thank you
May 2, 2020 at 18:07
To get some help, you need to be clear. Explain your situation, and ask a clear question.
May 2, 2020 at 10:57
Hello Brit,
I had my interview on 2 April.
According some information the embassy in my Country open some date of interview yesterday scheduling the date for the end of July. Unfortunately when i open my account there is not any date available. We really dont know what is going on. We need to open the web site of our account every hour in way to be the first to get a schedule date?
Regards
May 2, 2020 at 18:05
Keep checking – try to learn when new appointments are made available. Grab the ealiest one you can see – July is fine, so is August.
May 2, 2020 at 10:33
Hi Brit,
I want to expose my situation to have an opinion .
I am from Europe and I have received my documents confirmation email on 13 of March, the same day of the May’s VB release (an hour before). And I was current for May(27k). But as you know I have received my email too late to have an interview for May so when I called kcc some days later, the kcc’s operator said me that she saw my interview scheduled for June.
So now, what should I expect? To receive my 2NL for the end of May too? Or what?
I am from Italy with low selectees (only 220) and from 2NL on xarthsius’s website I saw that the Naple’s embassy only have to do 9 interviews (March (1), April (8) and in the first 2NL sent for May there is no one).
So, what could happen?
I saw your video but I don’t understand in my case what I should expect because I am current in the May VB but because of the late time when I received my confirmation documents email I have jump in the next month of interview (June).
Thanks so much
May 2, 2020 at 18:04
You will probably get a July interview. The ban probably caused them to NOT schedule any interviews for June.
May 2, 2020 at 09:49
Hello Brit.
Thanks for the informative video.
Please, for those who are expecting to get 2nls for Late June and July interviews should everything work well, can we start asking sponsors to send I-345 forms now (as in the month of May) or wait till we get the 2NL.

DV2020, If you can meet the financial qualifications on your own that will be great. I hope you know what it means to meet the qualifications.
If not the i-345 form from a sponsor is your way out.
Personally, I will fill using the I-345 to increase my chances of getting a visa and avoiding AP at all cost.

If you attend your interview and are not properly prepared, you could lose your opportunity. Get an I-134 to give yourself the best chance possible.
May 3, 2020 at 06:32
Thank brits.
i will get the I-134 as soon as they send me the 2NL .
Thank you very much !

NUMBER QUESTIONS.
1. Wait for the 2NL
2. It’s all about the documents. If they have processed the documents then you just wait.
May 3, 2020 at 06:39
Hello Brit, I think You skipped my question.
Regards
May 3, 2020 at 14:41
You can’t do anything except wait.
May 2, 2020 at 09:39
Very useful, helpful and instructive video, answers most of the questions we´ve been having during these last days…thanks so much Britsimon for working on it during your time off even on May 1st, stay healthy 🙂

Dear Brit Thank you so much for your meaningful information!
I’m a DV 2020 winner from Germany with case-no: 2020EU00046XXX
I have submitted my DS-260 in Septemeber 2019 and have sent my documents in early March 2020, I have received the automatic reply from KCC that they have received and are processing my documents, but no info about satisfaction or anything further.
What would suggest me to do?
1. be patient and wait
2. ask KCC if my documents are satisfactory
3. send my documents again
Thank you so much in advance!
May 2, 2020 at 17:48
1 for now, 2 in about 2 to 3 weeks.
May 2, 2020 at 09:19
Hi Brit, my CN is AS29xxx and I sent my docs twice, first in October and then following your advice I sent them again to KCC’s regular mail in February. Except for the auto reply, I still haven’t recieved the congratulations email, so after becoming current I tried contacting KCC twice, in the beginning and the end of last week. They say like others pointed out that they can’t see them because it’s another department bla bla, even though I’m current. How do you suggest I go about it? Time is getting tight and they are being useless with their answers… Should I send the docs a third time? Thanks!
May 2, 2020 at 17:48
In the video I recommend people such as you wait until later in May and then ask again – or ask at the beginning of June if you do not get a 2NL. Ultimately you decide what is best for you.
May 2, 2020 at 18:28
I understand but I’m just worried that now they can’t see your docs even if you’re current so there is no way to know where they stand… It’s so stupid, honestly
May 2, 2020 at 22:05
That is true – it’s not ideal, BUT we will know a clear position at the end of May, so that means there will be a few weeks for cases to take action.
May 2, 2020 at 09:17
Brit, according to you video I decided not to write KKC for 2 or 3 weeks from now. I don’t even have document confirmation letter. Do you think I should act like that?
May 2, 2020 at 17:46
It’s your choice.
May 2, 2020 at 08:55
Hi brits,
Thank You very much for your effort.
my Case is AS23*** , and i got my documents received email at 3/25 from KCC and now i am current for June.
1- Should i expect to recive 2NL by the end of may?
2 – if i didnt got should i contact then the KCC for that by first of June?
May 2, 2020 at 10:21
Then = the
May 2, 2020 at 17:45
1. If by documents received you mean ready for scheduling, yes.
2. Yes of course.
May 3, 2020 at 06:28
Yes i mean that .
Thank you brits : )
May 2, 2020 at 18:41
Hello mate,
I am glad you received “documents received” email from KCC, i just want to understand was the email u received from kcc is the auto reply or its the email which says you are ready for scheduling? The reason i am asking is that my case is AS23*** and i sent my documents since November and i never heard back from KCC.
Hope the best for you and for everyone.
May 3, 2020 at 06:27
Ahmad ,
It is an email from KCC saying that i submitted all the required documents and ready for scheduling not an auto replay .
I hope you get this email soon
May 2, 2020 at 07:24
Thanks britsimon, so that means we must conduct the embassy for scheduling of our enterview since it was postponed due to the pandemics, my question is will the embassies do by themselves or we need to contact them individually?
May 2, 2020 at 17:42
As I explained in the video – it varies by embassy so you need to use some common sense.
May 2, 2020 at 06:22
Hi Mr Simmon
Please shed some light on my situation:
I was scheduled to get interviewed for march 31st and that got cancelled for known reasons. My interview can be held in the foreign country only as the embassy in my country does not process immigrant cases. There are such countries u know. Meanwhile since couple of days ago there are covid-19 cases found in my country (Tajikistan) and i think borders will be closed for at least one month and other countries won’t allow us to come i think.do u think the embassy will take into account that my country is locked (they have info for each country i suppose) for now or they will make scheduling on the spot taking into account just the case numbers?
May 2, 2020 at 17:37
I don’t know exactly what will happen – but if the embassies are accepting appointments you will probably be scheduled then you will have to get there or rearrange the interview with the embassy.
May 2, 2020 at 05:44
Hi Brit,
Thank you for the video and update. I am included in the first group of people that you have mentioned – being current in May interviews and received 2NL of the first batch in March. However, KCC was the one to cancel my scheduled interview, not the embassy – so does it mean the embassy still got my case on hand and I don’t need to contact KCC anymore? Thanks.
May 2, 2020 at 17:27
The embassy has your case – so you reschedule through them, not KCC.
May 2, 2020 at 04:18
Hello Brit
Checking out the Ceac as of May 1st, it seems that most cases have still to be scheduled for interviews. Example for region AF, very few cases after AF20,000 have been interviewed and subsequently almost no visas issued.
There are just 5 months left (until September 30) that sadly include the “distraction of Visa ban.” Hopefully things get better , especially in the head of Stephen Miller, the true architect of both the travel and the Visa bans.
May 2, 2020 at 17:23
Yes tehre are many cases left to be interviewed. Too many in fact – some will miss out.
May 2, 2020 at 03:43
Thanks for the update Simon, much appreciated. Just to clarify a thing..
1) I received the “documents received email”. This means the ds-260 is processed as well even though it doesn’t say this directly?
2) I can expect the 2NL starting from half way of May?
May 2, 2020 at 04:51
Will visa bulletin will published in next month #Nepal
May 2, 2020 at 07:21
My case is current in May and I also received the “documents received email” at 3/19. “Our records indicate that you have submitted all required documentation to the Kentucky Consular Center and are ready to be scheduled for an interview when your case number becomes current. Interviews are scheduled numerically” But I haven’t gotten the 2NL yet.
1. Does this email mean my documents have been processed?
2. The reason I didn’t receive 2NL is it due to the ban?
May 2, 2020 at 17:41
1. Yes
2. Yes
May 2, 2020 at 20:47
Two people jumped on top of my question by replying with different questions lol.. just making sure this answer relates to my question? Thanks.
May 2, 2020 at 22:18
No – my replies to you Walt were these:
1. Not really.
2. That depends on whether your documents are processed or not.
May 2, 2020 at 17:22

May 2, 2020 at 22:52
Thank you, I received the congratulations email that my documents have been processed and that I’m ready to be scheduled for an interview once I’m current (which happened last VB) so I assume out of this they have everything processed for my case and can expect the 2NL this month? Just want to make sure there’s nothing on my side I can do at this point until I receive the 2NL? Thanks!
May 3, 2020 at 00:46
Nothing else to do.
May 2, 2020 at 02:00
Hello Simon,
I received my 2NL in March for my interview scheduled in mid May at the Embassy in Sydney and was subsequently cancelled a day later due to the virus, this cancellation was an email from KCCDV not the Embassy.
My questions are:
1) My status on CEAC still shows “In Transit” do you think this would this have any affect on the Embassy in rescheduling an interview? from my understanding this means they have been sent my documents from KCC, but haven’t processed them, is this correct?
2) As the interview was cancelled by KCC not the Embassy, does my case still remain with KCC or the Embassy?
I have contacted the Embassy to check what their rescheduling process is with no response, assuming they are not working at this time. I just want to make sure my case doesn’t fall between the cracks and I miss out on getting another interview time- if KCC have scheduled the interview and if the Embassy has not processed my documents, I’m concerned I may not be contacted because of this.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Shanna
May 2, 2020 at 15:44
1. No, it doesn’t have any impact. It simply means they did not update CEAC.
2. With the embassy.
Advice – be patient.
May 3, 2020 at 11:20
Hi,
How do you check your status on CEAC page if you do not have a visa case number?
I have been trying to do that but still no result. Even I had an interview appointment that was cancelled.
Thank you
May 2, 2020 at 01:35
Thank you so much, Brit, for this video and your explanation. It’s very important for us☀️☀️☀️
May 2, 2020 at 01:34
Hi simon,
Is there any reason for not updating CEAC data on may?
Thank you

Learn some patience. It’s there now.
