2NLs are going out for April interviews in all regions. Not all embassies, of course, but all regions. These are not the “March 2NLs” – they are effectively February ones going late. We’ll have to wait and see how many embassies they go to, and these February 2NLs could continue for a few days.
We will see some March 2NLs after the VB (for May interviews). Algeria also has some March interviews scheduled.
KCC is doing well!
March 7, 2021 at 22:13
Hi Brit,
thank you for your information and help with the DV Lottery.
I need help on clarifying how I will send the police certificates since I have to obtain it from 2 countries.
Currently I live in Brussels. I checked the reciprocity page which advises to obtain the police certificate from the commune. They send it digitally via e-mail. Do I simply forward what the commune sent to KCC?
I will also have to provide a police certificate from Albania. In this case, the reciprocity page says that the certificate must be sent directly to the USA Embassy of Tirana. I can only forward the application proof to KCC. Is this correct since my interview will be held at the US Embassy of Brussels? Do I still need to send the Albanian police certificate at the USA embassy of Tirana?
Thank you and kind regards,
Natasha
March 8, 2021 at 05:04
1. Print it out and send it with your other documents.
2. See if you can get it sent to Brussels.
March 7, 2021 at 17:45
Hello sir I need your help please.
Am a dv2021 selected and I’ve already send my ds260. My wife is a dv2020 visa holder, she’ll travel on Tuesday. I’ve fill her ds260 but don’t already sent it, theses are my preoccupation.
As my wife will soon be a LPR, do I need to send her ds260?
If yes will I have to send her documents when Kcc will ask me?
Finally, her presence in my case can caused a delay or not?
Thanks, am from Cameroon: CN AF43XXX
March 7, 2021 at 21:24
Is Dakar US embassy scheduling dv winners ?
March 8, 2021 at 04:50
You don’t submit a DS260 for her. Your own DS260 should list her as your spouse. THat is no problem
March 7, 2021 at 17:37
good afternoon Sir ,
suppose KCC sent the email confirmation for documents and for a certain reason we deleted by mistake this email without knowing the content of this email , after a certain time we send an email asking about the satisfaction of the documents and for readiness for scheduling for an interview.
1- will KCC answer be as ( my case is ready for schedueling)?
thank Sir
March 8, 2021 at 04:46
1. They will answer.
March 7, 2021 at 11:03
Hi Brit, I know this will be a tough one for you to advise but please try your best.
So, i sent an email to the south African immigrant visa consolate asking them clearly whether i will be interviewed if scheduled by the kcc and this was their reply:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Thank you for your email. We are still currently interviewing limited visas and not interviewing DV visas, please keep checking our website for more information.
Sincerely,
Immigrant Visa Unit
United States Consulate General, South Africa
So considering the following extract from the ds260 submission confirmation :
If you would like to change your interview location, you must contact the Kentucky Consular Center by sending an e-mail to([email protected]) before your interview is scheduled. Your e-mail must include your name and case number, and must clearlyindicate where you would like to be interviewed. Please note that once you have an appointment, you must contact the consularsection where you have been scheduled in order to request a change. It may not be possible to change the location of yourinterview after you have been scheduled.
So my questions:
1.with the tone of the embassy stating they are interviewing immigrant visas but not dv’s, do u think this could be temporary or sort of permanent as i want to wait for some few weeks and see.
2. Is it possible that kcc shedules u at a consulate knowing very well the consolate is not interviewing dv cases?
3.If not will kcc notify u that they are unable to schedule u due to ones embassy unwilling or they will just keep u in limbo hence wasting your time.
4. Given that the only way kcc will change ones interview location is by asking them to first unlock the ds260 to do so:
4.1 Will unlocking the ds260 to only change the interview location not affect once current statutus say after effecting the change if one is currently ready for scheduling?
4.2 which of unlocking the ds260 to change location and requesting the embassy to transfer your case after been scheduled be more time consuming.?
5. Does ones sponsor need to email only the Affidevits of support form i-134 to u or include their supporting documents like copy of green card, paycheck, etc
6. Is it the right time to request my sponsor to complete the i-134 now that i am ready for scheduling.
Sorry for the long email.
Thank u Mr Brit
March 7, 2021 at 14:34
1. I don’t know.
2. Not really.
3. We have to wait and see what they do.
4. Unlocking doesn’t cause delays. You cannot change your embassy by unlocking. You have to ask KCC before they schedule OR negotiate with the embassies if you are already scheduled.
5. Read the FAQ
6. Wait until you have a 2NL
March 8, 2021 at 20:08
I got the same reply from the South African consulate. No clear answers from them if they are planning to do dv interviews at all or perhaps in a couple of weeks. They just said they have limited capacity. So no clear indication of how they plan to interview dv. We will just keep praying.
March 7, 2021 at 10:52
Are there any law suites that address the Schengen consulates not issuing DV visas because of the travel ban?
March 7, 2021 at 14:30
This might be addressed in the Anunciato and Jacob cases.
March 7, 2021 at 06:44
Hello Brit,
Affidavit of support is a part of the process as you said to me once. Which means that I have to find someone to put a signature on the I-134 form and sponsor me.
What if couldn’t find one or nobody there approved this. Am I gonna be dismissed then?
March 7, 2021 at 14:21
That will be up to the CO.
March 7, 2021 at 04:17
Hello Brit,
I have found a forum about dv in my country, and someone said that he gets 2NL on cn 9***, and others with like 2k, 5k. My cn is 18** and I didnt get it, I am ready for scheduling since 20.8.2020.
Should I do something about that?
March 7, 2021 at 04:36
No
March 7, 2021 at 13:28
Also, I will age out in May 11. Im just scared with that cn to be scheduled after that date. Is there any chance to contact embassy and explain situation so they can schedule us?
March 7, 2021 at 14:41
It’s not up to the embassy. Just focus on making sure KCC are satisfied with your documents.
March 7, 2021 at 14:57
We have got an email 20.08.2020 that everything is ok and that we are ready for scheduling. Am I need to send an email to them to confirm that everything is fine or that mail means that?
March 7, 2021 at 15:38
Just wait then.
March 6, 2021 at 16:39
Brit, given all what is happening now.. do you think a case number AF50K has a chance to be scheduled for interview by next September ?
March 6, 2021 at 20:43
No predictions.
March 6, 2021 at 15:27
Hello Britsimon, is it true that 2NLs are being sent to consulates inorder of alphabets? Noticed in AF region consulates in cities starting with A, B C etc received the 2nls early than other cities, regardless of case number.
March 7, 2021 at 04:37
That is idiotic.
March 6, 2021 at 15:22
Hi Mr Simmon, thank you for every thing.
I have a very low CN , AF1*** I didn’t receive the 2nl. The Embassy of my country works and some people from my country with CN higher than me in the rank received their 2nl. I just reopened the ds260 one month ago to add a newborn baby and sent all documents again. I received the ready for interview mail 3 days later. Is it the cause of 2nl delay or should I wait?
Thank you again Mr Simmon.
March 6, 2021 at 14:24
Simon, what happens when the Visa Bulletin is current. Please excuse so many questions but I don’t know much about it. Greetings from Cuba
March 6, 2021 at 14:39
Antonio – there is a FAQ linked above. It will answer many of your questions.
March 6, 2021 at 14:17
Simon do you think there is current for South America
March 6, 2021 at 16:01
We can only wait and see.
March 6, 2021 at 08:46
Hi Brit
Hope all fine with you!
Submitting documents with translation where translation not required, because documents weather in English or on the same language where the interview is taking place, so do you think that can affect acceptance of Documents by KCC?!
Thank you in advance.
March 6, 2021 at 15:27
No.
March 6, 2021 at 08:38
Brit is it ok if my transcripts for uni is photocopied during interview i am after my original but the uni is no longer in fiji?
Just wondering if photocopy is good enough but the rest of my primary and secondary education transcripts i have the original ones hea.
March 6, 2021 at 09:50
Hey, what range does your case number fall in?
March 6, 2021 at 16:36
Below 200
March 6, 2021 at 14:53
That’s ok.
March 6, 2021 at 16:32
Thanks brit
March 6, 2021 at 07:33
Hi Bri
I want to understand this , I am a DV 2021 winner from Africa region. I previously understood that , no winner should send documents to kcc but to the nearer ambasy you are assigned for interview . But people are sending documents to kcc what happening? For me I only submitted my DS260 form Should submit documents too?
March 6, 2021 at 13:57
When KCC sends you an email requesting documents, you should send them then. Otherwise they won’t process your case and you won’t receive ready for scheduling interview email. Hope this helps.
March 6, 2021 at 14:47
I have told people with lower numbers to send their documents whether they have been asked or not.
March 6, 2021 at 15:15
Pat, im also a 2021 winner..lets get intouch. This is my email [email protected]
March 6, 2021 at 07:05
Thank you mr.simon my question is about document I submitted I forgot to puncuate the case no.and names eg af000_ aisha_passport

March 6, 2021 at 14:46

March 6, 2021 at 05:42
Brit just a question any idea if kcc sends out 2nls only during work days or including weekends as well?
March 6, 2021 at 05:50
Workdays
March 6, 2021 at 06:17
Thanks bro
March 6, 2021 at 05:29
Hello Simon,
When I have checked my status in CEAC.gov, it say AT NVC. What does that mean?
Thank you for your hard work helping so many people.
March 6, 2021 at 05:50
It’s in the FAQ.
March 6, 2021 at 05:05
Hi Simon,
again big Thank you for your time.
I am dv2021 winer, case number EU 2K, 2NL was long time ago.
Now when the ban is gone, we only wait the embassy to open.
The question is, do you think it may be very long for some countries…
I see interview for Ukraine has been scheduled.
March 6, 2021 at 05:15
I don’t know how things will progress…
March 6, 2021 at 02:46
hi Brit, thank you for your amazing support!
Today I got 2NL and my interview will be early April. But I am currently in Us and I go back to my country next week. But I have to stay at hotel and my parents house for 14days quarantine. My Police certificate will expire March 24th so I will try to get new one but it takes at least 2weeks. I don’t think I can bring new one at the interview…
Is that possible to go to interview with old one and send new one to embassy after the interview?
March 6, 2021 at 05:04
Yes
March 5, 2021 at 23:09
Do you think some regions could become current soon? For example SA that I’m 2021SA40XX
March 6, 2021 at 05:02
No.
March 5, 2021 at 22:49
Hi sir I they talking about giving us more time because the intake for each month is very low,if they don’t extend the time we with high Case number will have no time.
My question is with they give us time?
Thanks God bless!!
March 6, 2021 at 05:01
I don’t know.
March 5, 2021 at 22:01
What about those of us DV2021 winners living in China but from other countries. We haven’t heard anything about the US Guangzhou consulate. The only consulate that processes IV’s.My CN12k is current. Please help us let our voices be heard. In China, everything is back to normal. School are opened especially kindergartens. Business are going on as usual and life is back to normal. In China there’s no high risk area. All provinces and cities are in very low risk area. But still China in added to the Schengen ban which is PP10143. Please help us Mr.Brit
March 6, 2021 at 04:59
You have to be patient.
March 5, 2021 at 21:58
Dear Brit
Do you have any information if 2nL’s was sent according to the number in each country which was actually current? For example if I’m CN 9xxx in Europe( i’m current in visa bulletin of April) and the embassy in my country is opened for all immigrant visa. Should I have a chance to be scheduled soon if my number in this country is very low(in my country I may be in the first 100 ranking number)
Thank you in advance
March 6, 2021 at 04:58
It has nothing to do with countries.
March 5, 2021 at 21:26
Hi Brit, I’m originally from Nepal but currently residing in Australia. Is there chances that I would receive the 2NL this month? As my case number is below 3500.
March 6, 2021 at 04:54
It depends whether your documents are processed or not.
March 5, 2021 at 21:08
Yay! This is so exciting!! Anyone from Australia get theirs? 🙂
March 6, 2021 at 04:52
I haven’t heard any Sydney cases yet.
March 6, 2021 at 06:41
I’m from Australia and I haven’t got any Mail yet
March 5, 2021 at 21:06
Hi simon,
My case number is already current and was released on February- CN- 2021OC9XX
According to this should I expect my 2NL already?
If not when do I expect it? In a few days or months
Thanks so much for your time and patience ?
March 6, 2021 at 04:52
You will only get the 2NL if your DS260 AND documents are ready, and then your embassy is open.
March 5, 2021 at 20:35
Greetings Sir and thanks for all your help. Sir please explain to me the difference between cases and people as stated below. Thanks
There are 13058 cases before and 19694 after you in the AF region. That yields approximately 21389 people before and 32259 after you.
March 6, 2021 at 03:52
One case includes the main selectee and any derivatives. Hence – the people number is an estimation of how many people there are on the cases given.
March 6, 2021 at 14:40
Hello brit my case number is 19xxx but i haven’t received any email yet about documents. Ds260 was completed at july. Should i send the documents without receiving the email or wait until the end of march.
Thanks
March 7, 2021 at 04:39
Send them
March 5, 2021 at 20:30
Hi Simon.
Do you know if they have sent 2nl to the country “Argentina – embassy of Buenos Aires”?
March 6, 2021 at 03:50
I don’t know.
March 5, 2021 at 19:51
If it is 3000 cases they schedule for interviews per month then hope for us with higher case numbers
March 5, 2021 at 19:53
April to September is 6 months. 6 x 3000 = 18,000 cases. That is about 36,000 visas.
We need more velocity, or more time.
March 5, 2021 at 20:03
Sorry what makes it 36,000 visas?
I am just currious cos my number little bit high
March 5, 2021 at 21:17
Derivatives are included. Don’t forget about them. That’s why it’s about 36,000 visas.
March 5, 2021 at 19:33
Great news! Can you please share when you become current.
March 5, 2021 at 19:32
Hello Simon! What’s your comment anout this??
From US visa news
DV2021 AF Region Update: CN4100 is the max case number in “Transit” status. There are around 85 people who got their 2NL(interview mail) among 4100 AF cases, it was 19 tomorrow.
Everyday numbers are improving, new case numbers are getting their 2NL(interview mail).
March 5, 2021 at 19:45
Comment about what?
March 5, 2021 at 19:00
Could you as far as possible list the embassies that are resuming the interviews? will Bogota be included? We are from Venezuela, my case is not updated but I already received the email ready to schedule when it is updated
March 5, 2021 at 19:02
No I am not going to try and do that. It’s a fast moving situation.
March 5, 2021 at 18:58
Dear Brit,
I had sent my documents to KCC in October but hadn’t received a confirmation letter other than the automatic reply saying that they are processing my documents and I need to wait 3-6 weeks. I sent them another email a few days ago to ask whether my documents were approved or if I needed to send further documents. They replied as following:
(Your DS-260 has been processed. You should have received, or will soon receive, an email from the Kentucky Consular Center giving you instructions to complete in order for your case to continue processing. After sending documents to [email protected], you will receive an automatic reply to your email. If there are no attachments, the auto reply explains there are no documents attached to the email. If there are attachments, the auto reply explains we received your email and are currently processing your documents. Please allow time for processing of your documents.)
I checked all the documents once again. I found nothing wrong except that the files were in PDF format but the file names didn’t have .pdf in the end. I added .pdf and sent them again. I received the same automatic reply which I had received after first sending my documents.
Can I have your advice on this, please?
Thanks
March 5, 2021 at 19:09
Wait a little while – see if their current increased activity sorts things out.
March 6, 2021 at 08:23
Hi Simon, Sazgar,
Hope you’re well.
Do we need to actually type the file extension e.g. ‘.pdf’ into the file name? Until now I thought the fact it was a pdf meant that the extension name is added automatically. The document will appear as a .pdf in the folder it is held in, having not typed it into the name. Second guessing myself after Sazgar’s message.
Also should the body of the email to kccdv documents have one’s name, case no. and DOB as per standard emails to kcc, or left blank?
Thanks in advance.
March 6, 2021 at 14:52
Normally Sean you are correct, you should NOT have to type the pdf extension.
March 5, 2021 at 18:52
Hi Simon!
I sent my documents back on 18 January (so just over 6 weeks ago), and although I got the automated confirmation, I have not yet received my ‘Ready for Scheduling’ email. I emailed KCC asking for a status update (as a forward of my doc submission email so they should see when I submitted), and it was like they didn’t read the email – they just replied saying they would forward my documents to the correct department. I replied stating that I wasn’t trying to resubmit my documents, I was just inquiring re: their status.
1) Should I be concerned that I have confused them here since they didn’t seem to understand what I was asking?
2) Is it strange that I have not yet gotten my ‘Ready for Scheduling email?
3) Should I just wait from here, or do you have advice re: next steps?
My number is not yet current but is very close.
Thank you so much for you help and continued support!
March 5, 2021 at 19:04
Be a little more patient. They are working now – so let’s see how things change.
March 5, 2021 at 18:43
Hello Simon,
The US Embassy in Sudan says at its page https://sd.usembassy.gov/visas:
“The United States Embassy in Khartoum, Sudan remains unable to resume most routine immigrant and nonimmigrant visa services, including for routine B1/B2 applications. We will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date. The MRV fee is valid and may be used to schedule an interview appointment in the country where it was purchased within one year of the date of payment.
…
Immigrant visas: We are currently processing IR1, CR1, and IR2 visas, in addition to renewing expired immigrant visas.”
This remained the same even after PP10014 was revoked. What do you think, is it true or they just didn’t update their website?
March 5, 2021 at 18:59
I don’t know.
March 5, 2021 at 17:27
They started to send them for Europe too 🙂 got mine today!
March 5, 2021 at 19:15
Great! When you got current?
March 6, 2021 at 05:08
Country?
March 5, 2021 at 17:08
We got the 2NL today for April interview. This is good news because country is Switzerland and is affected by the Schengen ban.
March 5, 2021 at 18:49
That is good news!!
March 6, 2021 at 08:08
Was your interview scheduled because of NIE?
March 6, 2021 at 14:49
There is no blanket NIE. Embassies SHOULD be scheduling interviews inside the Schengen zone. Switzerland is doing the right thing.
March 5, 2021 at 17:02
Ok good news Oceania region started receiving there 2nls brit my cousin just forward me his confirmation of 2nls for fiji..
Thanks kcc and brit
March 5, 2021 at 18:49
Great!
March 6, 2021 at 22:09
Hey there am from Fiji too. I will really appreciate if you could tell what is the case number is like whether its in 100s or 200s etc as we are awaiting ours too….it will be a great help to atleast know where we are at the moment…
March 5, 2021 at 16:43
Hello Simon,
What’s your advice for people living in Schengen area?
Do you think we should contact KCC and change our embassy from our home country to a country in non-Schengen region fast, so we would be, let’s say “in line” in that embassy or maybe we should just wait for revoking proclamation or results of the Anunciato case?
I’m 2021EU11*** so I will be current in April.
March 5, 2021 at 18:45
Personally I would wait a few weeks.
March 5, 2021 at 16:33
All regions? Any news on SA?
March 5, 2021 at 18:45
All regions.
March 5, 2021 at 15:55
Hi Brit
Hope all fine with you!
How many 2NL KCC send per month in normal situation?!
Thank you in advance.
March 5, 2021 at 18:43
In normal situations, about 3000.
March 5, 2021 at 15:54
What about those who were current since last year ?
March 5, 2021 at 18:42
Those are being scheduled.
March 5, 2021 at 15:48
The way to go!!!gradually we will get there.Tnx Simon
March 5, 2021 at 15:44
Still nothing from embassies in schengen area though. Gotta wait for annunciato case to move forward, and fast.
March 5, 2021 at 15:36
Hi Simon,
do you happen to know if any 2NL has been sent out for Schengen countries?
Thank you and GO KCC!
March 5, 2021 at 18:40
Haven’t seen any yet.
March 5, 2021 at 21:11
Simon, you shared one from Romania earlier today. Interview is in April.
March 5, 2021 at 21:15
Edit: my bad. I always assume that Romania is part of Schengen!
March 6, 2021 at 04:53
Yes – I have since heard a Swiss case got scheduled.
March 5, 2021 at 15:34
It’s fantastic news. But I don’t understand included oll cases from October to February? Or just February cases, because my case realized november 2020. ( i dv 2021 viner). From Europe region?
March 5, 2021 at 15:46
It always includes all months up to date. So October to February.
March 5, 2021 at 15:33
KCC is doing very well likewise you Brit Simon.
Embassies all over should cooperate and help us !
Thank you Brit for the unflinching support and updates!
March 5, 2021 at 15:30

March 5, 2021 at 16:51
Thank you for you Reply faithDv2021
March 5, 2021 at 18:40
1. Including Asia.
2. They are starting with cases current UP to February – i.e. October to February.
March 5, 2021 at 15:27
Hi brit, i tried so hard to find a sponsor in the usa, unfortunatelly no chance. Is 50k usd in the my account considered as an option. Or plz advise me if there is any other solution
March 5, 2021 at 18:39
The savings could be enough, yes.
