July 15, 2021 at 14:14
Do you think I must ask KCC to unlock my DS260 to write down all the promotions history?
July 16, 2021 at 03:24
Last position at each company is fine.

Dear Mr.
Do I have to feel all my background in education? Or only the latest? Should I had the one that I am doing at the moment. To clarify, I have added my law degree, but I am studying education at the moment. Should I add the information? And do I have to put my high school information? Or it is enough with the university degree information?
Thank you very much!
July 16, 2021 at 03:23
Add education from around age 12 and up
July 19, 2021 at 10:31
Thank you very much!

Dear Sir,
What number should I enter into the “Number of educational institutions attended” field? I have finished High School by attending a different Primary school, different Junior secondary schools, and different senior secondary schools? I have a certificate for each level. I am currently working on my dissertation at university. The expected graduation date is December 15, 2021.
And where in the DS260 form can I indicate my current university?
July 16, 2021 at 03:21
You can count the schools you attended.
July 15, 2021 at 11:33

July 15, 2021 at 11:02

July 16, 2021 at 03:20

July 15, 2021 at 11:01

Dear Brit,
Is there any hope? received today.
Thank you in advance
Dear Gomez Diversity Class Members,
You are receiving this email from counsel in Gomez v. Biden because you responded to a call for plaintiffs from BritSimonSays.com or contacted us directly as a DV-2020 selectee and/or an individual acting on their behalf. If you are a FY2020 Diversity Visa Selectee who did not receive a diversity visa on or before April 23, 2020, you are a class member in the certified Gomez class.
We are writing to provide an important update on the Gomez case and the potential issuance of 9,095 DV-2020 visas we have asked the judge to order. Judge Mehta has set a hearing for Monday, July 19, 2021, at 1:00pm Eastern Standard Time, to hear oral arguments on whether to grant summary judgment in our case. At Monday’s hearing, Gomez counsel will argue that Judge Mehta should rule in our favor and order the government to expeditiously and fairly process the 9,095 DV-2020 visas that he reserved in September 2020. Our briefing is available here. Counsel from other related cases involving DV-2020 and DV-2021 winners will also present argument on behalf of their plaintiffs.
If you would like to listen to Monday’s hearing, you may call the court’s public access line at (877) 848-7030, access code 321-8747. This public access line will be muted.
We will keep you updated when there is any additional information from the court to share.

Hello Mr simon
As per the data published, there are 6005 selectees from Egyptl this year (2022). Is AF 111** case number high?
What’s the probability of getting interviewed?
Thank you!
July 16, 2021 at 03:19
Not high – but everything depends on how the embassies operate.
July 15, 2021 at 09:41
Dear Brit,
My CN 2022AS22XXX, which month you advise me to send my documents if they wouldn’t ask for it ?! Even if not accurate date but I need to know the nearest chance to send my docs before too late…
I really need to know that, because my Police cert in my country is only valid for 3 months
And I need to translate and certify it from foreign affairs minister.. this take time
Thank you in advance ,
July 16, 2021 at 03:19
The police cert will be valid for 24 months.
You can submit documents anytime, but your case number is high so you have a year to wait.
July 15, 2021 at 08:35
Hello Simon,
Given the information included in the August VB about number of selectees, will this give us a better understanding of the case number?
my case number is 2022EU7*** (7K) and number of selectees in Armenia is 2099
– Do I stand a chance to interview this year ?
– DS290 submitted on 5/8/2021 and documents sent in June ( however I requested to reopen my DS 260 to add one trip I missed – it was an official trip with the US government ( TDY ) ) – will this slow me down?
– US Embassy Yerevan may be processing some Iranian cases because they don’t have an Embassy, do you think if the priority with be for nationals ( Armenian citizens )?
thanks!
July 16, 2021 at 03:18
Your number is OK – but wait a couple of days for a video explanation.
July 15, 2021 at 08:00
Hello sir . DV 2022 statistics has been published. there are 119,021 selected worldwide. I would like to know the largest case number in Africa and the percentage of holes?
July 16, 2021 at 03:14
Of course you would.
July 15, 2021 at 07:35
Hi brit
I am 2022as7000 nepal
Is my case number high?
Thank you
July 16, 2021 at 03:14
Probably medium.
July 15, 2021 at 07:28
Hello Simon,
I’m willing to apply for DV 2023 this October. I’m currently residing in Philippines as a foreign student soon-to-be-graduated, and leaving for my home country in September.
Is it okay if I obtain my Philippine Police Clearance now? Even though it will not cover my final 2 months of stay in the Philippines? I have no intention to return to Philippines again in near future.
Or should I obtain it after I return to my home country, in order to cover my whole stay in the Philippines? (which is much harder and leangthy process)
Thank you in advance!
July 16, 2021 at 03:14
It is ridiculous to get paperwork now when you are not even entered yet, let alone selected.
July 15, 2021 at 07:01
Do I need to bring my previous cancelled passports to the interview? Those are the cancelled passports which had the expired B1/B2 tourist and F1 student visas of many years ago on them.
July 16, 2021 at 03:12
No.
July 15, 2021 at 04:37
Hello simon
As per the data published, there are 3802 selectees from Nepal this year (2022). Is AS11,630 case number high?
What’s the probability of getting interviewed?
Thank you!
July 15, 2021 at 04:43
Yes it is high. Too soon to predict outcomes.
July 15, 2021 at 12:45
But you told, that numbers wouldn’t be considered high if the number of selectees is at around 4000.
July 15, 2021 at 14:33
Hlo raj,in nepal dv selectee selected from case no. 1 to around 13k or 14k,soo ur 11000 case no. Is high,if 2022 will be normal year,u will get ur interview july august or September may be,only thing tomake ur chances high,u have to be updated, and send ur docs when kcc start for further document mail requests, send ur docs with out asked by kcc and send it again when kcc mail u for ur docs
July 16, 2021 at 03:22
You asked if the number is high. It is one of the highest numbers in Nepal – putting you at the top end of the 3802.
July 15, 2021 at 01:35
Wow ! Thinking with your case number you were DQ last year ?
Goodluck !
July 15, 2021 at 00:16
Hi brit,
I saw that the selectee no# are out….i am 2022oc15xx so I did like this calculation where the highest selectee no# I saw so far the highest cn for oc is 24xx so i am assuming it would be 2500…..and the selectee total for oc is 2501…..so if we do 2501÷1.65=1516 1516÷2500=60%….so the holes are 40%…. do you think I have a chance to get an interview if all goes well this year????
July 15, 2021 at 04:42
Yeah I saw your calculation. Lots of confusion. Wait a few days and I will explain it better.
July 17, 2021 at 22:27
Hi brit patiently waiting for your analysis video…..
July 14, 2021 at 23:56
can an embassy schedule cases faster than the normal 4weeks?..our embassy is currently hiring COs for more interviews, and with august 2nls almost gone, can they still be allowed to do august???with like one or two week notice to do medical???
July 15, 2021 at 04:41
In small numbers, maybe.
July 14, 2021 at 23:11
Hi Simon,
Thanks for your usual help. My hubby is the main applicant 2022AF15xxx and I have a job offer in US. Should i send the job offer with other documents to KCC? Can this fasten my process/interview dates? What is your advise? Thank you!
July 15, 2021 at 04:41
It does not speed things up, but can be helpful at interview if it is a real offer.
July 14, 2021 at 22:19
Hi Simon, my name is Benjamin. I am a DV2022 winner, case no. 2022SA2xxx, I have been following you on youtube, Twitter, and on here of course you have helped me a lot throughout my process so far so thank you very much for that.
I am finishing up gathering all my documentation to send over to KCC even though I haven’t been requested to send them yet following your recommendation to do so considering what a mess the current situation is for DV2021.
I watched your videos and read your posts on how to properly send the documents and just have one doubt.
I submitted my entry with my valid passport which remains so but will expire soon (October 2021), it’s just me applying I have no spouse or derivatives. Do you think I should renew my passport before it expires (it can be done here in Argentina) and send the biographic page photocopies of both my current valid passport and the new one to KCC?
I just want to make sure I get it done right at once. I worry that since I am going to send my docs without being asked and that my application passport will expire soon KCC may think that I am somehow trying to rush things because of that expiration date coming up and that that might put me in a bad position. I don’t know… maybe I’m overthinking overcomplicating it but I would love to hear your thoughts on this.
Thanks again for all your efforts,
Benjamin.
July 15, 2021 at 04:40
Yes -send old and new.
July 14, 2021 at 19:53
Hi Brit,
My family was recently denied a VISA for having signed a polygamous marriage. In my country this is legal and present though the marriage is polygamous, they are no other wives. Is there a way forward for us to solve. can we petition. The consulate replies was that she was not eligible?
July 15, 2021 at 04:39
Hire a local lawyer.
July 14, 2021 at 18:51
Hi Simon, if you haven’t already, please watch today’s video of Chuck Kuck. At some point he was asking his audience to send him some DV statistics as charts so he can use them presumably on Monday. He wanted comparisons of Dv16 thru 21 🙂 just FYI
July 15, 2021 at 04:39
I’ll check in with him tomorrow.
July 14, 2021 at 17:41
Hi Simon,
I received my police cert today and it’s in French but I’ve been processing my documents in English. My country is bilingual though (Cameroon) and the embassy interview in both English and French.
1 Do I need to translate it into English?
2 Can you reshape the link for documents submission, I can’t find it in FAQ
3 Is the Police cert going to expire after 6 months?
4 When can I submit documents even if KCC haven’t requested it? DV2022AF 22xxx
July 15, 2021 at 04:38
1. No
2. Google it
3. 2 years.
4. Anytime.
July 14, 2021 at 17:35
Thanks Sueshi,
My high school certificate was from south Sudan, it was stamped from my home country by ministry of education and ministry of foreign affairs and international cooperation.I don’t how it is done in Kenya but it must be similar process I guess.
The CO asked for I – 134, I gave him, he look at it he return it me. I was only having affidavit form. In absent of I – 134, bank statement is required.
Payment is made cash either Kenyan shillings or USD, they don’t accept credited card, visa card or master card.
Thanks for inquiry.
Feel free

Thank you Soo much Peter for the Information, it’s helpful I appreciated

July 14, 2021 at 16:09
Hi Brit,
Hope you are fine.
I asked you two questions but I could find neither the question nor the answer. Therefore, I am asking you again.
My father had won 2020 dv lottery and made a mistake that cost him even denial. He won but in entry he had not added only one of his sons who was studying in uae at that time and after he found that he had won, he added him in ds-260 withthe rest the family including me. But, fortunately I won dv myself alone single for the year 2022. My question is will my father’s mistake cost me denial?
My second question is that is bank statement needed? if yes please tell when.
My third question is that I am soon leaving my country to study abroad (India) so I haven’t reviewed the email for receiving the documents. So do I have to take the police clearance by the I leave and will send him when I am there because I don’t think that I will be able to get police clearance for Afghanistan from India.
Thank you dear Brit Simon for helping people you don’t even know.
We all really appreciate that.
And please answer my questions.
Best,

Hi Simon
Hope you are well-
Last time I asked you about the processing time with CBP at port of entry you suggested to allow around 4 hours before connecting flight.
Basically my flight lands in jfk at 10:10am and the connecting flight is at 1:30 pm to Miami.
Can I chose Miami as port of entry ?
I’m not sure to have understood how this works. The CBP checks your immigration package when you exit airport right ? Not when you have a connecting flight ?
Thanks for your clarification
Andy
July 15, 2021 at 04:35
Miami is your POE.
July 16, 2021 at 08:18
so Brit if I have a Rome > NY > LAX , I will process the package in NY or LA?
July 18, 2021 at 00:12
NY. Always the first American POE
July 14, 2021 at 14:58
How does one re-enter the US after first landing but depart after only a few days without getting the physical green card? Does he have to fill out any forms?
July 15, 2021 at 04:32
No – the stamped visa acts as a greencard for the first 12 months.
July 14, 2021 at 14:29
Good day, Mr. Simon.
My question is to get information about filling the DS 260 application form that the applicant who has won a green card will not be able to go to the interview as a family. Although I have read your blog on this subject, I am asking again because I could not even get full information on the travel state site. As far as I understand, the easiest way for family members is to follow the DV process and get a visa. But the problem we have is that my wife’s ex spouse does not allow to take her child abroad. Since the child is underage, the participation of both parents or the permission letter of the other parent is requested by the officers on duty. We have applied to the court, but we do not know yet whether it will be concluded before our interview or not. Because of this, what should we do when filling out the DS 260 form?
Note: In our country, the USA embassy is not interested in diversity process. That’s why we must attend the interview in another country that located our border.
1. We will submit the DS260 form for all family members, and we will record it as will immigrate or later for the child on my wife’s (principal) form. There will be no medical exam for the child and we will inform the consulate in advance if he or she cannot attend the interview.”.
2. We will submit the DS260 form for all family members, and we will record it as will immigrate or later for the child on my wife’s (principal) form. There will be no medical exam for the child, and we will not inform the consulate in advance of not being able to attend the interview
3. Only my wife and I will submit the DS260 form, and we will save it as will immigrate or later for the child. There will be no medical exam for the child and we will (my wife principal and me as a accompany) attend the interview. We will or will not give any preliminary information to the consulate on this matter.
Which of these is the right thing to do?
Will we be disqualified because the family member who can get a visa cannot attend the interview?
If there is not any problem for the child to travel abroad without the parent’s permission after the court decision is over, we will apply for another interview within the year or we will have to apply as F2 family sponsored after we get the green card.
As far as I know, not everyone is obliged to participate except the main winner, but there is no definite information about how this process works. I hope I was able to explain my problem. I would appreciate it if you could help and share your experience. Thanks for your valuable time.
July 15, 2021 at 04:31
Don’t write a book. Simple, clear questions!
Anyone wanting a visa must submit a DS260. Not everyone in the family has to get a visa.
July 15, 2021 at 07:01
Due to situation that I mentioned above my question is if we submit the DS260 for our child and he could not attend the interview could be a problem for us or not?
July 15, 2021 at 07:04
How old? Generally, people certain age (young, old) do not need to attend interviews.
July 15, 2021 at 21:03
9 years old.
July 16, 2021 at 03:13
Hmmm. That is not always true Paulie – be careful with that advice.
July 16, 2021 at 03:12
No

Hello . I received my university degree in December 2020. I have not been employed. In March 2021 I decided to take a course in English. I would like to know at the level of primary occupation:
if it is unemployed I must choose or student by entering the information of the training center where I am currently training
July 15, 2021 at 04:12
Just the truth.
July 15, 2021 at 14:02
Ok …i will like to do :
Primary occupation : not employed
Do you have other occupation : training in English .
Is it good ?
July 16, 2021 at 03:28
An occupation is a JOB. Not a skill.
July 14, 2021 at 08:53
Hello Simon,
The Appropriations Committee Approves Fiscal Year 2022 HS Funding Bill
voted as follows:-
“Allows unused fiscal year 2020 and 2021 diversity visas, employment visas, and family-based visas to remain available in fiscal year 2022 and beyond until they are used. The amendment was adopted by voice vote”
What does this mean to the DV2021 cases that have not bee scheduled for interviews?
July 14, 2021 at 10:57
That is GREAT news! I was prayerfully anticipating something similar! America the Great!
July 15, 2021 at 04:09
I just discussed this today on a live session. Watch that.
July 14, 2021 at 08:15
Hi Brit
Last year they process cases in Embassies because cases were there, how do you think this year they will process cases if judge rules in our favour?!
– Police certificate I have now already outdated because I issued June/2020 so do I need to get new one or the 2 years extension applies here.
Thank you in advance.
July 15, 2021 at 04:06
I’m not going to try and predict everything…
2 years is the new standard.
July 14, 2021 at 07:45
Hey Brit, hope you are well!
I’m a 2021 EU33k case and I submitted my documents on April 2nd which is more than 3.5 months ago. Still haven’t got any reply from KCC that I’m ready from scheduling.
I understand that at this point since I still haven’t received a ready for scheduling email that there is no way I’m getting scheduled before the end of September this year. But I am on the Goodluck case, so I’m hoping that they freeze some visas for the future like they did in 2020.
I’ve reached out to KCC asking if they got my documents, but no reply. I’ll resubmit the docs again
I have 2 questions:
1. Do you think the documents may have got lost?
2. Is there anything else I can do besides resending them again to make sure I get the ready for scheduling email?
3. If I don’t get the ready for scheduling email before September 30, 2021 and the judge decides to freeze some 2021 DV visas for future use (like they did in 2020), will I be eligible to take advantage of one of them?
July 15, 2021 at 04:05
1. Maybe. We might only know once KCC are responding again.
2. Nothing will “make sure” you get the RFS email – but do what you think is best.
3. Possibly – and there are other law changes that might help too… so continue chasing.
July 14, 2021 at 07:45
Hi Simon
Am a dv2021AF20***.
I submitted my ds260 in August 2020.The passport I applied for dv entry lottery is the same one I submitted in my ds260.
But then it expired in April 2021.
I had already sent my documents without being asked in February 2021.
No response until recently on June 23rd 2021 the Request for supporting document email was sent to me.
I submitted the documents same day with correct format.
1. But remember my passport has already expired though I already acquired a new one.I only submitted scan copy of the expired one. Is that okay?
2. My police certificate expires tomorrow 14th July 2021.I submitted the scanned PC on 23rd June 2021. Now that am still waiting for the ready to schedule email will it affect it?
Thanks so much Simon.
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!
July 15, 2021 at 03:59
1. Yes
2. No problem, police certs are valid for 2 years now.
July 14, 2021 at 03:55
Hi..I won i lottery visa for Dv 2022 my question is
I’m a J1 visa currently i have three months in USA and my Visa is going to be expired in March 2022, based on Visa availability for adjustment of status to fill form I-485, what if I’m in USA and my Visa availability for adjustment of status will be at May after my J1 visa expire? My questions is should i stay in USA to wait for my adjustment of status or should i go to my country to be interviewed there? What should i do in that case? Because i will be out of status before my adjustment of status
July 15, 2021 at 03:49
AOS questions should be asked here:

Dear Brit,
I have a question related to I-134.My sponsor has submitted visa petitions for 2 people in yr 2019& 2020 to USCIS. But didn’t submit any affidavit of support. Will these visa petitions be a problem in my interview?
July 15, 2021 at 03:42
No

Hlo ,
I emailed our us embassy in nepal, that i was in india after age of 16 for 6 months but not exceeded, also i didn’t visit India after that that,do i need to submit police certification for india,im dv winner.
They replied in that case u dont need to submit pcc,if u dont intend to visit india again.
Should i be sure that i dont need pcc of india,or can embassy demand for it at interview time.
What should i do

Hey man, your wife is a LPR now? She can petition for you, she could have done it already because the process takes about 2 years AFAIK.

He will have to sponsor you through a family based process. It will take about 2 years.

Hi Brit,
RFS 23 April 2021 and no interview yet for Sydney (Goodluck Plaintiff). My questions concerns the Visa Bulletin cutoffs.
1) If it has been known for some time now that there are far more cases that are DQ that available interview slots left until the end of this DV year, then why has Charlie not throttled the Visa Bulletin cuttoff numbers back from “current” to a cuttoff number applicable to the region? I recall from a video of yours that there is historical precedence for this; Africa a few years ago (?).
2) Would you expect the next VB to still be “current”, or do you think they might take action?
3) If they keep all regions as “current”, wouldn’t this imply that they believe they can cater for all the demand before the end of the DV year?
I’m unlikely to get an interview this DV year without benefits from the Goodluck case.
Thanks, and keep up the good work!

New VB is out – still current. It doesn’yt imply anything because their systems are screwed up.

Hi Brit,
I am DV2021 winner and my case # is 2021AF30xxx.
I submitted my DS260 form sometime in September last year and have received a positive response. I have still not received my 2NL.
Please advice.

Dear Brit ,pls assuming Judge Mehta orders for issuance of DV 2020 reserved visas, how it is going to be like ;
1 Will DV 2020 interviews be scheduled alongside DV 2021 ?
2 Or the judge will order the starting on DV 2020 interview on a different date?
Thank you for your insights!
July 15, 2021 at 03:39
We don’t know.
July 15, 2021 at 03:38
When did you send documents?
July 13, 2021 at 20:15
Hi Simon, I’m DV 2021, AS26K, sent the docs in march without being asked to, got an email asking for docs yesterday with title “Further docs required”,I resent the docs again on the same day, and today they replied to one of my emails that my DS260 has been processed ( before that they used to reply with under processing).
1) Does that mean my documents are accepted since my DS260 is processed already? Or does that mean they actually need some additional documents beside the ones I already sent in March?
Thanks
July 13, 2021 at 20:23
could you please tell me your country…
July 15, 2021 at 03:37
They are sending some weird emails – I can’t tell what they mean.
July 13, 2021 at 19:59
Hi Brit,
2022EU19xxx here,
– ds260 submitted on May 8th (the day results were announced)
– Documents sent on June 16th, without being asked
– pending ds260 unlock request since May 13th (I didn’t include my complete work history – so I told KCC that I’d like them to unlock the form so I can “make some revisions regarding work history”)
Since I’m in an almost 4 years long relationship, my girlfriend and I started talking about us getting married this summer, since we learned that it takes 2+ years to bring a spouse through regular marriage immigration. We are simply terrified of being physically separated for that long + who
knows how much Covid can prolong this period.
My question is, considering my case number and actions already performed, would you advise us to get married as soon as possible, additionally edit my ds260 and submit her ds260 as a dependent when they unlock my form (unlock requested for work history reasons on may 13th) + send her documents additionally or it’s too late for that since it could raise some red flags and cause problems?
Thank you
July 15, 2021 at 02:58
Yes get married then amend your DS260 and send new documents. You have to wait until next year anyway, so you have plenty of time.
July 13, 2021 at 19:20

Thank you
July 15, 2021 at 02:56
