Hello Brits, I am Goodluck plaintif Dv2021CN Af 38k when we check the ceac status and get the information ( if your case is processing electronically please log into the ceac invoice account number and 16digits…..)..1..What does this mean? Since KCC is the one to schedule our interviews, are we still suppose to register electronically?
2….The 16 digist number , what number is that?…is it the digits you have on the form when you signed and saw you won the lottery?
September 18, 2021 at 02:51
I You just have to wait.
September 18, 2021 at 01:59

Hello Brit,
First of all thanks for the all the support you are giving for everyone here!
I’m DV22AF28XXX selectee, chargeable to Egypt and I noticed in your posts that the process of some countries are slower for the high number of selectees regardless of where your interview is.(correct me if I misunderstood that part).
my interview will be in Vancouver Canada, and i noticed in your pervious posts that Vancouver was not listed and for Canada it was mainly Montreal!
my questions are
Is Vancouver first time to conduct such interviews?
would that affect the processing time?
If Vancouver assumingly has less number of applicant comparing to Egypt for example, would that help get an 2NL earlier by any means or in all cases my case has to be current to expect the 2NL?
finally what is your rough estimate of when I would be called for 2NL considering my 28XXX case rank.
sorry for the long text.
thanks in advance
Hossam

Vancouver does not handle DV cases at all. YOu would be interviewed in Montreal. But that won’t be until spring next year.
September 18, 2021 at 03:02
When I submitted my DS260 , there was an option to make the interview location in Vancouver or Montreal
because I live in Alberta , I chose Vancouver
might be first year they will do it there? do you think?
September 18, 2021 at 13:59
No. They will ignore your choice.
September 18, 2021 at 02:35

September 18, 2021 at 02:52

September 18, 2021 at 02:53
14k. 2021. DQd in March. Nairobi. Any chance of 2NL before 9/30?
Curtis plaintiff. What happens if derivative ages out, assuming JM visa preservation.
September 18, 2021 at 03:01
1. Wait until the judgement
2. Ask your lawyer

Hello Brit,
Many thanks for your resourceful blog. I have a question. I am Nepalese and DV winner for 2022. I had lived in five countries namely Thailand, Denmark, Somalia, Ethiopia and Kenya for more than 6 months. I managed to make online request and get police clearance report from Thailand and Denmark. However, there is no way of requesting police clearance report via online and in this COVID time, it is really hard to travel. Kindly advice for getting the reports from other countries.
Thank you much.

There are instructions for each country on the reciprocity pages. Read and follow those instructions.
September 18, 2021 at 05:05
Hello Brit,
i am a DV2021 Winner. My interview is expected to get schedule in this month. My PCC validity period has been expired. What should I do. Should I apply for new PCC or old one will work. Please give your input.
September 18, 2021 at 06:05
How can it work when it has expired?
September 18, 2021 at 14:00
The police report is accepted up to 2 years old.
September 20, 2021 at 08:47
Thanks for information..
September 18, 2021 at 05:15
dear simon,
i am a part of a case filed by nicolette as Nepal vs DOS, i just cant understand if judge mehta gives preferance to the plantiffs to reserve visa , will people in nepal vs dos get the benefit or not? i asked my lawyer and she replied as follows ” If judge Mehta reserves visas there will likely be benefits for all our Plaintiffs because of the way we interpleaded the different cases. We need to wait and see what he does.” and i didnt understand what she means by this.
September 18, 2021 at 14:01
“wait and see”
September 18, 2021 at 05:23
Hi Britsimon
OC 2022 winner from Australia with CN OC23XX. I submitted by D260 four days ago, though I realised when it asks for other countries I’ve been to in the last 5 years, There were about 7 countries which I listed down, though I forgot about listing Portugal. Would I need to unlock D260 so I could list it or should I just leave it. Surely they wouldn’t kick up a stink about forgetting 1 country as its stamped on my passport so its not like I could hide it anyways. Appreciate you answering my other annoying questions over the past few months.
Shehan
September 18, 2021 at 14:02
You have a long time to wait anyway because of your case number, so why wouldn’t you unlock and correct the form???
September 18, 2021 at 06:16
Hello . Thank you for the fast and accurate valuable support you give. The spouse is the winner of the American lottery 2022 with Dv25xxx. We completed the Ds260 form at the end of May. Please suggest me these two situations:
1.) The passport of the spouse expires in March 2022. In Ds 260 we did it with the current passport (existing that will expire) with which we applied at the beginning and won the lottery. We did not receive requesting for sending documents from the KCC office , yet. When do you suggest me to apply for a new passport and I have to apply for opening the form and entering the data for the new passport? Or does this penalize me and can going ahed for finish all procedures with this actual passport ?
2.) The guarantor that we will stay in Usa, will change address the house at the end of October 2021. We have specified its existing address data in the form Ds260. Am I required to request Ds260 opening and entering the new address on the form?
September 18, 2021 at 14:03
1. No need to unlock. Take old and new passports to the interview.
2. You should update the address, but you can do that at the interview.
September 18, 2021 at 16:15
Thank you a lot !
September 18, 2021 at 07:03
Dv2022. Do sponsor should be greencard/passport holder of USA? Or a student who is living in US legally and has good income source can be sponsor?
September 18, 2021 at 14:24
greencard/passport holder.
September 18, 2021 at 08:18
Hi. My parents are the winners of the latest DV lottery. I’m more than 21 years of age, so I won’t be joining them. We are planning to reunite via the F2B visa stream. But there is one things that keeps bugging me. My father, a small business owner in our home country, is 62 years old. My mother is 52 and does not work. They have no higher education or specialty. But they have the sufficient wherewithal to last for a couple of years in the US. They are also hoping to find basic jobs once they land in the US. Also, I would be running my father’s business once he’s gone and so I’ll be able to give additional financial support. But that means that he’ll become officially unemployed in our home country. Given all of this, how likely are my parents to be considered public charge in the eyes of the US immigration system? And how likely are they to get rejected on such basis? Thanks in advance.
September 18, 2021 at 14:30
I can’t assess how the CO will consider an individual case – but their savings might help prove that they would not become a public charge. But really I wonder why your parents would go through this process so late in life. “basic jobs” won’t provide much security and the immigration process is costly and hard. It will be years before you could possibly get to join them via F2B, so is your family really sure that hardship is worthwhile?
September 18, 2021 at 09:52
Dear Brit
I received PCC from Morocco ,but the address written on it which i not mentioned in DS 260 .
is that can effect my case as I did not mentioned this address in the DS form as I did not lived in it .
Thank you
Regards,
Karim

That could cause questions.
September 18, 2021 at 10:08
Hi
my name is Khaled and I’m a high school student ( at the third and last year on the high school )
I want to register on the dv 2023 but I will Don’t have a high school diploma on the date of register on the dv (October to november )
But I will have it on the month of June ( mean before the starting of the consulate interviews )
– so my question is can I register on the dv 2023 or no ?
and if I can register does I Will need to choose : high school no degree or high school diploma ?
Knowing that I am only 17 years old, but I will be 18 at the end of January
and thanks
September 18, 2021 at 14:33
You can register. Even if you are selected, you will probably have turned 19 before any interview…
September 18, 2021 at 13:08
Hi Simon,
The forums site OC selectees have created a beautiful spreadsheet. If you see that data you will notice that all who have submitted DS260 from 8th to 14th May have received document request (except 1 case). The same is mostly true for other regions as well from comments in this blog and on the forums all selectees section. Perhaps you should consider that KCC are processing as per DS260 submission date rather than case number order.
Just wanted to bring to your notice.
September 18, 2021 at 13:55
I have explained that over and over again. In the first few days/weeks after the announcement the cases that submit early and can be processed early have an advantage because the inbox is empty, or can be emptied easily. Once there is a backlog of cases in the inbox the inbox cannot be emptied daily, so new emails arrive and get automatically sorted in case number order.
September 20, 2021 at 05:04
Hi JM, I’m an OC selectee. How can I join your group?
September 18, 2021 at 15:06
Hello Simon. I am a Goh plaintiff and got an interview appointment scheduled for next Thursday (which I found out this week on Thursday, so they gave me a week… very stressful).
1. I am thinking ahead, but – assuming we get the DV – do you know how long it takes for a green card to be ready and sent by post, once the DV holder has entered the US?
2. We will not be able to move immediately. Can our contact person simply send the green cards to us by post? We live in Europe.
3. If I understand correctly, in order for the DV to be turned into a green card, one can – theoretically speaking – enter the US, stay for a day and then leave again. Meaning we don’t have to stay there for weeks or months for us to obtain the green card.
a) Is this correct?
b) Do you know how many months/years we have before we actually have to move to the US or else our cards will expire? I thought you had to enter the US once a year for 3 years but I’m not sure, can you please confirm?
It’s not that we don’t want to move asap, but we have quite a complex situation not allowing us to pack our bags and move immediately.
Thanks again.
September 18, 2021 at 16:13
1. 3 to 4 months.
2. Yes
3. a. Yes
b. There isn’t that sort of policy you are assuming. You are supposed to be moving to the States, if you are out of the USA more than you are in the USA over a long period of time, you run the risk that they challenge you as having abandoned your GC. It isn’t a finite rule, the actual circumstances will vary, but plan to move to the USA asap.
September 18, 2021 at 15:18
Hello .
Thank you for your invaluable, quick and precise support. I am the winner of the American lottery 2022AF1008 *.
Is that the same number can be assigned to different region
for example: 2022AF10083 and 2022EU10083
September 18, 2021 at 16:14
Yes
September 18, 2021 at 20:56
if the case and that the two numbers filed their DS260 how its going?
September 18, 2021 at 21:52
They are two different cases, no relationship between them.
September 18, 2021 at 15:43
Dear Sir,
I have edited my DS260 for the first time and I have carefully completed all the sections and got a print out too.
However, when I check back DS 260 recently, I was noted that following question was omitted, I believe that was due to a technical error since that is a yes or no answer question and cant go to next page without completing it.
– Have you traveled to any countries/regions within the last five years (Yes/No)
I already got the 2NL and ready to be scheduling. When I asked from KCC they informed that my DS 260 and documents are ok. I have a copy of the DS260 which was taken before editing (I have completed that question in that DS260-before editing)
Kindly advise me what to do,
1. Should that be a problem for not scheduling interview?
2.Should I unlock my DS260 and do the changes.
Thank you
September 18, 2021 at 16:16
1. The 2NL is the interview schedule, so you don’t have that. The issue is not stopping scheduling since they don’t know it is an issue.
2. Case number????
September 18, 2021 at 17:13
Sir I am DV 2020, AS 18XXX
I am waiting Judge Mehetha’s final decision. Few cases behind my number got 2NL and interviewed in last year September.
I presume that there will be a chance and they will start interview from my number (If I am lucky) as I am documentary Qualified applicant.
Thank you again for your kind advice
September 18, 2021 at 17:41
OK so you can’t unlock your DS260 now anyway. Wait.
September 18, 2021 at 16:44
Greetings Britsimon and to you all my fellow DV lottery participants.
I saw that my case # will be current on November. We are under the US Embassy in Fiji. Last time, the news said that Fiji will open on November. This morning the only plane that flys to Fiji ( Fiji Airway) say they will open for commericail flight on December.
So looks like I will not be in Fiji until December. Which brings me to my question. Can I still do my interview on December? Or is the delay going to be a problem for me?
September 18, 2021 at 17:44
You probably won’t be scheduled in November anyway.
September 18, 2021 at 16:52
Hello Brit
My military record is in turkish and I am currently living in another country. my interview will be in this current country. I will upload the documents to KCC. To which language should I translate the document. It has to be in English or is it ok if I translate it to my current country’s language?
Best Regards
September 18, 2021 at 17:42
If the language of your current country is not Turkish then translate to English. English is more useful.
September 18, 2021 at 18:23
Hi Brit
I lost my passport with my unused DV visa. Can they reissue it to me? Can they reissue it after september or should I return early from my trip?
Thanks
September 18, 2021 at 20:20
I have no answer for you. You asked me about losing your passport in June. I answered then. You seem to have planned to lose your passport – which makes me think you are up to no good, and I am not interested in helping you with that effort.
September 18, 2021 at 20:24
Hi Britt. We are DV2021 selectee and Goodluck plaintif. We submitted all our documentation in May. How do we know whether our documents have been processed, i.e. whether we are DQ? We have sent numerous emails to KCC and other than automated responses we only received one reply in July in which they confirmed that they had received our documents and that we should wait 6 weeks before we follow up regarding processing. Attempts to find our whether our documents have been processed have gone unanswered. Is there any way we can find out whether we are DQ? Thanks for all the assistance.
September 18, 2021 at 21:36
No other way.
September 19, 2021 at 13:14
Noted – but frustrated :(. Thanks for all the assistance.

Hi Sir,
Sorry I forgot to ask, the form I-134. Does my sponsor need to get it approved from USCIS or does he ( sponsor) just send the completed form to me to go with to the interview and show to the Consular? At first I thought I needed him ( sponsor) to submit the I-134 to the USCIS but reading through one of the questions u told him to just bring it to the interview . Please can you enlighten me on what to do with the completed I134?
September 18, 2021 at 22:40
No you don’t get it approved. You just take it to the interview.
September 19, 2021 at 01:53
Hello Sir
I am living in USA and I’m citizens
I just want to know about Lottery
Can I apply for my family?
Thank you
September 19, 2021 at 14:06
Yes
September 19, 2021 at 02:12
Dear Simon,
I have my interview scheduled and now I have a question on a slightly different topic:
How can a new legal immigrant rent an apartment in California? We would need to rent before we even start looking for a job.
As per your experience and knowledge do they accept higher deposits or pre-payments for like 3 months?
Thank you
September 19, 2021 at 14:09
Without a credit history and SSN there are some landlords that won’t rent to you. But if you look around the area you want to live there will be landlords that will work with you. All landlords will expect prepaid rent and security deposits, but it might help to show good credit history from your own country.
September 20, 2021 at 15:09
Hi Alex, yes this is something that we need to be well prepared for, certainly our SSN at hand and enough funds to pay for a few months rent, I believe. Before I left for Houston, TX, I contacted realtors Paige Martin and Katie Day of Movemetotexas.com(yes, I called them out), explaining my situation and my enough funds to pay up a to year’s rent in Houston. Neither of them had the politeness to even email me back.
This May be an Apples to Oranges situation, but probably not- Some HK permanent residents who have immigrated in the UK in the past year through their British BNO passports(many HK residents born before ’97 have it and Boris Johnson has offered a path for them to live in the UK for 5 years with path to Citizenship), have had a very difficult time renting apartments in the UK due to lack of a job offer/credit history/social security number(or in UK National Insurance Number), but apparently the ‘job offer’ aspect. https://www.scmp.com/news/hong-kong/society/article/3131795/house-hunting-hongkongers-hit-brick-wall-britain-landlords. So, they were made to pay 6-12 months rent up front. Also, some have found jobs hard to come by. I think bigger picture, we need to have our ‘ducks lined up’ and make sure that there are organisations and groups in our place of residence that we can turn to for various kinds of support.
September 19, 2021 at 03:20
Hi Brit,
My case 2021AS5XXX has been interviewed and under AP for more than 2 months and I’ve not heard anything back from the embassy yet. The DV 2021 will conclude by the end of this month. Will US embassy keep my case pass the due date?
Thank you.
September 19, 2021 at 14:10
The case must be issued by the deadline, or you lose your chance.
September 19, 2021 at 23:45
Will they let me know whether my case refuse or approve before deadline?
September 19, 2021 at 05:47
Hi Simon,
Is it mandatory to be vaccinated BEFORE entering the medical exam / interview ?
Thanks and regards
September 19, 2021 at 14:09
That would vary by country. Best idea is to get the vaccination if you can.
September 19, 2021 at 06:33
Hello Brit. I am a building electrician. I followed a 3-year training in electricity, which allowed me to obtain a Higher Technician Certificate in electricity issued by the Ministry of technical and vocational education of my country. I have a professional experience of at least 2 years. can I register for DV2023?
September 19, 2021 at 14:11
Anyone can register.
September 19, 2021 at 08:34
Hi Britsimon, thanks for your good works. In one of your recent videos, you indicated that some of the us embassies have big capacities to conduct more interviews. You mentioned london embassy as one.
Looking at the save diversity visa data, it appears that only 72 interviews have been done at london embassy. I compared that that South Africa and Camaroun and other small embassies. It appears some small embassies have conducted more interviews than the big embassies. I know local COVID restrictions plays a role but when I read london news about COVID and it says that no restrictions in place since July so why don’t they conduct more interviews for DV21.
September 19, 2021 at 14:18
There is a tiered prioritization in place that puts DV behind most other immigrant visa types. So an embassy such as London can have large overall capacity but could have few DV spaces after all the other visas have been scheduled.
September 19, 2021 at 09:24
Hello Simon
How long was the process for you from the day you found out that you had been selected for further processing until the day you moved to America?
Thanks a lot
Robin
September 19, 2021 at 14:21
I moved to America early (knowing I was a DV winner) because I had an H1 visa. However, my process started on the day of the results announcement in May 2013 and I was approved for my GC in early September 2014 – so 16 months.
September 19, 2021 at 10:27
Dear Mr. Simon
DV2022 Asia 11K
I’m trying to understand the I-134 form and already read your FAQ post, but looks like the links inside the article are broken or no longer available (please take a look at the federal poverty guideline link) https://aspe.hhs.gov/poverty/14poverty.cfm
So my question is: should the sponsor have a specific limit of income to cover the beneficiary? what is 100% and 125 % standard?
if you could repair the link or refer new one that would be appreciated
September 19, 2021 at 14:22
100%

Hi Brit, we’re planning to submit entry for DV 2023. My son is turning 21 on October 29. Can we still make an entry as family before he turns 21 or he should submit his entry as stand alone?
September 19, 2021 at 14:27
If you enter before he turns 21 you MUST include him on your entry. However, he would not be included in the process if you win.
He can also submit his own entry (but won’t be able to take you if he wins).
September 19, 2021 at 12:51
Dear Mr. Simon,
Thank you very much for your great efforts related to sharing and explaining the DV’s information!!!
Am a DV 2021 winner, EU18xxx, Frankfurt. I believed in the system and did not even think, the participating in a lawsuit might be necessary, because KCC requested my documents very punctually, before my number became current (on the 8th of March 2021), I was able to submit the docs on the 1st of May, yes unfortunately so late, my mistake!!! However, my DS260 was submitted very early in June 2020.
I texted to KCC in the middle of June 2021 to ask about the status and got a reply at the end of July. They said, please stay patient, your DS260 is processed and your further docs are in the queue to get checked. After this I did not get any confirmation, that my docs are OK.
Now the class status of the Rosales Lawsuit was cancelled. I am a non-plaintiff.
I see some injustice there: the lawsuit exists due to the COVID situation. Let’s imagine, there is a plaintiff with the number like 90 000, who very probably would not get any visa under usual circumstances (if COVID did not happen), but now being a plaintiff he/ she will be prioritised, which is not fair to non-plaintiffs with the lower numbers like 20 000, who would get a visa under usual circumstances (if COVID did not happen).
MY POINT IS: I would like to find a lawyer who would initiate a lawsuit for people like me for DV2021 based on the argumentation above, who very probably would get their visas under usual circumstances. People, who have documents qualified, who already got the request from KCC to submit docs and who submitted documents. Generally speaking, for the people, who got the positive “signs” from KCC. I understand we must wait till the end of September, to see what the Judge will say, but I want to start preparation. Could you please recommend good lawyers who would likely want to initiate such a lawsuit? I am ready to help find the plaintiffs. Or maybe you know about current lawsuits which I could join?
Could you please give your feedback?
Thank you very much for your support.
Kindest regards,
AT
September 19, 2021 at 14:41
There are challenges with that, I’m not sure there is enough time.
The government are quite clear that selection does not guarantee success, and they did not “break” that understanding when they told you to be patient. You knew from the beginning that point. There is certainly unfairness in what is about to happen, but I could point you to many other unfair things that happen. Life isn’t always fair, and the DV process doesn’t make a guarantee of fairness. When the lawsuits were being launched I was a strong proponent of being on a lawsuit. It’s not that I knew the precise outcome we are about to see, but for the sake of a small amount of money why wouldn’t you take the insurance?
September 20, 2021 at 17:34
Thank you very much for your reply, Mr. Simon,
I found your channel too late, unfortunately. I used the sources which led me in a wrong direction…
If you still could recommend any lawyers who could support people like me that would be great.
Thank you so much,
Kindest regards,
AT
September 19, 2021 at 17:00
Hey AT, I am DV 21 Frankfurt too, let us get in touch. How can I reach you?
September 20, 2021 at 17:26
Hey, Chris, [email protected]
September 19, 2021 at 14:24
Hi brit
I’m dv2022 , I submitted my documents without being asked directly after filling ds260 .
What could happen if they open my documents before processing my ds260 ?
I mean if they open the documents and they find that the DS had not been processed?
September 19, 2021 at 14:43
That is unlikely to happen.
September 19, 2021 at 15:02
another question please Mr Simon:
If I submitted DS at May, then unlocked and resubmitted in July, what date appear to KCC ?
September 19, 2021 at 22:12
Doesn’t make any difference because the date of submission is unimportant.
September 19, 2021 at 15:08
Morning Simon
I’m a dv2021 who entered the us a lpr last July as single.
My gf and I are thinking of getting married this year. However I wasn’t sure how that would work since I am a new resident:
1- is there a risk for my green card if we get married by end of this year (around November)?
2-any risk for future us citizenship ?
3-if none, can she join me here to get married on us soil ? Or it has to be in another country?
4-how long after marriage can she join me here ?
Thanks for your advice
Andy

1. No
2. No

Hello Simon, Jonathan here, thank you again for all your help. I have some good news and perhaps some not so good ones. My family friend in Tennessee contacted me that they received my Permanent Residence card in the mail, just over 1 month after I entered the U.S!! (I had to return to East Asia to tie up logistical loose ends and for family reasons relating to my mother’s rehab. Thank God that I narrowly missed, by a few days, HK’s 21-day, up from 7-day, mandatory hotel quarantine for US arrivals). Interestingly, though- my Social Security card was NOT sent along with it, even though I DID request for a new SS card to be issued in my initial Immigrant Visa application.(I have a SS card issued well over 10 years ago when I went to the US as a student, but it has the ‘valid for work only with DHS authorisation’ statement on it). Supposedly, I would keep my same SS number but be issued a new card? I’ll have to contact the SS Gov office about that. Supposedly, I could still file and pay my US income tax overseas using my initial SS number.
Even more annoying- my Tennessee friend sent a screenshot of the Green Card and I saw that there is a slight typo to my name- Jonathan Cheng Hun(Romanisation of my Chinese FIRST name) rather than Jonathan Cheng Hung (USCIS error, as my Immigrant Visa had the Correct spelling). Apparently, I would have to return the physical green card to USCIS along with a Form I-90 if I seek to replace it. I anticipate that I will be here in Asia for a number of months to come, and I really hate to bother my Tennessee friends more(the late husband was a pastor at our church in HK in the early 90’s). If possible, I could just keep the current Green card, then when I enter and move permanently to U.S. next year, I could have the Green Card replaced with the corrected spelling, and sent to my Own U.S. address? Thanks so much, Simon- Uh, so annoying, especially with so much on our plates at the moment….

Thanks for the update!
The SSN is never sent with the GC – it’s a totally different organization. When you are next in the USA you can visit the SSA and get a new card (with the same number).
You could correct the GC next time also and at that time would select an address to receive it.

Thanks again, Simon. Yes, apparently there is a chance that I may be required to have a Biometric services appointment, either in the U.S. or a foreign embassy/consulate. Goodness, just one letter typo.

Hello Simon,
I have a question: What happened when you become current but not receive documents request email from KCC? My CN is 2022EU3k, ds260 filled in July. My case is in the visa bulletin for November. Should I write to KCC or..? How was it in the previous years?
Thank you!
September 19, 2021 at 20:58
Hi Stela,
I am also 2022EU3k. Just to let you know that I received the document request email from KCC last Thursday. I did sent the documents earlier just to be proactive, but I sent them again when I got the email.
September 19, 2021 at 22:18
Just patience. Once you are ready for scheduling you would get an interview then.

Hello brit

September 19, 2021 at 22:19
You have to get the police certificate. It will list your crime, and then you will explain that.

Hi Brit, if my documents are at the nvc , can I send them an email and request them to transfer my case if am already DQ and am current just to try to be pro active because now it seems DV is survival for the fittest. If I can send , what’s the email address?
September 20, 2021 at 13:52
Nothing is at NVC. Your case is at KCC, and you have that email address.

Hi Brit.
Question. I am a 2022OC11XX winner. We have submitted our Ds260 and just submitted our documents without a request as per your advice.
My question is we will leave NZ to a country in Europe for a few weeks in December so my wife can visit family.
Which means she will have to update her travel history on our Ds260 form and get an updated Police certificate from this European country that cover the time she was there I assume as our interview will be in NZ early to mid next year.
What should we do about our Ds260 form and also that we already sent in all our documents. Should we resend new ones again with this update?.
Thanks again
September 20, 2021 at 13:56
No need to update that history police certs are accepted for 2 years, so no need to update that either. If you were to unlock for some other reason, then you would also update the travel history.

Ask KCC to unlock, and update your address. It’s covered in the FAQ

Hello Brit,
my brother is dv2022, he completed high school then he went to vocational school and got his diploma. My questions are:
1: on the ds260 he said vocational school as higher education attended , would that be and issue?
2: do you have to show proof of work experience if you have chosen vocational school?
3. can we unlock the ds260 and just mention his high school education?
September 20, 2021 at 13:59
1. Possibly
2. No
3. If that is accurate, yes
September 20, 2021 at 11:59
Hi Simon,
I am a DV2022 winner and I have submitted the DS260 in may, right after the results came out.
I got married with my husband this 13th September and two days later, on 15th September I have emailed the KCC asking to unlock my case (as suggested in your specific FAQ). However, I was only able to add my husband as applicant but I am unable to edit my application and change my marital status from single to married.
Today, 20th September I have received an email from KCC requiring further DV documents.
What should I do? Should I call them?
Please help me!
September 20, 2021 at 14:00
Personally I would wait until KCC had unlocked, and only then submit documents (for both).
September 20, 2021 at 18:52
Thanks. Do they email me that the form has been unlocked? I have heard that they take up to two weeks to unlock the form.
September 21, 2021 at 00:06
Yes they email you, but since KCC are weeks behind in emails you can expect to wait a lot longer.
September 29, 2021 at 08:30
Hey Simon, as an update: KCC has not unlocked my form yet.
Meanwhile, should I submit the dv260 for my husband? I have added him as a accompanying right after we got married but he did not complete his dv260 yet. Should we wait for the KCC to unlock my form and then submit the unlocked form and his form together?
September 30, 2021 at 18:45
Wait for the unlock.
September 30, 2021 at 11:13
#2nd UPDATE
KCC has just sent me another email asking for the further documentation. It is identical to the one they already sent to me.
What to do?

Hi,
This year on may i’ve been selected under the number 2022SA27XX.
I’ve submited the DS-260 in May 26th, then i got the confirmation in the same day. After that I didn’t get any other notification. I’m not sure if should I send documents? proceed with something?
I’m just afraid the are not reaching me out during this fiscal year and loosing the chance.

Hey Simon. Trying to fill a DS-260 for a DV 2022 winner and keep getting “the case number is invalid” warning. There are no zeros to be deleted. I tried to confirm the case number through the “forgot my case number” link but that did not work either. Any recommendations?

Different browser, different computer.

Also, try incognito mode.
September 20, 2021 at 14:40
Hi brit
Does unlocking the ds260 delay your case ?
Because the date of the submission changes when you resubmit it.And they seem to DQ dv2022 cases by date of submission of the ds260,so I’m just wondering.
Thanks
