Dear Brit Simon,
Is there any document where is written that judge Mehta gave a priority to the Gomez consolidated cases members , for dv2020.
April 28, 2022 at 05:14
Yes of course – the transcripts.
April 28, 2022 at 11:52
Dear Brit Simon waht I am saying is that as I remember the priority was given only to dv2021 plaintiffs, not Kennedy Fonjong or Gomez. So, if there would be a take off for DV2020 case, a plaintiff going to have a priority, right?
May 2, 2022 at 03:42
For DV2020 there is NO case that has priority now.

Hello,
I have already entered the dv lottery for 2023 and check after months that my online passport photo is dimensions 600×600 res 72×72
And total photo is 69% according to dvlottery.me photo checker mine is 69% apparently my head is to big? but on travel state.gov it states photos from top to chin should be between 50%-69% and eyes to the bottom of picture should be 56%-69% of the images height.
Is it okay that my photo is 69% on the dot ?
Thank you in Advance
April 28, 2022 at 05:10
There is no point in worrying about your entry into a lottery which has a one in one hundred year chance of being selected.

Hey Simon!
We have a question. At the moment we fill the data on AIS webpage (registering the interview) it ask for ds260 number. (Not a mandatory field) but it gives me a error saying it’s been already taken. I can registry the interview without putting nothing on that field. But not sure if that would be a problem or not for our case and the interview. Can you give us your advice?
We rechecked the status on ceac and everything looks good. We even rechecked the ds260 number on confirmation pages and it’s the same we are typing
April 28, 2022 at 05:09
You only need to setup the account for the courier. So if you managed that, you are fine.
April 27, 2022 at 13:49
Hi Simon , hope you are well I’m with Jesse case (Sydney cases ) yesterday i was able see my status and it was DOCQ and when i send KCC about my DS they answer “Your forms have been received and are currently processing.”
i read your article said DOCQ mean DQ I’m little confused could you please explain
2- which one better DOCQ or DOCC
Thank you
April 28, 2022 at 05:08
Well if you KNOW your case is DOCQ, but KCC tell you it is still processing, then DOCC must be when the processing is complete – don’t you think?
April 27, 2022 at 10:21

April 27, 2022 at 09:46
Hello Simon
Thank you for the support you give us here, I’m DV2022 AF10k
Question:
for a family of 4 does the sponsor have to fill out form I-134 for each family member separately or only one copy of I-134 for all family members?
“new Form I-134”
April 28, 2022 at 05:05
One form covers all the family.
April 27, 2022 at 05:24
am dv 2021 winner. if the lawsuit succeeds, my daughter turns to 21 yrs old. What will happen in taking her to US?
April 28, 2022 at 05:02
I believe her age will be frozen (because of the CSPA) so she should be able to stay on your case.
April 27, 2022 at 05:01
Hello Brit,
We’re the winners of the DV2022, our case is around 16.000, the interview embassy in Tashkent, recently received a second letter of verification of our DS-260 form “Your DS-260 has been processed.
Should we enter to legal action against Morrison?
Thanks for your reply in advance.
April 28, 2022 at 05:02
Against Morrison?? What are you talking about?
April 28, 2022 at 06:41
Sorry I misunderstood, will join the lawsuit
April 27, 2022 at 03:41
Dear Simon,
My case No. is 2022AS18XXX. I submitted my ds260 on June last year. However my ds260 is still processing. My husband planned not to immigrate with us, so he didn’t submit his ds260. My question is if he wants to submit his ds260 now, does it affect my case process? If my ds260 is processed and transferred to the embassy, would he still have chance to submit his ds260 and interview with us?
Thank you very much and best regards.
April 28, 2022 at 05:01
If he wants to change his mind he should do that sooner rather than later. You can discuss with KCC or the embassy
May 4, 2022 at 16:32
Thank you Simon.
I have asked the KCC for submitting my husband’s DS260 last week. This time they reply me “ Records indicate you have submitted a complete and valid DS-260 application for each family member, and you have provided all required documentation to the Kentucky Consular Center. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing.”
Does it mean I am ready for scheduling and I can’t make any change of DS260 anymore?
Best wishes.
May 4, 2022 at 18:30
It means ready for scheduling, but you may still be able to make changes, although you should only do that is absolutely necessary.
April 27, 2022 at 03:07
According to the visa bulletin, my case no will be current on May 2022.”Visa Status Check” webpage notified my case no is “At NVC” status. Some CEAC visa statics shows that until 29XXX case numbers are in “READY” states in CLM consulate. I still not received the KCC Email to submit documents. I have sent relevance Documents to [email protected] 24-04-2022.
2022AS25K is my case no.
April 28, 2022 at 05:00
Many people are waiting, I cannot predict what will happen in your case.
April 27, 2022 at 00:27
hello Simon, with the new I-134 form who needs to fill it out for DV cases? What are the risks associated with filing the old form?

April 26, 2022 at 21:25
How was your evening? Can you please help me? case number 28** I have not received 2NL yet. What should I do? thank you
April 28, 2022 at 04:57
Your number is useless without the region and year.
April 26, 2022 at 20:01
Hallo Brit do you know how long people have waited for their GC’s after entering the US lately? Thank you
April 28, 2022 at 04:56
Allow up to 3 or even 4 months.
April 26, 2022 at 19:50
Hi Simon!
Wanted your opinion on this. We are DV2022 CNOC20** and submitted our DS260 back when we were asked. The bulletin is now current so I jumped onto SaveDVlottery to see where the Auckland consulate is at for case numbers and they are currently at case number OC2363 which is after our case number. Is this normal that they would say case numbers are ready for processing even though our case number was before theirs?
April 28, 2022 at 04:56
Yes that is normal. That case might have been ready for scheduling before yours.
April 26, 2022 at 08:26
Hello sir,
my case number is 2022AS14k, Kuwait embassy…my marriage was arranged just before i received the 2NL and i wrote to the embassy to reschedule my interview attaching my travel tickets and marriage invitations, to which they replied kindly asking me to email them once am ready. Please advice me on how i can add my spouse and take her along with me to the interview. Thanks
April 28, 2022 at 04:43
They told you to email them – so do that!
April 26, 2022 at 06:13
Hello simon,
I have a little question. I noticed that the ds260 form asks about your social media presence and emails but let’s say I won the dv lottery, do I have to include all of my social media accounts and emails even if I am embarrassed by them? Also, a lot of these accounts have fake addresses associated with them meaning that I used a fake address to create the account and some of them I even had money on (like using US gift cards even though I live outside the US) will this perhaps cause my visa rejected? And do you think I should enter the lottery if I have these sort of problems?
Thanks.
April 27, 2022 at 21:43
First, win the lottery. Then you can think about these things…
April 26, 2022 at 03:36
Hello Simon, I have a question:
I’ve been trying to get KCC to change my interview from CP to AOS for a few weeks now. First, I wasn’t current, but all I was getting was automated responses. After April 13, my case became current and after that the KCC automated response changed to the email that says “Your case number is now current for interview processing”.
I already paid the DV fee, but haven’t sent the AOS package because I’m afraid that my case is in a limbo now, and I don’t want to waste more money if I won’t be able to process my case in the US.
Have you heard of any case similar to mine? Is my only hope that I get scheduled for CP and process my case at the Embassy? Or should I continue filling AOS?
I know these are a lot of questions, but I’m kind of desperate at this point, I would really appreciate your guidance or if you know who could help me with this.
Thank you for your time.
April 27, 2022 at 21:40
If you are sure you won’t get an embassy appointment, then send the AOS fee to KCC and once you get the receipt, file your I-485 package.
May 3, 2022 at 20:31
1) I wanted to give you an update in case it helps someone else. I sent another inquiry 2 weeks after sending my DV Payment Fee and got the following response:
https://forums.immigration.com/attachments/1651540306832-png.3456/
I don’t know if it really means that I’ll be able to do AOS, since my DS-260 is unchanged, but at least is better than the first response. So I’ll continue the process hoping there’s no issue.
2) SA has now reached 1678 visas between Ready, Issued and Refused. How close is SA to its quota? What happens then, do they stop sending 2NL? Should I be worried about quotas going the AOS route?
Thank you so much for your help Simon!
May 3, 2022 at 21:33
1. This is not really a “permission” to do AOS, but rather an indication that because you paid the fee, they would no longer process your DS260.
2. In the CP process, visas are pre-allocated to cases when they send the 2NL (in fact, just before that point). So yes, we must be getting close to visas being fully allocated. However, they can re-cycle visas for refusals, AP and now shows at the end of each month. That may help you. But in the end the AOS case must be approved and a final step is drawing a visa from IVAMS, which is updated with visa availability. There is a chance that visas would NOT be available. The only way to mitigate that risk is by doing the AOS as early as possible.
April 25, 2022 at 21:23
Hi,
How are you doing Britsimon?
I have a question about one question on DS260.
Q: Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law?
To which I answered as below:
NO
I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A LETTER FROM IMMIGRATION ORGANIZATIONS OF US ABOUT STARTING THE HEALTH EXAM AND VACCINATION YET.
Questions:
Is this is proper answer or should I change it by opening (unlock) my application? Or will it affect my case processing time?
Or do you think KCC will expedite my case with this answer?
Should I answer to the question “yes” and I will have all the documents ready by the appointment date?
Thanks
Best regards,
Bobur Murodov
April 27, 2022 at 21:39
Your answer is fine.
April 25, 2022 at 18:42
Hi Simon
My daughter have DV2022 interview on 1st week June-2022,
Also her name in F4 family visa category as benificiary dependent, F4 petition still in NVC, PD don’t become current yet in 2nd chart visa bulletin filling date.
Só, I have questions, when she go for interview, she need to tell visa officer, I have another file at NVC.
Pls give me reply
Thanks
April 27, 2022 at 21:39
She can mention it, it won’t cause any problem.
April 25, 2022 at 16:04
Do you provide private consultations? If so, how can I get an appointment. Thank you!
April 27, 2022 at 21:38
No. I answer questions here in public so that the answers can benefit more than one person. I also don’t charge any fees or whatever since this is not my profession.
April 25, 2022 at 07:22
Hi Brit! You helped my brother alot while he was processing his DV loterry back in 2016 and he cant just thank you enough for that! Now, It’s my turn as I got lucky in 2022 program.
My case is 2022AF49xxx, should I be expecting 2NL in May or June based on the pace we are seeing? Also, I submitted my DS-260 back in September and also Documents at the same month (although its not required now). Im just afraid if I missed anything because cases above mine received 2NLs already (Although in different embassy… mine is in Qatar).
My question is, could it be that i didnt complete the submission process, or that its normal given my case number?
April 27, 2022 at 21:16
I’m glad to have helped your brother, I hope he is doing well.
This year is a mess. Many people won’t get their chance, it’s a lot to do with which embassy you are assigned to and whether there are a lot of people waiting in front of you. All you can do is keep your fingers crossed.
April 28, 2022 at 06:38
Thanks Brit. I’m ready to accept if my case is not due before September. But I just wanted to know if I’m missing anything. My DS-260 form says COMPLETED as I submitted already back in September. I also submitted documents but didn’t receive DQ email. I heard documents are not required anymore but then some others say they are DQed. What’s your view on that sir?
May 2, 2022 at 03:36
DQ is NOT dependent of submitting documents, documents are not needed.
April 25, 2022 at 06:55
Hello Brit,
I’ve read that the I-551 stamp will loose it’s validity if the passport expires or cancelled (upon renewal)
I plan to activate my issued DV2022 visa in july, but I must return to my current country for a few months (until my current job contract ends).
1) I plan to renew my passport in my country, if I renew it after activation, will the I-551 stamp become invalid because it’s on a cancelled passport?
2)Should I renew it Before the activation trip, will the stamp be placed on the new passport or on the old one next to the MRIV?
3)If on the new passport it will stay valid for 1 year?
3l4)Will this allow me to reenter to the USA without the actual plastic green card?
Thank you
April 27, 2022 at 21:14
1. No.
No need to answer other questions.
April 28, 2022 at 06:38

April 25, 2022 at 04:48
Hello Brit
I have a question
For AOS one should prove the legal status in the US
I assumed that USCIS was able to retrieve all info from other agencies and I was not aware that I had instead to provide positive proof.
However, I have an history that goes back to the early 2000s and I did not retain all copies of I-94.
In most of the cases (except a handful), the I-94 expiration is reported on the stamp, along with the admission date.
However, there are instances where the date is not there. How may I retrieve these records? How far back? (Prior 2013 they were not even electronic).
Thank you
April 25, 2022 at 00:17
Hi Simon,
I had completed my DS260 application file for myself (Applicant), Spouse and 2 child’s, revived 4 individual a confirmation email. what next
April 25, 2022 at 04:49
You have to wait for the DS260 to be processed, and then to be scheduled for an interview. However, there are many problems with the program this year so you might not get an interview (it depends on your embassy).
April 25, 2022 at 09:38
Hi Brit, I’m DV-22 winner case EU22xxx from Italy.
Although my number is current I haven’t received the 2NL yet.
I’ve a question regarding my PASSPORT. Since expires in November 2022, by the time I hopefully get to the interview, its validity would be less than 6 months.
Can you please advise on what is best to do?
1. Bring the passport I used for the application though with less than 6 months validity.
2. Make a new passport and bring copies of the old one in order to show the information I used for the DS-260.
Thank you very much!!
All best

Hello Brit,
Thank you for a sublime job that you are doing for the people. Highly appreciate it.
Wanting to know I have received my 2NL and been scheduled for an interview However I have not received any instructions as to what to submit or take to the interview. I am at bit of panic mode since I have no idea of what the requirements maybe.
Please advise what all shall I gather and how soon will I receive the instructions?
April 25, 2022 at 04:50
There are full clear instructions you were already given. You must read and follow them.

Hi Britsimon
I’m 2022OC23xx and selected Sydney as my interview location being from there. Some people on the immigration forums are saying that its best to change to Fiji for interview location since their willing and have been processing Australian DV selectees.
I know it might be hard for you to say, do you think it’d be best for me to change to Fiji or potentially wait it out in the hope Sydney will reopen. If I was to change to Fiji, I don’t have any friends/relatives there so would have to stay in a hotel. Would this matter to the embassy people in Fiji.
April 25, 2022 at 04:42
If I were in your position I would probably go to Suva, but you must decide for yourself.
April 24, 2022 at 15:00
Hello Simon ,
I’m scheduled for interview on 6.6.22 AS146** , I have two questions
1. I received my birth certificate document from my government , my mothers last name before she got married is misspelled on the certificate , the name that I put on the ds260 is the correct one but they are not the same as the one on the certificate , should I change ds260 now to the one on the birth certificate even though it is not correct or just inform on the interview?
2. during the time since we sent the DS260 my wife received a Portugal passport (we are not from Europe) should Inform this information in the interview or change in the DS260?
Thanks
April 25, 2022 at 04:41
1. Correct it at the interview.
2. At interview is fine.
April 24, 2022 at 11:41
Hi Brit,
Hope you are doing great. I am a DV 2022 selectee from AS and my CN is 25*** from UAE. I have submitted my DS 260 in Aug, 2021 and my case is still at KCC. At the time of submission of DS 260 I was in Pakistan because of my nationality and family based there, therefore, I selected Islamabad embassy for interview. As I am now in Hungary for my studies but my family/derivatives are in Pakistan. Please guide me on 2 x questions:
1. Firstly, is it a good option for me to unlock my DS 260 and change my interview place from Islamabad to Budapest, Hungary because Its relatively slow process in Islamabad. Or I shall wait.
2. Secondly can I appear alone at interview in Hungary while changing my place in DS 260 while rest of my derivatives are in Pakistan ? Is this a good idea that I shall move my all derivatives to Hungary and appear at interview there.
Kind response is awaited.
Regards,
April 25, 2022 at 04:40
1. You have to decide this for yourself. I cannot advise you.
2. If you want your derivatives to get a visa you should have them attend the interview with you.
April 24, 2022 at 10:24
Hello Brit, from OC current ready for scheduling and no longer with KCC as per email I received from them. I am trying to understand if I was current in April and all processed received note from KCC to say I am now ready for scheduling should I expect that the 2nl comes after the month of April being the month I was current? I have been listening to your videos and you say they should come out over weeks after bulletin but I am not sure if you are referring to the month we find ourselves current in? I was advised I was ready a for scheduling in March. I am trying to understand why I haven’t received that 2 no. Thanks very much for your help.
April 25, 2022 at 04:29
Well firstly Sydney are not scheduling any cases at all if you are in Aus. However, in general there is a mess and many people are finding they are waiting. Embassies are not all scheduling well enough, so many people will miss out.
April 24, 2022 at 04:31
Hi . Soon the release of the dv2023 results. Each country will not have more than 7%. How is the calculation done. For example a country that has 320,222 qualified registrants. this country will have how many winners
April 25, 2022 at 04:28
You completely misunderstand the process. The countries are all together within a region. The chance is essentially the same accross the region, so if a country has more entries they will natuarlly get more selectees. But the 7% cap is applied later in the process.
April 25, 2022 at 04:49
I understand . now if a country at 672 selected including . And we know that each country will not have more than 7%. How many selected will have the Visa. How to do the calculation?
April 24, 2022 at 00:19
Hi Mr Brit,
Did something happen to the guy that updates Save Diversity Visa website? It hasn’t been updated since 4/19.
April 25, 2022 at 04:26
Frank has been travelling – he’ll be back online tomorrow.
April 23, 2022 at 19:12
Hello Brit! My name is Anna and first of all I would like to thank you for all the great work and dedication to all of us. For me and my wife it has been an amazing journey since we knew I was a selectee for DV2022. We are having an interview in June thanks to you…we have asked you some questions before and you kindly answered them, here are two more if you don’t mind:
We are from Cuba but since October we are living in Costa Rica.
1- We have bachelors degree, both of us and I know it is sufficient just to show for the main applicant but the question is: if we have the original document, does it need to be legalized by our country? We cannot find that information nowhere in the official US website.
2- We filed out the DS 260 in December and we were living in one rent and we changed our rent this month. It is in the same province as the last address we put in the DS 260. How should we notify this to the embassy? The same day of the interview?
Thank you so much in advance Simon!
April 25, 2022 at 04:25
1. Not normally, but follow the embassy specific instructions. If it does not say anything, then it is not needed.
2. At the interview, yes.
April 23, 2022 at 00:21
Hi Simon,
My number is OC2XXX, I was planning to apply via AOS in the US as I’m here on an 03, but won’t be able to apply until June because I have travel that I can’t avoid. But now I hear people are getting visas in Suva. Do you think it’s likely visas will run out if I wait until June to apply here via AOS? And what do you think would be more likely to be successful? Applying here via AOS or trying to travel and get it in Suva or elsewhere?
April 25, 2022 at 04:24
I find it hard to believe they are suddenly going to have so many interviews that they reach the quote, but it’s your call of course. As for Suva or AOS – well again, that’s a critical decision – which you must take for yourself.
April 22, 2022 at 16:01
Mr simon
I am DV 2022 winner.
German police certificate issued with the german language.
DO I have to translate it to the English ?
Thank you
.
April 25, 2022 at 04:21
You should have read the instructions. If you had, you would have read that translations of documents are not needed for documents in English OR the official language of the country where you are interviewing.
April 22, 2022 at 15:39
Hello Brit
I am a DV22 winner. I had my interview more than 2 weeks ago and the CO congratulated me for the visa. I am checking my status everyday and it was ready till today it changed to administrative processing. I checked my email and found nothing. Can you help me with an explanation?
April 25, 2022 at 04:20
You simply have to be patient.
April 22, 2022 at 12:04
Hello Brit
Yesterday I attended my interview and the consular officer issue my visa and stated a date I should return to collect my visa.
But my CEAC information is still showing AP from yesterday,
I’m a little bit worried about it
What does this mean?
April 25, 2022 at 04:20
It’s normal. Relax and be patient.
April 22, 2022 at 02:18
Hello Simon,
I sent an email to the US embassy in Riyadh asking them to reschedule my interview from the 6th of June to any day between the 5th and the 30th of July. 2 mins later I got this email back.
“Due to COVID-19, please note that the Department of State suspended routine visa services globally in 2020. We have resumed services at U.S. Embassy Riyadh and contact individual applicants as we reach their cases in the queue. We are unable to provide expected dates when specific cases will be scheduled for interview.”
What does this mean exactly?
April 22, 2022 at 03:05
Hello. Are you AS Region. This means probably they do not have enough slots. Don’t take the risk of changing the interview date. Can I know ur CN & ds-260 submission date.
April 24, 2022 at 23:40
Exactly what is says. It’s very clear.
April 21, 2022 at 22:18

Hello mr simon
I am a 2022 diversity lottery winner (CN: AF50k).
I heard that filing a lawsuit can cost you the chance of being scheduled for a visa interview.
I would therefore like to know if this is true?
April 24, 2022 at 23:37
No it is not true.

Hi Simon:
Do you think moving my interview from Djibouti to Bahrain will make them process my DS faster?
Do you know which empassy is working better?
April 24, 2022 at 23:32
I don’t know what your best chance will be.

Hi Simon,
It looks like Fiji sent out a lot of 2NL’s yesterday. Between the cases for OC that are already issued and the vast number that are now ‘Ready’ from those 2NL’s does this put OC close to already reaching its quota or am I looking at this wrong?
Thanks
April 24, 2022 at 23:32
No, not close to exhausting the visa quota.

Hello Sir. Please good day. I went for my interview today at Accra, Ghana. I was asked where I went to school and the person who helped me in the entry. I answered truthfully. The CO asked why the preparer didn’t do some and I said I have no idea. He took my passport and refused me visa and put me on administrative processing. Please what does it mean. Thanks
April 24, 2022 at 23:30
It is a temporary refusal, they might still decide to issue your visa or make the refusal final.

Hi Mr. Simon Good day to you. I have submitted my DS 260 and number is current since May. I hear that the cases are scheduled according to DQ date. My question is that I have listed my educational qualifications from grade 4 as I have read it so somewhere (excluding my grade 1-3 education). I included my secondary and high school education as per the education of our country which qualifies passing out from Highschool at grade 12. Now I realized that from grade 4-12 there are no 12 years education to show. Will this affect the DQ status? I know that I can’t request unlocking at the moment. What should I do? If I do not DQed at KCC level, is there a possibility that such cases would never get a call for the CP interview? I know the main criteria are age and education. I wonder whether they remove cases by KCC at the DQ level and if so, do I have to send the document of proof now? Thank you very much. Just wondering what to do now.
April 28, 2022 at 04:55
Grrr. Make you questions clear and numbered.
April 28, 2022 at 05:35
Dear Mr. Simon,
I am sorry for not explaining myself well. I will try to rephrase.
I heard that 12 years of education with high school diploma is mandatory to qualify for DV. In our country the education system starts from Gr. 1 -Gr 12 (12 years) with Highschool exit.
I have listed education from Grade 4 to Gr. 12 and now I find that it does not short a total of 12 years since I have not listed grade 1-4.
1. Will I be DQed?
2. Will this affect the initial DQ process at KCC?
3. Of course if my DS 260 gets DQed, I can show the proof at Consular level at the interview. But If I am not DQed at KCC level, will I get to interview stage at Consular?
4. I am asking since the Case is current from May.
Thank you for your help Mr. Simon.

1. KCC do not check your education
2. No
3. See 1

Dear Simon,
I am a DV22 winner with EU18K from Tirana, Albania. I have submitted my DS on 11 May, and got DocReq email in August. Document sent but no confirmation till they removed the DocRequest procedure, also my DS260 is processed based on KCC response. Till now i haven’t got any 2NL.
My question are related to my status change: Last month i have received my Immigration Visa from CANADA (an application which i started before winning the DV). I am still waiting for any DV22 response before moving to Canada and validate my PR.
My question are:
– Should i change anything in the DV260, stating this new visa i got from Canada (I dont have a Permanent Resident status yet)?
– Looking the case numbers processing and slow movement in Albania, till now have got 2NL only 300 cases out of 1200 (500visa from 2300visa), can it be wise to go in Canada first, and request a embassy change to Montreal?
thank you

Hi Brit,
I activated in February for a week. I am now back in my homecountry (and working same job) and prepare many things for my move. Initially I planned to be fully ready in summer, maybe it will be fall tough. does it matter at all if I am more than 6 months away as long as it does not take me a full year to fully settle in the U.S.? thanks!
April 24, 2022 at 23:28
No problem.
April 20, 2022 at 05:46
Hi Brit… hope you doing well …
I have just been scheduled for interview next month. I have few questions in regards to the interview.
1. Will the Principal Applicant get disqualified if the derivative does not attend the interview?
2. Can the Principal application attend the interview without the derivative since the derivative will join later in few years?
April 24, 2022 at 23:27
1. Not normally, no.
2. Yes
April 19, 2022 at 21:25
Hi Simon – my nephew is processing through Johannesburg. AF169xx. I see in the data that numbers much higher than his are marked as “ready”. Why is that happening? does it have anything to do with the date they sent in the DS260? Anything one can do about it? Appreciate all you do. Thanks!
April 24, 2022 at 22:05
Some cases submitted the DS260s earlier OR their DS260s took less time to process.
April 19, 2022 at 18:38
Hi simon firs i want to say THANK YOU, Here are my question
1) KCC’s interview scheduling is confused me a lot. Are they working based on DQ date or prioritize cases which have been DQed by the old document procedure and on the line of queue ?
2) KCC sending 2nls for Addis Ababa’s embassy cases most of them are submitted on MAY and lower CN’s max of 18k NO high CN. What do you say about this type of scheduling?
3. Is there any hope for High Case number in Addis like other embassies .
April 24, 2022 at 22:04
1. People are getting very confused. Processing of DS260s could be ordered based on what KCC wants to do to prioritize cases. So – if they have an embassy with capacity they could prioritize that way, or they could be working on CN order, or date submitted. However, cases are *scheduled* based on DQ date order.
2. Normal
3. I don’t know.

Dear Brit,
I am DV 2022 winner with case number 2022AF147** from Ghana, I got married on December 2021 so i unlock my DS 260 and included my wife and submitted it on 12 December 2021, my case was current on febuary 2022 but i haven’t recieved any mail from KCC. I email KCC and they send me this
Thank you for your inquiry.
Your DS-260 has been processed. You should have received, or will soon receive, an email from the Kentucky Consular Center giving you instructions to complete in order for your case to continue processing. Please follow the instructions in the email. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing. Please refer to the visa bulletin at travel.state.gov to locate the current numbers being processed. This bulletin is updated after the 15th day of each month. Once an interview date has been scheduled, you will receive notification via email to check dvprogram.state.gov.
Please comply with the instructions provided on the website http://www.travel.state.gov
what does this means.
April 24, 2022 at 22:00
Exactly as it says, that your DS260 is processed, but of course you now have to wait to be scheduled.
April 19, 2022 at 11:51
Hello, I’m the winner in 2020. But I didn’t send ds260 because of future visa applications. If the court decides positively for us. Can I be between those 9095. Thanks
April 24, 2022 at 21:59
There are more than enough people waiting, with DS260s processed and even scheduled to fill those 9095. So no.

Hey Brit, I was born in England (non eligible country) but my parents were born in New Zealand (eligible country), so I have applied for the lottery with New Zealand as my native country.
I’m wondering how one is to prove that their parents were only living in the country temporarily? They moved to London to work and travel round Europe for a few years (they have Irish passports through my grandparents) then moved back home just after I was born. I’m worried that since they didn’t have a temporary job transfer from NZ that I may not qualify as a child of parents who were only living there ‘temporarily’? Is them moving to the ineligible country with the intention to move back enough to pass as living there temporarily?
Thanks!
April 24, 2022 at 21:58
Every situation is different, so you will have to decide what you can show as proof. However, they might be able to show they rented or purchases a home back home, took jobs, sent you to school – use your imagination.
