Hi
Thanks for your advice, Please finally I have one question which bordering me, I completed Senior High School,
The following are my Senior High School exams results, I got good grade in all my exams results except Core Mathematics, I got (E8 – Pass) which was the only week grade
In Core Mathematics I got (E8 – Pass) and all the subjects, I got (B2 – Very Good), (B3 – Good) and (C4 – Credit)s etc
Please I want to know getting (E8 – Pass) in Core Mathematics, will it affect my visa chances, as that was the only week grade among all my Senior High School exams results
Again Thank for your prompt response

Do you realize that there are people from nearly 200 countries here – each with different education systems. I cannot judge your case – especially as I don’t even know your country – but also I don’t track all the countries education requirements.
April 25, 2020 at 15:59
so if I attached my document and send it again, will it affect or delay my interview selection process as my CN is AF38xx which is in March 2020 DV Bulletin
April 25, 2020 at 17:32
No delay.
April 25, 2020 at 15:23
I submitted my Dv 2020 document for processing in 02. February 2020,
My CN is AF38xx which is in March DV Bulletin
I just check the status and KCC said my document is not registered on the system and I should attached my document and sent if gain,
Can I ask a father in Europe to send the document on my behalf as the speed of my broadband is very slow.
April 25, 2020 at 15:37
It doesn’t matter who sends it.
April 25, 2020 at 10:23
Sorry for some really dumb and newbie question, but.. What is 2NL ?…
April 25, 2020 at 14:15
Interview schedule. Reading the FAQ would help avoid newbie questions.
April 21, 2020 at 05:58

April 21, 2020 at 05:32
HI BRIT
Trump has temporarily suspended immigration to the United States So the Lottery 2020 will be canceled or extended? Plz answer me
April 21, 2020 at 05:34
Let’s wait for the Executive Order rather than jumping to conclusions based on a tweet.
April 21, 2020 at 03:23
Hi Brit,
How does it work if you are allowed to leave the US as an LPR for 1 year, but must spend at least 6 months within the country? For example, I moved over permanently last September and have been living in the US since (apart from 3 weeks over Christmas/Jan) and returned to Australia early this March, when would I need to go back to ensure no issues? Thank you
April 21, 2020 at 04:19
There is no rule on the time you need to spend in the USA.
April 21, 2020 at 05:10
Thanks Brit, so that means I have a year from March to go back?
April 21, 2020 at 05:25
12 months.
April 21, 2020 at 05:34
Thanks for your work mate, you’re a life saver & greatly appreciated.
April 20, 2020 at 17:29
Where is the visa bulletin ?????……
April 21, 2020 at 02:38
Patience.
April 20, 2020 at 07:52
Hello brit,
Am CN AF359XX I’ll just want to know if there can be negative consequences on case of a single girl who get pregnant after documents confirmation and before medical examination?
Is she going to have difficulty during interview about that?
April 20, 2020 at 15:25
No.
April 18, 2020 at 01:32
I already sent the 260 and I got the letter of the intensity to make a change of status and I paid the $ 330 I already filled out the I 485 I don’t know when to send it
April 18, 2020 at 03:33
You cannot file your I-485 until your case number is current. So – watch the visa bulletins.
April 18, 2020 at 01:27
Good evening Mr Brit … you know with all this I am totally disoriented I do not know what steps I should follow I am Dv2020SA37xx I live in Orlando I have a student visa to this date I do not know what would be the procedure to follow?
April 18, 2020 at 03:32
There is nothing to do unless your number becomes current, which is at risk right now. .
April 17, 2020 at 22:58
Hi Brit
In you opinione why they decided to postpone the announce of 2021 winners?
Could be the reason That they did it to give more attention to DV2020 once everything goes back to normal, instead of starting to deal with dv2021 selectees (for example with their DS-260 form etc)?
Because I saw that the beginning of interviews is still 1 of October so I don’t understand the reason of that.
Thanks
April 17, 2020 at 23:46
That could be one reason, and it will certainly help. But whether that is the reason or not – we don’t know.
April 17, 2020 at 22:56
Do you think the VB will be released on Monday? I don’t know what to expect anymore…
April 17, 2020 at 23:44
Wait and see….
April 17, 2020 at 21:12
Just read from travel-state dept twitter that the results of dv 2021 will be postponed from 5 of May to 6 of June.Any comments about this Brit?

We are postponing the opening of the Entrant Status Check for DV-2021 applicants to June 6, 2020. The delayed opening will not negatively impact our ability to pre-process and schedule DV-2021 interviews, which are scheduled to begin on October 1, 2020.
April 17, 2020 at 22:48
I have seen that yes. It’s not an official announcement yet, although it is from a reliable source, so I do expect it to be confirmed in the coming days.
April 17, 2020 at 19:23
It is so difficult not to lose hope …..
April 17, 2020 at 19:03
Wow there is no Bila bulletin
18 will be Saturday and they don’t post on a week end
It was never before after 18
Wow
Will they even release it this month. ?!???
April 17, 2020 at 22:48
Relax.
April 16, 2020 at 18:55
Visa bulletin for June will be delayed and may be regressed so there number will not increase. Many will lose interviews this fiscal year.
April 17, 2020 at 09:52
Too much negative for one comment.
April 16, 2020 at 05:19
They didnt publish VB today, hopefully they gonna publish it soon.
April 16, 2020 at 17:24
Probably tomorrow.
April 15, 2020 at 21:07
Hi BritSimon
I am stying in US with a visa while waiting for the embassy reopen for an interview. I am kind of wondering if I should change my interview process to applying for Adjustment of Status so that I could get it in the US when the number becomes current. Do you think this is a good idea?
Thank you in advance for your response.
April 15, 2020 at 23:57
It depends. You have to think about when the embassy might open, what your case number is and so on. Right now the Field Offices are also closed.
April 14, 2020 at 19:57
Hi Britsimon,
Can you please try to explain how do you understand this reply I have got from KCC after asking them some questions?
Due to the novel COVID-19 outbreak all interviews for the DV program have been suspended, it is undetermined when scheduling will resume.
Please monitor http://www.travel.state.gov for any updates and contact your DV embassy/consulate if you have additional questions.
undetermined when scheduling will resume:
1- Do you think that if the pandemic crisis or the world lockdown went beyong the fiscal year which September 30. 2020, can the interviews still be scheduled?
2- Am I able to contact my embassy even if I still don’t have the interview schedule?
Thank you in advance for your response.
April 14, 2020 at 21:09
1. No.
2. No – the embassy won’t know anything about you until the interview is scheduled.
April 14, 2020 at 17:10

April 14, 2020 at 14:32

April 13, 2020 at 22:04
Dear Brit,
do you have any news regarding the DV 2020? Are you planning other videos?
Thanks,
April 13, 2020 at 22:18
At the moment there is no news – we are just waiting…
April 13, 2020 at 11:10
Hi BritSimon,
I had my Interview on March 11 in Nepal. My visa was approved but my Passport still remain in Embassy and my CEAC status still shows READY . I was in patience but today i came to know some of the friends i know, who had interview on March 11 and March 16 have already got Passport by March 18.
Is this any concerning,as all the Bank and Embassy is closed now…I am not able to contact .
April 13, 2020 at 15:05
Only the embassy can help with this.
April 17, 2020 at 03:03
Hi BritSimon,
Does the process between Visa Interview and Visa being printed on the Passport also called as Administrative Processing.
April 17, 2020 at 04:36
Yes.
April 11, 2020 at 14:17

Thank you so much for your good time
If possible reply my comment.
Stay safe and healthy god bless you
April 11, 2020 at 23:29
No, that is not true.
April 10, 2020 at 01:27
Hi Simon,
I would lije to know if VB will be published this month?
April 10, 2020 at 13:09
It is published every month.
April 8, 2020 at 17:09
Hi Mr. or Mrs. smart pants,
I invite you to schedule an immigrant visa interview, in Oslo. Is this topic about the fashion week in Milano or what?
P.S. I think I have pretty good skills in English, I should have continued ……. Denmark has no embassy that can issue immigrant visas. Is it clear now?
April 8, 2020 at 09:15
So the police certificate in my country is sent directly to the embassy without you getting a copy of it. Do you think that KCC can still contact the embassy these days in order to verify it?
April 8, 2020 at 13:10
No – KCC instruct you to show evidence that you have followed the procedure to apply for the PC.
April 8, 2020 at 15:26
I did, I sent them the request form reciept but I thought they’re checking the actual PC with the embassy
April 8, 2020 at 18:18
No.
April 8, 2020 at 02:17
It is under stable you are anti-Trump. I can see all the blames you put on him.
When he talked about working with China to prevent Corona virus from getting to the US, Pelosi tore the speech at the end nd everyone called her brave.
While others warned, Congress embarked on a futile attempt to impeach Trump. They are not to blame.
The ‘experts’ you say Trump doesn’t listen to, including Dr Fauci said in interviews early in the year that this is nothing to worry about. Many ‘experts’ said the same thing. I don’t blame them. No one knew much about the virus. We still don’t know a lot. But without a lot, people like you and the media already started using the virus to go on an anti-Trump tirade. When he stopped incoming flights from China, people like you and the media berated him and called him racist.
Your experts a few days ago were making dire projections, while Trump offered hope. Today, same experts say the model is changing and predictions are better. Experts earlier said people should not use Ace masks unless they are infected. Few days later experts were encouraging people to wear masks. I still don’t blame them. They just did not know at the time.
Several countries have less cases but more deaths than the US, yet they don’t have a Trump to blame for that.
Most states have done well keeping cases and deaths low working with the Trump administration. New York, with an incompetent governor is the epicenter. I don’t understand how you can blame Trump for that. At the start, they thought they could go the old way by blaming the federal government for their own incompetence, then realized they will have to step up and work with the administration. Experts and democrats have praised Trump’s response so far (minus the people with biases of course).
I obviously respect your opinion on the DV lottery sometimes, but you are letting your biases get the best of you on this one and maybe you should just address the issues without the random display of anti-Trump bias.
April 8, 2020 at 02:52
I’m sorry you don’t have a good grasp of the facts, but quite honestly I don’t have the time or inclination to educate you.
However, as for your comment about what anti trump bias I display – I should remind you that this is my blog, not yours. It’s not a forum. Your opinion on how I should behave means nothing to me. So feel free to keep your opinions, but don’t bother talking to me about them or how I should behave, based on your opinions.
April 9, 2020 at 11:23
Hi Brit
Please i want to know if the dvlottery 2021 draws have already been made. Are they just waiting to publish the winners on May 5th or the random selection of winners by computer still has to be made
April 9, 2020 at 13:22
They will have made the draw already.
April 9, 2020 at 16:04
why the hell you are in here and politicize the page. Go away, there are alot of pple using this blog and Mr Simon helping them the most for nothing. Also i have never seen anything obvious regarding trump or whoever. Leave this blog
April 7, 2020 at 22:45
Hi Brit,
I am from Georgia.
I had my interview scheduled for April 27.
Toray my embassy, Tibilisi, sent me another appointment for 4 June.
I think this is a good news and I wanted share with you!
Thanks
Bye
April 8, 2020 at 02:53
Yes thanks. I’m glad they are rescheduling – although only time will tell how safe it is for them to re-open the embasssy at that time.
April 10, 2020 at 15:23
Dear Aurora,
Could you please tel me your Case number?
This is really good news.
April 7, 2020 at 14:31
Hi!
Tibilisi’s embassy restarted scheduling April’s interviews for Latest days of May and first weeks of June.
April 8, 2020 at 03:19
Let’s hope that continues, and the interviews don’t get moved again.
April 7, 2020 at 13:21
Hello Brit I have a question/- My case number is EU 26*** is there any possibilities to cancel our cases and never get visas ?
April 7, 2020 at 17:36
The visa is not guaranteed – so yes of course there is a risk.
April 7, 2020 at 12:55
I have a question sir,do you think 2021 result will be out?
April 7, 2020 at 17:36
Yes.
April 7, 2020 at 08:50
Hi Mr.Brit,
Good day to you, I am from Myanmar (burma). My family have already embassy interviewed in 9 March 20.But, Consular asked a lot of questions, after that she said your visa is refused by President order. and then she have kept all of our documents and passport. Please kindly help and explain us by your experiences.
April 7, 2020 at 17:32
Your country is on the recent travel ban list, hence the refusal. I don’t know whether that will be lifted or not, but of course the Pandemic further complicates matters.
April 7, 2020 at 01:47
I guess we can keep a closer watch at the embassy’s in Austria and Denmark as the countries are talking about starting to open up stores again slowly after Easter. Might be a guideline for the rest of Europe and for us an idea what is going to happen with the reopening of the embassies 🙂
April 7, 2020 at 11:12
Right! Based on that, we can see how things will develop and evolve.
April 7, 2020 at 12:50
Hei,
Denmark has no embassy. Sweden (Stockholm) operates for all three nordic states: Norway, Denmark and Sweden. Even though Sweden still allows people to go out, and children go to school, the embassy is closed :(.
April 7, 2020 at 16:20
Sweden is one of the smart countries that chose to not implement mandatory lock-down. Don’t count on them.
we just have to wait for the US economy to crash, after 30% unemployment will be a social unrest and they will bend and quickly change their opinions.
How we’ll prove that we’ll be not a public-charge in such economy, I have no idea.
April 8, 2020 at 03:18
Hmmm – that “smart” country is about to implement tighter social distancing measures, and now expects to see a dramatic increase in deaths. And that is in a small sparsely populated country (~60 people per square mile versus NYC at 26k people per square mile). Not sure I’d call that smart.
April 7, 2020 at 16:24
Huh? of course there’s an embassy. Both in Denmark and Norway. How did you come up with this ridicolous piece of information?
Regarding the closure in Sweden – well all embassies were closed centrally by DoS so it doesn’t seem related to the situation in the specific country at the moment…
April 8, 2020 at 03:03
It seems like such a simple thing to go check the embassy webpage before telling someone their comment was ridiculous.
The Norway embassy website says this:
Immigrant visas to the United States are processed for citizens and residents of Norway at the U.S. Embassy in Stockholm, Sweden.
And Denmark Website says this:
All immigrant visa and diversity visa interviews and adjudications for residents of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden take place at the U.S. Embassy in Stockholm, Sweden.
April 8, 2020 at 06:54
I didn’t say the DV interviews are conducted in those embassies, just that there ARE embassies in Norway and Denmark, unlike what the OP said.
April 8, 2020 at 13:05
I understand, but it was clear what she meant – right? Remember, not everyone has perfect English skills.
April 7, 2020 at 16:00
Well yeah – but it will be a “long range” view and therefore inaccurate – meaning they might schedule interviews then have to cancel them again.
April 6, 2020 at 23:40
Dear Brit,
Are all the US embassies totally controlled by USCIS related their closing period?
I mean… here in Italy the Covid-19 situation is going to decrease and probably our government will give the opportunity to the public offices to reopen in the next few weeks, with some prescriptions due to limit the spread of the virus (as the maximum people allowed to stay inside an office, etc…).
Does the US embassy (Italian one) must stay closed for USCIS guideline even if in Italy the situation will be more safe? Or the embassy can choose to reopen by his internal risk assessment?
Thanks,
Lorenzo
April 7, 2020 at 01:07
USCIS do not control embassies. DHS does.
We don’t know whether DHS will leave that to the embassies or not.
April 6, 2020 at 00:19
To all guys of Dv 2020. Who have missed their visa appointments. Just hope and hope. What I know is you may or may not get visas for the period the embassy has been closed.
Brits is right we just have to wait and see. This has nothing to do with Trump or anyone. Am just so leaning that US department of state won’t change its laws on DV interviews
April 6, 2020 at 02:12
Embassies will open right after May 15th. Overheard that today from one of the foreign embassies employees in US.
You are joking about Trump right? The guy is mentally unstable
April 6, 2020 at 04:24
Please stop posting nonsense. OBVIOUSLY, no one can predict the date for embassies to reopen as it depends on the pandemic.
April 6, 2020 at 06:16
the defeat date is set to Sept 30th.
My source is 100%.
Keep your videos not too grim and realistic and if you skip your naive political views it will be something that I would watch.
Once this is over and if I make it I’ll do a lot of Quora. See you there!
April 6, 2020 at 13:56
Your source is 100% idiot.
I really don’t care if you watch or not, but please stop saying idiotic things.
April 7, 2020 at 16:12
Idiot? how do you know? He is a consular officer in one of the foreign embassies in LA.
I am not here to offend you or anyone. just a very frustrated person who might lost a year in this process.
April 8, 2020 at 03:08
I know he must be an idiot because only an idiot would try and predict the date when all embassies will reopen. ESPECIALLY since he is not even a DHS employee, and cannot possibly know the situation in each place around the world. Or perhaps you just misunderstood….
We’re all frustrated – I get that. But spreading idiotic information doesn’t help.
April 5, 2020 at 22:40
Hello Simon,
Iam Dv lottery winner 2017,My question is regarding for benefits.
1- Due to this epidemic situation of Corona virus many people were lay off and others reduced working hours.
But people are applying for EMPLOYMENT DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT(EDD) for the benefits,
Since iam Dv Lottery winner and still on green card (permanent resident) not yet a USA citizen,
1-Iam supposed to apply for EDD??
2-If apply EDD will not affect me to become a USA citizen due to that benefits??
Hoping to hear from you.
Thank you.
April 6, 2020 at 00:28
1. I have no idea.
2. I don’t know.
April 5, 2020 at 22:19
Hi Simon,
You mentioned in video that everyone should send their tax return even if they did not worked in US in 2019.
I came to US in 2019. but started my first job in January 2020 so do i have to file my tax return too?
I need to include my income from other country I used to live?
I am a bit confused about this.
Thanks
April 5, 2020 at 22:34
Basically yes. But I am not a tax accountant so I don’t know what your tax return will include. But as you were an LPR in 2019, you need to file a return.
April 5, 2020 at 11:00
Thank you for this post BritSimon.
Hope everything will calm down in coming months and risk to lives will subside.
April 5, 2020 at 09:37
Dear Brit,
Thanks for your support in this very hard situation.
I’m from Italy CN: 2020EU27xxx (current in may).
I’ve received my confirmation email (related supporting documents) on 13th of March and I saw my current status in the visa bulletin published on March (the 15th).
In your video I’ve understood that KCC will continue to sent the 2NLs… shall I expect my second letter within the end of this month? Maybe without any date for the interview or with the interview scheduled in June or July…
Thanks,
Lorenzo.
April 5, 2020 at 15:22
At this point we don’t know what to expect. We don’t know if the embassies will reopen. WE don’t know how the cancelled interviews will be rescheduled, so we certainly don’t know what cases will receive the 2NL in April, if any. Wait and see.
April 4, 2020 at 18:47
I don’t understand why people are behaving this way, just look at the way Americans are dying of this pandemic disease instead of you guys to pray so that God will have mercy on the whole world, you guys are just disturbing Britsimons with questions. Please let us all pray for America so the the situation there will subside I believe in Gods own time we will all have our time of interview.Thank you.
April 4, 2020 at 17:34
Thank you for this post, much appreciated!
April 5, 2020 at 01:59
I think you got some parts right and some worng. Trump went from no tests at all to test all of them just to prove that is just a flu. And yes, everyone reported fake numbers. In China probably millions were sick. In US what are the numbers.10 million? But one thing you can’t fake is the deads. So more they test the less this pandemic is deadly.
My question is: is Trump has authority to create a big delays to screws up?
April 5, 2020 at 04:15
There is still nowhere near adequate testing, so your point makes no sense.
As for your question – I don’t know what you mean.
April 5, 2020 at 05:19
If you want an adequate testing then there is no such thing as a pandemic. Millions are already sick so your dead rate is not even close to the flu(it’s way below). Also, there are no freezer trucks piling the deaths in NYC. No media can fake this.
My question is, with all due respect. Trump as we know him, what power does he has besides being Trump? Can this “war” be used to overpower the congress and cancel all the immigration visas and we all get burned? Many on Twitter are angry and tag him to do that.
These are times for power/political grabs as we see all over the world.
April 5, 2020 at 15:17
Well, you are clearly very misinformed. You should read more before you make assumptions, and more still until you tell people THEY are incorrect!
1. The death rate of Flu is well understood – about 0.1%. The death rate of COVID-19 is not yet well understood, nor have we seen anything like a full cycle, but clearly it is higher than 0.1% on an annualized basis. We are only a few months into this and 15k have died in Italy alone. Do the math.
2. Yes there are refrigerated trucks in NY. That is a widely witnessed and referenced occurrence, and has been photographed at NYU Langone Medical Center for instance. I don’t make things up.
3. This isn’t a deliberate war on Trumps part – it’s just a result of him being a moron and not listening to experts. A lot of the failings have been caused by his bad decisions. Obama established a Whitehouse department to fight pandemics. Trump closed that. Trump cut funding for CDC eliminating critical work. Trump blames Obama for the lack of stockpiled equipment – but he’s had three years in office to have addressed that, but instead spent time trying to build the moronic wall. Trump slowed development of testing by bad decisions. Trump caused widespread nonchalance about the virus with stupid and frequent comments playing down the pandemic. That caused more infections. I could carry on. But please understand something. When I say things, you can trust that there is basis behind what I say. I don’t just make stuff up. When I say Trump is an idiot, it isn’t just some partisan feeling – he really is an idiot. When I say a lot of this is his fault – I really mean that too. You are free to contradict me – but if you do, it probably means you don’t understand the topic well enough.
April 5, 2020 at 17:00
Official data from CDC – “Coronary heart disease is the most common type of heart disease, killing 365,914 people in 2017”
Yet we don’t shut down economies because of heart attack deaths.
The current dead rate of COVID-19 is 2.8% in the US and that is for 320k tested positive(which is incorrect) the number of sick people is way higher, it is in the millions. Do your math.
That military ship docked in NYC have 20 patients. The entire COVID-19 is a joke fed by the news which is fed by their political agenda.
Trump will play what the idiots want which is kill the immigration. Bad for us. My question was, does he has the power to do that. Obviously closing embassies without a reason works for him.

Wow, millions are sick?! Where did you get the scientific expertise to know such information? Did you do the testing yourself? Please share your scientific method and findings with the world so we can end all of this and get back to normal.
365,914 people killed because of heart disease? Good thing it’s not contagious, amirite?

Hi,
In your video you said that US embassies around the world are shut down, however, at the website of the U.S. Embassy in Georgia its is written that only “routine nonimmigrant visa appointments” are canceled. As Diversity Visa is an immigrant one, doesn’t it mean that it is possible to be scheduled an interview there?

I have known that one person scheduled for April interview in Georgia , Tibilisi, some days ago contacted the embassy again to ask, and Tibilisi’s embassy rescheduled again his interview for 27 of May.
What do you think Brit? Is this possible ?
April 4, 2020 at 20:48
Well yes – but interviews scheduled can also be cancelled.

They have been closed centrally by the department of state.

USCIS control field offices in the USA, NOT embassies abroad.

Thank you brit
On your video you told that 2NL has been sent to the cases current for May interview. But my case is AS10*** (Nepal). i have already complited Ds260 and send required documents also got document completed notification from KCC. Should i contact KCC for 2NL?
stay safe Brit

Hello I am pretty sure we will not get 2NL due to the fact that all embassy closed. they won’t send out that because severally reason. 1.current issue of pandemic 2. human being life 3. top priority is american life not green card interview. Here is my understanding from all what I have known from the video and previous post.
I am current in april as you can see my case Number and got congratulation from kcc that all document looks good. when I check online status its in NVC. Honestly there no sense that to get interview date on 2NL while no embassy is closed on STATE. GOV OR SUSPENDED. Case NO=2020AF00039***
Atnn:anser to NEPAL!!

No. I also said that those interviews had been cancelled. So you need to wait.
