These video goes into my explanation of when interviews will be scheduled, what effects the immigration ban will have and what you need to do to make sure you get your interview. If you are a DV2020 selectee who has not yet had an interview, please take the time to watch this video.

Hi Brit I am from Nepal I get visa and stop in lockdown.my wife and spouse also get and I am principal applicant .I want to leave my spouse and wife in Nepal few yrs due some reason and after that again can I apply for my spouse and wife again can they get visa
May 17, 2020 at 13:48
Yes
May 16, 2020 at 20:19
Hi Bri
It’s highly controversial, but given Trump pushing for reopening, and him issuing the EO to protect during economic recovery all go in favor of extending the temporary EO, if he can’t get it permanent.. That would be a strong score for the coming election too.
Also, let’s not forget how the supreme court was backing him lately on such cases..
I’d like to ask your own opinion on possibility of EO extension? What do you think?
May 17, 2020 at 05:14
I prefer to wait and see.
May 16, 2020 at 13:43
Hi Brit,
Could you please tell me if a derivative applicant is in the States on another visa, becomes unemployed and applies for unemployment benefits. Would that be considered as public charge for the DV Lottery interview?
May 16, 2020 at 14:22
No.
May 16, 2020 at 00:37
HI BRIT,
Thank u very much for your support.my cse no AS186**.
I want to know is there anyone got 2NL for june month?
I’ m waiting july .
May 16, 2020 at 00:55
No. WE expect 2NLs to go out later this month for July interviews, subject to the ban not being extended and the embassies reopening.
May 15, 2020 at 15:28
Does VB for July release m from Nepal and it’s show error on VB can I know ABT that
May 16, 2020 at 00:23
Wait for that to be corrected.
May 15, 2020 at 09:35
Hey Brit Simon
I have submitted my DS260 and sent documents to [email protected] today
Question:
1) When would be reasonable to inquire if KCC has processed my application and is satisfied with my documents given current rather tight timeline?
Thanks!
D
May 15, 2020 at 13:32
June.
May 14, 2020 at 22:06
USCIS, in coordination with Department of State (DOS), is revising the procedures for determining visa availability for applicants waiting to file for employment-based or family-sponsored preference adjustment of status. The revised process will better align with procedures DOS uses for foreign nationals who seek to become U.S. permanent residents by applying for immigrant visas at U.S. consulates and embassies abroad.
May 14, 2020 at 08:30
Hi Brit
Good day
Is being a final year medical student, preparing for the US Medical Licensing Examination (could mentioned during embassy interview on my plans) be possibly included in the exception of healthcare professionals of the last president’s EO?
I will be graduating this year.
(Just in case the EO was extended)
Thanks
May 14, 2020 at 18:04
No. You are a student that has not yet become a healthcare professional.
May 14, 2020 at 19:54
Not even counted as a researcher on COVID-19 since I am actively involved in relevant local projects ?
May 14, 2020 at 20:40
There is no black or white answer to your question. You are free to try making your point at the embassy.
May 12, 2020 at 22:53
Check this out :
The Trump administration is also expected within the next few weeks to halt the issuance of new work visas such as the H-1B, for high skilled foreigners, and the H-2B, for seasonal employment. The new measures under review, according to two current and two former government immigration officials, would also eliminate a program that enables foreign graduates of American universities to remain in the country and work.
So I see they are closing the country for real, I’m wondering what will happen in June when the ban is about to be lifted.
May 13, 2020 at 02:01
Only time will tell.
May 14, 2020 at 00:21
Hi Mr. Brit
Is there any update from your end for us regarding the ban, I mean whether it will be extended or not?
Thank you always!!!?
May 14, 2020 at 18:02
I don’t know.
May 10, 2020 at 13:41
Hi Brit!
I have a question for you and I’ll be happy having your precious opinion to me as always. If the news that we all heard about, comes trues.I mean if Trump decides to close everything for at least 1 year, this means that there’s no chance for dv2020 anymore but even for dv2021 to.Am I right? Please what do you think about this? I’ll appreciate your opinion as always. Thanks in advance!
May 10, 2020 at 14:07
It’s not worth speculating about something that has not happened.
May 10, 2020 at 00:26
Hey Brit, my interview was canceled in march and so I wandering if the Trumps ban will be prolonged , what will happen in the last 30-40 days DV2020 before 30 of september? Any chance for rescheduling for cancelled interviews?
May 10, 2020 at 01:30
Well obviously that would depend on the extension if any. So – wait and see.
May 9, 2020 at 20:41
Hey Brit
Today I wrote to the lawyer that is suing a lawsuit for us , to have more informations. (I don’t know if I can say his name, however is J.H)
He said me that the lawsuit will be argued on Wednesday 1 pm . But he added that “is a really long shot and I have to try to not get my hopes up”.
What he means?
Why he doesn’t believe in his lawsuit? What’s your opinion?
Thanks
May 9, 2020 at 21:20
I have already explained my opinion. The ban is of little further importance now, because the pandemic already affected the same people for the same time (perhaps longer). So, as long as the EO is not extended, its a non issue.
May 9, 2020 at 20:24
mr brit why usa close green card the now its hard to win and i win and they not allow. why???
May 9, 2020 at 21:18
Your question is inaccurate, but recent changes are because of two things:
1. The pandemic.
2. Our idiot president.
May 9, 2020 at 11:51
2021 How to Succeed
Dv lottery results
May 9, 2020 at 14:10
The results will be available for checking on June 6
May 9, 2020 at 08:55
Hi Brit how’s about AP cases how will they be dealt with After July because the embassy ,as notified me back in March to submit my passport that they were ready to go forward with my case after 90 days on AP ,after rescheduling trough their online website I was Given 14 April 2 o’clock in the afternoon which was later cancelled on 25 due to covid19 do you think I stand a chance? Even if the ban is extended for 60 more days
May 9, 2020 at 14:08
No visas will be issued while the ban is in force. There is no point in discussing about an extension – it hasn’t happened yet. So you would have to wait and see what happens.
May 9, 2020 at 03:28
Hi….more 60 days extend for immigration…I think there is no change for interview or future processs …after more 60days 2020 dv date automatically expire…I think there is no chance for anything…..
May 9, 2020 at 14:04
There is no such extension yet.
May 9, 2020 at 02:41
Hi,can someone win again DV lottery after she misssed the year she won as her case number was so big?Thank you,
May 9, 2020 at 14:03
Yes
May 9, 2020 at 00:29
Hi brit,
I am 2020AF24***, was interviwed at march the 3rd.
I didn’t bring a celibacy certificate, so the officer told me not to worry, I just need to send them by mail (ARAMEX) my passport and my celibacy certificate ASAP.
2 weeks after I dropped my passport and my celibacy certificate at the ARAMEX service and everything was fluid. Usually ARAMEX told it will take around 2 weeks to have my passport back and they would call me to come pick it up.
I am a an ER physician, and they know it.
The Covid-19 crisis closed the embassies the next week after.
I checked their website, they do only emergency services for American citizens, i understand that so I didn’t contact them.
I waited for a call from ARAMEX or a new update from the status check website.
Yesterday, the 7th May 2020. An update in the status check website showed on my case number.
It’s refused, and you told us that “refused ” could mean administrative processing.
I send the embassy an email right away. Explaining how I lacked a document, and upload it my receipt from the mailing service.
I asked them if I was always on administrative processing or refused permanently.
And asked to return my passport if so.
I didn’t want in any way mention in the emails I was an ER physician, because my country needs me right now, and even if I get the Visa. I would leave only for the time of acquiring the green card.
My questions:
– Do you think I was permanently refused? Because it’s the second update of my status after the interview.
– Do you think I did good to contact them, even If it’s not an emergency?
Thanks and keep safe.
May 9, 2020 at 14:02
1. How could I know? The second update means nothing. Nor does the 35th update. Ignore the updates.
2. Sure, why not.
I reality you cannot be issued with a visa until the ban ends – so that means late June at the earliest.
May 8, 2020 at 22:10
Hi Brit , is it possible to win dv lottery for the first time, due to your high case number you were not called for interview and later years passed you applied and win?
May 8, 2020 at 23:18
Yes. But there is no increased chance of winning in later years because of the earlier win.
May 13, 2020 at 12:31
If you say so then its more of human selection than random lottery selection by machine ,I see now anyway *tomorrow never dies* I have faith and trust in God Almighty not in man. Thanks Brit
May 13, 2020 at 13:26
Huh? It is obviously NOT a “human selection”. It is random, and made by computer.
May 8, 2020 at 19:04
Hi Brittany,
Did you get or heard anyone From the DV 2020 who received the 2NL or interview scheduled at this moment?
May 8, 2020 at 20:10
Not for July interviews.
May 10, 2020 at 00:50
Were there any for June?
May 10, 2020 at 01:30
No
May 8, 2020 at 22:02
Sorry man but HIS name is Brit Simon not Brittany. If you would have seen his helpful videos, you would know this. But it’s okay.
May 8, 2020 at 17:49
I learnt that the senate is going to introduce a bill to stop immigration till the emergency situation is over which can last up to one year.which will definitely affect dvprogram.how true is it?
May 8, 2020 at 20:08
Speculation until it happens.
May 8, 2020 at 09:13
Hello brit is it true that the ds 260 is valid for 1 year? I supplied mine on May 24 2019 if so what do I have to do? and if that doesn’t delay me with kcc
May 8, 2020 at 20:00
Doesn’t matter.
May 8, 2020 at 07:49
Hey Simon,
I was so close to getting the esteemed Green Card. Was scheduled for an interview in Sydney, Australia for April 21st – obviously got cancelled.
I have sent an email checking in with the embassy but got the boilerplate response of “we don’t know when we’re going to reopen”. At the moment it’s a lot of fingers crossed.
Given Australia’s condition is better than the US in terms of infections and likely to improve by around late June…What are chances that I’ll get another interview scheduled before the cutt off date in September?
Do you know if my embassy will give priority to interviews chronologically (i.e will they interview people who were cancelled in April before people who became current in June)?
Thanks for all the work you do, especially in these uncertain times.
May 8, 2020 at 19:58
I can’t really guess “the chances” – there are too many unknowns.
About priority – there is no guarantee of priority for cancelled cases, but it may work out that way.
May 9, 2020 at 01:28
Hi William, I am a winner in Australia as well. After the Prime Minister’s address yesterday it looks like embassies may open in the coming days. I am one of the last OC numbers at OC22XX however I submitted my DS260 within 2 hours of the results coming out in May 2019 so if they change the order now everyone is current I will let you know
May 9, 2020 at 01:57
Hi William.i have got email cancel interview on March they said if the embrassy reopen, they will give first priority who was cancelled by embrassy.

May 7, 2020 at 20:32
Hello sir,
Please is it possible to have your video in French?
You know am francophone, a can write English but the way your speaking doesn’t permit me to get you very well.
Am just getting 40% of what you say.
Thanks
May 7, 2020 at 21:54
Sorry – I don’t have the time nor the fluency in French to do that.
May 8, 2020 at 11:16
If you watch BritSimon´s Youtube wideos again you can change the language setting on Youtube, and the video will translate it to French (subtitiles).
May 8, 2020 at 15:54
Please do not ask for this.
YouTube has automatic translation and subtitles.
May 7, 2020 at 11:36
I’m EU 35k.
I have two passports.
I took other passport when I was 19 years old (Im 25 now).
I never lived in that other country, just own their passport.
Do I still need to send them police certificate of that other country (i listed that I have two passports on my DS260) or no need?
May 7, 2020 at 20:03
No.
May 7, 2020 at 11:23
Hi Brit. #AF71***. If the ban is not extended, will the cancelled interviews be scheduled to commence their interviews from 6th June.. Will they soon receive 2nl
May 7, 2020 at 20:02
That is likely to vary by embassy. All I can say is – wait and see.
May 7, 2020 at 08:55
Hi mr brit
I’m African winner from Algeria and my case is 53k
– I submitted my ds on may 14th and send my documents on November , until now I didn’t receive confirmation
– should I send my documents again or wait again ??
Please advice me
Thank you
May 7, 2020 at 18:44
Ask KCC if they are satisfied with your documents.
May 7, 2020 at 07:37
Dear Mr. Brit Simon,
I have one doubt about documents that I need to send to KCC. I was born in and I am citizen of the Serbia. I also have the passport of Bosnia and Herzegovina which I received because I have citizenship of Bosnia and Herzegovina. I never lived in Bosnia and Herzegovina in my life.
My questions is do I need to send police certificate and birth certificate from Bosnia and Herzegovina, beside scanned page of my Bosnia and Herzegovina passport?
Thank you for your effort and help.
May 7, 2020 at 18:42
No
May 7, 2020 at 05:47
Hi Simon,
My interview was scheduled in the very beginning of April, and got canceled due to the situation right now.
I have contacted with the embassy in my country, and they’ve sent me an e-mail and told me “there is no further instruction from the department of state due to the EO, so we can’t give you any information at this moment. Please check out website as soon as we can”.
Does it mean that we just need to wait?
I have also checked the interview appointment site of the embassy, and there is no section that I can choose.
They only have the section for Family based and Hire based immigrant visas.
Your opnion and help is always appreciated.
Thank you and stay safe.
May 7, 2020 at 10:26
Oh my God!
Is that real? So they will not do any interviews until the end of EO?
May 7, 2020 at 18:38
Yes you need to wait. Not every embassy will handle things exactly like that, but it was clear that they cannot issue visas during the ban. The pandemic is also a concern in some embassies.
If you can book an appointment for after June 23rd – grab that.
May 7, 2020 at 00:51
Hello brit I have written to kcc asking for my documents and this was the answer
Thank you for your inquiry.
Records indicate you have submitted a complete and valid DS-260 application for each family member, and you have provided all required documentation to the Kentucky Consular Center. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing. Interviews for the DV 2020 program will begin in October 2019 and conclude on September 30, 2020. Please refer to the visa bulletin at
My case number is SA24**
May 7, 2020 at 18:33
Right – so that means you are ready to be scheduled.
May 8, 2020 at 13:53
Hi Carlos, I’m also SA27 could you please advise when did you get this email?
Thanks 🙂
May 11, 2020 at 21:20
Hello I received it about 2 weeks ago, I received it because I wrote to you asking about my documents
May 7, 2020 at 00:39
Hello Britt. My CN is AF67k. I have submitted the documents in February and I’ve called KCC to check out. They told me that I have to wait for about a month and recall again…
Now while I was checking the documents mail, I have noticed that I didn’t mentioned my name/case number /birth date in the mail. I did just mention the case number in the subject. And all the documents were renamed as you have shown us.. I hope that is not going to be a problem.. Should I resend the documents again?
May 7, 2020 at 18:32
Sounds like you followed the process correctly – so cal back in a few weeks as they suggested.
May 6, 2020 at 22:11
hi brit .what is the kcc phone number?I WILL contact them in order to know if they have received my documents???THANK YOU
May 6, 2020 at 22:37

May 6, 2020 at 17:03
Brit. I’m very anxious, I called to KCC and they told me that they cannot see my documents because they are processing them by numerical order and that it is not my turn yet, despite of the fact of that it is current already ! What should I do? You said that it is not numerical as it is current already. Should I send my documents again?
May 6, 2020 at 19:09
I have also said a number of times that you need to be patient. So be patient for at least 2 to 3 weeks, then contact them again. You don’t need a July interview, August will be fine.
May 6, 2020 at 19:40
So, is it normal that they can’t even tell me whether they have received my documents?
May 6, 2020 at 19:47
Yes. I have described that in the video and previous comments. It is also widely reported by people here.
May 6, 2020 at 15:30
Hi Brit, I have sent an e-mail today to the KCC to ask them if they are satisfied with my documents as the Europe got current and I got this reply:
Thank you for your inquiry.
Your DS-260 has been processed. You should have received, or will soon receive, an email from the Kentucky Consular Center giving you instructions to complete in order for your case to continue processing. Please follow the instructions in the email. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing.
After sending documents to [email protected], you will receive an automatic reply to your email. If there are no attachments, the auto reply explains there are no documents attached to the email. If there are attachments, the auto reply explains we received your email and are currently processing your documents. Please allow time for processing of your documents. Documents are processed in numerical order, based on lottery rank number. Once KCC has processed your documents, we will let you know if anything is missing or if we have received everything needed.
1. Does that mean I could get the 2NL at the end of this month even if I didn’t received the document confirmation e-mail?
2.If I got the first email with the teply of documents processing does that means that they got my documents and don’t have to send them one more time right?
Thank you so much for your help!
May 6, 2020 at 16:42
Can you please tell me your Case Number?
May 6, 2020 at 19:07
This email is NOT saying you are ready for scheduling.
May 6, 2020 at 11:13
Hello Brit! I am EU 279**. Email for confirmation of documents on 10.03.2020. Do you believe that I can be part of 2NL and interview date for me?
May 6, 2020 at 19:03
Well, what email did you get in October – documents received or ready for scheduling. Big difference.
May 6, 2020 at 21:45
Congratulations! Our records indicate that you have submitted all required documentation to the Kentucky Consular Center and are ready to be scheduled for an interview when your case number becomes current. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing.
May 6, 2020 at 22:38
OK – then you have a good chance of being interviewed in July.
May 6, 2020 at 09:48
Hello Mr. Brit
I have received the below email from KCC.
Does it mean that KCC already processed my Documents.
Thank you in advance.
My CN EU54***
Your DS-260 has been processed. You should have received, or will soon receive, an email from the Kentucky Consular Center giving you instructions to complete in order for your case to continue processing. Please follow the instructions in the email. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing. Interviews for the DV 2020 program will begin in October 2019 and conclude on September 30, 2020. Please refer to the visa bulletin at https://www.travel.state.gov to locate the current numbers being processed. This bulletin is updated after the 15th day of each month. Once an interview date has been scheduled, you will receive notification via email to check https://www.dvlottery.state.gov.
In order for the Kentucky Consular Center to assist with inquiries regarding a specific Diversity Visa (DV) case, you must provide the Principal Applicant’s full name, complete case number, and date of birth in the following format (MMDDYYYY) as entered on the original entry. Please remember that the Kentucky Consular Center does not have the authority to tell you whether or not your specific case will be disqualified. Only a consular officer can do that at the time of your visa interview. Do not send any paper documents to the Kentucky Consular Center.
May 6, 2020 at 19:02
No it does not mean that. It means they have NOT processed your documents. Did you sen them correctly.
May 7, 2020 at 03:56
Dear Mr. Brit,
The below email was recieved on December 12, 2019 when I submitted all the required documents.
So, what means this email?
My CN EU54***
Kindly looking for your clarification.
The Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) has received your email and is currently processing your documents. This email address, [email protected], is only used for applicants to provide the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) with documents required to continue processing Diversity Visa applications. [email protected] does not respond to inquiries. If you have any Diversity Visa related questions, please email [email protected] with your case number, complete name, and date of birth, as entered on your original entry.
You should expect an email from KCC in the next 3-6 weeks. If you do not hear from KCC after 6 weeks, please contact [email protected] to confirm all of your documents have been received, and you are ready to be scheduled for an interview.
May 7, 2020 at 18:35
It means you need to wait for a few weeks. Patience.
May 6, 2020 at 08:12
HI BRIT
Im dv lottery winner 2020 my case number As28xxx i complete ds260 in 9 may 2019 and send document on 23 January 2019 .
When do I get 2NL?
May 6, 2020 at 18:57
I don’t know. When they have processed your documents you can be scheduled. You can call and ask about your documents.
May 6, 2020 at 07:39
Hello Brit,
Thanks for all your effort and patience!
Could you please tell whether there are still any chances for the immigration ban to be blocked? Are there any lawsuits coming up?
May 6, 2020 at 18:56
There are lawsuits, but I don’t know whether the ban will be blocked or not – but if you watch my video you will understand why I have said the ban is pretty much a non issue now unless it gets extended.
May 6, 2020 at 04:08
We are very grateful to Mr. Brit Simon for this big charity he is doing to new Americans. Our most significant prayer is that those who were blessed with the DV selection should NOT miss their chances of living the American dream.
We also want to inform those coming to the US in September and December 2020 that the Church (THE SALVATION EMPOWERMENT SANCTUARY-HOUSE OF TESTIMONY) has a place to host 5 people for 2 months until they get a job. Preference is given to couples with children. Get in touch with Rev. Dr. Benz via Whats app +1 701 885 1267. The best is on your side. STAY SAFE!!!!
May 5, 2020 at 16:20
Hi Brit
I send my documents in first week of March. Immediately after sending my documents I received this email.

1. This email says they have received my documents and no need to send my documents again. And still documents are not processed.
Am I correct Mr Brit?
My CN AS 26×××
Thank you v much
May 5, 2020 at 23:59
Well that is what it meant in March, but of course they might have completed them by now.
May 6, 2020 at 05:12
Mr Brit
Thank you v much for the reply.
Yes they might have processed my documents by now. But still I did not receive my document confirmation notification.
1 My matter is still I could get the 2NL even without receiving the confirmation Notification?
Pls give me answer on this matter.
Thank you v much.
May 6, 2020 at 18:52
You can ask KCC again to get an update about your documents.
May 5, 2020 at 15:57
Hi Brit,
So there’s no change for AF62000 (62k) to be interviewed?
Thank you.
May 5, 2020 at 23:58
I did not say anything even close to that statement. Wait and see.
May 6, 2020 at 02:25
Thank you so much for this video Mr. Brit, because I was actually worried. My case became current for the April interview and received a message from that all my documents are processed and my case was ready to be scheduled for interview. We hope and pray hardly the president doesn’t extend the ban.
Thank you so much for giving me hope. My case number is 2020AF39XXX, from Liberia.

I got that mail too. Did you finish your interview?

Hi Brit,
I don’t understand why you are saying that people will receive their 2nl in mid May/end May for July interview, when there are people from March/April/May interviews waiting for rescheduling (2nl already receveid months ago and then interviews canceled by embassies).
If other people will be scheduled for July interviews, when this people will be rescheduled?
Thank you!

Well that depends on capacities. If the embassies are open they can probably handle the rescheduled interviews before July or even at the same time as getting new appointments. Of course there are few if any non immigrant interviews right now. BUT – there could also be a case where an embassy doesn’t have capacity.
ALL of that is in the video…

In Europe many embassies aren’t scheduling interviews because:
1) Restrictions of movement within country due Covid19;
2) Worldwide embassies closure imposed by DoS;
3) Presidential proclamation of March 11 about Schengen Area travel ban;
4) Presidential proclamation of April 22 about immigration ban;
So, it seems that many embassies in Europe won’t schedule interviews until travel ban (hopefully) expires on 22 June.
It means that any new appointment will be scheduled (and communicated) only after 22 June, so for many european selected it seems that they won’t receive 2nl (or previously appointments rescheduling) this month nor in early/mid June.

Hi EU16K,
Would you mind sharing where you got that information from?
Thanks and take care!

Hi Nik,
my info are coming from contacting my embassy that told me that, from other people contacting their embassies and sharing info (same as mine), from Presidential Proclamation 9993, from Presidential Proclamation 9994, from the website of Department of State, from local law and from newspapers.
After that, I assume that will be difficult to see 2nl in this month/mid June for many people in Europe/Schengen Area.
Hope springs eternal, but we also have to cope with reality.
Obviously, we are all together in this and we all hope for the best!

1 through 4 are correct BUT I believe they will schedule interviews with an assumption the embassies will be open – especially in those embassies that have already started to allow some scheduling. If they were to only send 2NLs in July that means September interviews only.
