I’m getting various versions of this question many many times every dat. So let me give some tips here, so that I don’t have to repeat my answers again and again.
First – what should you expect?
KCC will sometimes prioritize processing in case number order. So if your case number is nowwhere near current, they will not be rushing to process your documents.
KCC stopped working at full capacity for some months. During that time I am sure there was a backlog of documents built up, and it ill take some time to work through that backlog. I also believe that more people will have been sending documents in the last month or two since I have been saying that everyone should be sending documents. So you might have done everything right, but because of the backlog, it will still be weeks before your documents are processed. No amount of panicking will help that.
By the way, EVERYONE should send their documents. #SendTheBloodyDocuments
OK, so those things being said here is what you can do if you are still waiting for documents to be processed.
- If your case number is high – be patient. They won’t get to your documents yet. But do read the other tips here below.
- If your case number is low or even current, and you sent your documents less than 2 months ago, Wait.
- If your case number is low or even current, and you sent your documents MORE THAN 2 months ago, so the following.
- Check your documents carefully to see you sent the correct documents – some tips here. I have seen SEVERAL cases where people were convinced they had sent the correct documents, I recommend a change, and within days people get the ready for scheduling email. So many cases are being delayed through not preparing the documents correctly. Take this point seriously, your GC depends on this step!
- You can email or phone KCC and ask them are they satisfied with your documents. Be prepared to identify your case with full case number (including zeros), full principal selectee name and date of birth. Tell them when you sent the documents, what documents you included and so on. Behave professionally, calmly and note what they say.
- Wait a couple more weeks, then try again.
- If needed, resend your documents, again making certain that your full set of documents is attached.
- If you email KCC and they tell you they are waiting for proof of why you did not provide a passport in the initial entry, then answer them. If your answer is that you simply didn’t have time to get a passport before the entry, but were able to do so later, then you are likely not going to get scheduled. Rules matter.
- If you ask KCC about documents you sent and KCC email you and send the email that says “You should have received, or will soon receive, an email from the Kentucky Consular Center giving you instructions to complete in order for your case to continue processing.” It means your documents are not processed yet. Read the tips above, and wait a couple more weeks, then try again. Perhaps phone this time.
- If you get an email that says “Your case number is now current for interview processing. ” that means you are being scheduled right now and can expect a 2NL by the end of the month, assuming the embassy is taking interviews.
So overall, remain calm and realize that you may be causing yourself a problem by not following instructions. But also realize that things will take time. No amount of stressing and running around like a headless chicken will solve your problem. Exercise some patience, and whilst waiting, make sure you have followed these tips, precisely.

Hi Brit, I emailed Montreal embassy in regards to DV interviews and they replied
“The U.S. Consulate General in Montreal is processing immigrant visas and will prioritize Immediate Relative family members of U.S. citizens including intercountry adoptions, fiancé(e)s of U.S. citizens, and certain Special Immigrant Visa applications, as well as other mission critical categories such as medical professionals. We have not yet resumed processing DV-2021 visa applications. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a timeframe to start processing your visa classification.”
My case number is OC18XX, two questions which im sorry if you have answered but i couldn’t seem to find amongst other comments, first is how would this continue to impact me if my number goes current soon? Would i just not get an appointment in Canada? Second question is Can i fly to Sydney for the purpose of the interview? Obviously i would need to contact KCC but would they approve this considering Montreal is closed an is not improving with Covid?
Thanks!
April 18, 2021 at 19:56
If they stay as is you won’t get an interview. So yes – you can preemptively ask to transfer your case to Sydney, or wait to see if Montreal changes.
April 16, 2021 at 13:43
Hi Brit,
1. In my case the passport used by principal applicant to enter the DV-2021 program differs from the currently valid passport. The difference is due to changing the citizenship. We are providing the explanation to KCC accordingly. My question is, should we provide the similar explanation for each derivative as their passports are also different due to changing the citizenship?
We were Indians when we entered DV-2021 program. Now, we acquired the citizenship of other country and surrendered the Indian citizenship. KCC’s email says that they need explanation for principal applicant if passport differs.
Thanks!
April 18, 2021 at 19:49
JUst provide whatever explanation is needed. That isn’t a problem. You will need to show the passport you used to enter. You will also need to show proof of birth country (not India of course).
April 14, 2021 at 11:13
Hi Simon,
I made a small mistake when filling out my mother’s birthdate in the DS-260 form. They have already sent me the 1NL.
Will that be an issue? Should I ask them to make a change?
April 15, 2021 at 03:14
It is not important.
April 13, 2021 at 13:41
Hi Brit good evening,
May I ask as long as my case number is not current yet. can I still change DS -260 ?..doesn’t impact they call me right…My case Number AS20XXX. I have feeling next month will between 16000 – 17000
and kcc has sent me an email about submit document…
April 14, 2021 at 05:22
Usually, yes. But get a move on, time is running out.
April 14, 2021 at 05:34
In my country indonesia possibility they will call me on july, august or september…i have asked unlock yesterday just changed it. As soon as i can…
April 13, 2021 at 13:08
Dear Simon, I sent my documents last week and I just received this email
“Congratulations! Our records indicate that your case is ready to be scheduled for an interview when your case number becomes current and appointments are available. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on region and which case numbers have already been processed.
All DV 2021 interviews must be concluded by September 30, 2021. Please refer to the visa bulletin at travel.state.gov to locate the current numbers being processed. This bulletin is updated after the 15th day of each month. Once an interview date has been scheduled, you will receive notification via the email address listed on your DS-260 to check dvprogram.state.gov for details.
If your case becomes current and you have not received notification to check dvprogram.state.gov, you may contact [email protected] to confirm all of your documents have been received, and that you are ready to be scheduled for an interview. This notice does not necessarily confirm that all your documents have been received or are acceptable.
This notice is not a guarantee of receiving a visa or a visa interview. KCC is a document processing facility and does not make adjudicatory decisions.”
I am from a Schengen country and my number has been current since the beginning of the year.
Does this mean my documents have been received only or also processed? How long does it usually take for them to schedule the interview from this point?
Thank you so much
April 14, 2021 at 05:21
There is no “usually” this year. Wait and see what happens.
April 8, 2021 at 16:14
Dear Simon,
May I asked a question about our case is 2021AS25XXX Hong Kong, we asked several email to KCC to request a req doc email, but they did not give us. I can’t apply a police certificate without the req doc email, how can I do? Thank you very much!
April 8, 2021 at 17:34
All I can say is follow the instructions. Perhaps show the 1NL as your reason to apply for the police cert.
April 15, 2021 at 14:12
I’m from Hong Kong and the main applicant. When i went to the Police HQ for CNCC they only took my 1NL (with my name and address) and ignored the KCC email.
But when my husband went, they took everything and asked several questions, probably because his name was not in the letter.
So maybe you can try to apply with 1NL?!
Also, although the police booking website said 1person/appointment, but my husband saw several people book 1 appointment and went together, and police still processed cncc for them. So maybe you can try that as well?
Just sharing our experience. It may or may not work but doesn’t hurt to try. Good luck!
April 8, 2021 at 00:33
Hello Simon,
I hope you are keeping safe.
Due to the nature of DV visas (Time bound i.e. 30/September annually) can KCC either issue interview exemptions or conduct them virtually.
Especially for DV2021 since evidence shows they will not manage to process most of the 55K visas.
April 8, 2021 at 00:55
The lawyers have asked about that, but only time will tell. There is no penalty for KCC or the embassies if they fail to use all the visas, so I suspect they will only get creative if ordered to do so.
April 7, 2021 at 19:48
Hello Mr.Brit! Hope you are doing good. I sent the documents, following your and KCC instructions and I received the automatic reply.
1. Are there supposed to be attachments in this automatic reply or no?
2. In my case, the automatic reply had no attachments. Does this indicate KCC did not receive my documents or it means absolutely nothing and I should just wait?
Their e-mails are very vague and make room for interpretation.
Thank you in advance for your answer!
April 7, 2021 at 23:53
Why would they send you attachments? Think about it.
April 7, 2021 at 15:29
Where can I find statistics for DV 2021 like issued, refused, ready and so on visas ( I mean the URL ) ? Thanks

April 7, 2021 at 10:13
Hi Brit, any updates on Gomez lawsuit.
April 6, 2021 at 23:13
Hi Simon,
Are you well?
I want to ask you an hypothetical question. According to your knowledge on DV matters, is there a remote chance in a worst case scenario that certain embassies might not conduct interviews for DV2021 at all as at 31/September/2021.
Thanks.
April 7, 2021 at 01:09
Yes of course.
April 6, 2021 at 19:24
Hello Mr Brit, hope you doing great.
The silence on the britsimon platform and the slow release of 2nls especially the zero 2nls in countries with low to zero cases of covid yet many ready for scheduling cases such as Accra, kenya, senegal, etc is really frustrating and killing us slowly.
Please mr Brit, get the lawyers to file for dv cases as mission critical and we will join, or possibly get your contacts in kcc to please start getting things going.
Thank you.
April 6, 2021 at 21:03
If only it were that simple.

Hi Brit, when are the DV2020 people going to hear the final verdict of the reserved 9000 visas.?
2.Are they DV2020 supposed to send their documents now to have chance to be interviewed?
3.if the court grants the 9000 visas, will they be interviewed before the dv2021 or will go alongside with them?
April 6, 2021 at 03:01
1. Late April or May.
2. No.
3. Well 2021 is already started, so its a pointless question.
April 6, 2021 at 04:58

after i submitted the document in sep7/2020 kcc mailed me in 09/10/2020 congrtulation our record indicate …… so can i send document second if didnt schedule interview still now my case no is current since november 2020
April 5, 2021 at 17:13
I sent My documents sing September 2020, but I didn’t receive a confirmation email, so I resend them again.
When I sent an inquiry to KCC asking about the status of my documents, KCC answer with the following:
“Thank you for your inquiry.
Records indicate you have submitted a complete and valid DS-260 application for each family member, and you have provided all required documentation to the Kentucky Consular Center. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing. ”
does it mean, the documents are ok, or I need to to resend them again?
April 6, 2021 at 02:55
Its very clear if you read it.
April 6, 2021 at 08:36
Yes it’s very clear, but because I didn’t receive a confirmation email, I am not sure if the KCC response means my documents are ok or not, so I asked you, and I need a clear answer.
many thanks for your time.
April 6, 2021 at 14:56
“you have provided all required documentation to the Kentucky Consular Center” You should be good to go, you just have to wait
April 4, 2021 at 16:35
Hello dear BritSimon first of all I want to thank you so much for doing such blessed work of helping peoples.
I am DV 2021 winner from AF case no 179XX ,Up on sending supporting documents to KCC, I read and understand email from ,as police certificates are required only for principal applicants and didn’t sent my wife police certificates and is almost 8 weeks passed. Even i contacted KCC twice about document status and received similar of processing documents. But I saw on Facebook page AF18XXX case no recieved confirmation messages.
So
Do you think I made mistake while Sending document ?
What you advice me please,??
With Regards
April 5, 2021 at 14:11
Yes you made a mistake. You need to provide police certs for all derivatives over 16. Because you have not sent the required documents, they will not have done anything with the documents you sent.
April 4, 2021 at 10:41
days without news is so painful. am dv2020 selectee from Ethiopia ready for interviews, is their any news any hope CN 45k
April 2, 2021 at 11:01
Dear Simon
I have sent my documents to KCC in 10/2020 and this emai (back in Oct as well):
The Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) has received your email and is currently processing your documents. This email address, [email protected], is only used for applicants to provide the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) with documents required to continue processing Diversity Visa applications. [email protected] does not respond to inquiries. If you have any Diversity Visa related questions, please email [email protected] with your case number, complete name, and date of birth, as entered on your original entry.
Document processing generally takes 3-6 weeks. Please give us time to complete that process before sending questions about your application.
I inquired recently if they are satisfied by my documents and they sent me:
Your DS-260 has been processed. You should have received, or will soon receive, an email from the Kentucky Consular Center giving you instructions to complete in order for your case to continue processing. Please follow the instructions in the email. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing. Please refer to the visa bulletin at travel.state.gov to locate the current numbers being processed. This bulletin is updated after the 15th day of each month. Once an interview date has been scheduled, you will receive notification via email to check dvprogram.state.gov.
My case number is 120xx, I’m located in Asia which would be under the 13k bulletin on may.
I tried calling them but they didn’t answer their phone.
Any guidance on this topic?
Always grateful
April 3, 2021 at 21:53
Wait a couple more weeks then Email (or better still, phone) them and ask them if they are satisfied with your documents.
April 2, 2021 at 04:15
Dear Brit,
Greetings!
I am dv 2020 selectee with case number AF60065. My case is current since last year. I send my documents twice , but I didn’t receive confirmation letter. Can I send documents now?
Thank you
April 3, 2021 at 20:44
Yes but you have to be sure you are sending the correct documents.
April 5, 2021 at 12:07
I am from 2020 too, 2020AS27xxx, my police cert. expired last March, so I should renew and resend the whole docs. package again for the third time (I sent twice last year) before Gomez’s final judgement as well, right?
April 5, 2021 at 14:39
No don’t send anything. You can renew your police cert if you want.
April 1, 2021 at 13:53
Good day, Mr Brit.
I unlocked and resubmitted my ds260 and just a day after, i receive the documents submission request.
Do i need to resubmit just for unlocking and resubmitting the ds260 eventhough i have already submitted docucuments and received ready for scheduling email last month. My case is current since February.
Thank you.
April 3, 2021 at 18:12
Hey Abdul, I did the same thing but I resenty documents, afterwards I received the ready for scheduling email, so I assume so
April 3, 2021 at 19:18

April 3, 2021 at 17:29

Am wondering why our embassy is not opening yet
April 1, 2021 at 04:57
Hi Simon,
My case number is AS64XX and I sent documents more than 2 months ago, but I haven’t received the confirmation email. I emailed KCC to enquire last Thursday but I haven’t received any response yet. Should I wait for more days or take the initiative to contact them again? Thank you very much!
April 3, 2021 at 16:05
Wait.
March 31, 2021 at 23:56
Hello, BritSimon, thank you for your time.
I am SE in IT from Ukraine my case number is 2021EU20xxx and I am only one applicant.
Before I decided to wait and see and not fill DS260, but now I see that things go a little bit better(PP10014 is gone, first interviews scheduled), so I am going to fill DS260 today/tomorrow and send my TheBloodyDocuments:)
We don’t have the Schengen ban (Ukraine is not a part of), but things with Covid and quarantine are bad and embassy can be close soon.
I want to improve my situation and join one of lawsuits.
I watched your recorded stream about this topic and also found one more lawsuit. Lawsuit which I found is related to specific consulates/countries (Kyiv, Ukraine is included) and it called ‘DV2021 PROBLEM CONSULATES LITIGATION’ by The Law Offices of Larry R. Glazer. This lawsuit is less expansive and a single plaintiff is $500, with an additional $350 due upon receipt of an interview notice.
My questions:
1. Did your hear about lawsuit ‘DV2021 PROBLEM CONSULATES LITIGATION’ by The Law Offices of Larry R. Glazer? Can I use it in my case? Their registration form asks about a lot of personal info(all dv info is included as wel), is it legally and safe to share it with them?
2. Can I join ‘DV-2021 Mandamus Litigation’ lawsuit with my case number? I expect that in next visa bulletin for June
Europe will be 21000+, which means my case number will be current and the result of lawsuit will not be earlier. Am I right? In other words, how much time process of lawsuit will take? It can be more than month or two or x from now?
From lawsuit FAQ ‘If your case number is not current when we get a positive decision, you would not be entitled to
process’.
3. What is better to choose a) ‘DV2021 PROBLEM CONSULATES LITIGATION’ or b) ‘DV-2021 Mandamus Litigation’?
Or what would you choose in my case, or better do nothing?
4. Do you expect new lawsuits or better to take chance now?
Thank you.
Support/donate of this amazing project on me. See you.

April 1, 2021 at 03:52
You must decide which lawyer to use, if at all, but considering you haven’t even submitted your DS260 yet, and your embassy is scheduling, it seems a bit daft. Your choice though.
About the lawyers, Glazer has no DV track record that I know of – so I could buy a cheap Lada, but I don’t know that I would trust it.
April 4, 2021 at 01:41
A very warm Good morning from Afghanidtan Dear Mr. Britsimon, I do not know whether its cold in california or warm, but in central afghanistan its cold and windy.
Just a couple of question about using a lawyers for DV 2021 cases:
1- is it necessary to use a lawyer?
2- exactly what can do a lawyer do for our case improvement? (My cn is 2021AS18xxx, can a lawyer improve my chance of having my interview faster than its normal process, i mean faster than numerical case number process by kcc.Or to improve my chance of having my CN current faster than its normal process?)
3- which lawyers have DV Experience in case if it was necessary to use a lawyer?
4- how mutch will cast using a lawyer for DV Cases?
We would be always grateful for your kind support Dear Mr. Britsimon.
Thanks again
April 4, 2021 at 02:11
1. Not “necessary”, no.
2. A lawyer cannot get you an interview if your case number is not current. However, if your case number does get current, one of the lawsuits may help you.
Please read my recent articles where that is discussed.
3. It varies, but around $2000
April 4, 2021 at 18:09
Thanks for your kind reply Dear Mr. Britsimon
March 31, 2021 at 17:39
Hello Sir
My wife is finding it difficult to obtain military records/certificate. However, she has other proofs some of which are certificates from UN and US Military trainings… Can i send these? My case number is 2021AF354xx.
April 1, 2021 at 03:41
No.
March 31, 2021 at 14:10
Hi brit
2021AF32XXX
I already send my documents to kcc. I should send deportation documents too or just wait because I have seen a case similar to mine ask them for deportation documents.
April 1, 2021 at 03:37
No – show those at interview, if asked.
March 31, 2021 at 10:43
Hi Brit,
I am a 2021EU000336XX selectee.
I want to follow your advice and send the bloody documents) to the KCC, but I have a very tricky situation with my wife’s birth and police certificate. Please help me.
My wife was born in Lutherstadt Wittenberg, Germany in the family of a Soviet army officer.
She got her German birth certificate, where this is stated. She has Ukrainian nationality and residence. But because of the USSR bullshit, they gave her also USSR birth certificate, where it’s stated that she was born in Potsdam. It’s also stated in her passport that she was born in Potsdam, Germany.
Now I have 2 questions:
1. Which birth certificate should I send to KCC? German? Ukrainian? Both?
2. Do I need to send the police certificate of my wife from Germany? She has Ukrainian nationality and residence. She spent less than a year (but more than 6 months) in Germany while her father was serving in the Soviet army there.
April 1, 2021 at 03:34
1. Birth certs are issued by the country where the person is born.
2. Yes, but read and follow the instructions.
April 1, 2021 at 20:56
1. I understand but will KCC understand why there is a conflict with the city of birth between the German birth certificate and passport?
2. We requested the police certificate from Germany, but I didn’t find the requirement about the police certificate from the country of birth (only about the country of nationality or residence) or where the applicant spent more than 12 month after 16 y.o.
April 3, 2021 at 19:27
1. I don’t know.
2. The instructions refer to country of nationality.
April 25, 2021 at 15:53
Brit,
You are doing amazing job! Thank you for that!
I requested the police certificate from Germany, and I have been waiting for it for more than 3 weeks now. Is there a sense to send all other documents to KCC without German police certificate? Given that I and my wife are Ukrainian nationals and we have Ukrainian police certificates.
April 25, 2021 at 18:35
No – your documents package must be complete.
March 31, 2021 at 08:35
kcc mailed me congrtulation our record indicate …… so can i send document second if didnt schedule interview still now my case no is current
April 1, 2021 at 03:30
So now just wait.
March 30, 2021 at 22:02
I emailed KCC a week and a half ago asking if my documents were okay and I am still waiting for a reply. Should I email them again?
KCC needs to get their sh*t together already, we are so far into the FY!
April 1, 2021 at 03:15
Patience.
March 30, 2021 at 21:28
Any winner here from Cameroon? Does anyone have any idea whether the US embassy in Cameroon has started scheduling interviews for DV lottery 2021?
April 1, 2021 at 03:14
Yes they have.
April 2, 2021 at 06:37
Hello I’m from Cameron to let’s be connect on WhatsApp my number is 697256072
March 29, 2021 at 20:29
I used to live in X country before 10 years and I didn’t visit this X country since that time.
I have a police certificate from X country, it was issued before 2 years.
Do I need to issue a new one? or it’s not required as long as I haven’t visited/lived in the that country?
March 30, 2021 at 21:00
You MUST read the instructions to see what police certificates you need to provide.
March 29, 2021 at 00:04
Hi simon,
I have mentioned my cousin sister as my sponsor in my DS 260 but in the last minute I’m changing my sponsor. Since my number is already current and I’m ready for scheduling I can not unlock my DS 260 anymore, so is there going to be a problem during my interview about the change of sponsor ?
Thanks for your time ?
March 30, 2021 at 20:46
No problem.
March 30, 2021 at 22:23
Hi Brit!
I’m I missing out something? I think there is no space for the sponsor on the ds260,
The ds260 only talks about the host,
Are people confuse between the host and sponsor or what??
March 31, 2021 at 06:03
that’s my question too
April 1, 2021 at 03:21
Well people do get confused – and you proved why. It does not say anything about a host – it simply asks for a US address (which is where the GC will be sent).
March 27, 2021 at 16:44
hi sir,I recived an email that I submitted all document required by kcc and ready for scheduled for an interview on 10 august 2020 ,still now I didnot recived a 2nl so what shall I do.
Are you current? Yes
Is your embassy accepting interviews? Yes
March 27, 2021 at 21:00
Then wait.
March 27, 2021 at 11:36
Hi Brit, i requested a change of interview locacation and go this:
Thank you for your inquiry.
Based on the information you have provided, your interview location has been changed from COUNTRY A to COUNTRY B. The new interview location will not appear on your DS-260, but will be used by KCC for scheduling purposes. When we have scheduled your interview, you will be required to log into the Entrant Status Check (ESC) to view your appointment notification. At that time, please verify that your appointment is scheduled for the correct post. If for any reason it is not, you may contact KCC again at [email protected]. You will also need to request that KCC unlock your DS-260, so that you can update your application with your new address. (Please note that Post Office Boxes and mailing addresses in care of another person do not justify a change of interview location.)
Questions:
1. Does this imply my location interview is successfully changed.
2. Do i still have to request kcc to unlock my ds260 so i can update my new address or i dont have to.
3. Will i still be scheduled if i dont update my address given that the location is changed per kcc above and also given that i have already received ready for scheduling email.
4. Can i update the new address at the interview with the CO.
Thank you

1. It says exactly that!
2. It answers that too.
3&4. Follow the instructions.

Tnx Brit for your quick response :
So if my ds260 is unlocked for me to update my new address in my new country,
1. Can i also update passport details of my new derivative who did not have a passport at the time of completing the ds260 or i should just strickly stick to the only amendment in regards to my new address and nothing else.
Thank you.
March 28, 2021 at 16:08
1. Yes
March 30, 2021 at 21:10
Good day Mr. BRIT, So my ds260 is currently unlocked. I am still in my old country but will travel to the new country soon arround the 15th of May wen i receive the 2nl.
1. What month in terms of the duration of stay do i put in for the new address in new country since we are not in May yet and I am still in the old coutry. Please advise.
March 30, 2021 at 21:15
You don’t change anything until you move.
March 30, 2021 at 23:09
Thanks Mr Simon for your quick response. However please clarify as i am little bit confused. You answered that i dont change my current address until i move which makes sense to me cause that will mean i will be lieing since i have not moved to my new country yet.
However, in my earlier email as above, i had asked you whether not updating my current address will be a problem cz kcc claimed they have successfully changed my interview location which u answered ‘ i should follow the instructions’ meaning i should unlock and change the address to my new address which kcc has just unlocked my ds260 for me to do that.
The email i received confirming my ds260 is unlocked stated clearly that unlocked ds260(s) should be resubmitted asap once the ammendments are made to avoid delays.
Let me kindly also bring to your attention that in the email i sent to request the change of location, I stated that i requested a change as i will be in my new country by the time i am scheduled for interview of cause without stating any month or date.
So please sir kindly clarify:
1. Will i still be scheduled for interview if i fail to change my address as kcc has changed my location.?
2. Did u suggest i resubmit the unlocked ds260 so i can be scheduled for interview then update the ds260 at the interview once i am in the new country?
3. What do i do with the unlocked ds260 if i should not change anything until i move to the new country. Resubmit to get scheduled in time or keep it opened till i move given that i will only move once i receive my 2nl.
Please clarify so that i avoid delays.
Thank you for your patience.

You need to use some common sense here. You asked for a change of interview location. However, you must have told them that was because of a change of address, but now it is clear you were predicting that change of address. So – you dug a hole. Now decide what you want to do.

Hello Brit,
AF00008…
How do I know if my embassy (Cameroon)is scheduling for Dv2021 already?
Is there a site I can check from?because I got ready for scheduling email from kcc since January but till now I haven’t gotten an email for an interview.
Or is there anyone from Cameroon here that can enlighten me please??
March 27, 2021 at 20:44
Wait until the end of the month when we see the final 2NLs for the month.
March 31, 2021 at 17:39

Hi simon,
In my DS 260 I have mentioned my cousin sister as my sponsor but eventually my cousin brother is providing the sponsor letter. Does that matter? Or do I have to unlock my DS 260.
Thanks for your time?
March 27, 2021 at 20:43
No problem.
March 26, 2021 at 16:22
Hi Simon,
I know that you said everyone should send the documents; however, in Hong Kong, Police office won’t give the No Criminal Conviction Certificate (NCCC) unless there’s a request from KCC/embassy. My case number is AS199xx, and I haven’t received “further documents request” email from KCC, so I can’t get the NCCC and therefore can’t submit the documents. I emailed KCC 1week ago and haven’t heard back from them. So my question is should i wait for the email? Or should I submit everything except that NCCC? Thank you so much for your time, help, and support!!
March 27, 2021 at 19:58
Wait for their response.
March 26, 2021 at 11:00
Hi BritSimon,
I sent my documents to KCC but they didn’t ask me to send them to them but recently when I checked the DV lottery status page using my DV confirmation number and other related information I saw the below message, what does that mean? Does it mean they are satisfied with the document I sent to them?
Your case will not be scheduled for an interview appointment until a visa number is available, you have submitted a complete and valid DS-260 application for each family member, and you have provided copies of all required documentation to the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC).
March 27, 2021 at 19:51
That is not a new statement. It means no documents = no interview.
March 26, 2021 at 08:20
1- I live and reside in Kuwait, and Im going to send my documents. Is it s must for all documents to be attested from Ministry of Foreign Affairs? Or it’s not required?
2- Do I have to submit my university degree certificate?
March 27, 2021 at 19:44
1. Read the reciprocity page instructions.
2. No – you show that at the interview.
March 25, 2021 at 15:57
Hello Brit, thanks for all the good work.
God bless you for your kindness towards dv winners.
Please a friend of mine who’s 2021AF19k sent his documents last week without kcc requesting him to and just received an email from kcc to send his documents.
Please is he to resend it cuz personally I’m 2021AF75 and I’ve sent mine too.
March 26, 2021 at 00:07
Sending documents seems (sometimes) to get them an email to send the documents. There should be no need to send them again, wait a couple of weeks and ask if they are satisfied.
March 25, 2021 at 10:36
Hello Sir,
Hope you are doing well.
I just got married and I already updated my status in my DS 260 so I am preparing to send my supported documents again which including the marriage certificate. However, the police certificate that I sent last time is last for only 3 months which is over due since March 11. So do need to ask for new police certificate or is it fine for me to send the old one?
Thank you a lot.
March 26, 2021 at 00:01
The police cert is OK up to 12 months old.
March 25, 2021 at 09:51

March 25, 2021 at 06:23
hi sir,I recived an email that I submitted all document required by kcc and ready for scheduled for an interview on 25 august 2020 ,still now I didnot recived a 2nl so what shall I do.
March 25, 2021 at 23:51
Are you current? Is your embassy accepting interviews?
March 24, 2021 at 13:35
What can I do if I sent documents without waiting for KCC to send me the documents request email; AND a few days/weeks later KCC sent me the documents request email?
-should I resend my documents?
-should I contact KCC and mention that I already sent my documents?
-Do nothing?
March 25, 2021 at 20:42
You could wait a couple of weeks then ask KCC if they have or are satisfied with your documents.
April 18, 2021 at 00:15
Hi Sir
My concern is this, I did submit the DS260 Form with mistake first, then few days later they sent me an email requesting my documents but I asked KCC to unlock my DS260 Form which they did and I fix the mistake then resubmitted my DS260 Form for the second time… But now I haven’t receive the email requesting my documents yet.
-Must I wait for the email before submitting my documents??? Or….
-I can submit the documents without waiting for the email???
Please assist

Send the documents
March 24, 2021 at 12:31
Dear Brit:
you said; “By the way, EVERYONE should send their documents.”
does it include even the high numbers? i am eu30+++ should i send as well? the reason i am asking is because in your recent video you said the same and then exempted people with high numbers – has anything changes since then?
thank you

Hi Brit,
Hope you are doing well.
We are from Uzbekistan. Our cases are current now and have been processed already but the problem is that consulate is not working because of lack of staff and current pandemic.
Are we able to request to change/exchange our post (consulate) to the another country which is continuing routine immigrant VISA interviews?
Thank you,
Regards,
Shams
March 25, 2021 at 20:22
Possibly – if you have some connection with another country. No harm in asking KCC.
March 28, 2021 at 07:24
What if I don’t have any connection with another country? Does that mean I cannot change the consulate?
Also the new litigation by Greg Siskind says that if the case is won – they can schedule the interview at a different consulate if the original consulate is shutdown for legit reasons. Can they do that even if I do not have any connection with another country?
March 28, 2021 at 16:06
They will to some extent, but they may not handle that in large volumes. So I cannot generalize.
March 24, 2021 at 10:20
Hi Brit,
I received an email from KCC last week directing me to collect and submit my documents promptly. Now that my police certificate has been processed, could I kindly send the draft to your personal email first for accuracy check before submitting the documents to KCC so that I can avoid causing my case unnecessary delays.
Thanks.
March 24, 2021 at 16:20
I want to send the documents but I have got question with the naming format. We should name the documents with full name of applicant’s format right?
(First name_Middle name_Last name) format including ofcourse full case number and the document type.
Can you forward me the forward the format that KCC sent to you dear.
Please, forward it to my email [email protected]
Thank you!

Selam Tewodros
Is your case number current ??
March 25, 2021 at 20:22
No. I don’t have time to do that for everyone. Use the video/article info I have created.
March 24, 2021 at 06:14
Hello Sir,
Sorry I know how to name the document but I just wanted to be clear if you could share any sample of email body for sending the documents?
Thank you a lot!
March 25, 2021 at 20:04
No sample needed.
March 31, 2021 at 19:14
Could your interview be from sending the reservation confirmation letter
March 31, 2021 at 19:23
I am from 2020 and have not received a document confirmation letter, knowing that I have addressed them more than once and every time the answer was that if I had an error in the information, they would send a message to me knowing that there are numbers higher than me and the confirmation message received
If the court issued an order to issue visas, would I be in trouble?
April 1, 2021 at 03:46
Stop overthinking and remain patient.
March 24, 2021 at 03:37
