Hey Britsimon
How will the kcc email you without you given your email to them
September 8, 2019 at 22:44
You gave an email in the original entry.
September 9, 2019 at 14:38

September 8, 2019 at 22:50

September 8, 2019 at 23:31
Hy Britsimon
I am dv winner for 2020
Currently i am here in newzealand from last 2 years
As i was born in Nepal
I did a stupid mistake while choosing the country of chargeability
Now it is listed newzealand as country of chargeability in my case
I submitted all the supporting documents to KCC
Is there any chances for interview ?
Very thanks in advance
September 9, 2019 at 18:28
So you have an OC number – right?
You will certainly be disqualified at interview.
September 9, 2019 at 19:29
So what will be best next ?
Is it okey to attend interview or not ?
September 9, 2019 at 19:34
You can attend the interview if you want – but it is a waste of time and money.
September 9, 2019 at 00:10
Dear Brit,
1-Regarding work experience, i`ve been with my present employer for more than 10 years, do i need to list the previous employers or it is enough to list the current employer only?
2-My CN is 2020AF00064XXX, is it ok to submit my ds now, or to wait sometime?
September 9, 2019 at 18:33
1. Read the question. Does it saysomething about “in the last 10 years”?
2. Submit now if you want.
September 10, 2019 at 22:29
Yes it does,
When i tick i have previous work experience a new field is generated asking to list all employers for the last ten years.
September 10, 2019 at 23:01
OK – then 10 years….
September 9, 2019 at 01:49
Hello Simon
I just recalled my memory that when I applied F1 visa 20 years ago, I was told since my financial supporting documents from my parents was not sufficient enough, they didn’t issue visa to me at that moment and told me visa will be issued if more supporting can be provided. Therefore, I went to the embassy again after a week later with more valid documents and visa was finally approved. For my case, which one should I select (yes or no) under the question of “Have you ever refused a US Visa, been refused admission on the United States…..” on DS260. Thanks
September 9, 2019 at 18:35
Answer “no”
September 9, 2019 at 02:59
Does deactivated your Facebook account cause a harm to ur entry prior interview
September 9, 2019 at 18:36
No
September 9, 2019 at 03:20
Brit..
What the quickest mean of sending for someone if u are a US citizen?
September 9, 2019 at 18:37
I only answer DV lottery questions.
September 9, 2019 at 05:59
Hi Brit Simon. Do you know when DV-2021 will be open? I’ve noticed the DV website has not been updated yet. Do you expect a delay due to the new changes?
September 9, 2019 at 18:39
October as usual…
September 9, 2019 at 06:51
Sorry if this is an easy question but make confusion to me.?
In ds 260 Regarding if required experience or training? You replay that
just answer
So
Question is
Is the mean of the question is for skild worker or bachelor degree or both?
Sorry if I disturb you.
Thank you
September 9, 2019 at 18:39
For Goodness sake. Stop overthinking. Just read the question and answer. JUST DO THAT.
September 9, 2019 at 08:39
Hello Brit, will there be a 2nd draw for dv 2020
September 9, 2019 at 18:40
Maybe
September 9, 2019 at 08:40
Hi Simon
usually how much time takes between the first email (documents email) and the second email(interview appointment)?
Thanks in advance
September 9, 2019 at 18:40
Varies, because it is based on by case number.
September 9, 2019 at 11:59
Hi Simon,
1- I submitted my DS-260 on August 6th though i have a hight case number in AS region which is above 27000, my question is : My passport will expire on 07-07-2020. What if the KCC sent me for the document before that date? Is it OK to send them the 07-07-2020 one and go the interviewe with the new one?
2- I was born in another country ( KSA ) other than my nationality and that was 40 years ago. i don’t have a birth certificate from the born country ( Lost and not easy to get a new one ) but i have one from my country denoting that i was born in KSA
Will that be OK as i’ve heard that any document that is considered legitimate in the country where it was issued, is considered legitimate by the US?
Thanks
September 9, 2019 at 18:45
1. Take old and new to the interview.
2. That could be a problem – but I have no experience in matters in your country. Get a replacement from KSA, ideally.
September 9, 2019 at 20:01
Thanks Simon
And this will be my last question ?
I really trust what you’ve just said and want to take your advice
It is very very very difficult to get a replacement as i’m not in KSA and cannot go there.
Plus, I have an official birth of certificate from my country and it says that i was born in KSA ( they issued that based on a copy of my lost KSA birth certificate and my father’s family ID )
So
Is it OK if i sent an email to KCC and explain point #2 and see what will they say?
September 9, 2019 at 22:14
They won’t say anything. They don’t judge cases. But the document you have is not good because they can only take your word for it that you were born in KSA. So. Get a replacement.
September 9, 2019 at 12:23
Hi Simon, I have a question about DS260. And it might sound crazy :))
When I was filling out the job description area, I wrote each description with ENTER button to separate them from each other, like this:
MY RESPONSIBILITY IS DOING THIS AND THIS
{ENTER} I DO THIS AND THIS
I DO THAT AND THAT
ETC..
I hope you got it…
When I completed and printed out DS260, I saw that all job description area is one huge sentence, with no space between the descriptions, so it is not possible to understand where one description ends and another starts; there are no commas and dots (as I used enter button). It looks like this:
MY RESPONSIBILITY IS DOING THIS AND THIS I DO THIS AND THIS I DO THAT AND THAT
ETC..
Am I being paranoid and this is nonsense, or should I be worried about it and unlock DS260 and correct it (add commas to make it understandable)?
My case number is 2020EU43*** by the way.
Thanks)))
September 9, 2019 at 18:46
Jeez. They are looking for the job TITLE, like “Plumber”.
September 9, 2019 at 19:05
Hi simon
i have submitted my DS260 then the scanned documents but after sending my documents i found a translation mistake in Birth Certificate of my child which the translator made a mistake by changing my place of birth on her birth certificate from Saudi Arabia to Egypt.
Kindly help clarifying if I need to send the right translated Birth Certificate separately or shall I have it with me in my scheduled Interview?
September 9, 2019 at 19:35
Get the translation replaced.
September 9, 2019 at 20:05
i got it but i want to know if I need to send the right translated Birth Certificate separately or shall I have it with me in my scheduled Interview? please note that i just sent my documents today after i sent it i found this mistake
September 9, 2019 at 22:15
Personally, I would resend the documents.
September 9, 2019 at 20:14
By job description İ meant “duties”. There is “Job Title” section, where I entered title correctly. Then come “Duties:” area. In this “Duties:” section I wrote the way I indicated above :))
It looks like this: (copy-pasted)
MAINTAIN
MAINTENANCE
INSPECTION
TEAM MIT
EQUIPMENT
INSPECTIONS,
TESTING AND
MAINTENANCE
RECORDS OF
ALL RELEVANT
FIRE
EQUIPMENT
UTILIZE
APPLICATIONS,
SUCH AS MS
EXCEL
SPREADSHEETS
AND ACCESS
DATABASES
IDENTIFY AND
TRACK ALL
…and it goes like this for 3 pages. Looks pretty annoying :)) and incomprehensible.
So what do you think? Should I change it?
September 9, 2019 at 22:16
I have no particular advice about that. You can decide.
September 9, 2019 at 13:45
Greetings Simon. My CN is AF28XX. I submitted my ds260 in May, KCC requested for required documents in August (all have been submitted & acknowledged receipt of everything). Just out of curiosity (i know curiosity killed the cat), when do you think i might be scheduled for interview?
Otherwise i really appreciate all the advice, help and for sparing time to respond to all querries. Thanks.
September 9, 2019 at 19:08
November or December.
September 9, 2019 at 15:57
Dear Simon
I am a dv2020 winner and i have submitted my docs to kcc last week. but unfortunately the person who i mentioned on the ds260 regarding contact person whom to send the green card , has changed the place where live (Address). Im really worring about this. Would this be a issue for me and is there a way to resolve this matter..
Please could you help me to resolve this. Thanks for your time..
September 9, 2019 at 19:17
Unlock the DS260 and change the address.
September 10, 2019 at 05:30
Thanks Simon ,
Just to Clarify , Unlock the DS260 and do the changes after sending the documents to the KCC will effect to the ongoing process, will they take more time to process , I mean will they process the DS260 again.
September 10, 2019 at 07:27
or can I Change it at the POE, I’m worrying that unlock and do the changes will occurs delay or disqualification to the further process , since I have already submitted the Docs.
September 10, 2019 at 18:08
Ask yourself this. Would I tell you something that would affect your chances?
And then use some common sense. Were ANY of the documents you sent related to the address you want to change??
The answer to both those questions is no. But if you prefer, you can make the change at interview or at POE.
September 9, 2019 at 16:04
hello sir I have a question, in case of refusal of a visa for a green card,a refusal is printed in the passport?
September 9, 2019 at 19:17

September 9, 2019 at 16:34

September 10, 2019 at 10:24

September 10, 2019 at 11:22

September 9, 2019 at 16:58
Good day Brit sir, I received an email from the embassy today, informing me that my spouse has been put on September waiting list, whilst myself and kids were updated to ISSUED on the 30th, as my spouse remained on READY, they said the reason is cos her medical report was submitted late, but it was submitted on the same day and same envelope with my own report. My questions are
1- what does a WAITING list represent?
2- does this affect the rest of the cases already declared issued?
3- what are the chances that my spouse will be issued?
4- how could the two reports have been submitted at the same time but one is said to have been submitted late?
Thank u for ur ever prompt responses
September 9, 2019 at 19:20
1. Waiting. How can I explain that?
2. No
3. I don’t know.
4. I don’t know.
September 9, 2019 at 17:20
Hi Brit,
For the new DV program can I claim chargeability of country of birth without being a citizen of that country?
Thank you,
September 9, 2019 at 19:41
Yes, as long as you have the documentation to prove your birth place.
September 9, 2019 at 17:55
Hi Simon!
Let me bother you with a question. Which email address would KCC send to for requesting more documents? Email address at initial entry of applicant entrance or email at DS-260? Supposting that I forget the email address at initial entry of applicant entrance and use other email address at DS-260.
September 9, 2019 at 19:40
DS260
September 9, 2019 at 18:47
Hello! First of all – thanks for all you hardwork, that is really apreciated here. In former USSR countries – like Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and so on, on resources regarding immigration and GreenCard lottery, your opinion is hugely valuable.
Second, here is my specific question that need kinda lengthily pre-description:
In the initial application for the DV, I indicated the level of education – “(8) Masters degree” according to the recommendations on the most popular local forum regarding DV and GC in our country. And then… I won! 🙂
Now I’m completing DS-260 and have some doubts regarding Education section. In fact, I graduated from the National Aviation University in Kyiv (maybe not the absolute best university in Ukraine, but certainly from the TOP-5, at least among Kyiv universities), majoring in computer science with bachelor’s and “specialist” degrees. The term of study, was the same as that of the Masters – it’s 6 years (well, or formally 5.5, depending on how you count it – it began in September 2004, finished at the very end of February 2010), full-time. 4 years (September 2004 – June 2008) – Bachelor and 1.5 (2) years (September 2008 – end February 2010) – “Specialist”. That degree is specific to former USSR countries. It is certainly better than Bachelor (4 years of study vs 5.5 years for both “Specialist” or Masters), but slightly less valuable then Masters degree. It had slightly less hours and some subjects was kinda easier then those of the Masters.
According to the adopted in 2014 The Law of Ukraine on Higher Education, specialist-level degree was dropped from now on and one of it’s articles reads:
“all previously acquired qualification level of a “specialist” (full higher education) after the entry into force of this Law shall be equated with higher education of a master’s degree.”
Also on the WES website, I used their form of preliminary free evaluation of diplomas (https://applications.wes.org/degree-equivalency-tool/), entered all the data about me, my university and the course of study and received an answer that such a diploma shall be evaluated into the Masters degree.
1) Thus, I believe that in the DS-260 form the indication of the “educational level” – “Masters degree” will be correct and lawful despite it is actually written “specialist” on my diploma. The same goes to the my original entry, where I indicated “(8) Masters degree” level of Education.
I beg you to tell me – are my arguments correct and won’t it be considered as an error or misrepresentation?
2) Accordingly, in the “Highest level of education” column I shall indicate “Advanced degree”?
Thank you, I will be very grateful for the opinion.
September 9, 2019 at 19:39
1. No problem. They are only looking to establish that you meet the requirement.
2. Yes.
September 10, 2019 at 00:08
Thanks.
Yes, I know that they are all about meeting the requirements. But also I saw a story of a girl who were denied the visa because she used “(10) Doctorate degree” in her initial entry. But she was a medicine doctor actually and had only a typical medical higher education, which could be translated kinda as mine – as Masters degree. So that there was a quite huge misrepresentation as I understand it.
September 10, 2019 at 03:49
That story is nonsense.
September 9, 2019 at 19:09
Hi brit,
I’ve a question on social media handles.I listed every account I created but there’re two accounts on Instagram and Facebook created couple of years ago and honestly I’m unable to find or don’t remember them.Is it gonna be issue for my dv process????your reply is highly appreciated and thanks in advance.
September 9, 2019 at 19:35
Just remember as well as you can.
September 9, 2019 at 19:36
Hello Brit, wanted to ask you another question.
To make some assumptions, I examined EU 2019 data. Looking at the websites below, I saw selected applicants as 30,006, derivatives rate 2,3, and number of cases 15,085.
Derivative rate * number of cases should give selected applicants plus derivative growth rate shouldn’t it?
It gives 34,695. Is this 4.6k of growth is that said derivative growth rate or something else is going on?
https://dvstack.com/statistics/2018/2019/EU/
https://en.wikipedi0.org/wiki/Diversity_Immigrant_Visa
regards
September 9, 2019 at 19:47
Derivative growth rate.
September 9, 2019 at 20:43
Hi mr. I just submit the ds260 today on 9/9/2019
My case no is 2020as000179xx
I’m I safe in this date
September 9, 2019 at 22:16
Yes
September 9, 2019 at 23:16
I just completed DS260 form. How long does it take for KCC to send me an email requesting documents? My case is 2020EU000040xx. What month do you think the interview will be scheduled for?
September 9, 2019 at 23:50
It varies by case. Patience is key in this process.
September 10, 2019 at 06:11
Hi Simon, Firstly well done on a very detailed website.
My question is this and I apologise if its been covered, My partner is from an eligible country and she will apply for the next DV2021 opening..
Question:
She is legally divorced with all paperwork in order
She is in a 8 year strong defacto partnership with myself
When applying should she tick Divorced as defacto might not be legally recognised for Diversity Visa program, even though she used defacto marriage for Australian Residence card with me.
My guess would be, tick Divorced and if in the slim change she wins we can always get legally married before DS260 application, regards proving genuine marriage we can show all approved paperwork for the last 8 years defacto prior to marriage and properties together etc.
Your input would be appreciated Sir.
Kinds regards
Martyn
September 10, 2019 at 18:50
You are correct to assume defacto relationships don’t “count”. She should enter divorced, and as you say, get married if selected.
September 10, 2019 at 06:54
Hi Brit,
My wife and I recently got our green cards. First of all, I thank you very much for your guidance throughout the process. I would like to ask you about some mistakes that I noticed in our cards. Although I was the principal applicant for our case, my visa category is DV7 (spouse of DV6) whereas my wife’s visa category is DV6 (principal applicant). They made the same error in our approval letters.
Do you think that these mistakes requires a renewal of our green cards? Secondly, am
I supposed to pay any fees for USCIS-based mistake?
Thanks again for your assistance,
Warm regards
September 10, 2019 at 19:33
Contact USCIS. I don’t think it affects anything, and you certainly would not have to pay, but ask them.
September 10, 2019 at 07:20
Hi Brit,
Great work over here keep it up.
My sister got her DV lottery interview on 10th of July 2019 in Khartoum, Sudan. The consular officer told her that in order to issue you a visa, you should fill a certain form (7 questions form). Her status was put on administrative processing, and have been updated 2 times since then (last updated 15 July 2019).
We are worried because we know that no visa will be issued after 30th September (or the 55,000 annually-allocated visas). So we think we are running out of time. We contacted USCIS, KCC, US embassy in Khartoum, but the issue has not been resolved yet. It’s now 60 days since her interview, I’m thinking about contacting CIS Ombudsman office.
Could you give us some insight?
Thanks.
September 10, 2019 at 19:52
There is nothing you can do to speed things up. It really is a matter of patience. However, as you mentioned, 9/30 is a hard deadline.
September 10, 2019 at 20:38
I appreciate your reply, thank you.
September 10, 2019 at 07:47
Hello Brit. I’m nancy from kenya my case no is Af 24xxx I submitted my DS260 on 10 th May and until now I have not received any email from kcc should I be worried?
September 10, 2019 at 19:56
Always include your year withy your case number please.
No you should not be worried. Be patient.
September 11, 2019 at 18:57
Hi Nancy,am from Kenya too…I submitted my application on 18th of May …till now I haven’t received any email from them..
September 11, 2019 at 18:59

September 10, 2019 at 09:47
Hi Simon
Is it possible to get a passport when applying or u need to apply before getting a passport ….. And aslo is it possible for only couples to apply and can u apply when u are under age of 18 and 20 years.
September 10, 2019 at 20:03
Apply for what? Be clear.
September 10, 2019 at 11:37
Hi brit
I have reopened my ds260 form.but next day i got email from kcc to send the require documents.but i did not resubmited ds260 form.is it problem?
September 10, 2019 at 20:06
It’s not a problem. But you are in control of when you send your documents….
September 10, 2019 at 12:04
Hi Simon first I want to thank you for everything ^^
So I have my visa interview by 18 Septmbre in Paris .and I’m orginally from Tunisia.
I read some comments from other DV winners , ( especially people from AF countries and lives in Paris , ) that in Paris embassy they ask for DS 5535 and this form take a lot of time to be treated , so I thought I’ll fill it and take it with me the day of interview ( any feeds about that ? )
Also , NO visa is issued after 30 Septembre , that means I just have less then 2 weeks to have the visa ? I mean if my case went to PA for more time , there is risk ?
THank you
September 10, 2019 at 20:07
Yes take the DS5535 completed to the interview. Produce it if asked.
Yes the deadline means there is very little time, so be over prepared so that you don’t create a reason for AP. You can’t control everything, but you can prepare for what you can control.
September 10, 2019 at 12:33
Brit simon
Actually my father’s middle name is missing on my citizenship, education certificates and password will it do any effect but i have made a document from government office that the person is same i mean the name of my father
Thank you hoping for response
September 10, 2019 at 20:09
Please be more clear when you ask a question.
Regarding names the DS260 needs to have your accurate legal name that should match your passport.
September 10, 2019 at 12:43
Hy Britsimon,
I have choosen my interview location to Abu dhabi US embessy UAE at the time of submitting ds-260, but now i am in My home Country Nepal, and i mailed kcc to change my interview location to Kathmandu, Nepal,
And i got the mail from kcc (based on your information provided, your interview location is Kathmandu, Nepal)
1. Does 2NL contains new interview location or previous one ??
September 10, 2019 at 20:10
KDU.
September 10, 2019 at 13:47
please is it true that the 2021 DV program passport would be used to apply
September 10, 2019 at 20:12
Yes – that is the current understanding – but we await the official instriuctions.
September 10, 2019 at 14:18
I am 29 years old I have long university currsus, I got my high school diploma in 2010, and my bachelor degree in 2017, and currently I am a student in master 1engineering, at the same time I am manager of magsin but without proof(contract of empolyement), given the new law on public charge am I obliged to ask my boss to make me a document that shows that I am employed since 2014, and in my ds I put that my 1st occupation is student, my question is: I am forced to unlock my ds 260 and add my work, or it is enough the m’y bank account statement and an I-134 to avoid the risk of becoming a public charge
September 10, 2019 at 20:15
Your DS260 should have accurate information. If it doesn’t fix it.
If you live outside the USA you current job has NO bearing on whether you will be considered a risk for public charge.
September 10, 2019 at 21:33
thank you sir, I am from the african region
1-Do you think that the university curriculum (I am a 29-year-old student and have been at the university since 2010) will cause a refusal if I will not have proof of my job.
2-I have enough money to support me and I have a friend who will sponsor me, is this with the bank account statement and I-134 it will decrease the risk of becoming a public charge.thank you again
September 10, 2019 at 21:50
1. You have been at University for 9 YEARS??? Your education PRIOR to University will be the key to meet the requirement.
2. I-134 is always wise.
September 10, 2019 at 15:29
Dear Simon,
I tried to search your web site as well as Google but still have no answer. My wife won DV 2020. We have one child 4 yo. I have two other children (17 and 15 yo) with my ex which wouldn’t immigrate and we’d provided all information on them on application and so on.
Do I need to fill IV application for my children which are not immigrating?
On the Summary information page of USDS we got one principal applicant (my wife) and me and 3 child accompany.
We filled and submitted our applications (my wife, me and our child). But two of my kids are in state ‘Start now’
Should I fill applications for them?
September 10, 2019 at 21:34
The DS260 is an application for a visa. Each person needs an accurate DS260.
So – a child that is NOT emigrating would NOT be completing a DS260, but WOULD be listed on the DS260 of both parents.
September 10, 2019 at 16:00
Hi simon, so it has been over 120 days since i applied for my GC and i still don’t have it yet. I called uscis and they gave me a confirmation number and told me to wait for 10 – 14 days to be contacted by an officer. Is this a normal procedure or should i go to their office and ask in person?
September 10, 2019 at 16:28
What do you mean by saying you “applied for your GC”. In DV there is no point where you apply for the GC. So
Is yours a DV lottery cases?
Was it Adjustment of status?
If consular processing, when did you enter the USA?
If consular processing, did you pay the $220 fee online? When?
September 11, 2019 at 04:29
Yes, DV 2019 .. Paid the fee on may 9 entered the us on may 11.
September 11, 2019 at 04:59
OK, then see what they say. Is the address they had for the USA address in the DS260 accurate?

Yes it is accurate.
What do you mean by “see what they say”? …you mean go to their office or just wait for them to contact me like they said? ..is it likely that whoever was assigned to my case ended up forgetting it?
September 11, 2019 at 16:09
You said – “they gave me a confirmation number and told me to wait for 10 – 14 days to be contacted by an officer.” So – wait for that.

Dear Brit,
If I have around 10,000 $ cash that I put in bank account from selling asset, is it enough or it’s must that I have bank statement for previous 3 months.
Another question is sponsor in US is a must in interview to avoid public charge??

hello brit.I won at dv2020, here are my questions:
1-what is the period of validity of documents, knowing that with us it is valid 6 months (criminal record …)?
2-I have two bachelor’s degrees
-the first in 1998 (I was educated in high school)
-the second one in 1999 (no schooling in high school, so free condidat), with this one, I did my university studies and had my diploma of engineer.
I did on my ds260 that I attended high school from September 1994 to June 1998, while my bachelor degree that I must present is that of 1999.
Should I change the date instead of putting June 1998 I put June 1999?
3-I corrected my ds260, I add the addresses of the establishments to attend, as well as the validation dates of the passports of my wife and my daughter, one I corrected the months and the other I correct the year of expiration.
Will not you have a problem?
thank you very much brit

Hi brit, here is my question.
I corrected my ds260, I added the addresses of the school attended. I also corrected the dates of validation of the passports of my wife and my daughter, one on the months and the other on the year of ‘expiry. will there be any problem if we correct this type of information?
thank you so much

No. Accurate information doesn’t create a problem. Inaccurate information does.

Hello. By registering at the lottery dv I had been wrong by placing a lower diploma than the one I have which is a master in economics. If I present my master to the interview will cause me a problem since I declared this degree of master on my ds 260 ??
September 10, 2019 at 21:45
No problem.

Hi Brit,
My sister had her DV interview (she’s the principal applicant, married with 2 kids) at the US Embassy in Armenia today. At the end of the interview the CO informed that they meet the criteria and the application will be approved if they provide sponsorship information (212(g) refusal). Since she had sponsorship information with her, she submitted I-134, W2, recent payslips and ID but they also want 1040/IRS tax transcript. What happens if they fail to submit 1040/IRS tax transcript? Is it really necessary? From your video I thought either 1040 or W2 was needed (and nothing about IRS tax transcript), but they are asking for both. They didn’t even look at any of the submitted sponsorship documents. CEAC status is now AP. (The sponsor appears to be uncooperative now about 1040, so planning ahead).
Many thanks for your input.
September 10, 2019 at 21:47
A sponsor that really cares would have no difficulty providing the 1040. The tax transcript is usually unecessary, BUT the CO may decide to hold the case until they have the documents they have requested PURELY because they have requested them. So – get them asap.

Thank you for your answer, I appreciate it!
But just to clarify in your experience which tax document is needed for I-134? Form 1040 or W-2 or IRS tax transcript or a combination of any two or some other combination? From the blanket document submission form the embassy gave it is not very clear (it literally says “From 1040 and W-2/IRS Tax Transcript” on the relevant line, so my interpretation is either “Form 1040 and W-2” OR “IRS Tax Transcript”).

They can ask you to stand on your head and Moo like a cow if they want. You are trying to find logic or make a point but it really doesn’t matter.

Hello Brit,
thank you so much for your blog.
I was selected for DV2020 and there’s something that really bothers me.
so when I applied for DV2020 i only mentioned two out 3 children’s I have since the oldest one was above 21 on that time. does not mentioning or adding him on there will disqualify my case? if no should I add him on my DS-260 form on family question part where they ask about the number of children you have and choose not coming to US with me.
Really appreciate if you reply to this.
September 10, 2019 at 21:48
It’s not a problem – you did right. You can list the child over 21.

Depending on when your number becomes current you may need to update your address to make sure you get interviewed in the resident country at that time.

Hello Brit,
Am from SriLanka and my CN is AS6***.KCC has asked me my documents on 09/09/2019 but I’ve a couple of questions below,
1)Does the police report have to addressed to the embassy where I’ll be interviewed(Australia)??
2)How long does it take to get the 2nl after the documents being sent?
3)I’ve been in Australia for like 5 months as a student,do I still need to get a certificate of good conduct for KCC???Thanks in advance.
Regards,
September 11, 2019 at 15:46
1. Not normally. You simply follow the instructions on the reciprocity page.
2. It is based on your case number.
3. For current country of residence the timeline is 6 months – BUT given that you will have exceeded that by the time of the interview I would suggest you obtain the police cert for Australia.

Hi Brit,
I have mentioned my cousin brother’s name for sponsor in ds260 form, can i show the income of my uncle too in aafidavit during interview?or i have to unlock 260 to add my uncle’s name too? They are from same family?
September 11, 2019 at 15:46
Your sponsor does NOT need to be listed in the DS260 – that is simply the address where the GC will be sent.
