Hi Simon
I am a winner of 2025 with the case Number of 2025AS25*** first of all what’s your thoughts about how many cases will be current for Asia and will I be able to be interviewed secondly how many visas are available for Asia every year and the last one is there any way to know how many people are selected from Asia
June 11, 2024 at 10:30
1. We don’t know how many people are selected, so it is too soon to know your chances.
2. The quota for Asia is about 9000 visas

June 9, 2024 at 13:51
Hey Brit,
I appreciate the amazing job you’re doing. 2025AF18***, I submitted my DS260 on 7th May, I realized way later that I put my mobile number as Hubby’s primary number and his primary mobile number as the second one, should I unlock the DS260 to rectify this?
Secondly, we have two daughters and on the last bit of DS260 where it asks if anyone assisted in filling the form I answered “NO” since they are aged 13 & 9.I was expected to fill without consulting them. Is this in order or should I have answered “Yes” ?
Lastly, I sat for my KCSE exam in the year 2000 and had a retake in 2002 in Kenya, should I have both certificates certified by KNEC and present both during the interview? I listed both certificates in my DS260.
TIA.

Sir I am unable to fill my ds 260 form yet due to delay in my and my family’s passports availability… I will receive passports within in next 3/4 days and I will hurry for ds 260… Will I have any delay issue? I m from Nepal and my case number is 2025AS7** please also let me know about my visa chances as I have all my genuine documents and criteria…
June 6, 2024 at 22:20
You did not need to wait for passports. BUT it doesn’t really matter. A small delay won’t cause harm.
June 4, 2024 at 03:41

May 31, 2024 at 20:12
Dear Simon,
Thank you for your informative video on DV lottery New Policy for embassy moving. I have a question regarding interview locations for Iranians. Besides the designated embassies in Abu Dhabi, Ankara, and Yerevan, which U.S. embassies would you recommend for Iranians to transfer their interview to, considering factors like less busy schedules and better processing times?
I appreciate your guidance on this matter.
Best regards,
Ray
May 31, 2024 at 21:51
I have shown how to evaluate embassies, but the choice has to be made by the selectee, considering embassy performance and also the ability to go there. Also there is risk in post interview processing for Iranians.
May 30, 2024 at 14:51
Dear Simon,
I would like to understand how the issuance of the 55,000 visas by the KCC each year works. If a single case number represents a family of six individuals, does that mean six visas are counted out of the 55,000, or is each case number considered as one visa?
Thank you.
May 30, 2024 at 14:53
55000 – 6
May 29, 2024 at 02:17

May 29, 2024 at 18:40
We won’t know selectee numbers until July/August, so until then any guess would be a baseless guess.
May 28, 2024 at 07:22

May 28, 2024 at 12:14
There are no requirements for the person that allows you to use their address for delivery of the greencard.
May 28, 2024 at 03:41
Dear Simon,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inquire if there are any available statistics for the DV Lottery 2025, specifically regarding the last case number for the Asia region, including Iran. Additionally, I would appreciate any information on the distribution of case numbers.
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
Ray
May 28, 2024 at 10:58
No – it’s too early to have stats for that.
May 28, 2024 at 02:31
Simon sir I am from Nepal and my case number is 7*** ….how much chance do I have to get the visa ?
May 28, 2024 at 10:56
Pretty good – but you don’t mention the year.
May 28, 2024 at 11:23
Edv 2025
May 24, 2024 at 19:01
Thanks for your reply … sir the spelling of the municipality I have been living is different in my passport and my supportive documents… like sundarharaicha municipality in my passport and sundarharaiNcha in my supporting documents… does it matter….
May 25, 2024 at 07:04
The DS260 should be accurate. You don’t mention which spelling is accurate.
May 28, 2024 at 12:20
Both of them are correct
May 24, 2024 at 03:18
Sir I have made mistakes in my edv lottery form about my dependent’s date of birth? Does it avoid me getting edv visa ?
May 24, 2024 at 11:07
Not normally – just make sure it is correct the the DS260.
May 23, 2024 at 10:30
Hi Simon, I have been selected for DV2025. I am located in Indonesia but my wife and kids are in Singapore. Will it be okay to schedule interview separately (them in Singapore, me in Indonesia)
Thanks.
May 23, 2024 at 10:36
The normal process is to interview together. Whilst a separate interview is technically possible, it introduces complication and risk, so I do not recommend it unless absolutely unavoidable.
May 23, 2024 at 10:43
Should i change my interview location to Singapore? since my schedule is more flexible as my kids are attending school and may not be convenient to take absence.
Thanks.
May 23, 2024 at 15:13
Possibly – you can decide for yourself.
May 23, 2024 at 08:43
Can i use a marriage affidavit as a proof of marriage if i dont have a certificate
May 23, 2024 at 08:58
You should be able to provide a marriage cert, even if that means getting a replacement certificate.
May 22, 2024 at 19:36
Hey Simon.
I am from Iran, Asia, case No. 2025AS00013XXX. I’ve already submitted my DS-260 and chosen Abu Dhabi, UAE for my interview.
1- Do you see any chance to be invited for an interview based on previous years?
2- Seemingly Yerevan, Armenia U.S consular performance was better than Turkey and UAE. Do you think if I am supposed to request KCC to change my location?
Thank you
Ray
May 22, 2024 at 19:54
1. Probably OK, but we will know better later
2. ABD will be OK.
May 23, 2024 at 04:50
Thank you!
May 19, 2024 at 06:58
Hi Simon,
I’m not married but I have a child, so i applied as single and included my child since i have one, also my gf also applied as single and also included my child.
Is there any implication if we win.
Note: we both use the same last name
May 19, 2024 at 08:35
You gf was not entitled to add your child so if she won, she could be disqualified.
But the draw has already happened, so why are we discussing “if we win”?
May 17, 2024 at 17:02
family with 3 kids, while applying 1 picture was used for 2 boys(kids) by mistake. is it something can be fixed on interview?
May 17, 2024 at 17:09
You should understand that is a high risk of denial for the whole case. If you cannot afford to risk the fees, then I would suggest you do not proceed with the case at all. But if you do want to proceed, then don’t mention the mistake unless the CO brings it up. If it is raised, just answer honestly.
May 17, 2024 at 07:25
Hi Simon.
I have a question in regards to AV queue.
You’ve described how cases are being added based on DS-260 processed + CN is current per VB.
Does the region (AF, AS, EU, OC, SA) plays a role when case into AV stage?
May 17, 2024 at 08:27
Possibly, yes. There is some evidence (and a statement from the government) that suggests that when case numbers are added to a queue with people from more than one region, the region is used alphabetically in the order you listed. This isn’t a problem in a non backlogged embassy, but can mean an embassy might be seeming to favor one region over another in a particular month.

My name is ikram shakib sufi
This is my 6th time to enter the lotery and iam not succeed.

May 17, 2024 at 06:54
Selection is 100% random, there is no way to change this. Just keep entering
May 17, 2024 at 08:18
Keep trying each year and also see if there are other ways you can qualify for other visas.
May 16, 2024 at 23:50
what about 9095 visa for 2020
May 17, 2024 at 08:12
Still waiting for the appeal.
May 22, 2024 at 04:28
He must not forget us, we are still waiting because since 2020 I have been trying nothing yet so far, please help us, we really need it.
May 22, 2024 at 09:15
