One of the blog members asked for a page solely for people to post their interview experiences. So this is it – with some rules!!!
First – NO questions on this page. Let’s keep it for interview experiences only – good and bad. I will probably delete questions to try and keep the page focused on interview experiences
Please at least mention your embassy (city and country, like Accra, Ghana) and brief details about what questions you were asked and any interesting points about documents you were asked for and any tips you can give others. This will be useful to others who have not yet had their interviews. People could use the search function to look for their embassy.

Helo brit, realy i longed for ur answer. Since i was put on AP, i did not ask you any question but the time the concilor officer told me to wait was 90 days and now the 90 days is three days to finish. My question is :does asking the councilor officer about my case do any meaning since i am one of the banned country? Or it is better not to ask until the ban changes?
Thanks britsimon.
Note:the CO said to me that i can ask them about my case after 90 days.
January 4, 2018 at 11:22
Don’t expect a sudden change after 90 days. The ban will keep you on hold.
January 4, 2018 at 12:54
dear maxamed xasan
are you from somalia ?

read the official web for the department of state they described every thing about the ban issues

January 5, 2018 at 00:21
If you read some of the stories you will see most interviews are very similar, regardless of the embassy.
January 5, 2018 at 14:23
Hello Brit,
I have been scheduled for an interview in about one months from now. My question is, suppose any of my beneficiary failed the medical, will that affect me being granted a visa?
January 5, 2018 at 15:32
Normally no.
I noticed you had answered others questions – I deleted them as they were inaccurate. Please leave the answering to me and use forums for discussion.
January 5, 2018 at 19:28
Happy new year everyone.
Here is my Interview experience in Nairobi, Kenya.
Interview date 3 January 2018
Time 6: 45 am.
Receive2 nl around 15 Nov 2017
Submitted ds 260 may 12th 2017
Unlocked Ds 260 twice- to change highest level of edu. And to add newborn
Am the principle applicant, husband and 3 kids derivatives
We reached the embassy gate at the appointment time and we were ushered in after security screening. We went in and there was another check up be4 going to the main hall where we picked a number and we were told to let parent stay inside with the kids and the other to stay outside and wait for our number to he called.
I went out since I was the principle and Hus stayed in with the kids.
Since the newborn baby was disturbing, I was called be4 ma time and asked to submit documents at window 6.
The lady at window 6 asked me some questions as she arranged the documents
How many children do you have?
Do you have other children other than these ones?
Have you lived in another country be4? husband?
Have you ever been to the us?
She took our fingerprints
She then asked us to pay at the cashier. After paying was told to go to window 9 where a gentleman asked me to give a confirmation page- ds 260 for the newborn.
I gave it to him, took it confirmed something from his colleague and gave it back to us.
I was asked to go out again and wait for the interview.
After 20 mins my name was called to window 5 where a white gentleman greeted us.
CO: Good morning
ME:morning
CO: Would like to take your fingerprints which he did.
CO: Adults raise you right hand and swear that everything we will discuss here will be true.
US: we swear.
CO: When did you finish high school?

CO: Did you continue to any higher institution?
ME: answered.
CO: What did you learn?

CO: so you’re a ………….
ME: answered
CO: what do you do as a ……
ME: answered
CO: what ages of pple do you deal with?
ME: answered
CO: OK. You have a host in US? Says his name
US: answered.
CO: what is he to you relative, friend?
US : answered
He tried to get more explanation on the relationship coz its a distant relative.
CO:Have you registered with DHL?
ME: answered
CO: within Nairobi?
ME: answered
CO: exact location?
ME: answered
CO: OK ave approved all your visas and you can wait for 4 days then you will get an email to inform you to pick the visas from the location you registered.
WE: we thanked him and we were so overjoyed.
CO: handing us white sheets of paper and explaining how we could pay the immigration fee for all of us.
We were really overjoyed and thanked God for his mercies and wonderful ways of working.
Yesterday evening I received a mail from the embassy informing me that they had released our documents to the courier service for delivery.
Today at noon I received another mail informing me to pick the visas.
As I speak I have the visas with me 2 days after the interview.
I think if you register with the courier service be4 interview it hastens the visa delivery.
Thank you britsimon and everyone and I wish the rest who have not gone 4 interview the best.

January 12, 2018 at 11:51
Hi beneficiaries and more importantly our benefactor, Mr Simon(Thank you sir) . Today am actually enthusiastic to reach at a point of Sharing my interview since i predominantly used to read other people’s experience though i got a lot from those experiences simply a glimpse of what might happen. In a nutshell, let me kick off my interview experience.
Venue :Nairobi, Kenya
Date :11/01/2017
Time :6:45 A.M
I went to the venue as early as 5:00A.M and found a lady who already arrived at the embassy, so I was the second person. Immediately, after i alighted from the car i commenced socializing with the lady (Not seduction) and enquiring if we are on the same boat like Dv winner but unfortunately she wasn’t . Let tell you something if you find someone or persons please attempt to intermingle and chat with them. I do comprehend someone perhaps is like, “How does it help? “.The core thing during an interview is confidence and awareness. Therefore, it will boost your confidence and get enlighten about the whole process by the people who actually recognise something perhaps you have no idea about.
Moving on, at 6:20 we began queueing like women on one side and men on the other. Moreover, we were allowed in by the G4s guys after a mere screening. Then, we made another line for verification of our appointment letters by a lady. We proceed to a section where we place all our items into a basin like thing (Illiterate of the name though ?) for more screening. We left our phones and CD if you had one or rather all our belongings at that point and given a card with a number to use for later collection of our items.
In addition, we proceeded to a hall where we entered and given a receipt with a number so that we wait to be called. After few minutes, I was called to a widow precisely widow 7 where i found a lady who i bet she was Kenyan. This how it went between me and the lady.
Lady:Place your left four fingers on the finger print (I did it) then right four fingers (what do you expect??).
Lady:Are you married?
Me:No
Lady:Do you have children?
Me:No
Lady :Have you ever been convicted to crime?
Me: No
Lady: Have you ever travelled to any country ?
Me:No
Lady: Have you ever travelled to US?
Me: No
Then, she gave me a paper and told me to pay the interview fee at the cashier. At that moment the cashier was not around. So, I waited for her and finally arrived. I paid ksh 34650 and she told me to wait for my turn.
I went out again to wait for my turn with the same number given to me earlier on.
After roughly 2-3 minutes I was called for the actual interview.
Co: consulate officer
Me : (do you what an explanation? ??)
So this is how it went :
Co: Morning ?
Me:Morning
Co:place your left four fingers on the finger print (I did it) then the right hand (As expected ?).
Co :Swear that what we will discuss gonna be true.
Me :I swear
Co: Is Adan your host?
Me:Yeah
Co: What is the relationship btn you and the host?
Me:Family friend
Co: Really?
Me: Sure
Co:Have you ever met with him(host)?
Me: yeah I did
Co:when have you met?
Me: He came to Kenya 2013
Co:Ok, Are you married?
Me: No, am single
Co :Congratulations your visa is approved
Me: Thank you sir (I did it like Namastee style.)
Co: then he gave me white paper on which has details on how to pay for the GC fee of $220.
Bottom line, be confident because after all your not lying and be overprepared like for all your documents must be in place.
Am grateful to God Almighty for making easy. On top of that am also thankful to Mr. Britsimon for the help in preparing and basically for the whole process. Thank you sir.
For those who are going for interview I wish you all the best✌?.
Without forgetting if your Kenyan and won the lottery thus waiting for the interview send for me your contact if not already in a group where you can get vital support if you don’t mind. Peace guys ✌?

January 16, 2018 at 16:52
That depends on procedures in your country – so I don’t know.
January 16, 2018 at 10:46
The wife and I are due for the interview tomorrow in Stockholm. We’re confident we have our papers in order and hope for a smooth experience inside the embassy. I just want to take the opportunity to thank you Simon for all the help along the way regardless of the outcome. You’re a very clever and patient man and I respect that! Thank you.
January 16, 2018 at 16:47
Best of luck for tomorrow. I’m sure it will be a very short interview with a positive outcome.
January 17, 2018 at 11:29
You were right. The interview took three minutes and was a breeze! It’s such a great feeling, now comes the next step in the process.
Thank you once again Simon!
January 17, 2018 at 15:00
Great!
January 17, 2018 at 23:25
Hi Simon,
First I would like to thank you for your awesome website. I spend a lot of time reading it while I was waiting for my interview. It helped me relax and answered a lot of my questions.
I had my interview today at the US embassy in Paris. ( January 17 2018 ).
My interview was at 9 am. I got there at 8:45am , the line was really short. After passing the first security post a lady asked me my medical record, my police record and the DS 260 confirmation page. She then advices me to go see the cashier to pay the visa’s fee ( 330 euros ).
After doing so, I had to go to an other window where a man looked at my paper, made sure everything was right and told me to go sit and someone would called me for my interview.
I waited 2 minutes and then someone called me.
I went to the window where an other man asked me questions. I choose to do it in English. He was really nice and friendly.
The questions asked where :
-Where were you born ?
-Did you ever have trouble with the justice ?
-What are you gonna do in America ?
-Where did you live there ? ( I lived there 2 years prior to the lottery ).
He then wrote something on my ds 260, look at his computer and told me :
” Your visa has been approved, You will receive your passport in one to two weeks. Have a nice day “. And I left the embassy at 9:30 am.
To all the others people waiting for their appointment, I know how stressful it is. My best advice will be to be patient and make sure you have all your paper. If you follow the instruction, everything will be ok. The interview isn only there to verify your informations and your identity. All the people working at the embassy were really friendly and nice.
Good luck to all of you, and thank you again Simon for your website.
January 17, 2018 at 23:35
Congratulations! Nice simple interview.
January 18, 2018 at 09:58
Hello Brit, my wife is a DV 2018 selectee and we were scheduled for our interview yesterday (17th January, 2018) at US embassy in Accra. Unfortunately we couldn’t proceed with the interview even though my wife added my daughter and I as derivatives on her DS-260 and our names are listed on her interview appointment letter. she didn’t fill a separate form for us and she has been asked fill the DS-260 form separately for us and schedule a new appointment immediately for an interview at http://www.ustraveldocs.org. My question is how can she access her ds-260 form to add a new applicant now that her case has already been scheduled for an interview by kcc?
January 18, 2018 at 14:36
You asked me about that in MAY of last year and I told you to add the DS260’s Why didn’t you do what I told you then????
Now you need to ask the embassy what to do. And that is going to be a slow frustrating experience. But that is what you must do.
January 18, 2018 at 14:43
HI Brit ,my cn is 169** from AF…the visa bulletin for March interviews is 17700…am I current to receive my 2nl pls…please I want to know cux I have no idea about it

January 18, 2018 at 22:03
You take documents to the interview.
January 19, 2018 at 11:33
Hi Adan, regarding your highschool certificate i.e transcript and ESLCE certifcates, transcript needs autentiction first from ur school then at Addis Ababa Educational Beaure and ESLCE needs autentication at “A.A Temhertna Mezenawoch Agency” around 5 killo and finally both needs autentiction at Ministry of Foregn Affirs which is found at kazanchis behind Hilton Addis Hotel at HUAWEI building and you present them at time of interview.
February 6, 2018 at 19:46

February 7, 2018 at 06:42

March 7, 2018 at 02:42
Hi Nardi
Congratulations! I am the winner, do i need to register to my kids & husband too?
Thanks
January 21, 2018 at 19:02
@Simon- I am Dv -2018 winner and my interview is scheduled for next month, I played the lottery as single but got married before selection . I filled the ds-260 for myself and my wife as well but did not fill for my step-daughter since I indicated that she was not immigrating with us. Their names have been written on my 2NL as beneficiaries. Meanwhile my wife has decided not to immigrate anymore or immediately since her father is seriously sick and she has decided not to leave her sick father and immigrate, so my question is will her decision not to immigrate any longer or immediately affect my visa for being approved?
January 21, 2018 at 19:16
No impact.
January 21, 2018 at 21:00
Thank you very much..
January 23, 2018 at 13:51
Hi Brit please has Kcc stopped working because of the government shutdown impact on dv lottery?? The 2nl has kept long in coming …please how far with it
January 23, 2018 at 17:28
https://britsimonsays.com/2nls-march-2018-interviews-sent/
January 25, 2018 at 16:32
First thanks to God for thus far and Brit for being always there for the DV community.I received my visa today, hallelujah! I’ll be coming back to share my experience.
I’d like to know if there’s an additional “01” on anyone else’s visa after the case number in the visa or is it an error I need rectified?
Thank you all.
God bless America ??
January 25, 2018 at 16:55
Congrats!
The 01 is normal.
January 25, 2018 at 17:46
2 days ago a woman has been refused for dv visa (embassy Belgrade)bcs she only have 3 degree of secondary school. She was aware of that, but she didn’t want to listen. She was so sure that she can somehow pursued them……..So sad…….
January 25, 2018 at 18:05
Some people don’t believe the rules are really rules.
January 25, 2018 at 18:30
Could you shed some light please, what you mean by 3 grade of secondary school?
Thank you
January 25, 2018 at 19:13
in our embassy (Serbia Belgrade), you need to have 12 years of your schooling. That’s the bottom line, primary 8 plus 4 of secondary
January 25, 2018 at 19:16
i mean the rulles are the same in every country not just here
……..
January 25, 2018 at 19:28
I see.
Here in Central Asia «Tajikistan» our COMPLETED secondary education system is 11 years of school not 12. I.e. After you receive your secondary education degree you can apply for University.
@mr.Brit: do you think thats equivalent to the requirements, where and how do I get that info? ?
January 25, 2018 at 23:07
I married on 20th January 2017 and my Dv came through somewhere May 2017 please Is it OK to add my husband? Also I am two months Pregnant and thus that affect me in a way?My last question is, I only have my SSCE as the basic requirement and have been working with a some small Co-Operative Bank as a (teller) since 2013. So do I add my appointment and confirmation letter along with the SSCE.?Quite confused so please advice me.
January 25, 2018 at 23:19
You can add your husband. Being pregnant won’t affect you.
However, you mention the SSCE – I don’t know where you are from – nor whether that is enough to meet the requirement. Your work as a bank teller won’t help you qualify, so if the education is not enough you cannot be approved.
January 26, 2018 at 07:33
I am from Ghana and i mean I had
a good grade with my high School but never further. but currently as a Bank(teller) with no extreme qualification. So the high School Certificate is OK or..?don’t want to contradict myself. Hope to hear from you
January 26, 2018 at 14:33
Again 0 I don’t know if that meets the education requirements or not.
January 26, 2018 at 14:38
Your high school certificate is enough for you since the grades are good am also from GH
January 26, 2018 at 20:36
This is what i got from the DV site and i think at least a high school education or its equivalent, defined as successful completion of a 12-year
course of formal elementary and secondary education..I am OK now Mr Brit.(1) But in case if I am asked of what I currently do ?Sir is it appropriate to say A bank teller as that is what I do and as well on my marriage Certificate.. Please brief me..
January 26, 2018 at 09:59

January 27, 2018 at 19:59
Applied as married couple
January 27, 2018 at 21:29
Hello Beatrice, Incase you had a grade ”D or pass” in one of your subjects will that affect your case during your Interview because I learnt people with grade D in their core subjects are been refused during their Interview in Ghana.
February 5, 2018 at 15:46
It’s likely.. Today a friend was refused base on education. So d7 u are at a risk
January 26, 2018 at 10:50

First of all I thank God and Britsimon for taking his time and giving us valuable information just to see us successful and achieve our American dream.

They only took our passports with original certificates i.e school, birth, marriage, médical, police report and original employment contracts they did not want to take the copies we made, and told us to make payment to Window4. After that we were told to wait for the main interview.we waited for almost 2 hours good thing is there is a spécial place for kids lot of toys, my God my kids were shouting running here and there and the co noticed them.

My experience.
Found about win /1NL:12/5/17
Ds-260 submission :10/6/17
2NL:15/11/17
Interview :23/1/18,Nairobi U.S embassy, Kenya.
Interview was at 6:45.a.m.I arrived at around 6:25(no hurry in Africa ?).Found people in two queues. Men and women on separate queues. Security checks were done twice. You leave C. Ds(so,no need to carry X-ray disc), phones, coins, flash discs e. t. c at the second security check.
Got to the main hall where I was given the DV instructions on a piece of paper. (like I hadn’t memorised those rules already over the months ?).After some time my number was called for fingerprinting. There I met a pleasant Kenyan lady(God bless her heart!) She made me feel relaxed,at least. This is how the conversation went.
Lady:I need your birth certificate, police certificate and K. C. S. E certificate, and a copy of each and two passport size photos.
Lady:You look different without glasses in your p. p photos, you look good.
Me:Thank you(with a smile)
Lady:Are you married,do you have kids, have you ever been convicted of any crime, have you stayed in another country for more than a year. Note:/more than a year /.She then asked me if I had requested for a confidential certificate from k. n. e. c. Told her I had about two weeks ago. But, it seemed it hadn’t reached them yet. However, she said it was okay. Asked if I had carried the 330usd in cash, then told me to go past the cashier’s. I paid a total of Ksh. 34,660.So,carry 35k just to be safe with the fluctuating rates. I then went back to the hall and waited for the main interview.
There were people with lesser numbers than I, so I thought I was gonna wait a little bit longer for my turn. So, when my number was called I had no idea it was for the main interview?.I went to the counter number where I was called ,so casually ,not knowing it was the main interview. Met a nice black American lady, mine was more of a chat with her. It went like this :
CO:Put your hand(not sure if it was right/left) on the bio kit,(at this moment I thought they were repeating my fingerprints ?)
CO:Raise your right hand, and swear everything you’re gonna say and that’s in your form is nothing but the truth (It now hit me, I’m getting interviewed ?)
CO:Are you married?
Me:xx
CO:Are you engaged or planning to get engaged?
Me:xx
CO:When did you enter the lottery?
Me:xx
CO:Did anyone assist you?
Me:Yes.
CO:At home or in a cyber café?
Me:Cyber café
CO:Did they ask for any fee?
Me:Yes.
CO:Normal cyber fee or some other amount?
Me:Just the normal cyber fee(reason I shared the real answers is to encourage you to tell the truth, always. It didn’t get penalized for telling the truth)
CO:Who is your host/where do they live?
CO:What are you currently doing? (Was a bit worried Co I hadn’t updated my latest endeavor on my ds-260,but it wasn’t an issue. I simply told the truth about what I was currently doing)
CO:What are you studying at xxx?
Me:xx(she didn’t get the course I was doing, guess it’s coz of my African accent. Had to repeat thrice. We both laughed ?
CO:I’m gonna give you a visa today.
Me:Said a million Thank you’s(with a smile) .As she prepared to give me my congratulatory letter. She asked me more questions upon seeing the visa on my passport.
CO:How long have you stayed in country X?
Me:xxmonths.
CO:That’s fine, do you plan on going back anytime soon? Coz we’re gonna keep your passport for visa printing. You’ll get it in one week’s time.
Me:xx
CO:Remember you have to travel to the U. S by xx month.Have you registered with DHL?
Me:Yes.
CO:Here are instructions to pay USD 220 for processing your documents. She then gave me back my highschool certificate and birth certificate.
Me:What about the police certificate?
CO:We’ll be keeping that, (with a smile)
All this happened within less than 3 minutes and the whole time I was easy as a Sunday morning coz I had prepared well, trusted in God and had heed Brit’s advice. ?? .Walked out a happy person.
24th:Got an email from the embassy that my passport package had been dispatched via DHL.
25th:Received my yellow package and my passport with printed visa.

February 6, 2018 at 16:33
Good afternoon Mr. Brit and and fellow winners on this blog.
My interview experience took place today at the US Embassy in Accra
It all started when my wife entered the lottery and I also did. But lucky enough my wife was selected.
After the submission of the visa application forms we were scheduled for interview on 6th February,2018.
From the advice from Mr. Brit on the blog it really help us
We were to report at the embassy at 8:30am. And we got there around 6:45am.
At 7:00am they came to call those scheduled for 7:30. In no time it was time for us to enter at 8:00.
At the entrance they check our appointment letter and passport.
We entered and all the principal applicant were called to window 1 for brief discussion.
My wife being the principal applicant went.
We went to pay for the visa fee which the rate of dollar had increased a bit so we paid Gh¢3036 for the two of us.
We were called to submit our documents, and did the fingerprints, one of my wife certificate was not part of the documents we submitted, so the Lady at the window told us when we get to the counselor then we explained.
The interview:
us: Good morning
Co: Good morning
We raise our hands to swear the oath that everything we say will be the Truth and nothing but the truth.
Took our finger prints again.
And he ask me to go and sit down
Co: How did you meet your husband
Wife: xxxxx
Co: How long have you been together?
Wife: xxxxx
Co: wow
Took some of wedding pictures went through them. And he ask how many people did we expect at the wedding
Wife: xxxxx
Co: when did it take place.
And he took my graduation picture that I took with her and ask when it was taken and the school I completed.
He ask my wife to call me and my wife thought I as also going to be interview so she was going to sit down but the Counselor said no she should stand there and he turn to us and said I am going to issue you your Visas. And gave us a white sheet with a circle address to go and register and pick our Visa in two weeks time.
All these happen in Less than 5mins.
Glory be to God for the grace and favour. Even the certificate we left out did not even come up to be ask questions about it.
Thanks Mr. Brit for the advice and directions. God bless you.

Read the stories on this page – they are very similar from embassy to embassy and you should also find some for Canada.
February 7, 2018 at 14:57
I’ve been in Frankfurt, Germany:
Interview appointment was in the morning.
– Gießenerstraße is quite a large street – parking is limited, but there were some spaces free on the side of the road.
– They have a sign at the road listing all prohibited items. Apart from the obvious like knifes and firecrackers you are not allowed to bring anything that is even remotely “electronic”. Think of your keyring – No USB sticks, no fitness trackers, mini flashlights. No Nothing! I had taken only taken my documents, car key and walltet and left everything else in the car.
– There a two waiting lines underneath a roof: the left one is for non-immigrants where was quite a queue. The right is for everything else (read: “me”). No one was waiting here, i was the next to step up to one of the two windows.
– After i presented my passport, it was the first of three times that they reminded me not to take anything electronic with me: “i hope you did not bring anything” i was greeted with. She handed out a small paper with a waiting number.
– Up to the next line: A Security Guard is handing out plastic bags (“Morning! You don’t have a phone or fitness tracker, do you?”) – Second time. The bags are for the content of your pockets – tissues are ok, the rest needs to go in either the plastic bag, or any bag you might have with you. I stashed my car key and wallet in the bag with my documents.
– In groups of 4 people access to a small entrance building is granted. In an airport like setup a security check is conducted – a last time they ask for phones and electronics, while you put your jacket and bags in a plastic container. Guess what: The lady in front of me did not only bring her phone, but also a laptop, a fitness tracker, a usb harddrive and a couple of other items like cables and chargers the guards where not happy with. Back outside for her to put everything in the car, she had to return her waiting ticket and would have to queue up in the left “non-immigrant” line again…
You can bring water: Someone in my group did, and had to drink a sip of it, then it was ok.
– Outside the security “booth” it’s 50m to the main building. Here you have to put everything from the plastic bags back into your pockets and can enter. It’s a glass roofed atrium with lots of box office windows (30-40 or so?), waiting areas and a small coffeeshop in one corner. There are also stamp machines, xerox machines and even a photo-booth. I presented my waiting ticket to a lady at the entrance and was forwarded to the cashier window. Who would of thought? Money down first…They want your passport, photo and US-traveldoc confirmation printout here- and cash or credit card, naturally.
– After waiting in the waiting area for about 10 minutes my number was called, i stepped up to the window. A german native speaking lady took my fingerprints and requested my documents one by one, including copies. Birth cert, university diploma, police records, military records. I’m a conscientious objector and took my “Zivi-Unterlagen” instead, but they did not want those. They did not want the copy of my passport either. I brought printouts of my bank statements (“Kontoauszüge”) which they demanded. She read some facts out of the DS260 (like parent’s names, how ofter you were in the US) for me to confirm. Finally she explicitly reminded my to enter to US before the expiration of my medical and also noted that traveling every few month to keep up my LPR Status but not actually moving to the US is not legit. A small, friendly chat about my luck in the lottery, and then back to the waiting area to wait for the actual interview.
– About 30min later my number was called again to another window. Also a lady, but no german this time. ‘What did you study, since when do you work’ things like that. 2 minutes, max. ‘Everything here looks good, your documentation is complete. I approve your application, you will receive your passport in about a week – Good luck in America.’ Bam. Anticlimax really describes it.
In-and-out in little more then 1.5 hours – the place is well organised, everybody is very friendly.
Thanks Brit. Your blog nails it! There is really no question left unanswered here – even if you don’t ‘ask questions here’. So people:The whole thing might be expensive enough, but there should be a little left to to send down to Brit – i just did.
Good luck to of you! God bless America!
February 7, 2018 at 15:08
Good luck to _all_ of you, that was. Especially to the ‘glass-half-empty’ High EU-Number Gang, John Dogbe and ADAMS. I’ll google sitesearch:birtsimonsays.com you guys in september! All the best!

You give answers for ?’s asked 100 times .but in my country government workers even if they have power to make things correct in legal way.they either ask money equal to what we pay at us embassy..I have problems of name spelling in educational documents .at that time I decide to pay for My OFFICIAL DEGREE And BRING To EMABSSY coz my degree has the correct spelling and having original degree will help me getting work in usa.the co didn’t ask me abt it.plus in my medical I pass everything but my blood pressure become high .I live a stressful life I didn’t give good care for myself like wearing, taking care my hair..I am always wz my laptop almost 16 hours per day .no best friend laptop is a freind after I see I am selected big trouble sleeping. when I visualize my self that day i may look like crazy or drug addict or aggressive man.SO AT RESULT DAY
instead of giving me sealed medical report .they give me a single paper that state” I have finished my medical but they put US standard medical ICD 10 codes F19.120.(at this time I don’t know what the code meaning).plus they make errors in my sex thay put F while I am M..I go.directly to the doctor to get the gender issues corrected and ask her politely. TO TELL ME IF I AM NOT MEDICALLY UNFIT.so that I will not pay to get my official degree I will go wz my temporary degree (13500 Ethiopian birr).
The Doc answers me .we can’t issue visa our work is medical evalution I see directly in z doc eye suddenly my eye become full of tear and she ask me is there anything you want to tell me I simply SAY politely ” GOD KNOWS MY FATE ” walk out saying thank you ( I think at this time the Doctor was evaluating my physiological condition whether I show aggressive behavior ) when I go to the secretary to get my paper sex issues corrected I think the Doc called told to the secretary to hold my paper and they told me to came tummorow they will give my paper after thay discusses with other doctors.the next day they gave me a single paper but NO ICD CODES.okey document preparation
1.student copy from grade 9-12 first at school and Addis Ababa education quality agency around afencho birr I think kidus or feker Plaza in front of the mosques finally ministry of foreign affairs (mofa)near Hilton hotel around zemen bank 2.degree or masters first at University and ministry of foreign affairs 3.birth cert first at wereda then at Addis Ababa vital events located sheger menafesha finally foreign affairs 4.police clearance some authenticate at mofa which I did also payment =9040 birr Interview Co.please raise your right and say did say must tell the truth ……. My interview was on 22nd January in Ghana Accra Embassy.
My case was very delicate because I applied with 2017 picture n my wife’s. I also happen to have added a girl we are staying with whom we have not adopted properly. And to top it all my results also had D7 and E8
So we resulted to prayer and by the grace of God we picked our visas today.
Jesus is the answer and He has done it for us.
My advice to my brothers in Ghana is to pray and believe God for the best.
My experience is as follows…..
We went through all the necessary procedures as usual.
CO: Good afternoon
Us : Good afternoon
CO: Raise up your right hands and swear to speak the truth
Us: we swear
CO: U have been married for four years correct?
Us: Yes
Co: ur daughter is 15 how come
Me : she is our adopted child
Co: Do u have any documents to show?
Me : No
CO: U have to get documents from social welfare
Me: we took her from her family after her Mum died
CO: No no that is not right
Me : we just wanted to help her pay her fees and all that
Co: No no
Co gets up and says excuse me… went for about 5 min and came back
CO: what do u have to show u are taking care of her
Me: handed him all the fees receipts and terminal reports
CO: who will take care of her when u go to the states?
Me : my wife’s sister
CO: do you know she can never travel with u to the states?
US : yes
CO: I don’t know how u will do it but I will give u the visas
US: Thank you
He handed all our original documents to us and told us to create a profile and pick our visas from DHL in two weeks time.
We just went for our visas to the glory of God
Thank you very much Brit .. God bless you

DS-260 SENT ON OCTOBER 25 BUT UNLOCKED IT FIVE TIMES 2NL CAME ON DEC 26 FOR TODDY INTERVIEW
February 9, 2018 at 15:02
Location:Bucharest(BCH),Romania
Date:7th February 1PM
CN: 9xxx EU
Part 1-Timeline:
22nd October 2016-My parents applied for DV2018
2nd May 2017-My mother won (lucky that mom won ,dad didnt have a high school diploma)
17th May 2017-Submitted DS-260s
Summer 2017-Sold our car($9000)
14th December 2017-Visa Bulletin for February interviews released
21st December 2017-2NL received for 7th Feb interview
22nd December 2017-Bought plane tickets for 15h Feb and I quit school(12th grade because I want to start 12th grade again in the US and
everyone from school told me I will never get to the US with the lottery because Trump will cancel it :D,while I knew for sure there was
no way our visas would be denied)
9th January 2018-Medical examination
17th January 2018-Received email from Bucharest Embassy
In the email we were told to email them our passport biographic pages PLUS they told us that they unlocked our DS260 for my mom to input
her Maiden name and divorce name ,which I forgot to put on the initial DS260.
7th February 2018-Succesful interview
9th February-Received passports with visas from TNT along with a sealed envelope
Part 2-Interview Day:
12:55-Guard from embassy went out and told us to come thourh the security check,2 by 2(in our case we were 3) where we left everything
except our documents and some $15k we had cash
13:10-entered the embassy and a lady called us to a window to give all of our documents, original+copy, while she had a little chat with us:
Were you married before?
-Yes
Please hand me the divorce certificate.
Is this the first time you apply to the lottery?
-No.
How many times did you apply before ?
– A lot.
How many *smiling*?
-Around 10.
What financial support do you have ?
-We presented her the i134 and also said we have $15k in cash to show but she said it doesnt matter because that money can be borrowed
from someone ,so a bank account would eliminate that suspicion
How did your sponsor get to the US?
-Then we had to explain how he got to the US,because she wanted a strong answer while we didnt know 100% the circumstances in which my
step-uncle immigrated to the US.
Give me your passports to cancel your past US tourist visas.
You will have 6 months from the date of medicals to enter the US.
Dad:Its not a problem ,we already bought tickets for next week *smiling*.
Then she told us to go to another window to give the fingerprints and pay the interview fee, after which we waited 1hr+ for the actual
interview.
15:10:-Our names are called to window 8 for the interview ,where a nice CO asked us to swear that we will only tell the truth.
Then,a few question followed.
Do you know english ?
-Parents answered “a little bit because they didnt want to have the interview in english”,while I said “Of course”
After that ,he told us to fingerprint again ,wrote on computer 1 minute while asking us:
What state will you move to?
-Washington,dad answered .
Congratulations ,your visas are approved.
Then we said thank you and he said “this was easy, right?”.
MASSIVE thanks to BritSimon for answering me about 15-20 questions I asked throughtout this process and thanks to Brit’s daughter
Sophie for letting her dad help thousands of people each month.Yes,we took some risks with the tickets and my school but its something
I always told my parents we would do in case we win the 0,3% chance for the American opportunity, because this was absoltely our last chance to move to the US,because this is probably the last DV and the family reunification my grandmother from the US petitioned for us would have become current in 2024,when I would have been 24 🙁 .
