People are panicking and even assuming the worst based on the case numbers they are getting in DV2024. It is premature to assume anything. Please watch the video below to understand better!

Hello again, Mr. Simon, the question of one of my friends in Iran is: How much chance does Iran’s 15,000 case have at the Yerevan embassy?
Will the AP conditions improve this year?
I have a residency in Oman, do you think I should change the embassy to Oman?
September 22, 2023 at 12:48
Impossible questions to answer at this time.
September 25, 2023 at 01:54
Hello, Mr. Simon, is it true that the entire Asian visa quota is 9000?
September 25, 2023 at 18:04
It is lower than that – about 8600.
September 25, 2023 at 02:00
If the share of Asia in the 2024 American lottery is really 9,000, then the share of Afghanistan is 4,536 people in the 2024 American lottery. Will all of them really be given visas?
September 25, 2023 at 18:05
Most of the AS region visas will go to Nepal. Many selectees from Asia won’t get a chance. Selection does not guarantee a visa.
September 27, 2023 at 05:29
Mr. Simon, what was the highest case number in Asia last year?

Hey Brit,
Do you think i have a chance to be selected for an interview i have a case number of AS35000. And my interview location is in Sofia Bulgaria. Havenโt heard much about the embassy here about the performance, but just wanted to see if you think i have a chance since AS number this year is quite high
September 30, 2023 at 20:40
It is a high number, but it is too soon to know how high. You will know more in January, so you need to wait until then.
October 8, 2023 at 01:53
Hi Brit, Thanks for the information. my case no is AS 36K, is this a high case number? thank you
October 8, 2023 at 09:16
Yes
October 10, 2023 at 01:11
Hello, Mr. Simon, what percentage of case numbers in Asia are higher than 25,000?
October 10, 2023 at 09:30
We have no way to know that until January 1.
October 11, 2023 at 09:56
Do you think that all of the 4536 lottery winners in Afghanistan will get visas? And do you think my case number 25467 will reach the interview
October 11, 2023 at 16:41
They absolutely won’t ALL get the visas. In DV2023 there were over 2700 selected from Afghanistan and about 550 visas were issued – less than 20%.
I expect DV2024 will be the about the same or worse.
I don’t know when you will get interviewed or not.
October 11, 2023 at 10:53
Hi Simon
AF112***
is there any chance?
October 11, 2023 at 16:43
Your case number is obviously very high. However, if you are at a good performing embassy AND if a significant number of selectees are badly affected by BAD embassies, then you may get a chance.
October 11, 2023 at 11:57
Hello, can the 2024 lottery winner register for the 2025 lottery?
October 11, 2023 at 16:43
Yes
October 12, 2023 at 23:53
If the number of 25,000 cases is high, then 54,000 in Asia have no chance
October 12, 2023 at 23:57
Has case number 25000 been entered in the history of DV lottery in Asia or not? How many percent can I hope for you?
October 13, 2023 at 08:38
The history of DV lottery makes no difference. We have to wait until Jan 1 to see the distribution of the cases. We don’t know where Nepal and Iran end at this time.
October 13, 2023 at 10:56
Mr simon please answer to this qustion if you know about?
October 13, 2023 at 15:16
I did answer.
October 13, 2023 at 10:58
If the number of 25,000 cases is high, then 54,000 in Asia have no chance?
October 15, 2023 at 06:35
Mr. Simon, why do you wait until January for some of those who ask you about the heigh case number to get a carnet? What will really happen in January?
October 15, 2023 at 09:14
We will have the CEAC data on January 1 with tells us the complete case number distribution.
October 15, 2023 at 06:37
One question that confuses me is why the case number of Iranians is below 21,000, but the case number of Afghans is mostly above 20,000?
October 15, 2023 at 09:19
This is because Iranians (and Nepalese) have FAR higher entries than other countries in Asia, so those two countries get more of the case numbers. The effect is so impactful that Iran and Nepal cases actually stop being drawn at a certain point, and that is why they have all their cases before a certain number.

October 15, 2023 at 10:43
Really!!! It is good that you can understand the data. I really thank you for answering my questions. Mr. Simon, the highest case number in Asia is 54000 and my case is 24019. I hope that I will get an interview?
God bless you
October 15, 2023 at 13:57
My case number is 2024 EU64XXX
October 15, 2023 at 17:12
Thanks.
October 20, 2023 at 09:27
Mr simon what was the highest case number of Asia in 2022?
I think in that year all the case numbers were current?
October 20, 2023 at 09:39
About 31k. But that was a dysfunctional year, so it shouldn’t have gone current.
October 20, 2023 at 11:24
Please explain more, I didn’t understand exactlyุ
October 20, 2023 at 19:09
I’m saying don’t spend too much time on overthinking comparing the years. There are too many selectees in 2024. That is crystal clear.
November 3, 2023 at 23:38
Hello my case number is 6971 from the Africa Region.
I submitted my form I-485 to uscis to adjust status in October 2023 but they said I submitted before the block of case number authorized.
And asked me to continue to watch the DV website.
I donโt seem to understand what is happening. At least up to 10,000 visas were available for the Africa Region in October.
I need help please.
November 4, 2023 at 09:05
Are you from one of the “except” countries?
Except: Algeria 7,500
Egypt 5,500
Morocco 5,600
November 5, 2023 at 18:41
No, I am from The Gambia.
November 5, 2023 at 21:28
Then it is odd.
November 6, 2023 at 04:15
One my friend in iran asked me to ask from you that is how high is case number 30000AS IN GREEN CART2024.
And he will get current?
Thanks in advance
November 6, 2023 at 07:59
We will know more in January.
November 9, 2023 at 13:31
According to the Visa Visa bulletin of December do i have chance?
Last year in this time it whas 9000 for Asia?
November 9, 2023 at 14:01
You keep asking similar questions. Please don’t.
November 9, 2023 at 21:01
Sorry๐
November 15, 2023 at 16:46
Britsimon, hoped you are doing well.
My case number is in the range of 2024108xxx. Is there any chance for an interview?
November 15, 2023 at 20:54
Africa I assume. The number is high. The outcome depends on how the embassies behave. You will have to wait and see.
November 23, 2023 at 00:09
Hello Mr. Simon. When do you think case number 42000 Asia will be approved? While so far only 5500 case numbers have been carneted. Is there any hope???
November 23, 2023 at 11:52
There is obviously high risk for such high numbers.
November 28, 2023 at 21:00
Mr. Simon, which day will the 2024 case number distribution table be posted on the lottery website?
November 28, 2023 at 22:38
Not sure what you mean.
November 29, 2023 at 22:05
Can you tell me please, is the case number for each region different. For example if my case number is 2024EU42347, than is it posible for someone else to have the same case number but diff region like this 2024AF42347.
November 29, 2023 at 22:48
Yes that is possible. All 6 regions (including the tiny North America region) all have their own numbers, starting at 1, and going up. So there may be an AF1, EU1 and AS1 and so on.
December 3, 2023 at 22:54
Mr. Simon, when can we see DV2024 CEAC data? In this data, can I get reliable information about my case number and which case number do you think will be Asia Carnet (my case number is 24040) I apologize for asking so many questions?
December 3, 2023 at 23:40
Its seems you have been on this blog but you ask very strange questions. There have been many questions about CN and data. So each time Britsimon comes in he says we shall only have ceac data about our Case Numbers on January 1st. No need to question more on ceac data availability because it’s the decision of the department of state to make it available only on January 01. This is DV2024. So 2024 begins in essence on January 1.
December 4, 2023 at 02:09
Thanks ๐ for your message
December 4, 2023 at 09:08
We will have the data on January 1. Whilst it can give a much better idea, it is foolish to think we can be precise about the future behavior to be exact about the current number. We will only be able to approximate.
December 5, 2023 at 01:54
Thanks ๐
I’m so worry about my case no .
I apologize for you to make you nervous
