The “May” bulletin has been released. It includes details of case numbers that are current for June interviews. There are three months remaining after this bulletin to be scheduled.
Those that are current, and have forms processed early enough, they can expect their 2NL in about 1 to 2 weeks from now. I know I am going to get a lot of people who will ask me this exact question – so let me say that again. 2NLs will be sent in about one or two weeks time – that means the latter part of the month. The schedule is that VBs are published between the 8th and the 15th of each month, and 2NLs go out from the 15th to the end of the month (most typically around the 20th to 24th). This is the same every month, so there is no need to ask me.
To those new to looking at VBs, let me explain what the “except” XXX country means.
Processing is spread out over the full year. You can see the progress of the two previous years in this post about basic questions. However, some countries have a high number of selectees and those selectees are concentrated in the lower case numbers. For various reasons, mainly to do with embassy capacity, KCC slow down certain countries as compared to the region. So – in Africa, any case with a case number shown as under the new number can be interviewed but for cases from Egypt, that number is lower. That isn’t a big problem, it just “slows down” those countries a little more than the rest of the region. Since selectees from those countries all have lower case numbers, this slowing down does not present any risk. It does not (at this point) mean they won’t allow all selectees an interview from those countries.
To understand why some countries get lower case numbers, read this article about the lottery draw process.

April 16, 2018 at 03:28
1. We have the numbers for 6 months and 10 days.
2. The first few months are slow (because there are no clearing AP cases yet). The second half usually sees more visas.
3. The 1500 quota includes AOS cases, which are not shown on CEAC. So – we will not see 1500 on CEAC – more like 1400.
April 15, 2018 at 11:08
Dear Simon,
I know u r trying to make it crystal clear by means of calculations but hope is hope you know. We already packed all. 🙂 so is there any “Wait and see” situation for us? Or shall we unpack all. EU32xxx
April 15, 2018 at 14:17
We all have to wait and see, but I don’t see your number getting current.

Hi brit, My case number is at the beginning of 27000. There are 3045 real files between 20300 and my case number. so the remaining 3 months, 1015 real files per month. Is it possible that 1015 files will be revealed every month? Is my number safe? I’m curious.2018Eu273xx

April 13, 2018 at 13:43
Hi everyone, I have two questions that i would like you to help me with:
1.- I´m from South America Region (specificaly Venezuela), and my case number is around the 13xx´s; so, i´m very worried about my interview because I´m working rigth now in bangladesh and I´m going back to rest my country in two dates (july and octuber only for 15 days each time); so my question is: Can I reschedule my interview if I get my 2NL during my stay in Bangladesh?
2.- When I got my 1NL we were a family group of 3, but now we have a new born baby girl (1 month old), what should I do to include her in this process? and what happens if I don´t have all her documentation (passport and traslated birth certificate) in order for the moment of the interview?.
Thanks in advance for your help.
April 13, 2018 at 16:19
1. That would be VERY unwise. This is a once in a lifetime chance.
2. You must get her birth cert and passport prior to the interview. You should immediately unlock your DS260s, add the newborn to your DS260s and create one for her.
Pay attention to these things. You have wasted a month and don’t seem to understand you need to act . Do so NOW.
April 14, 2018 at 00:22
Thanks a lot for your help Brit, but now I have one final question:
.- Is there a way to estimate when will I gonna get my interview scheduled? As I said before my case number is 13xx for SA region.
I really will appreciate any kind of information that can you give me about that…
April 14, 2018 at 03:44
In July most likely.

My CN35 k EU
April 13, 2018 at 11:27
I studied the diagrams on the site
and so above 15k won either from AF or EU. hence the EU holes are the winning numbers AF. but for example 20001-21000 holes of EU 58.4% and holes AF of 20.5% and since only EU and AF have large numbers and 58.4 + 20.5 = 78.9 but in my opinion there should be 100 for me it seems that these diagrams are incorrect if my calculations are wrong to ask me to be de-authorized. my number is also big but I believe that
April 13, 2018 at 14:41
The data isn’t wrong – something about your understanding is.
April 13, 2018 at 09:38
Hi Mr. Simon
I have submitted my ds 260 at the month of February 20 so my case no is AS65xx and I am not from Nepal will I receive the 2NL this time please reply
April 13, 2018 at 14:22
Wait and see.
April 13, 2018 at 07:55
Hi BritSimon, Maybe this Q was asked before, but if in prevoius years in EU B process has started at 8500 numbers on average. Is it possible that the first hole is moved in different territory of VB numbers?
April 13, 2018 at 14:12
No – we know exactly all the numbers and holes (we have the data) and we know why the VB started lower this year. It was the change to DS260 processing (processing by case number order as well as date received instead of just by date received).
April 13, 2018 at 03:26
Hi Brit,
I have submitted my DS260 form back in December 2017. The recent (May 2018) visa bulletin cut-off case number for OC (June) stands at 1100. My case number is 1618 and is there’s any chance I will be scheduled for an interview as the pace for OC is very slow with only 3 months to go.
Cheers
April 13, 2018 at 05:12
No – I very much doubt it. That number has never really had a chance – my previous predictions will probably turn out about right – which suggest an OC cutoff at around 1450 to 1500 at most.
April 13, 2018 at 02:19
hi Brit,
I’m just getting married and would like to submit the DS 260 now.
I am AS 81xx. Will I make it for KCC processing before scheduled an interview?
April 13, 2018 at 02:40
They won’t schedule an interview at all until the DS260 is processed. There should be enough time.
April 12, 2018 at 19:41
Hello Brit iam af 3267# do I have a big chance and wich vb i am gonna be current thank you

April 12, 2018 at 17:27
Oral arguments heard on April 25th. That does not mean we will have an answer on that day.

Hello sir. 1.AS8900 is safe?
2.can i get interview?
3.What will held on high court for ban countries.what is your openion?
April 12, 2018 at 16:23
1. Wait and see.
2. Maybe
3. I don’t know.
April 12, 2018 at 15:25
Hi Simon,
Say i receive my 2nl end of April or beginning of June thereafter when would my interview be? I assume about a month and half later correct? which would mean mid July. Kindly give me your opinion on this as i do no understand the process please.
Thank you. Cheers!
April 12, 2018 at 16:15
2NLs in April (including those that might be a little late) will be for June interviews. 2NLs sent in May will be for July interviews.
April 12, 2018 at 15:12
Dear Mr. SIMON Regardless of the data was scraped and every single guess for AF I checked the Visa bulletin for the previous years at the same month of april and may there is NO BIG DIFFERENCES ! and most of the years it was 2××× or 3××× and suddenly in june or july became Current ☺ so please everyone BE POSITIVE like me and let’s wait and see?
April 12, 2018 at 16:11
OK – best of luck.

April 12, 2018 at 12:31
Cases can be refused during and after the interview.
April 12, 2018 at 09:28
Hi,i heard just this week that the highest case number is bellow 58000,do you have a proof on how you hear the higher case ?
Also people post here and it seems it is true that no one claimed his/her case number is above 58000,your opinion please?Thank u.
April 12, 2018 at 12:28
We know precisely what the highest numbers are – we have all the data.

April 12, 2018 at 06:10

2) Can it be asserted that its also game over for AF 41803?
3) can I divide the actual cases for the 3 remaining months??
4) pls can I have the website to get up dates of the number of visasa issued in Cameroon?? Thanks
April 12, 2018 at 06:34

April 12, 2018 at 06:03

April 12, 2018 at 06:34

April 12, 2018 at 05:57
Am upset 3 more Visa bulletin remaining at they’re still at 28300 for AF ,this is ridiculous, I don’t know how to calculate anymore am beginning to be nervous and panicking if I could reach the line
April 12, 2018 at 04:30
Dear Mr.Simon
what is last moth for visa bulletin calling for this year , which after NO HOPE ?
April 12, 2018 at 05:19
The VB published in July will be the last of DV2018
April 12, 2018 at 02:52
Tengo un número muy parecido al tuyo y de aquí en adelante tiene que haber un promedio mínimo de 150 números mensuales para entrar en septiembre y si siguen llamando 175 igual caemos en septiembre
April 15, 2018 at 21:03
Hola Juan , Si, es correcto ! El tema es que si caemos en septiembre dará tiempo de emitirla?
No se acabará la quota antes de septiembre?
Si los próximos 2 meses son de 200 por mes yo llego en agosto pero lo veo muy difícil!
Saludos
April 12, 2018 at 02:20
Hi,
I am unable to understand how to calculate real cases in between case numbers for Oceania. So 1100 for June, then how many real cases in between till 161x. Can someone please explain how to do this?
April 12, 2018 at 03:14
It’s just a matter of looking at the file.
Go check the file (https://dvcharts.xarthisius.xyz/ceacFY18.html) and exclude holes (cases with a status = none).
April 12, 2018 at 01:53
So once again for a SA 1660 I have very little chance it has to be an increase of 200 in July and 200 in August because September it’s too late I think
What do you think Brit?
April 12, 2018 at 03:10
There are three months left. Wait and see.
April 12, 2018 at 01:42
Sorry to ask but how many real cases are between AF 28300 and AF 47000..sorry once more
April 12, 2018 at 03:15
I can’t do this for everyone. Go check the file (https://dvcharts.xarthisius.xyz/ceacFY18.html) and exclude holes (cases with a status = none).
April 12, 2018 at 07:07
8600
April 13, 2018 at 14:05
I do not know how to calculate. Also how many cases are between AF28300 and AF34000. Please help if you can.
April 12, 2018 at 01:16
Density is decreasing and less and less cases are scheduled, doesn’t make any sense.
April 12, 2018 at 00:58
i think This year they choose less than 60000 ,i have know now hundreds with numbers below 55000 this is why the visa Bulletin is so slow because again this year they select 54 k to 60 DV winner.they need to process all cases withing 12 months.so no worries
1)who has higher number than i remarked ,please share .ok?
April 12, 2018 at 03:11
Your post doesn’t make sense.

April 12, 2018 at 00:50
HI brit, Thankfull for you help. I would like to know how many visas there is avalible to South America DV2018?
April 12, 2018 at 05:22
1500
April 12, 2018 at 00:21
Hi there! For the last two months for SA they increased the number by 175 each time, if that trend continues it’ll end in 1800 by September. I would need ONE more month for my case number to be current (mid 1900). Do you expect any increase in the processing rate or 1800 is about the expected highest number for SA? Thanks for all the time you put into this, very appreciated!
April 12, 2018 at 05:23
I don’t expect an increase in pace – in fact – I think 175 is more than the average for the next three VBs.
April 11, 2018 at 22:45
God blessed you and your daughter for information provided for us
April 11, 2018 at 21:59
mr simon thanks for your effort you do
thanks to xarthisius i know the visa was issued in Egypt between Oct to Feb (5 months) is 1350 visa
and if expect that the next 5 months between Mar to June 1500 visa
so the total =1500+1350=2850
and egypt take 3500 visa so the rest will be =3500-2850= 650 visa
so this number is high to spread to the last 2 months
and they should increase the VB the next month
April 11, 2018 at 21:28
Hi Mr Brit
I’meant from Morocco and my case number is 44k,my question Is there any hope of getting the interview?
April 11, 2018 at 23:54
Wait and see.
April 11, 2018 at 21:27
can anybody tell me how many cases are between 20300 – 33200 EU i dont know how to read them
April 11, 2018 at 21:57
must be around 5550
April 12, 2018 at 17:27
What does it mean?
April 11, 2018 at 20:12
Hi brit. Im AS113XX
Hope you are all fine.
If I get current in septemer. Do you think I have a chance to finish AOS prossess and get the visa? Or better not to do the prosses since there is no time and I loose my current studnet statuse.
sorry for bother Im just asking to be preapared and ready.
April 11, 2018 at 20:40
I can’t decide that for you – you have to decide for yourself, but you have time to wait and see how the VB progresses.
April 11, 2018 at 23:21
Thanks for replaying sir.
yes true.. Im just ask for your opinion and ur knowledge about past candidates hoping to help me see the big picture. are there cases were current in septumber and the time was enough for them or more cases faild
April 11, 2018 at 23:53
Some September cases have been successful, some ran out of time or ran out of visas.
April 11, 2018 at 19:49
I think you made a mistake sir this visa bulletin is supposed to be May not june
April 11, 2018 at 20:24
It’s called the May bulletin and gives advance notice of June interviews.
April 11, 2018 at 19:29
hi brit
why it still says upcoming in the site for the june interview cut off. any idea??
April 11, 2018 at 19:31

April 11, 2018 at 19:40
Thanks
April 11, 2018 at 19:13

I think this year too diffrent there is no current regions just cut-off.
Mr brit have no ansewrs for our questions.
The best answer is WAIT and SEE.
and everything is possible.
Good luck for us.

It’s such a disappointment. I am EU292xx and I do not know what to think. I thought it was safe up to 30’s now I cannot be sure anymore. :/ what a mess. I am also very sorry for those with very high CNs.

It’s been a beautiful journey but sadly it has come to an end. Thank you Mr.Simon for all your altruistic efforts. You did your best but this years trend is just unpredictable and illogical. People who still have some reasonable hopes to get an interview (late 30’s for AF and late 20s for EU),…please, just Wait and See. This time Britsimon can’t help you. There are external factors affecting the progression that don’t respond to logic.
April 12, 2018 at 15:39
Hi , lot of case statut are “at nvc” but realy incompleted , so statut are always “start -now or “incompleted” . all thèses case number show “at nvc” when you check statut = somebody access to the first page of ds260 . statut checked “no data return ” cases are ds260 where no access to summary page .conclusion perhaps kcc think that ,owners of thèse case will been in few mouth to completed ds260 form . excuse my poor english . en tous cas je confirme que les ds260 ou il y a eu un access a la page du sommaire affichent “at nvc” formulaire remplit ou pas . Alors je crois que ceci pourrai fausser les calculs du kcc . un ds260 ou il n’y a jamais eu d’intrusion au sommaire affiche ” no data return” comme si le gagnant ignorait toujours sa sélection . bref si ça peut aider c’est ma remarque
