Hello Mr. Brit Simon (EU 21XXX)
I am willing to join the DV 2021 Mandamus (ImmPact lawsuit)
I know that you do not provide your opinion on joining the case, I am just asking if I am even eligible:
1) Am I allowed to join if my case number is not current yet?
2) Am I allowed to join if my country is NOT in the regional ban?
3) Do I need to include the names of my derivatives on the form or only the main DV selectee’s name is enough?
4) Am I allowed to join the case if I have not sent the supporting documents yet?(I will in 2 weeks) So far I only sent my DS-260 (#sendthebloodydocuments)
5) When I am filing out the “declaration”, there is a question: “What is your KCC Number (if you have one)?” Is it my DV case number? If no, could you please explain what is the “KCC number”?
6) It is also asking about the” Efforts to resolve”. Is it okay if I leave this page blank? Since I have not sent the supporting documents yet.
7) Let’s say the ImmPact team will win the case in June. But my case number will become current only in September, will I still benefit from the Court Decision?
Thank you:)
March 27, 2021 at 20:46
1. Yes
2. Yes
3. Follow their instructions.
4. Yes – but send the documents.
5. They mean case number.
6. Yes
7. Possibly.

Hi Brit,
Thanks for your amazing work!
I’m a French living in Canada since many years. My DV2021 case number is 17XX so very early and current. I also received the confirmation from KDC that I’m ready for the interview as all my documents are submitted.
Do you think I will be interviewed rapidly in the US embassy in Canada rapidly after the 30 March?
I supposed I am not affected my the Schengen ban? Should I join a lawsuit even if it doesn’t look needed at the moment?
Thanks in advance for your help and continue your great work!
Nico
March 27, 2021 at 20:47
I don’t know when Montreal will schedule interviews.
March 28, 2021 at 01:30
Thanks for the answer. Do you think there is any reasons for me to join the new lawsuit?
March 28, 2021 at 16:09
You have to make that decision for yourself.
March 26, 2021 at 23:28
hello brit first of all thanks for tt what you do, I have a curiosity, in the ds 260 where it asks you to list the residential addresses prior to the one entered up to sixteen years old I entered those up to before I got married, so above sixteen, it is quite right? did I not make mistakes?
March 27, 2021 at 20:47
That is correct.
March 27, 2021 at 00:07
Hello mr Simon
How are you doing
Please i want to know why a friends case is still showing at NVC, since he filled the ds260 from well and send his supporting documents back in septembre when the juge ordered the administration to resume visa services for dv2020 winners cuz he is one. Thanks for your reply
March 27, 2021 at 20:48
Because he has not been scheduled yet. Why is that – the reasons could vary. Your friend should talk for himself.
March 27, 2021 at 00:24
Hi sir,I went know if 2020 dv winner will still be call for interview
March 27, 2021 at 20:49
Still waiting for the Gomez case.
March 27, 2021 at 00:26
hi dear simone
I made a mistake in ds 260 in the part social media
I wrote my profile(linkedin) and (youtube) wrong it’s ok to let it like that or i should fix it
March 27, 2021 at 20:49
You can decide.
March 27, 2021 at 02:34
Hi Brit, is it possible to use a different email adrees rather than the one on the ds 260 to sumid documents to kcc. Thanks
March 27, 2021 at 20:49
Yes
March 27, 2021 at 04:34
Hi brit, I am waiting to be schedule for interview, I got document received email in November and my case is also current. I found my sponsor has quite low salary ( approx $3600 per month including overtime), he also have some stocks in his current company (Tesla). he has 4 member in his family including him and he is the only one working and I have 3 including me.
1. So is that salary enough to sponsor us?
2. If not when should I change sponsor ? I have my college friend and his wife working with good salary also in USA.
Thanks in advance. ?
March 27, 2021 at 20:50
1. Read the FAQ.
March 27, 2021 at 05:55
Hi Simon,
I’m a 19 year old student who won the DV. My question is how I can prove that I will not be a financial burden during the interview ? I do not have anyone in the US who can give me an I-134 and I am currently not working so I don’t have a lot of money in the bank. FYI my country does not require an I-134.
I was thinking of bringing my parent’s bank statements along with a letter that proves they will be funding all my expenses to the US. Another thing I thought of was for my parents to transfer $20k to my account and a letter that proves that this money is a gift from them to me. Is this allowed and possible ? Is the latter better than the former or vice versa ?
March 27, 2021 at 20:51
You can decide what you think gives you the best chance. My advice would be an I-134.
March 27, 2021 at 06:51
Hi Simon, have you heard from anyone with case number greater than 2021AF30K who have received mail asking for further supporting documents or got the ready for scheduling mail? I am just little curious to what is happening as I have been away from your blog for sometime.
March 27, 2021 at 20:52
Yes.
March 28, 2021 at 20:56
Case number 32*** still waiting for KCC’s email to send documents. DS 260 sent in August 2020
March 27, 2021 at 08:31
Hey BritSimon,I’m from Africa Case No. 9*** I had received an email from KCC 02/18/2021, Congratulations! Our records indicate that your case is ready to be scheduled for an interview when your case number becomes current and appointments are available. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on region and which case numbers have already been processed. But stile have no the 2nd notification letter so, is there any problem? maybe I contact to KCC? What Shall I do? thank you.
March 27, 2021 at 20:53
Patience. It depends on whether your embassy is accepting interviews or not.
March 28, 2021 at 00:26
Thank you.
March 27, 2021 at 08:54
Good morning Brit, please what is happening to the 9095 reserved visa hearing before Judge Mehta? We were told Government was suppose to file its motion of summary of judgment in march, then followed by Gomez lawyers but we have not heard anything about that again.
The last thing i read on your page was that we should expect hearing on late April or early may. Please what has changed ?
March 27, 2021 at 20:53
The timing of the final hearing has changed.
March 27, 2021 at 09:13
Hi Brit, am here DV21 AF23K a constant follower of all your sites. In fact, its devastating to see the amount charged by lawyers. U have been telling us about the #Anunciato’ and that there was no need to join any other lawsuit, only to tell us again that we can join current lawsuit yet we don’t know what went wrong with the hopes we had in #Anuncianto….The lawyers too seem to enjoy our predicaments and u seem to be their ‘SUPPORTER’ due to immense following you command. In fact 80% of us cant afford the very high costs. If the lawyers were really willing to assist, they should have started this as early as July last year course it was clear that no dv21 was to be attended to following what dv20 went through. And if the new lawsuit wins, it will disadvantage most of us with relatively low case numbers as kcc will shift to the named plaintiffs at our expense. Am sorry that I cant afford to raise 50 dollars, leave alone 2k, and if i do, it means i cant have enough coins to process on DV fees.Honest. Mr. Brit, my request is one as I know you do assist people regardless of the financial class…
Kindly, is it possible to be absorbed into the lawsuit as a needy case courtesy of you?
Thanks and am eager to hear from you soon. Sorry if i used inappropriate wording
Regards
March 27, 2021 at 09:49
Emma, I understand your frustration but there are reasons why this case won’t be a class action. I don’t agree that plaintiffs will disadvantage ‘most of you’ because there are many of us with very low numbers who have joined the lawsuit as we are all currently at risk. My number is as low as EU3** so in a normal year I would have had my interview back in October, long before you would have had the chance to have yours. Most of Europe is currently banned and it’s not fair but we just get on with it and we look for alternatives. Life goes on. Good luck and hope you get your interview scheduled soon ✌️
March 27, 2021 at 20:54
I have no ability to persuade the lawyers to work for free.
March 27, 2021 at 14:55
Hello brit.
I have a question about sending a certificate of exemption from military service. If I did not serve, is there a need to send the certificate To kcc or is it not required for sending
March 27, 2021 at 20:59
If military service is *required* in your country, then yes you will need to show why you did not complete it.
March 28, 2021 at 10:51
BritSimon, if one has 15 years old Certificate that shows why one was exempted from (at that time! obligatory) military service, will that document do? Or it should be with newer date?
March 28, 2021 at 16:01
I imagine that is OK – but it can vary by country which is why you need to read the instructions.
March 27, 2021 at 15:00
Hi Brit,
I’m a DV2021 winner with a high case number in SA.
We all know the reality of things and there is a high chance my case won’t be looked at. A work opportunity has come up and I could be moving to another country. If this would happen, is there a way I can change my embassy location? Just in case by some miracle my case gets looked at
Thanks in advance
March 27, 2021 at 21:00
Yes – you just change your address on the DS260 (which means unlocking)
March 27, 2021 at 20:22
Hi Brit. Thanks for all the help you have been extending to all DV selectees.
Have a question my case number is AS20XXX and we have submitted our DS-260 on March 9th 2021.
My husband’s passport will be expiring next year March 2022 .So we are planning to renew it this month. My question is:
1.Do I need to unlock DS-260 to update the new passport details or will it be ok if we take both old and new passports? We have not submitted our documents still.
2. Can I still send the new passport scan copy along with the old passport without updating DS-260?
3.Or we just continue with the old passport and take the new passport to the interview.
Thanks in advance Brit.
March 27, 2021 at 21:06

March 27, 2021 at 20:45
Good morning sir
Do you think your message to Mr Charlie oppenheim will change his decision about what he mentioned in his last speech?
Or we will see more increase in the visa bulletin for the next month?
Thank sir
March 27, 2021 at 21:05
I am hoping people are not emailing him with silly messages. He will take the data and calculate the numbers. Nothing more.
March 27, 2021 at 21:10
Dear Brit:
Once again grateful for what you do for us. I have two questions for you:
1. My sponsor sent me the I-134 but filled in the fields with different types of letters, some handwritten and some typewritten. Is there a problem with this or should it be written uniformly with the same letters? I did the test by filling in the fields to send it to him for him to sign, but there are fields that I could not fill in because they are not activated. Is this often with the form?
2. I received OK since February and my number is current since March. How is it possible that the embassy in which I will be interviewed quoted people this week who have a case number above mine?
March 27, 2021 at 22:00
1. Don’t overthink it. Just get it filled in however possible.
2. That is normal.
March 27, 2021 at 21:13
Hi Simon,
I’m in London, OC6XX low number. I’m considering joining the lawsuit because of my location. I have a low number should I still make the effort to join based on what we know. Sorry if I missed this answer.
March 27, 2021 at 22:01
You can decide for yourself. Do you think the regional ban will be removed? If you don’t think so, then the lawsuit is worthwhile.
March 27, 2021 at 21:50
Hello Sir. I am dv21 EU7xxx. I’ve got confirmation email ready to be scheduled. Also consulate is working on dv visas. This year everthing is different and I would like to know if I am in danger and would you advice me to participate in the new lawsuit?
March 27, 2021 at 22:01
You have to decide for yourself.
March 27, 2021 at 22:17
how is it that KCC is verifying documents and scheduling interview for winners without passports/doesn’t qualify for the exemption?.. Or did they just leave it for the CO to decide?
March 28, 2021 at 00:48
It’s too early to tell. So far KCC have been asking people to prove their reason for not providing a passport as part of the documents procedure. That will stop many cases, but some people might still be interviewed and we don’t know if those will be denied or not.
March 27, 2021 at 22:32
Hello,
We had a sponsor and put it on the ds260 form, and we have now an appointment on embassy in the first week of May. Now I have other sponsor and I dont know if I must write kcc to open my ds260 to change the sponsor or what can I do?
March 28, 2021 at 00:48
No need. Just tell them at the interview.
March 27, 2021 at 23:37
Hi Simon, do you know any dv2020 who was admitted while pp10014 was in place and received their green card? Mine has not been received yet over 3 months.
March 28, 2021 at 00:49
It can take three to four months. Are you sure the address on the DS260 was good?
March 28, 2021 at 04:37
Yes, I have been checking uscis tracker wnd calling them every week. I am worried this has to do with entering in December it self as PP10014 was not cancelled yet. Do you know anyone similar who received their green card?
March 28, 2021 at 16:07
I don’t track all of them. Just be patient.
March 28, 2021 at 16:45
Thanks Simon
March 28, 2021 at 00:45
Hi,
I submitted the documents to KCC around two weeks ago.
I have a child who’s US Citizen and I mentioned him on the DS-260 as “will not be migrating with us”.
Do I need to re-send the documents and submit a copy of his passport along with the rest of the documents.
March 28, 2021 at 00:49
No
March 28, 2021 at 02:12
Helo Brit wish you and ur famly the best
2 Qs these days, most of dv 2021 winners are sending supportive document with out requested.
1. The instruction says ‘after processing ds 260 you will receive a request of supporting document’ and after processing supportive doc. 2nl. doesn’t this make problem?
2. what will happen if some one didn’t send supportive document whether asked or not?
March 28, 2021 at 16:10
1. It’s a bigger problem to never send the documents.
2. No greencard.
March 28, 2021 at 02:27
Hi Brit,
Can you think of any negative consequences to plaintiffs by participating DV-2021 Mandamus Case besides the fee would be a waste if the litigation doesn’t bring the result.
This is my first time being a part of a litigation in my life. So just want to know if anything I need to consider.
Many thanks in advance for your time, as always.
March 28, 2021 at 16:09
No negatives.
March 28, 2021 at 03:21
Hellow Brit, My case number AS12xxx which is current in May. I received KCC email requesting document and sent all required docs on November 2020. Other than the auto reply, no other communications or confirmations from KCC for past 4 months. Given that fact that most predict AS region might be current, do you think I will be benefitting joining Mandamus Litigation? or should I wait assuming KCC will schedule me for an interview prior Sept?
March 28, 2021 at 16:08
You have to make that decision for yourself.
March 28, 2021 at 06:02
Hi Simon
In this topic where you explained about should an applican present his savings. https://britsimonsays.com/all-about-public-charge-affidavit-of-support-i-134/
I can not present saving which will have 20k neither I dont have a job offer from US employer nor someone who can provide support in the US. All I can do is to present 10k savings for 2 adult and 1 infant.
So at the US embassy in Qatar they have a document required checklist where there is not mentione about providing proof of saving. However we will bring with ourself to interview a bank statement with 10k savings in case if they will ask.
Do you think it will couse rejecting our visa? If there is only a 10k. Or should we also prepare a real estate/property document (which is belong to us as we had invested in it but on papers owners are my parents thats bcz we are living in 2 different countries)
Thank you
March 28, 2021 at 16:06
It’s up to the CO.
March 28, 2021 at 17:19
Hi Bek,
Great to know of another DV applicant in Qatar. Please may I know your CN and when’s your interview? My CN is AS 79XX. I will also interview in Qatar once I receive 2NL. I sent my documents in December and still patiently waiting for document confirmation.
Like many others emailed and called KCC, but no response other than the automatic one.
March 28, 2021 at 09:24
Hi simon. I made a mistake on translate documents. “I” translated birth certificate and sent it. (should not be myself or someone related to me..)
How should I contact KCC?
1, Should I sent whole documents again
2, or e-mail KCC to notify my mistake before send my new doc.
Thank you.
March 28, 2021 at 16:05
Get a proper translation and send the whole package again.
March 28, 2021 at 17:28
Talking about translations:
Simon, would you say that a translation provided by the public organism that signs the paper (a police certificate in this case) as an annexed document in 2 languages (national + local) + multilingual translations (including english) is valid or considered “proper”?
Thank you.
March 30, 2021 at 11:00
Good morning Simon. Kindly answer this question as I sent you a mail on and attached the police certificate. Is it ok if the document is in many languages including English?
March 30, 2021 at 21:05
As I have said many times, I don’t answer emails sent without my approval.
March 30, 2021 at 20:39
Yes
March 28, 2021 at 10:09
Hello BritSimon
1) i renewed my passport in February-2021 (3 months later after i submitted my documents to kcc) could that caused a delay on our documents acceptance?
2) my husband (Main applicant) used to work on ships as an electrical engineer so he would spend up to 6 months in the sea but he didn’t have a residency for any of countries he entered and he didn’t use his passport to enter these countries (They use their seaman service book to enter from countries port)
A. He didn’t enter a country and stayed more than 2-3 weeks
B. We listed all the countries he entered in the DS form
So is there some-kind of police certificate we’re missing?
3. Im also a winner with a high case number AS31xxx
Should i submit my ds-260 for us not to waste this opportunity assuming it would be current in june or we should only focus on my husband lowest case number AS11XXX
March 28, 2021 at 16:04
1. How would that affect your processing??
2. 2. No
3. Just focus on the lower number case unless you are concerned he will not meet the requirements for education or something.
March 28, 2021 at 10:57
BritSimon, it is not required to submit DS260 Police certificate for kid(s) under 16 years of age?
March 28, 2021 at 16:01
Have you read the instructions?
March 28, 2021 at 17:57
Yes, I read the instructions, and I admit they now confuse me concerning this issue.. First, I was sure (?) that Police certificate for kids under 16 is not required… But then it started me thinking..
Why?
Because on Step 7: CCD, is written:
“After you complete your DS-260(s), you and each family member immigrating with you MUST collect the civil documents required to support your visa application.”
On Reciprocity page, for my country, is written:
“Please note: Both the Police and Court Records are required from applicants.”
March 30, 2021 at 20:41
I’m not sure how this could be confusing. None of the scenarios listing would suggest kids need police certs.
March 28, 2021 at 12:01
Hi Brit , I just want to make sure that if my son will turn 16 next June, we should not submit a police certificate for him right now.Am I right? He is born on 14 June 2005
March 28, 2021 at 16:00
Have you read the instructions?
March 28, 2021 at 20:59
Yes sure
I mean they consider Day and month of his birth not only year of birth ,right?
March 30, 2021 at 20:44
His age.
March 29, 2021 at 11:00
hi layan , same case but i submitted his police certificate with my documents in OCT 2020 before he turned 16(01 DEC 2005) and asked Mr simon if an addition paper will harm us , his answer was no harm if you sent it .
any new news about the email confirmation?
March 29, 2021 at 18:26
Really!!! I am thinking of each and every issue that might be a cause for delay. Till now I didn’t find any.
It seems that they are processing by case number order and we have to wait…
Still didn’t receive the confirmation email
March 28, 2021 at 12:49
Simon! Hiiii
Just wanted to let you know, arrived on Feb 27 and just got my green card in the mail! Wooohooo didn’t expect it to be that fast!
Yayyy!
All thanks to you!
Come to Florida!!!
March 28, 2021 at 16:00
Great
March 28, 2021 at 16:09
I ask kcc and they told me that I’m documentary qualified but I didn’t receive the ready email !!!
1)Is that normal
2) in that situation can I ask the embassy for an interview if my number become current !!!!
Algerian embassy
March 30, 2021 at 20:39
1. It can be, yes. It’s too vague a question.
2. No
March 28, 2021 at 19:02
Hi Britsimon,
I have already entered in US through DV2020 but my spouse couldnot get a visa to come together with me because of medical hold. I could apply for i-130 for the spouse visa after my Greencard arrives or wait for 9095 reserved visa decision.
What would you suggest me, can two process go together? Thank you.
March 30, 2021 at 20:41
You can try both, but realistically I think your DV case ended when you entered. So – go ahead with I-130.
March 28, 2021 at 20:30
Hey Brit, in my country (Albania), according to the Visa Reciprocity page, police certificates are unavailable. I also asked at the police and they said they don’t provide a police certificate. But at the Visa Reciprocity page https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Albania.html it also says about Police Records which can be obtained form the Ministry of Justice. Do I need to obtain those instead? (I have no criminal record if that matters.)
Thanks a lot!
March 30, 2021 at 20:43
I did not see anything to assume police certs are unavailable.
March 30, 2021 at 22:19
I don’t think I can send screenshots here but it says so in the “Police, Court, Prison Records” section, in the very bottom.
It says:
Police Certificates
Unavailable
March 30, 2021 at 22:29
@ Albania
Do not get confused.
Apply at Albanian Post Office for “Vertetim i Gjendjes Gjyqesore or Deshmi Penaliteti” and if your interviewing post is not Tirana than you have to mention which post while applying.
You are not supposed to submit the police certificate but only but only a copy of the application’s fee receipt.
See Below:
“NVC no longer receives Ministry of Justice certificates, but only a copy of the application’s fee receipt. By arrangement with the Albanian authorities, court certificates for applicants for U.S. visas are transferred directly to U.S. Embassy Tirana. Therefore the applicant will not receive an original copy of the criminal court certificate nor is it necessary for them to send the document to NVC. Only court certificates obtained directly through U.S. Embassy Tirana are acceptable; applicants may not present their own certificates. Applicants should send NVC a copy of the receipt of payment as evidence that they have applied for the judicial status certificate.”
Good Luck!
March 31, 2021 at 16:52
Well that makes sense. The wording was a bit confusing because it’s not referred to as a “police certificate”, but I did apply for it and will submit the receipt. Thanks a lot!
April 1, 2021 at 03:20
What it says is
“Police Records
The Albanian police clearance consists of a criminal court certificate from the Ministry of Justice concerning any convictions. “
March 28, 2021 at 22:17
Hi Brit
I have a question regarding the document scanning process, I scanned the documents using the scanner, but there was a white space around the document. Does this affect the document processing process? Should the scanning process be completely on the size of the document without showing any aspects around it?
And the other question, I sent the passport photo in a horizontal format, not in a vertical way. Does this also affect?
March 30, 2021 at 20:45
Overthinking.
March 28, 2021 at 22:55
You have been so resourceful to us all. God bless you..
Pls, per your post on submitting supporting documents,
After writing my CN in the subject and chosen the the required documents,
1. Can I write my full name and date of birth . ?
Thank you
March 30, 2021 at 20:46
1. Yes, but it is not required.
March 29, 2021 at 00:49

With take consider the other winner possible his interview held on September or July
March 30, 2021 at 20:47
I already answered.
March 30, 2021 at 20:53
Hi Huzifa,
Are you interviewing in Khartoum embassy?
March 29, 2021 at 01:46
Hi Simon ..
I am a refugee in a European country.
But I have a 10-year travel document from the country of asylum.
when I started apply DS 260. There are two options, either a passport or other travel document.
When choosing a passport, there are boxes to write the data, including the passport number.
When selecting another travel document, the data entry checkboxes disappear.
I did the second step ( because what I have is travel document from the current country and not original passport from my original country ) , and is what I did is it right ??
Or do I have to choose the first option and write the travel document information as it the passport information.
The confuse that this issue in DS260 is not entirely clear.

The new passport rule is exactly that – new. So your situation has not been “tested” yet – so all you can do is see what the CO says.

Hi Brit… I wish you are well. My case background : CN 2021AS4900 , from Nepal. Current in VB, documents are received by KCC. considering to transfer my case. If I request the related consulate to transfer my case.. 1) generally how long does it take to be transferred ? 2) Is there any risk like not scheduling for interview after transfer ?
March 30, 2021 at 20:49

Hi Britsimon how r u? am not filling the DS260 yet b/s it was locked i send to kcc to reopen the ds 260 they send me a massage ” In order to continue processing your case, the primary Diversity Visa applicant (DV-1) must schedule an appointment to appear in person at the United States Embassy in ur country” and a make an appointment to local embassy they said come with the valid passport for prescreening
1. is it bad thing why they say prescreening is it affect my proccessing ? why would they ask to come with the passport do u have an idea thanks

That happens in a small minority of cases – and generally doesn’t mean anything bad. Just follow their instructions.
March 29, 2021 at 07:27
Hello Brit!
If im in a country where the embassy is open for DV, is it worth it to join the lawsuit?
March 30, 2021 at 20:51
I can’t give a precise answer – it would depend on various factors and you should therefore make up your own mind.
March 29, 2021 at 08:01
Let KCC work normally, only few cases (with lower numbers) gonna get the visas!
Let’s sue them to force them work a bit faster! Again the few cases ( esp. with higher numbers) gonna get the visas!
So, the conclusion is, either way only the few DV winners will have the advantage!
And, the lawyers will get the bingo ! Thanks for the mess !!

Some negative attitude you have there Krish.
This past year has been unprecedented, no one could have predicted Covid.
They are processing, but as it says when you enter its not a guarantee even when selected.

You just have to remain patient. Is Dakar interviewing DV cases?
March 30, 2021 at 22:06
My cousin’s CN is AF76xx (seven thousand) he received his 2NL on 11 March and has interview appointment at U.S. Embassy in Dakar on 20 April. He’s already registered his appointment with the Embassy and will attend his medical examination on 12 April.

Dear Simon,
Hi
I am one of the winners of the 2021 lottery from Iran
Given the repeal of Trump’s decree, we no longer have a problem obtaining a visa?
Do embassies invite for interviews (US Embassy in Ankara)?
My case number is about 19,000.
Thank You
Masoud

There are still COVID related problems with travel, embassy closures and so on.
March 29, 2021 at 10:20
Good morning Brit. Thank you for all the follow up and information you give us concerning DV.
Quick question please. I have been in the USA for alomost 3 weeks to a month now with no social security. I called thieroffice severally and finally they told me if by the 7th I haven’t received it, I should book an appointment with them. The issue is that i have to travel to the UK to finish up my 1 year MSc i started which will be ending by January 2022 and I before the 7th else my visa will expire.
So i am just concerned if it is safe to do so?
March 30, 2021 at 20:57
You can get the SSN at a later date – no problem.
March 29, 2021 at 11:29
Hi Brit,
Thank you for all the help.
Just a small question:
My case number is AS19XXX. I am thinking of submitting my documents to KCC
I need to get my police certificate from my country of nationality – i.e. UAE. However, in UAE, each state gives a separate police certificate
I have lived in 2 states: Sharjah (up to age 13) and Dubai (age 13 and onwards).
My question is: Do I need to provide police certificates from both states? Or is a certificate from Dubai enough – as my DS-260 has no mention of Sharjah?
I do not mind submitting both, if submitting extra documents is not an issue
Please let me know
Regards,
Shariq

I don’t know – but I urge you to read the reciprocity page where that will be made clear.
