The new Visa Bulletin has been released. This one is for interviews in June, and as Charlie Oppenheim said he would do – he made the regions current.
Current means can be scheduled for interview (apart from the “except” countries which still have a number limit). However, they will ONLY schedule interviews where the case is “ready for scheduling” (meaning the DS260 and documents have been processed), AND the embassy is operating (open) to accept the interview. PLUS right now, less than 90 embassies are accepting interviews, and none of the embassies are taking high volume.
So – I am worried. I think DV2021 is going to be a mess, and making the regions current probably makes it worse.
I discuss the problem in more detail here:
To those new to looking at VBs, let me explain what the “except” XXX country means. Some countries have been called out as “exceptions” meaning that selectees chargeable to those two countries (regardless of where they will interview) are subject to a lower VB number for the month than the rest of the region. This is done to slow down processing for countries with a high number of selectees to spread out the workload over a longer time. Please read this linked article on how to read the visa bulletin.

Hello Britt,
I submitted my Ds-260 on March 13th
I Sent my documents on April 5th
On April 8th, I received an email from KCCdocuments asking for the required documents.
My KCC number is AS17K.
How do you interpret this?
April 20, 2021 at 21:59
I wouldn’t try an interpret it – just check in a week or two whether they have processed your documents.
April 20, 2021 at 22:00
I should probably add, we have seen that sending documents (without being requested) seems to prompt them in some cases to the ask for the documents.
April 20, 2021 at 17:32
Thanks for the updated Brit.
I have some a question.
With the new development of all numbers Current , will they observe priority?, Say for instance, if I’m number 5000 from Nairobi and ready for interview since Dec and a 24000 number in same embassy is also ready with the new developments, will the prioritize the first case or it will be random?
April 20, 2021 at 22:48
Random.
April 20, 2021 at 17:34
Goodmorning mr Brit Simon, what does it mean? Since we are all current how will they process all the dv lottery cases? They asked for my documents in September and I sent them several times but never got an ansia I kept on sending them. Can this cause a delay in the process? My cn is eu15000. It says that my case is currently at kcc.
April 20, 2021 at 22:51
The video embedded above explains my concerns. They cannot process all the cases. So – we now have another lottery.
April 21, 2021 at 12:02
So if I send the certificate of citizenship of my husband at the embassy in my country can they make the process faster and my interview as well? Since my husband is an American citizen?
Also, if I go personally to the kcc , will they be willing to make me talk to them and just to see if my documents are correct?
April 21, 2021 at 21:10
No your husbands’ status won’t help, and no you cannot visit KCC.
April 20, 2021 at 17:35
Hi brit,
Where i reside, the embassy is open for Interviews(UAE). shall i change the location of the interview since my case number is high (26000) and my country of chargeability is closed for interviews.
April 20, 2021 at 22:52
You will be scheduled according to your current address.
April 21, 2021 at 06:38
but the location of the interview in Ds-260 is the country of chargeability, not the country where i reside ?
it will be changed by default ?
April 21, 2021 at 20:34
Again, it is by default based on where you live.
April 20, 2021 at 17:38
Thank you for the updated
Can this be considered as a kind of good news for mandamus planntif with quite high CN (if we suppose that we will get succes at the court) i’m one of the 20 plantifs that figures in the main page of Lawswit (my CN is AF65K) ?
April 20, 2021 at 18:15
Hi, where did u see the document? Can you share the link pls?
Thanks
April 21, 2021 at 07:15
Lazlo : I recived an email from Siskind Susser
And thank you brit for your answer
April 20, 2021 at 22:52
Possibly.
April 21, 2021 at 23:25
NANI How do you see the names on the lawsuit? I’m a named plaintiff too!
April 20, 2021 at 17:44
Hi Britsimons,
Now that all cases are ‘CURRENT” Will my chances be enhanced if I am a named plantiff in a lawsuit in case the suit is won?
April 20, 2021 at 22:52
Yes
April 20, 2021 at 17:49
Thank you so much for your help, I have a doubt, Iam from Lima, Peru now a days embassy is not accepting dv’s but assuming they start soon, my case number is 3x8x and we sent our documents on August, already received mail saying they got them, are they gonna sent 2nl’s respecting the date the documents were sent or in numerical order to the ones whose documents are in NVC
April 20, 2021 at 22:53
The order will not be by case number. It will be a matter of what cases are ready for scheduling – and then somewhat luck.
April 22, 2021 at 15:11
Hi Claudia, this is Alicia. My brother is also from Lima and has a similar case number as yours. My brother sent his documents in November. Could you please tell me when did you get the email saying that they send the 2nl’s? was it immediately you send your documents or weeks after?
April 20, 2021 at 17:52
Hi Simon, do you think cases in South America won’t be affected as much since the two embassies with the most cases (Lima, Caracas) are closed?
April 20, 2021 at 22:54
I don’t know.
April 20, 2021 at 18:06
Hello mr simon! Please give me your openion ! Thats vb current will help whom joint last lawsuit goh/blikin ? Or not mattar for height numbers
Thanks you
April 20, 2021 at 22:54
It could help named plaintiffs with high numbers.
April 20, 2021 at 18:14
hi , Brit, thanks for the amazing job, i am a DV 2021 winner , and till date , i have not been able to access the DS 260 FORM, i keep getting the error message that my case number currently unavailable , i have written KCC several time and also call several time , i was told that , there is possibility on my original date of birth was wrong and they cannot inform me , either the month or day was entered wrongly, please any advice on how to proceeds , my case number 2021AF00062XXX

Thank, mr Brit, can you please help verify for me, as you did for the other guy, i will supply you with the details
April 21, 2021 at 21:02
No – that is why I make videos – so watch the video and help yourself.
April 21, 2021 at 16:46
Good evening Mr Britsimon, hope your doing great, please i dont know if you can help verify for my using the five details , to see what is wrong with my DS260 Form, i will be able to provide all the details
April 20, 2021 at 18:17
Dv2021 was ever a mess and we all knew about it at the beginning. Sad!
April 20, 2021 at 18:27
I am so sad to hear that all numbers are current. This makes it much worse for everyone. How are they going to prioritise who to schedule if case numbers are not taken into account anymore? Does that mean only countries where Embassies are working will go forward, and the rest will miss it even though our case number is low?
Lawsuit hearings are done online, why Embassies cannot do the same?
I am desperate, BritSimon. I don’t know what to do. 2021EU12K, waiting for docs checked email, Embassy not working, plaintiff in Goh case.
April 20, 2021 at 22:59
Being a named plaintiff might help you, all you can do is wait and see.
April 20, 2021 at 18:33
Hi Brit,
My case number is 2021EU4XXX and I am based in Athens Greece. I have received my scheduling email since last October and my case has been current for almost 6 months. I have recently contacted the US embassy in Athens asking if they are scheduling any sorts of immigrant visas including DVs and they have only answered that once my cases is scheduled I will be notified via email by the KCC. Should I interpret this as a sign that they are scheduling interviews? With such a low number and a ready for scheduling case do u think that I will be scheduled soon? Also where can I find if my embassy is operating? Is there some sort of list somewhere indicating that?
I am really sorry for asking all those questions but it is really annoying that nobody gives a solid answer and the only solution is to speculate what will happen.
Best,
Ilias
April 20, 2021 at 23:02
Athens is not scheduling yet.
You can see the details here:

April 20, 2021 at 19:53
Hi Brit,
I am a DV21 winner from Morocco. My case number is around AF50.7K! My ds260 submitted 06/09/2020 & received the ready for scheduling email in August 2020. So as you can see I am documentarily qualified and my number is current for June. My embassy in Casablanca, Morocco is accepting DV cases. NOW, my question is: do you think I have a chance to get an interview before the deadline ? Thank you for the great efforts.
(only problem I have now is the slow interviews as I’m not sure they can reach me with this pace)
April 20, 2021 at 23:24
Your guess is as good as mine.
April 23, 2021 at 09:01
Did they asked you to send documents or you just send them without their request
April 20, 2021 at 20:00
Good Day Simon,
I saw that there are too many REFUSED after interview?! So far are around 50%! A huge number!
Is it normal? Why there are so many Refused? What do you think is the reason?
Thank you for your time,
Regards,
Nick
April 20, 2021 at 23:26
There are only 100 or so cases refused. That is too few to know anything.
April 21, 2021 at 07:57
Abu Dabhi’s refuse rate is 100% so far!
April 20, 2021 at 20:50
Just wanted to share some good news with my fellow DV winners who are hoping to have their interviews in London. This update was posted today at 17:27 on their website.
‘SECTION 3: Immigrant and Fiancé(e) Visas
We have now begun to process all immigrant visa categories. However, appointments remain extremely limited as we begin to resume services due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions. We are unable to provide timescales as to when your case will be processed but thank you for your patience while we continue to clear the backlog caused by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.’
Fingers crossed we see some 2NLs in London in May.
April 21, 2021 at 00:00
Oh that is good news!
April 20, 2021 at 21:19
Hi Brit, thanks for your efforts. My question is, since my CN is now current, is there any advante in being plaintiff? Will be any kind of pressure on KCC to process plaintiff’s cases o any kind of prioritization ?
April 21, 2021 at 00:02
The lawyers will try and get priority for named cases.
April 20, 2021 at 21:20
Hi BritSimon! Thank you so much for your updates.
My case is 2021EU34XXX and I already submitted my DS260 (with no answer from KCC) because I planned to go to Europe to do my interview as part of the CP.
Nowadays, I am thinking on switching to AoS as I am currently living in the US with a valid VISA but I wanted to see if you know about any similar case and its outcome. Not sure if i should do it or wait.
That being said, I believe if I switch to AoS I do not need to get the 2NL and I can submit all my documents to the USCIS as soon as I modify my DS260 and KCC confirms, but not before. Is that correct?
Then, can I submit documents this month or should I wait until next month as my case will be current in June per the bulletin?
Thank you so much for all your help!
April 21, 2021 at 00:03
You could file AOS today. OR wait for a CP interview. Your choice, but honestly – you need to get a move on if you plan to file AOS.
April 21, 2021 at 00:34
Thank you so much!
I thought I could not file AoS until my case was current.
Do I need to get a KCC notification after I modify my DS260 or can I send everything to USCIS tomorrow?
Sorry to bother you but I believe your case was also current in June and you went AoS, do you think I am late to do it this way?
Thanks!
April 21, 2021 at 16:29
The DS260 is not a necessary part of AOS – but paying the AOS fee is required. You should already know these things – so it seems like you need to do some homework – fast.
I strongly suggest you go to the link below, check out the information linked from the first post in that thread. It has everything you need to know, and “Sm1smom” is the expert on DV related AOS.
https://forums.immigration.com/threads/dv-2021-aos-only.342993/
April 20, 2021 at 21:29
I think the main reason why all numbers are current is due to the closure of some USA embassies worldwide. Priority will now be given to DV selcties whose embassies are operating at full capacity. I think case number order will still be taken into consideration but the embassies to process the cases must open.
April 21, 2021 at 00:03
Nope.
April 20, 2021 at 23:15
Dear Simon,
If a country has just 40 lottery winners, and the first winner’s case number is let’s say 20K, in this current case, will the KCC wait/focus on other previous cases to be scheduled or KCC may schedule an interview earlier in this country? My question is in general: are winners in significantly lower number countries (<100) in better off?
So, I have CN 20K, and wanted to know if I am more chancier in Czechia where average num.of.winners is 40 approx.?
Best
April 21, 2021 at 00:05
It’s all a bit random.
April 21, 2021 at 03:46
Hi brit!! Great news! Is there any difference between memeber of the litigation and be named plaintiff?
I have entered the impact team lawsuit, but I don’t understand if all the members would have the privilege in case the lawsuit would have a favorable result. Or only people named in the main page?
Thanks
April 21, 2021 at 16:53
The lawsuit aims to get priority for the named plaintiffs, and “might” help others.
April 21, 2021 at 17:27
Thanks. As i have paid to entered, i might have some priviledge.
Sorry for my English! I am learnng it!
April 21, 2021 at 00:37
Hi Mr Simon thanks for the update.
I have some issue right now, I have submitted all my supporting documents.
This is my CN AF202100081829
So my question is can I be part of any lawsuit?or wait? Please help me Sir.
April 21, 2021 at 16:30
The question is have your documents been processed. You should contact KCC to find out. I think Curtis Morrison may be adding plaintiffs – I’m not certain.
April 20, 2021 at 23:26
Hi Mr Simon, you said “This is done to slow down processing for countries with a high number of selectees”. In AF region: Sudan, Algeria and Egypt each has 6000 selectees. Why Egypt is the only exception within the region?
April 21, 2021 at 00:16
Because the other countries don’t get the high response and success rates that Egypt does.
April 21, 2021 at 00:58
What are your expectations for the next Visa bulletin for Egypt?
could it be current at the end for egypt?
April 21, 2021 at 16:31
I can’t predict what will happen for Egypt or the other limited countries.
April 21, 2021 at 16:35
Dear Simon, my cn is 2021AF25k from Ethiopis and was current in may vb. I sent the supporting docs 6 weeks ago but didn’t get whether kcc is satisfied with my docs or not. I am thinking to email them if they are satisfied with my docs,
1.what do you advise me to do?
2. sending this email may negatively impact my process?
Thanking you sir,
April 21, 2021 at 21:20
1. Ask them
2. No
April 22, 2021 at 22:40
Hi brit, with all of this happening to dv2021 selectees, whats your expectation for 2022
Winners.
April 23, 2021 at 17:29
I think Covid impacts will continue, though hopefully not as bad as it is at this time.
April 21, 2021 at 00:18
Hello brit
My case number 2021 AF 30XXX from Egypt
Do you expect egypt to become current as well as the rest of regions in the upcoming visa bulletin ?
Also I am named plaintif in jacob case
Will it help me to get interviewed if the court gives us a judge in our side ?
Thanks
April 21, 2021 at 16:27
I can’t predict what will happen for Egypt or the other limited countries.
Being on Jacob might help if you become current.
April 21, 2021 at 00:43
Hi Britsimon
I am a 2021 winner from Srilanka, AS 31XXX and submitted my DS260 about 6 months ago. not received any feedback yet and didn’t submit the rest of the documents. Is this the good time to submit the other documents now?
April 21, 2021 at 16:31
If you don’t submit them now you will never get interviewed – so send your documents.
April 22, 2021 at 08:42
Hi Britsimon
thanks for your reply. btw since mine was a high number AS31XXX (SRILANKA) I didn’t get ready with police certificates yet. Can I still proceed with sending the other supporting documents with a note on delay in getting the police certificates. or else do I have to wait till I get the police certificates.
I went through your video on sending supporting documents and there it clearly said not to send the incomplete documents
thanks
April 23, 2021 at 17:00
As you already know, you cannot send incomplete documents.
April 21, 2021 at 03:55
Hi Brit i follow about every video and live session you do thanks for all the help, i feel depressed for the current situation since i am from Egypt i got the confirmation mail ( documents received and ready for schedule) in Jan also i knew through the few people that got interviewed that the embassy in Cairo is working with very minimum staff just one council working on all kinds of visas, is joining a case like Goh v. Blikin is a must now for my situation or it wouldn’t even help now cause i don’t know where Egypt numbers are capped (highest number in Egypt ) CN :AF10500
April 21, 2021 at 16:54
Your docs are ready and you’re current. You’re in as good a position as you can be – although being on a lawsuit would help.
April 21, 2021 at 17:06
Here is the waitlist for the GOH lawsuit
https://gsiskind.app.law/waiting-list
April 22, 2021 at 01:43
i did it thanks sir
April 21, 2021 at 04:02
Hi, again Simon.
I would like to ask, if you dont mind different question. I see a lot of refusal, more than 35% did not get visa…What do you think may be the reason, this year? Every third person…
Thank you for you time, and dedication.
April 21, 2021 at 04:12
We don’t have a lot of data only around 150 people have been issued a visa. It is not an accurate representation.
April 21, 2021 at 06:51
Hello Mr Brit. My CN is 2021AF22k, I sent the DS260 in September. So far the KCC has not asked me to send my documents. What to do?
April 21, 2021 at 20:35
#SendTheBloodyDocuments
If you don’t do that in the next few days you can forget the Greencard.
April 21, 2021 at 16:55
The numbers are too small to leap to conclusions.
April 21, 2021 at 18:23
Thank you, but still. Not looking good,
April 22, 2021 at 05:09
2021AF22000 is my case number. Can I send the supporting documents even if the KCC has not yet notified me to send them?
April 22, 2021 at 16:18
Yes…pls send them now
April 22, 2021 at 18:26
Time is being out so send them as soon as possible. Otherwise no interview or nothing
April 23, 2021 at 16:54
Yes. Just as I have been saying for MONTHS!
April 21, 2021 at 05:33
Hi Mr Simon
You said to submit our documents in the comment section in your latest youtube video. I want to send them but I don’t know what are the required documents and how they want them to be emailed.
Could you please give me an idea?

April 21, 2021 at 06:47
hello Brit, what do you think, more cases for nepal will be updated in upcoming VB update regarding dv2021?
April 21, 2021 at 20:35
I don’t know.
April 21, 2021 at 07:31
Hi Simon
I have a question, we are based in Fiji Islands and we had been scheduled for an interview in May however due to a new covid case we are currently in lock down, we contacted the embassy who advised all interviews are currently on hold until lockdown and situation lifts, will the embassy reschedule? What generally happens in this situation? Please reply
Thanks
April 21, 2021 at 20:37
There is no “generally”. This situation hasn’t happened before.
April 21, 2021 at 08:40
Please what is new for 2020 dv lottery winner?
April 21, 2021 at 21:00
Nothing new.
April 21, 2021 at 09:36
Thanks for ur immense help Brit. My question is ,1. Is there any ongoing lawsuits that i can join even though my case number is low ie AF2*** and have successfully submitted requested documents and gotten the ready for scheduling email frm KCC since Ghana embassy is working on a limited visas and DV is out.
April 21, 2021 at 09:39
I got ready for scheduling email back in September last year
April 21, 2021 at 21:01
Two lawsuits that may accept new plaintiffs.

April 21, 2021 at 22:42
Thanks Brit. I’m grateful ????
April 21, 2021 at 10:26
Hi! Mr. Brit thank you so much for your efforts and time. I have just recieved this email after asking the KCC about my case status. My CN AF19K and the embassy is working and they reached to the case number 5k for April and May interviews.
Your case number is now current for interview processing. Once the interview date has been scheduled, you will receive notification via email to check https://dvprogram.state.gov. If you need to make changes to your DS-260 you should contact the consular section where you will be interviewed, or bring the information about your changes to your interview appointment. Because your case is ready to be scheduled, KCC can no longer unlock your application.
1. What does this email mean?
2. Do I have to do anything else?
Thank you
April 21, 2021 at 21:03
If you had checked the FAQ you would have your answer. That email normally means you can expect a 2NL very soon.
April 21, 2021 at 11:38
Hi Simon!
Do you think Iran, Nepal and Egypt will be current also? Or they may leave those three countries at cut off numbers for September?
Best regrads,
April 21, 2021 at 21:06
I don’t know.
April 21, 2021 at 12:37
please can i get the link to check my case status whether my documents are in progress
April 21, 2021 at 21:10
There is no such link.
April 21, 2021 at 13:51
Since I have a valid US visit visa, and my case number is high, 25000, do you recommend moving to USA and starting AOS?
P.s I have already submitted the DS-260
April 21, 2021 at 21:13
Depending on the type of visa you may have to wait at least 90 days after entry which would make AOS very late.
April 21, 2021 at 15:00
Maybe making all numbers current will favours those joined the plaintiff and other lawsuits . So what of those who did not? It is not fair at all. Interviews should be base inorder of case numbers.
It is sad to go under such !
April 21, 2021 at 15:21
Thank you so much Brit.
I submitted my ds 260 last June 25,2020 and as per your advice to submit the documents , I have just done so on Monday April 19,2021.
April 21, 2021 at 16:26
Hi Brit,
I am from Indonesia and I haven’t submitted my DS-260. Having had a high case number has refrained me from applying because I don’t want it to affect my future visa application to the US if I ended up not getting interviewed. Now, that the regions are all current I guess case numbers don’t matter anymore. Should I proceed with submitting my application given that the US embassy in Indonesia is open? When do you think we should submit DS-260 at the latest?
April 21, 2021 at 21:19
This is the latest. Submit now or forget it. As it is there are no guarantees you will get an interview – so you will have to decide whether to gamble or not.
April 21, 2021 at 16:57
Good day Mr. Brit Simon,
First of all thank you for your great effort in helping DV winners with wealth of information. My question is : Is there a possibility that Charlie Oppenheim has information from KCC that very few winners submitted their actual DS260s and Documents because of COVID 19 and other personal reasons? Is this theory possible sir? I feel this is the reason VB is CURRENT from June and cases will be chosen RANDOMLY bases on ready for scheduling.
Thank you Brit!
April 21, 2021 at 21:22
Is it possible? Yes
Is it correct?
No – of course not. 132k people?
April 22, 2021 at 13:38
Hey Simon,
I read your theory of VB going current by bringing the argument that Charlie Oppenheim doesn’t have the correct information on the real demand on Visas. Starting from this, you advised to send the documents without request (btw thank you for that i sent them 2 months ago, otherwise i would still be waiting for an email).
My first question is: The information that KCC delivers to Charlie is about the DS-submitted or processed? If the first one, then i don’t know what the hell is going on as most of the people have expressed their will to migrate by submitting DS-260, If second one then all to blame is KCC for this mess. Hope the lawyers use the missinformation on court.
Second question: Embassy in Tirana Albania has scheduled 8 interviews in April but no interview on May, June.. the COVID situation is day by day getting better with the vaccination and everything else. Their website shows that they schedule DV, but their actions don’t. Is there any chance KCC is not working at all and not sending files, i know people with CN less that 100 who got document verification since October 2020 and getting no interview date. This is getting ridiculous. Hope the lawyers use these information on court too.
Thank you Simon, you are amazing by answering all people’s questions. God bless you!
April 23, 2021 at 17:10
1. KCC only report cases as ready for scheduling once the documents are processed. Hence – why Charlie has an unrealistic view. I asked him to switch to using DS260 submitted (which was the method used up to 2 years ago) but I don’t know if that fell on deaf ears, or whether it was drowned out by hundreds of emails asking him questions he cannot answer.
2. I can’t tell exactly what is going on at individual embassies. But clearly there is low capacity at the embassies, and according to Charlie there is low demand (although that is BS). All in all, something needs to change fast or we will see a very disappointing year.
April 21, 2021 at 19:05
is it really necessary to join the lawsuit if your case number is low eg:8k since where
i’m located the embassy has not given any interview or 2NL to any DV#2021 winner

It is your choice. It’s not a necessity – it’s about improving your chances. On a cold day you don’t have to wear a coat, but wearing one will reduce the chance of being cold.

Hi Brit.
Please can you share the links for the lawsuits waiting list ?

April 21, 2021 at 22:06
There’s no “deadline” but if you want a chance to be interviewed you should send the documents ASAP
April 21, 2021 at 22:09
Thanks for the quick answer…as i see i’m not the only one refreshing this website every 30 seconds
April 22, 2021 at 19:40

Hello,
Brit I want to ask you a question, my case number is AF23xxx which is suppose to be current in May, but I sent I submit my DS 260 in August 2020 and I sent my supporting documents on the 10th of April 2021, do you think I can be schedule for Interview in May. Secondly they KCC used 3 to 6 weeks to process documents, can they schedule me for interview in any other month after May.
April 22, 2021 at 01:34
Hi Brit, hard question here.
EU33XXX
I live in the US on a valid work visa but when I got selected I chose to go for CP instead of AOS.
Now that my case number is current and the whole situation is a complete mess, I was thinking about switching from CP to AOS. I am also a named plaintiff in one of the lawsuits.
I’d like to know what is your opinion about it.
Is it too late to switch from CO to AOS? Will being a named plaintiff increase my chance to get a green card over adjustment of status?
I understand it is a bit of a gamble but I really can’t figure out which of the options could be safer.
Thanks for your effort!
April 23, 2021 at 16:52
I would personally file AOS. You could file immediately since you are current (with the early filing policy). Get on with it.
Full info on DV related ASOS here – make sure you read the linked document from the first post in that thread.

There is no way to predict what will happen in individual cases. You simply have to wait and see.

Dear Simon peace be with you. Thanks for update.
I sent our documents & got answer wait for 3 to 6 weeks.
My question is my daughter turn to 16 after two weeks I didn’t sent police certificate of her is it necessary will send after she turn to 16?
My second daughter also turn to 21 after a month I sent all her documents to kcc, what is your advice for me?
April 23, 2021 at 16:53
Get the police certificate for the 16 year old to present at the interview.

Hi BritSimon,
Roughly how long after the VB is released would 2NL’s be sent out?
Thank you
April 23, 2021 at 17:02
A few days.
April 22, 2021 at 15:10
Hi Simon,
I’d like to ask
1. When VB goes current, does the consulate still need to wait for the processed-cases to be sent from KCC? or the consulate will have access to all the cases in that country right away?
2. In my country of chargeability, there are ~500 winners, and consulate has been interviewing for dv visa. As the VB is now current, many of us are thinking to write to US consulate, as a group, asking them to speed up the interview process since we are a small group of winners. Do you think this is a good idea? or do we just end up making things more complicated?
As always, thank you so much for your time and opinion!
April 23, 2021 at 17:13
1. KCC control that. Embassies know nothing about cases until KCC schedules the interviews.
2. You can do that if you want. It won’t make things more complicated, it probably will have no impact at all.
April 24, 2021 at 12:46
Got it. Thank you very much!

Hi brit,
I sent my documents before 1 month to [email protected]
and I’m sure my documents it’s full and right, my case 2021AS17970, address UAE – Abu dhabi which is open, but still no any update or any email from them!
1- what you think about my possibilities to process if all bulletin numbers was current?
2- I sent 2 emails asking about my documents update to [email protected] and [email protected] they reply only with auto reply, what I must do?
Thank you
April 23, 2021 at 17:21
1. I don’t know.
2. Keep trying – ONLY the KCCDV address.
April 22, 2021 at 18:51
Hi Brit, Still waiting on KCC to reply in regards to potentially changing to Sydney for interview, i did hear back from Sydney embassy saying they cant assist with a transfer unless i am in Australia. My next question is as if i did manage to be able to swap to Sydney it would cost almost 8K in flights and quarantine on both ends, i have joined the waitlist for Curtis Morrison lawsuit, if i got onto this as a plaintiff am i right in thinking it could force the Montreal embassy to see interview my case as “mission critical” or something oppose to me trying to go to another country?
Thanks!
April 23, 2021 at 17:23
That would be the objective. I can’t predict the outcome with certainty.
April 22, 2021 at 22:30
Hi Simon,
Don’t you think that maybe this year there are a lot less selectees that completed the DS form, therefore the reason to announce all regions current?
April 23, 2021 at 17:28
What like they were all beamed up by Space invaders?
No.
You only have to read the comments here daily from people that have sent documents MONTHS ago and go no response. How would that be possible if KCC had so few responses?
April 22, 2021 at 23:36
Good evening Brit,
From your video on ‘CURRENT’, I sent KCC an email to check on mine, 2021AF000101xx, I was told my CN is current and for that matter it is in Accra, Ghana, waiting for interview scheduling.
May I know if Accra Embassy is processing DV visas? If yes, may I know when do you think I may be scheduled.
Thanks.
April 23, 2021 at 17:32
No interviews have been scheduled at Accra yet.
